Moggie61 transaction [Moggie's Toyshop]

Jun 4, 2008

    1. This is my first time purchasing an MSD outfit and I have to see for the first it's been the worst.

Here is the outfit I purchased March 21'st.
      http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280208392355&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123

I was told it would have been shipped around the week of May tenth. It was a long wait but I could make it. Around may 15th he emailed me and informed me that he was running late and it would be shipped the next week.more weeks have passed and still no word it's even been shipped after nearly 3 months.

I'v emailed and emailed.. not so much just impatient, but because I have gotten no replies after almost two emails to him a day. I'v asked for a refund and still no response. Since it's been over 60 days, Ebay doesn't recognize the transaction and won't let me file for dispute. I'v contacted ebay and they tell me to call him, he lives in Australia and I cannot afford the overseas call..

have I just been screwed over..? what do I do? :(

    2. My apologies for replying here when I'm not part of the transaction.

Moggie is an excellent ebay seller and Dollzone agent, you haven't been screwed.

From experience of buying from a dollzone agent, here's why you've waited so long:

      - DollZone has 30-50 days production time for outfits.
      - Shipping from Australia to USA will also take a week or two.

Give it more time. :) PM Moggie here on DoA and I'm certain you'll get a reply.

Next time try Junkyspot (USA Dollzone Agent) or Featherfall (Canada Dollzone Agent) for your Dollzone clothing needs. Since you're in USA they will be better for you, especially with shipping. :)

      Best of luck!

    3. Hi there,

I am also waiting for a doll from (and coincidently that same outfit) from Moggie.

I was concerned too so I messaged him via ebay after about 50 days waiting. I was then informed that DZ was behind on production (which I then went and checked the DZ webpage and sure enough it said how they were behind on production) If you go to www.doll-zone.com you'll find this message now "We are happy to report that from March 26th onwards our production schedule will be back to normal. For orders placed after March 26th, delivery time will again be 25-30 days. We apologize for the long production delays we experienced, due to the lengthy Chinese New Year Holiday, the government's limitation on electricity use and other circumstances out of our control. Please excuse any inconvenience and trouble that this may have caused you, and thanks
DOLLZONE customer service 2008-3-26" So during the time you and I ordered they were already running behind on their production.

I emailed Moggie again on the 12th of May (before that announcement was up on DZ website) and got this reply:
"At the moment I'm still waiting on the shipment from Dollzone to arrive. He isn't lost in the mail and will be going out by registered post so he can be tracked if necessary. I'll be sending you a message as soon as he ships so you know when to expect him. Regards, Ian."

I haven't heard anything bad about Moggie as a seller, and considering the production delays, I think we will just have to keep waiting a little longer :...(

But still not replying to your emails isn't that good on his part. But he could always just be a bit busy.

    4. I too ordered through Moggie and it very good agent. Last time my girl too long went, but it has occured because of DZ.

    5. I've had numerous transactions with Moggie, done layaways which have gone out of the paypal refund period, made direct deposits into Aussie bank accounts and never had a problem. He's been around for ages and I know with my Dollzone purchases, that they were running behind for a while due to the pet special, then they caught up, but if the current lot of animals are as popular as the foxes and rabbits, then there could be delays as a result of that. I am 100% positive that Moggie will forward your items as soon as he receives them. I live in Australia. If you've got any problems contacting him, let me know. He's usually on the Dollzone thread although it can take a couple of days to reach him.

    6. This all makes me feel a bit better. I was just wishing he'd give me a little feedback or keep me updated. It's not the wait that I was worried about..just lack of communication. Thanks for all your help, deffinatly with the information on the DZ thing. My mother was the one pushing me to get a refund and it's hard explaining to her that DZ is the one shipping it to him before he ships it to me :P Thanks again.

    7. I wouldn't worry too much about it; I've done transactions with him before. It does take a while to get the stuff, but I always get it in the end. Maybe just wait another week and try again with an email? I realize that it's been a really long time since you originally did the eBay transaction, but--as everyone has said--Moggie is very reliable. ^^

    8. Cami_Hat and I bought our first dolls through Moggie. We ordered them in December and didn't get them 'til the following March.

Your outfit will arrive. You may wait a while, though. :)

    9. I think a lot of you are missing the point. The OP stated that she is no longer recieving any email responses from Moggie, and that it has been quite a long time since her order. She does have a valid concern, and even people with great reputations in the doll world have suddenly developed "issues." It's not right to tell her just to wait, and that because all of you had good experiences that she will too. If she was told May tenth, well, it is now a month, and now outfit and no responses from moggie, that is a problem. Kyndell, I would pm one of the mods and see if they can put a "page" on Moggie. Also try pming him here, as well as email. And save all of your email responses. Good luck!

    10. I'd add to the PM him here too. I had a transaction with him over a year ago, and his e-mail decided to start eating mine, but the PM's did the trick.

He doesn't seem like the most communicative of people, but he seemed honest.

    11. The reason Moggie is late in shipping, is that his car has broken down.

It's being looked at, and I'm in daily contact with him, as I'm waiting for a doll too....

(My problem is I go away for 3 weeks in 2 weeks and i NEED my doll before I go, because I'm supposed to take him with me... and if I don't pick the package up at the postal office within 2 weeks after arrival, they RETURN it. Try to imagine being in my shoes... :ablah:)

    12. Wow, that sucks.. maybe you can get a friend to pick it up for you?

    13. I would try to contact him again. I never ordered via Moggie but I planned to do so... I was looking at the feedback of Moggie, seems like he is a very slow person if it comes to shipping, no matter if it is a DZ product or not.

    14. The car being broken down makes Moggie unable to respond to emails?

    15. I'm actually waiting for 2 tings from his ebay shop too, since early May. I have tried ebay message few times but no reply :(

    16. This guy is scammer. Moggie should not be selling items that he doesn't have. From the looks of it, he has done this before, and is still doing it. Everyone who has ordered from him and has not recieved your items within the alotted time, usually a week or two after the closing of the bid, needs to get together and report him to eBay. If you don't, eBay is no longer able to help you due to the time lapse.

    17. Breanna (and everybody else):

The ebay auctions CLEARLY say that they are PREORDERS. They also CLEARLY say that if you're not an Aussie, you should contact seller for details on shipping since that's another business alltogether.

AND If you check the Moggie's Toystore website there is even an info on WHEN he orders from the different doll manufacturors, which is twice a month.
This April there was a delay in shipping from DollZone, which he ALSO says on the website.

It seems like the shipping time is the major problem here, and I kind of understand that he can't just borrow any car to drive fifteen 4-5 kg doll sendings to the post office when they live in the middle of nowhere.
He hasn't been able to drive anywhere ELSE in a week either, and we all (should) know Australia is a country where you *need* a car to get around.

About not answering mails, I totally agree, he should do that - but he DOES answer MSN every time I try...

Then again, maybe I'm special :P

    18. Moggie sells on preorder, just as 99% of distributors do. I ordered my DZ doll from him and I got caught up in the delays due to demand for pet dolls and didn't recieve him until just over three months since I ordered him. Kept me updated when I asked, so I certainly saw no problem. Strange that he isn't answering mails, very strange.

    19. It's not really strange if he's out in the middle of nowhere and relying on Telstra. I'm 30 mins from the centre of Brisbane, Australia's 3rd largest city and our internet connection is a joke. I'll try emailing him as well for you. While it's not guaranteed that he won't go 'wonky' like previous 'people with great reputations', he is well known in Australia and usually hangs around the various Dollzone threads to answer queries etc. If you're really worried, there's a phone no. on his website and if you or I haven't heard from him by Tuesday (our time) - Monday yours, I'll give him a ring and leave a message for you. We're not in the same state, so I can't pop over and see him, but a phone call is easy enough. Feel free to pm me.

    20. Alright it's good. :) Moggie just sent me this email

''Hi Kyndell, The clothes have actually arrived and I'll be shipping them out early next week. Sorry about the delay in getting back to you about it. Regards, Ian.''

xPRETTYNOTHINGS It looks like we'll be getting our stuff soon! :D It's great to hear..im such an impatient person xD

    21. I'm getting really worried now about my order, It was just a SD size corset, which wasn't even a preorder. I've tried to contact him severals times but to no avail. Its 12 days before I won't be able to open a dispute, so if I don't get a reply soon, I;m probably gonna open a dispute.. I mean, the corset did cost $100, which is a lot of money for just that and I don't intend on losing it- whether his car is broken or not ^^;;

    22. Car is fixed - he's shipping dolls & stuff on Tuesday :)

    23. Thanks to all (esp. Idril and Sue) for keeping the flow of information going and keeping the thread reasonable! We can all hold a virtual party when our dolls arrive!

    24. I am the same, I ordered a SD corset and a necklace. I have tried emailing many times and no reply... I have opened a dispute, but I would rather have the items than the money back...

    25. Same, they are such lovely corset! :D:D:D
If he doesn't reply with in a couple more days I am opening a dispute. ^^ Since his car has been fixed it may help a bit, but my patience is running low, which is unusual becasue I am willing to wait 80 days for a doll, but considering the item should have been shipped immediately.. :sweat

    26. We're all in the same boat here, so that's the least I could do, but no problem :D

I keep thinking that waiting for dolls & stuff will be easier once I actually get some, but I can see that's not the case at all

    27. kazezakura and SakuraLee - have you tried PMing him instead? Maybe that'll work.

And I can't believe someone called Moggie a scammer >=|

    28. I've been waiting since January 19th for my shoes and Dollzone feet, from Moogie. But I've been in so-so contact with him. He said he's shipping my items soon, so here's hoping. :) I'd like to have them soon!

    29. chizzie_shark, he hasn't logged on since the 28th of May ^^; I don't think it would get through ^^;

I'm afraid I'll have to stick to my plan for now until I recieve a bit of contact ^^

    30. Ah I hope the items come soon lol (for mine and everyones sake) I've been waiting paitently even though I'm not a paitnet person normally hehe.

My second doll which I ordered some months later than my dz Mo, has just been shipped so I could get the second ordered doll before my first ... then I wouldn't know which one was my real first doll :?

    31. Moggie is a great seller and very reliable; I wouldn't worry, you will get your order for sure. Though eBay has a limit as to how long they permit for preorders and I don't think that 50 days is acceptable under their policy. I think that 30 days is the limit, same with Paypal; you might want to look it up to make sure.

    32. I haven't gotten my doll yet, but it was sent 10.06.08 and the communication I've had with Moggie has been *fun*
(and a bit awkward since I've been close to desperate )

      But that's just me :P

    33. I just got an email from Moggie saying my Mo is on his way! I can't believe after all this waiting he's going to be here soon :)

    34. Great to hear xPRETTYNOTHINGS. ^^ Unfortunately I wasn't able to get into contact with him, even after opening a dispute so I'm claiming through paypal ^^;

    35. Oh thats no good to hear :( I'm going to send him an email to thank him for letting me know, if you wanted to tell me your ebay name (pm me if you want) I can put a little note in my email saying you are trying to contact him.

    36. I have escalated my claim with paypal :( He's not responding at all....

    37. Maybe he lost his internet connection, that's why he's not responding?

    38. In the last week I've sent three emails to him about the DZ clothes/shoes I ordered on eBay back on May 16 and have received no response. Does the stuff you mention include items from my DZ order?

He needs to contact people immediately to let us know he hasn't forgotten our orders.

    39. xPRETTYNOTHINGS its ok thanks. ^^ I've done the same as you kazezakura, and I've escalated my claim too.

    40. Hi friends

I was looking for Moggie, but he has contacted me just now.

    41. Hey helene, what did he say? I've emailed him about some Eyeco eyes and haven't heard from him yet, though I'm not panicked, as Moggie's always been reliable. I'd just like to hear what's going on.

    42. I still haven't gotten a response to my now four inquiries concerning my Dollzone order from eBay.

    43. I ordered a buddydoll Mars Tough from him April 14th and at first I had a couple Initial emails communicating with me, but after that, he did not return my emails. I was not too worried at first, but then he till this day has not contacted me. I did pm him here at DoA a couple times and once at his website. I had my daughter email him on her account with a misc. question about a doll. He answered her, so she asked him at that point to contact me, but he did not. I waited too long to file a dispute with paypal (I really messed up there :( not understanding things right:doh) I did file dispute with ebay. I don't know but, it looks like I might be out of a expensive doll or even a refund now. :...(

I would still like to have my doll though....I saved and sacrificed to buy him *_*

    44. I also placed an order with Moggie on 6/4/08 at first communication was great, but during the last 2 months I have had to email them (through their websites) and leave phone messages until I was blue but I also did not receive any response back regarding my doll order. Eventually I added them on MSN messenger and when they signed on I sent nearly 2 pages worth of MSN messages, about half an hour later they finally replied and told me my doll has just arrived in custom that same morning and that they would ship it out asap. The doll finally arrived at my doorstep 3 days later.

I am glad that the transaction went well in the end, but I am not satisfied with the customer service. Specially for an order of significant money amount, I would expect that at least one of the many and frequent emails (and phone message) I left would be returned even if it's to say that my order has been delayed from China. I just wanted to know if they are still alive and well and in business and that they will honor the transaction. If they are not able to return messages at least send everyone on their order list a notification or something to say to let us know that they are still there or if there are unforeseen detrimental circumstances that prevent them from being able to proceed with their business.

I believe it is very likely that I will not transact with Moggie again in the future. I did get my stuff in the end, but it was only after a lot of trouble chasing them around, as a customer I find this absolutely ridiculous. Customer service is equally as important to me aside from receiving the goods when transacting with people.

I think Ian and Innana are great people and fun to hang out with but I'm the type to be exact, strict and punctual when it involves money and business transactions.

    45. I received the item from him today.. and as it being i made the payment to him march 21's, it's been 4 months. xD Oh well. The outfit is adorable and in great conditon. Moggie will get you your stuff.. but you gotta have patience. I understood about the wait, I just wish he coulda kept good contact.. Good look on the rest of your stuff!

    46. I got my DZ doll this week, I ordered on the 27th March but that was around the time DZ was behind schedule and Moggie let me know about this. But yeah was worth the wait!

    47. Got everything as ordered (doll, custom faceup, clothes, two wigs, carrier) sooner after shipping from Oz than expected. She is lovely and am a very satisfied customer.

    48. I would like to think they will still honor their transaction with me too. That would be wonderful!!! ... I wish they would email me. I have no problem with patience...that is not the problem, it's the silence:?. Congrats, to you all that received your dolls and items :) :) I'm pleased for you and it gives me some hope.

    49. I'm waiting on a Male Shoyo and a Pair of Eyeco Eyes.. I've tried contacting him through AIM to see any progress but no dice.. ;-;

I ordered her the 5th of June and since then Communication hasn't been all that great... Just wish he would pop on once in a while... I just want Trinity soon...

I'm going to send him a Email tonight to see if I can get any info out of Ian or Ianna...

    50. i purchased two pairs of eyeco eyes on june 17th.
one for me and one for my friend.
      my payment was instant transfer.

i recieved an email from eBay on june 26th telling me that the auction had been cancelled on one of the pairs of eyes for "reasons null and void".
i went and looked and all of moggie's toyshop items are "unlisted".
when i clicked on them it said it was not there or something ...
eBay advised me to not go through with the payment if i hadn't already
and that i should get my money back.

"We strongly recommend that you do not go ahead with the purchase however if you have already paid for this item but haven't received it, you need to act quickly to get your money back."

i sent an email to moggie a few days ago asking for a full refund.
i have heard nothing in response, and then i sent another email today.

my friend and i spent together around $40.00.
this has never happened to me before, and i am worried ...

    51. Just flitted in and found the main area of Moggie's site and found this:

Greetings and Welcome to Moggies Toyshop
*PLEASE NOTE* This store is currently undergoing reconstruction as we rethink the products and market that we will be catering to. We apologise for any inconvenience.

    52. I had to file a paypal claim after not hearing a single word from them in over a month. I got my refund within a few days and an apology for the 'mess.'

Maybe they are feeling too far in over their heads? I don't know, there is no excuse for not even acknowledging your customers.

    53. I think with their redoing they've bitten off more than they can chew. ^^;;
Either was I got my money back through a paypal dispute~

    54. Add me to the list of people who have opened a Paypal claim because Ian wouldn't respond to e-mails (in my case, the eBay message system and e-mail through the Moggie's Toyshop website). *sigh* My order for two outfits was placed through the eBay store on May 17th--and even if the problem is that the supplier delayed shipment, that's more than enough time for Ian to let me know what's going on. It's really a shame that things are going this way; I hate having to open a Paypal claim to get his attention, and I liked buying from Moggie's Toyshop in the past.

    55. I ordered my DZ cherry from him in the beginning of March through Ebay.
      I payed promptly.
It has taken over 2,5 months before I received my doll.
Communication was friendly, but slow. I had to send three emails to get one reply.
PM-ed him over here as well. The lack of communication made me nervous.
Filed an ebay complaint when the 60-day-limit was coming nearer, and left that open until I received my dollie.

Like others have stated before: in the end you will get your stuff, but you need to be very patient, and able to deal with a lack of communication.

    56. Um...I ordered a fullset floy and some other items from Moggie at mid April, my last reply from them was some time around May at DOA (tried their website but no response), they said that the order should be ready at the end of May, so i waited....but no communication at all after that.
i even tried their Msn, they seem to be online from time to time, but they didn't reply my message at all.
I'm very disappointed of their slow or even nil communication, now its probably too late for me to file a dispute to get my refund.
I feel frustrated cos floy was gonna be my first doll, but now I'm no so sure if I'm able to receive him from Moggie.
      well... any suggestions?

    57. Just a note to everyone: It took me two and a half months to get my fullset outfit from Moogie (a DZ MSD outfit), and I ordered a pair of shoes at the same time from him. It took me FOUR MONTHS and TWO WEEKS to get the shoes. He did, however, give me something for free to make up for it. ^^

I did get my items, but it sure took forever, and I had to write him like ten times to get a response.. but I did get one. Just keep persisting, guys.

    58. I won't go into my story, because it mirrors everyone else's (ordered three DZ items, paid on May 2, haven't received as of today). I've e-mailed him through the shop and through Paypal, but haven't yet heard anything. I would have appreciated SOME communication from him, but I've gone ahead and asked for a refund, even though I'd prefer the clothes.

We'll see what happens now. I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it's over $100 and, well, you know. That's a lot of money to just be out.

    59. Yeah, I have a similar bad situation with him. I ordered some things way back in April I think, and have no recieved. Supposedly the items have been resent twice, and I have not gotten those either. I sent him another message on Ebay about a week ago and haven't gotten a reply, maybe I should try getting ahold of him on here. Does he ever get on here anymore?

    60. My transaction was almost $200 and after opening an eBay dispute I finally got a refund. I NEVER got an email about why the items were being detained.

I asked another distributor about Dollzone, who got back with me in less than 24 hours. I know I will be dealing with that distributor from now on.

My suggestion? Go for the refund. Dollzone is having difficulty getting their products to their distributors due to the recent weather catastrophes so who knows when any of them will be able to get their orders in to ship out to their customers.
