Moggie61 transaction [Moggie's Toyshop]

Jun 4, 2008

    1. I think in the long run people will prefer to go to a different dealer than to wait four months and two weeks for only a pair of shoes. ^^;; I don't usually except to wait that long even for a doll.

    2. its a shame but I do beleive his reputation as a seller especially on ebay with all those negs has been trashed.. I guess life happens but not to reply to people that there is no excuse for , Unless his internet is down still you find a way..

Im so sorry to hear this Moggie was always a top notch seller around here and on ebay. not sure what to think

    3. It could have all been avoided had he just e-mailed the people whom he owed merchandise to let them know that Dollzone was behind and there would be a delay. Like you, I don't know what to think. I either want my stuff or my money back, but I don't want to throw gasoline on the fire if he's going through a rough patch.

      *sigh*

    4. I felt bad about having to do it, too, because he HAS been so reliable and helpful in the past.

I left neutral instead of negative feedback on the items because he DID refund everything.

I just hope he's able to get everything together so he can become reliable again. We NEED our Dollzone reps!

    5. I bought a pair of eyes off Moggie's Toyshop, the order made on 6/6/08 and it's nearly a month and no eyes. The eyes were labelled 'in stock' and it couldn't have taken more than a week for it to ship from one state to the other. I tried PMs and emails asking whether if its shipped or whether its being ordered from eyeco hence the delay but I haven't received a word from Moggie, neither has he replied to my PMs or emails. It's only about $17 worth but it could have been much worse if I were not wary about buying off the site from the beginning, judging from past feedback records here on DoA and decided to try buying only 1 item first as a test. Please contact me soon before the 45 days are up =(

    6. I didn't have a chance to leave feedback. Filed one of those dispute things to paypal or through paypal. Still haven't been refunded for the bag I order or anything else. Not happy it did seem like a shame there feedback was good but then went bad. I waited two months to get nothing I can't but help feel like I've been had... still haven't got ANY money back.

Glad you got re-funded though. Hopefully paypal will work it's magic...

    7. I feel the exact same way.. He really should have just said if something was wrong.. :(

Yes it's very true~ Get it together Moggie, we need you~ :(

I felt bad but I filed a claim with Paypal.. :(

    8. I'm another worried customer. My 45 days has passed for paypal (the website said 50 days wait on the order). It's been over 2 months. :'( So now I'm still waiting on that bag I ordered. Or my $US55 back. :\

    9. This is such a shame that this happened, we need our DZ reps!

    10. Hi guys- been trying to stay out of this discussion altogether as we're also DZ reps, but -- frankly I think there's a couple of things that need to be said.

DZ is -not- currently experiencing huge delays. Now and then they forget an outfit, or make a mistake, but that's par for the course and rectified as quickly as possible. At the moment, there aren't enormous delays in production - we placed an order in mid June and it should be arriving here in a week or so, right on cue.

I don't know what's happened to Moggie. On a personal level, I'm very worried because Ian used to be on MSN - and I haven't been able to catch him online for weeks now.
I think something -has- to have happened to him, as in the past he has been very reliable.

On speaking to Dollzone, they have asked that anyone that purchased Dollzone goods from moggie and has not received them please contact them directly at :

      [email protected]

Please be prepared to provide payment proof, dates etc -- and I'm sure they'll do their best to help sort this out.

I don't know what to suggest for items of other companies - I hope Moggie is alright, and that he can clear this up. As we are not part of this transaction, we will not be intermediaries - but DZ is aware of the situation and willing to help customers out.

      Best of luck!

    11. I was rather disappointed upon reading this thread as i have been very pleased with my DZ i bought from moggie I can't comment on postage as the doll i purchased was a left over from a past shipment and i picked her up rather then posting her but i also notice they don't have any items listen on their ebay store as i was planning on buying a fullset doll from the soon but even if they relist my item i don't think i will purchase him.
Dissapointing as they seemed like very nice ppl and there are very few ppl selling bjds and related items in aus

    12. My DZ Cloud from Moggie has finally made it through the mail from Aussie, after a *very* long stop in France...

As I've said in earlier posts, he was sent out from Moggie's on June 10th, so it's not Moggie's fault he's late this time XD
(Can hardly say it's his fault that his car broke down either )

But to all of you who are waiting: Be patient & positive :)

    13. But for how long? I feel like I've been patient and positive since May 2. I've tried e-mailing him twice and have received no reply. Nothing. I was prepared to accept that maybe he'd been sick or had been killed or something, but I have a suspicion we're just being jerked around.

Going to follow up on Uneide's advice, I think...

Edited to add: I just checked his website and it is "currently undergoing reconstruction as we rethink the products and market that we will be catering to. We apologise for any inconvenience." This does NOT bode well.

Edited to add 2: I've sent an e-mail to Doll-Zone per Uneide's suggestion. I included links to each Ebay item purchased and a copy of my Paypal reciept. I will let y'all know what I find out!

Edited to add 3: Well, Dollzone has my vote for quick customer service. Within an hour, I had a reply:

      Dear
we are so sorry have this problem ,
we are contact moogie shop everyday , but not have them reply too
so we are hope you can give us time ,if have a week them not reply us , we are hope can give your a part compensate
please believe us ! waiting we are news
      thanks
      sunny

Bless their hearts...this must be such a pain in the rump for them.

      More updates later!

    14. I also contacted DZ to see if they can get in contact with Moggie. They asked me to wait a week to see as well. I've tried calling Moggie, but all I get is an answering machine (I did leave a message but I doubt it'll be answered). -_- I feel bad for DZ, they really trusted Moggie and it's not their fault this is happening.

    15. I do, too, and in my return e-mail, I hope I was able to convey that to them. At this point, it's all a write-off for me...I don't expect to see the merchandise OR the money. I've always had phenomenal luck with online shopping, so I suppose it was inevitable that I would eventually get screwed. If Dollzone is willing to make it right, that's fantastic, but I don't really expect them to replace everything. That they are aware of it and of Moggie's flake-out, well, that's fine with me.

    16. Yes, I agree. =]

    17. Just wanted to let you guys who are waiting on Moggie know that my friend ordered from him last month and after 30 days filed a PayPal dispute because of all that was going on. She was able to immediately raise it to a claim (which usually doesn't happen unless PayPal can't contact the other party via conventional means). Moggie had 10 days to respond to the claim but he didn't and she got refunded. I'd recommend to those of you that paid via PayPal to file a claim before your 45 days are up. For those of you in which the deadline's passed or paid via other methods, I do hope everything works out for you all and you get the items you are waiting for :(

...I can't help but wonder if something happened to him; I do hope he's alright.

    18. Just got my dispute ruled in my favor, but no money back until it's in his account. ;-;

      $350 gone...

    19. Congratulations seem kind of hollow, with that much money at stake. At least you have some resolution and I hope you're able to recover your money.

    20. Paypal just closed my dispute in my favor, too, and (to my total surprise) I did receive a full refund, $92. Keet, I *really* hope you get the same happy ending--and, like everybody else, I do hope that nothing terrible has happened to make Ian's business behavior change so drastically.

    21. Thanks, I do appriciate the kind words.

Thanks Cynthia, I hope so too, I really really need the money right now..

I'm thinking about trying to contact him for a refund... ;-; Don't know how though

    22. I hardly want to say anything bad about ppl I don't know, but when I finally had my DZ Cloud in my hands, he was terribly badly packed, and his ankle was broken...

So I'm kind of changing my mind a bit about being nice and happy right now - Moggie isn't online and doesn't answer emails, and I had to take my damaged doll up with DollZone directly. Thankfully I made a fair deal with them, and I'm having the broken parts replaced, as I'm so in love with the doll already I didn't want to return him XD

But this is what he looked like in the box:
His feet weren't covered in bubble wrap and the box seemed too short for him. The top of his head and his feet both hit the cardboard when he was lying down in there.

So... I cut the bubble wrap up... and found a piece of resin lying loose.
Okay, I thought, this could be glued on and sanded down, I work as an audiologist and we handle resin-like materials daily (ear molds). Yes, I'm slowly dying from toxic dust already, so sanding resin will be just like adding crack to the existing toxins

Anyway, I removed his foot to make sure there was no additional damage, and the ankle ball joint came off looking like this:

It had a crack in it before I removed the foot, but when I did, it came off in TWO PARTS.

I mean, I DID carry the box from the post office and home, with the feeling it felt a bit too loose... I had expected there to be a cardboard box AROUND the dollzone box, but the doll box was just wrapped in brown paper.

I mean... Just cuz I bought a cheap doll, doesn't mean it can be handled like this. He should have been packed properly, at least :(

Anyway - as I said earlier, I have fixed this with DZ directly. As I couldn't get an answer from Moggie, I e-mailed and faxed DZ and they're sending me the parts I need to change...

But I was looking forward to my first unwrapping in bliss, and this was so disappointing, if I didn't know it wasn't supposed to be like this, he might've been my first and LAST BJD.
Thankfully, he's not my first - or my last - doll. I just didn't unwrap my first doll myself :P

    23. Phew, Idril, that's terrible about your boy. At least Dollzone are so understanding, so it's not a total loss. :)

I don't know what to think about Moggie anymore. I'm still hoping against hope that my 3 pairs of Eyeco eyes will arrive safe and sound. Totally was not expecting this when I ordered them. I ordered them on the 30th May, so I've just passed the 45 days for refunds too.

I hope nothing terrible has happened. Certainly I want my money back or the eyes, but there's still this faint worry that maybe Moggie's in trouble or something.

    24. Idril: That's really terrible and an absolutely careless way of packing. Someone who's been around and handling BJDs for so long should know better.

Keet: I'm so sorry to hear that.. Maybe you can try to call Moggie and leave a message? His contact information is on his website here.

    25. I'm sorry to hear about what's happened with so many people and their orders:( I hope everyone here gets compensated.

Still no contact for me from him..... "sigh" I have sent him numerous emails :( I ordered in April and the last email was late April or very early June. I MISSED my paypal dispute date. 650$ ;_; I preordered the Buddydoll Mars Tough. I wonder if Buddydoll would help me in anyway.

    26. Ok, now I'm really worried. I've been talking to Ian on a daily basis for months up until last month... He hasn't been on MSN and he's ALWAYS been logged in before. Is there anyone near him who can check up on him?

    27. I called the shop today but ended up with the answering machine. I agree with the checking up on him thing - is there anybody in VIC who can get down to his shop? The address is on his site - it's in Warburton.

      I'll PM a mod now.

    28. That's what had me wondering too, I talked to him 3 weeks ago and then suddenly he was *gone* as in no longer online... So I'm still hoping that everything has a logical explanation - but still that nothing bad has happened to him... (though yes, I'm annoyed too)

    29. Warburton is near Healesville and past the Yarra Valley, on the outer, outer outskirts of Melbourne, it's about an 1 hour and half away from Berwick which is an 1 hour and half away from the cbd of Melbourne, it's equivalent to going from the rocks/darling harbour in Sydney to the Blue Mountains or the other way going to Wollongong. Also with the price of petrol being as expensive as it is, it's may not be affordable for many people to take the trip out to Warburton, even if there are people who live nearby, also there are many people who don't own cars and rely on public transport. To be perfectly honest if he is not returning emails or calls and he is not on MSN either than i seriously doubt that anyone is going to have success in tracking him down in Warburton and in all honesty it's probably not the best idea to go and "check up on him." This is an example of buyer beware anywhere in the world. I myself have had a bad experience with a dealer in America, so it's not just this particular dealer who is giving its customers a bad experience. When dealing with dealers, no matter where in the world they are, or how good or bad their reputation is, common sense and a buyer savy need to be applied. If there are people who are having problems with dealers and not just Moggie, you can always contact the doll company and express your concerns, which is what i have done in the past with another dealer and company resulting in an amicable solution. Anyway this is just my opinion and thought i would share my thoughts. I am by no means condoning the dealer's apparent lack of customer service, i am just offering advice and my perspective on the issue, which might prove useful to people who are currently having difficulties with dealers.

    30. Moggie is already in the Unresolved Transactions usergroup because of what has been brought up in this thread. For all intents and purposes this thread is his Paging thread as he is a dealer and not a private member, and the transactions he has been involved in are mainly conducted offsite via his own website. At this point it might be time to start thinking about filing a complaint with the local police and see if that will yield a response from Moggie.

    31. I don't think Moggie is intentionally scamming people, but we just need to know what is going on. My order is on the low end of the scale; some people here have ordered over $100 worth of things and that can't be allowed to just disappear into thin air.

Called again just then with no response. Is there any way we can find out what's happened?

I had no idea Warburton was so far out from Melbo O.o

    32. hi all, i have known and bought from moggie for a year and a half and have had NO problems. paypal and ebay are giving them hell at the moment with the keep the money for 21 days before you can access it stuff. they are trying to work out the problems but it will take time. be patient and they will get back to you. it is hard i know when you order and pay for something and it doesnt turn up for ages, but i know i have to be patient and it works out. these forums dont help with matters at all. it just meaans more people claim and get worried and that means extra delays and no money to order from their companies. i know last time i visited the moggies they were hard at trying to answer people and get on top of things again.

    33. moggie is not a scammer and he is having probs sure, but wouldnt you too if you sold something and was paid and then had to wait for 21 days before paypal gives it to you and then order it from the company and have to wait for it to come to you, and then box it up to send. and then find out that the seller has put a dispute in and got their money back and so the doll is sitting there and you have just lost the money for it!!!!!

    34. yep they have several dolls that they have lost on and people getting scared from these sort of postings and putting claims in. grr i feel for them i do.

    35. I don't think anyones accusing him of scamming elisabethflanagan, but some communication from his end would go a long way to ease peoples minds that he hasn't just vanished.

    36. Why I feel the need to defend my actions to people who aren't directly involved in Moggie's current customer-service problems, I don't know . . . but here goes.

To those of you who are criticizing the worries and actions of people who have paid substantial amounts of money to Moggie, only to have him ignore all communication: I appreciate your loyalty to him, and I'm sure he does, too. As I said earlier in this thread, I was a very happy repeat customer of Moggie's Toyshop until the current debacle, and I'm concerned that something bad has happened to Ian, beyond "just" being backed up with orders.

But please consider what it's like to be on the other end of his silence. Those of us who contacted Moggie multiple times--over a period of weeks or even months, without getting any response--and then (if we still could) filed a Paypal dispute to protect ourselves, are hardly panicking, jumping on some kind of DoA bandwagon, or being unfair to him. Given the rigid time limitations for Paypal disputes, there aren't many choices for people who can't afford to lose that much money, but also can't get any response from the seller.

If Ian's volume of orders is so large that he can't even answer direct inquiries from customers whose money he has had for weeks or months, then I do sympathize with him, but that's a serious breach of good business practice on his part. Automated e-mail responses aren't impossible to set up--and I, for one, would have been more than satisfied with a simple impersonal sentence assuring me that my order would be filled someday. But when I can't even get that much reassurance, yes, I do decide that I'd better take the steps I can to retrieve my money.

To belabor the obvious: plenty of other posters in this thread have paid Moggie a lot more than I did, and waited so long without any response from him to their e-mails and eBay messages that now they can't file a dispute. They are entirely right to be worried. And if they choose to post about their worry here on DoA to see whether anyone else is in a similar position--well, I think they have a right to do that, too.

Just as those of you who think the rest of us are mistreating Moggie have every right to hold your own opinion.

    37. Okay, I want to reiterate what Cynthia said...I don't like being made to feel that I should apologize for coming down on Moggie so hard. He's committed a serious breach of business trust and regardless of whether or not he's a great guy, I'm upset.

Today, it's been 78 days since I paid him. By the time I realized that the items weren't coming from a buyer I had previously trusted, it was too late to file with Paypal or Ebay. Frankly, I even hesitated to post here because of how popular he seemed to be with other DoA members and I didn't want to stir the pot. So, I posted on Zone of Zen instead and a member there pointed me in the direction of this thread.

According to his profile page, he's not been on DoA since May 28. That means he's not checked his PMs or to see if he's being paged or has a dispute against him. I've tried contacting him through Ebay, Paypal, his website and here, with absolutely no response. Dollzone has tried contacting him with no luck. Is he hurt? Dead? In a coma? I don't know, but if that WAS the case, I'd think his partner (Inanna?) would come here and let us know. Or post it on their website. According to Uneide (I think it was her), Dollzone is experiencing NO shipping issues at the moment, so there's no point in blaming them...it's not their fault.

I'm sure Moggie's a great guy and a lot of fun to hang out with, but he has $112 of mine and I either want it back or the merchandise it paid for. I doubt that I'll see it, unfortunately, so my poor opinion of his business practices still stands.

I'll be d****d if I'm going to apologize for that.

    38. I ordered a wig on Apr-17-08. Like others I didn't realize the pre-order wouldn't be sent till the auction had run it's course. My mistake, so I patiently waited. A few days before it was too late to file a paypal dispute, I asked if it was still pending. Swiftly received an email saying not to worry I was in the loop. Now I get no replies and probably won't see a refund or the wig.

Part of the reason I didn't file a claim against moggie61 when I could was due to the high praise on this site.

Adding my story, hoping others can without fearing retaliation for being honest.

    39. I also had two eBay transactions with this store in May. I allowed extra time for shipping because I was away and also because sometimes when items are coming to me from Australia or Southeast Asia, I've noticed it can take some time to ship, especially if the seller has to obtain some of the items from a dealer. I transacted with Moggie before and it was fine, so I wasn't too worried.

After reading this thread for a couple of weeks and seeing some of the eBay feedback being left, I noticed that people weren't getting their items. I checked and didn't have a record of getting mine either, plus no shipping notice or tracking number was ever sent to me. I messaged on eBay and asked about my items, got no response at all. I had bought the items using my credit card via Paypal as I always do, so I was able to put in for chargebacks. I've gotten refunded on one transaction already (which makes me think Moggy may have authorized the chargeback though he didn't respond to my message) and expect to get a refund on the other through my CC company.

I was not able to leave eBay feedback due to the 60 day window expiring (I keep forgetting it's 60 days and not 90 now) so I thought I would post here. If it was just a 10 dollar item, I might have let it go, but my items totaled around 80 USD which is not a sum of money I can just write off.

Moral of the story is if you're in the USA, ALWAYS use the CC paypal for overseas Paypal transactions on eBay. You have a much better chance of getting a refund and getting it a lot quicker.

Edited to add, These are just the facts. I have no desire to bash anyone and I've enjoyed some of Moggie's posts on this board, but after a certain amount of time passes with no communication you have to put in for the refund. That's just how the rules are set up.

    40. There is a post at Bad Dolly Deals about Moggie:
      http://community.livejournal.com/bad_dolly_deals/202456.html

This person has won her Paypal dispute, but has not received a refund from Moggie - there are no funds in the account. The total amount due to her is $373.99.

All of you are welcome to post on BDD. I hope this gets resolved soon.

    41. It is people like you that make buyers not want to report a scammer, because you are defending him and basically try to make everyone feel bad for doing so. I've seen this happen so many time with reputable people and then they end up being scammers in the end even though friends trusted them.

It's been longer than 21 days before anyone filed a claim, so he should have had money by then, and he hasn't sent any dolls so he's not out of money AND dolls because nobody received anything and I'm sure if someone received the doll after getting a refund they would resend the money!

Also Paypal holding his money does not stop him from contacting people. I'm not saying he's definitely a scammer but if you're a friend of his why don't you find out if something has happened and try and help these people who have lost money rather than belittling them and making excuses (which doesn't help at all). It wouldn't make you a bad friend to help him out this way but being rude to the people who have losts hundreds of dollars isn't helping him either.

    42. Slightly OFF topic, but amounts to the experience with DZ and their products... Which could explain some of the box problems
I thought I should mention this little detail since I am an avid owner of Dollzone products and the awareness of the boxes etc. I get my dolls fine in their packages (ordered from DDE mind you) and the boxes themselves are always in terrible condition. The glue isn't the best and sometimes the boxes are falling apart. Typically tho the doll is fine (mostly because im sure if DDE runs into probs they send them back to the company for a refund/or new doll etc). The way the doll is wrapped looks just like that however. They don't wrap their dolls the greatest sometimes, but dolls always come with a face cover and most of the dolls I have usually have protection on their ankles when I get them. Moggie who orders them then mails them, should have kept the same packaging the doll came with and only checked to see which doll belonged to the buyer and send them to them as soon as he could.

However... Moggie should have packaged the box in better condition then presented to you (instead of the paper wrapping). That doll should have been in his box plus another box to protect that one.

I haven't had any deals with Moggie as it was just brought to my attention, but the communication and the lack of there of needs to be fixed. As far as I noticed there isn't any language boundaries in which he isn't able to communicate clearly or any reason for him to not contact the individuals he is working with.

    43. Well, I emailed Dollzone again, after giving them a week to continue trying to contact Moggie. The first time I emailed, they responded within an hour. Now, it's been over 24 hours with no reply. I don't hold them responsible, so I don't want to push them, but I'm not confident that there will be any resolution to this. It breaks my heart, because I really wanted the clothes I ordered, but I just don't have any faith that it will happen.

I'll update if I hear back from Dollzone (or Moggie, but I'm not holding my breath).

    44. I talked with a friend who has ordered with Moggie before (shes purchased a lot of his custom clothing that INanna makes and also some of the fetish items that they make) since it came up today when I was picking up the dollie I bought from her. She mentioned that Moggie typically doesn't have problems except in the shipping department because he has to wait to send off the dolls when he gets them. She also mentioned getting dolls from him here in US is a little strange because there are plenty of stores here in the Us that will ship to people here. The only reason why someone would order from him would be for the custom clothing or some of the company made dolls that aren't available in the us etc. But then again he has a good reputation from everyone I have talked with so that would be why most people flock to him to order. At DDE (Denver Doll Emporium) they ship internationally tho too so it just depends. I told her there was communication problems and she said that is unlike him because he typically gets back to the person as soon as he can. Something bad must of happened or something really serious that is giving him a hard time.

I know that doesn't explain everything that is happening to everyone nor gives him the excuse to not get back to someone, but I think Inanna should talk with those who have ordered with him and let people know what is up. I would just like to add that staying calm is the best way to keep your self from freaking out. I will see what else I can learn from some of my dollie friends that have been in the hobby longer than I have and see what they think. I will let you guys know what I find.

    45. So...would there be any real point in attempting to contact Moggie or emailing Dollzone at this point? It doesn't seem like much is happening right now. I ordered in May and I've heard nothing and now it is way too late to file a claim with paypal. I'm more than a little worried and annoyed at having had no communication since May. Hopefully someone will hear something about all of this and maybe we can all get this resolved.

    46. hrm moogie owns me a samurai outfit commison and my boy that i sent there for modelling.... so erm :(

    47. When did you last have contact with him? Do you have more detail?

    48. @#$# I hate to do this.

Again - PLEASE note that neither me NOR Featherfall are in any way involved in this - we're simply another of DZ agents, and trying to help people sort this out.

DON'T email -us- information on your purchases, etc, but email DZ directly. Now, with that disclaimer:

Dollzone has asked me to let customers know that Moggie HAS NOT PLACED ANY ORDERS WITH THEM IN OVER THREE MONTHS- the last order he placed with them was on April 20th.

That's right. Three months. And they haven't been able to contact him at all in a month.

So, those of you out of money -- if you used a CC, initiate a chargeback.
I don't even know what to suggest to other people. :(

Dollzone is a victim too - they haven't received a penny from him in over three months, so as you can understand they are very upset.

I repeat: if you ordered a DZ item on pre-order from him in the last three months, according to DZ the orders were NEVER placed.

I am not sure if it was the case with Buddy-doll or other companies, as I've only heard from DZ.

DZ cares a great deal about its customers, and its very upset that this has happened. :(
Any of you that can provide information to prove your purchase within those three months( after April 20th), please contact DZ directly -- they are hoping to have this sorted out, and find a way to help out.

    49. Has anyone tried contacting him via this link?

      http://moggie.mine.nu/shop/index.php?main_page=contact_us

I hope all goes well and people get their money/order.

I must admit I'm a bit concerned over his sudden disappearance. I had a transaction with him last December with no problems other than it took a month to recieve the item. But he did respond to my email at the time.

    50. I'd just like to add that if someone paid for their item with credit card via Paypal and it is now too late for a Paypal dispute, contact your credit card company directly. I'd suggest that you write a letter to file a dispute because a telephone call does not always protect your rights, or if the credit card company has an online disputed-charge reporting procedure (as AMEX does), then file the dispute through that. In the US the credit card companies often have longer dispute reporting windows than Paypal. I don't even bother with Paypal's process unless I used a cash Paypal balance to pay for something.

    51. So wait.. almost none of the orders people are waiting on have even been placed with DZ? But he kept taking orders and people's money?
Since it's been 3 months.. BUT DZ were able to contact Moggie within the lastmonth.
That means that he's been ignoring us directly and not Dollzone for quite some time it seems.
...Wow. :/ I wonder what he spent the money on..

    52. Thanks for posting here for me pipercat99. I was just activated here today.

Just to update everyone on my latest move. I got to the bank and filed a charge back. The banker did not know why PayPal would not pay as they are supost to cover to a point, funds or not she said. Who knows. Hopefully the bank will get my money back.

Now does anyone know where ( as in here in my state or in Australia), that I can report this to the police? This is theft or fraud anyway you cut it. Unless everyone in his family is dead, Heaven forbid, then someone should have been keeping up with orders and working the site. Add up all of the complaints and there is a good sized amount of money involved. This needs to be taken to the police and I am willing to do that. PM me if you have any info.

    53. Glad you're activated, and you're welcome for posting for you.

      File a report here:
      http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

They will forward the report to the correct police agency. Anyone in the US can file a report to the above link.

Is there anyone in Australia that can help coordinate with contacting his local police?

I'm sorry this is happening to all involved.

    54. I have bought successfully from Moggies before and I've become VERY concerned with the strange turn of events!!

I have contacted a friend i went to boarding school with who is within 40 minutes drive of the address listed on his site and is willing to go there this Saturday 26th July after work. She'll call me as soon as she goes there and I will report back on here as soon as I hear from her. If he's not there she'll ask the local police what the next step is on our behalf. Its not a perfect answer but it may be of some help to everyone here...

I'm personally very concerned by the out of character behaviour, I am sure there is a very sound reason behind all of this, Again I can only re-iterate what has been said, file your paypal claims, contact DollZone directly about purchases that have lapsed the time frame set by paypal.

And I strongly suggest that you all say a prayer that Ian and his wife are all right as I truly cannot see them "scamming" anyone!!

    55. I've explained the situation to my friend and although she's not a collector she understands the gravity of the amount of money you are all missing. If she has no luck she'll contact the local police and ask what the next step is in recovering your money and to find out what happened to them (Ian and Inanna)

    56. well the last time was lets see 2 mths back... have yet to pay him,,, but i did send my 2 kids over for measurement taking :(

    57. Kagari, that's terrible! Having your doll go missing is probably worse than us just losing our money. I seriously hope we find out what's going on ASAP so you can get your kids back.

Relying on your friend, whitewings. Perhaps we should hold off contacting the police until she's visited the address. Only one more day's wait.

    58. :evil::evil::evil:

I don't even have the words to express how infuriated I am over this. Not even just for my case, which is a fairly minor loss in the scheme of it, but for those of you who have ordered dolls or, in Kagari's case, sent him their dolls for customization work, then that is one h*ll of a serious deal.

Uneide, you are absolutely right...Dollzone is as much a victim as we are. While we're all concerned about our role in this drama, we need to remember to continue to treat them with respect and not place them in an uncomfortable position by demanding recompense for our losses. If we can come to an equitable deal with them, great. But demanding satisfaction from Dollzone when they are clearly not at fault would be wrong.

I've contacted my credit card company and they said they would be contacting me by mail with the appropriate instructions within 30 days...that seems excessive, but at least it's something. I'm going to fill out a report on the Internet Security website and if someone here files a local police report in Australia, I'll provide whatever information is needed to do my part.

Uneide, again, thank you so so so very much for all your help! You've been such a doll (hee!) for going above and beyond by sharing what you've learned about the situation with us. This recent information is an eye-opener to be sure and I'm still so distraught about it. I hope Dollzone realizes that we don't blame them!

I just now checked Moggie's ebay feedback and as recently as July 12, he's had positive feedback and with a comment that the shipping was fast. Plus, there are people who are getting refunds of some sort, both with and without Paypal's help. I'm really really interested to see what a trip to his house/business turns up.

    59. I opened a paypal dispute and it went my way but unfortunately paypal couldn't recover what I lost. It's not much compared to others here, I'm more worried that the site appears so innocent, anyone could still make an order without knowing anything.
