Oh he looks so soft and squishy sweet! I know he's not really squishy but he looks so mushroomy I can imagine it XD
Thanks I'm hoping his trip from france will be quick. It's almost worse waiting now than it was for him to be made. Don't worry I'm the same way. He's going to be a Perfect companion for Myca!
Always seems that way for sure. [edit] He's arrived and so cute! I love the jackalantern plush bag he was shipped in. And I'm getting happy vibes from the fact that MissNekOtaku has included a pic of my little guy on her listing for the doll.
Zomg congrats! I just got my little one on Tuesday but I've not had general well being and nicer weather to come together.
@3nvy Congrats, spidey's beautiful and super cute! I'm still wanting one of each size myself, might have to bite the bullet and order sometime relatively soon^^.
So after eyeing them for weeks I bit the bullet today and ordered the two black and red Migalarae (the larger spiders) Missnekotaku had in stock. The discount event was about to end and said event included free shipping too, so I guess these two are a New Years present to myself^^.
I had posted a picture of Blue Butterfly Doll's Blue (moon-headed doll) on fb and someone mentioned that MissNekotaku's little planets would make good companions. Had to go for it. I love the wide color choice. Meeting the neighbors by Nadine, on Flickr
@Phanual I love the little planets, I keep being tempted by a little white moon. What an adorable, magical photo, Blue is amazing too.
@ShuriTigerH , yes, a white moon would be very cute. I figured that Blue was the earth moon so the little moon would have to be from another planet and a different color. Saturn is usually pictured as orange/red so I picked those colors for him. So anyway, I end up with a Blue Moon and a Green-cheese Moon! They are a lot of fun.
I keep window shopping at her etsy and I've added a few different dolls to my cart only to take them out again later but I'm sure it won't be long before another of her dolls join my crew but I really should work on the two I have before adding another. The baby planets sure are tempting even though I don't have a place for them really.
We'll see how funds go this year...I'd love to add a couple of spiders to my collection. They'd be great companions for my DC Elizabeth!.
I ordered a Sküllaranæ and a Silvénekô as Christmas presents for my roommates. None of us have ever had 3D-printed dolls before, but I was a bit surprised at just how brittle they are... on both the cat and the spider, the joints seem to chip and pieces crumble off just by moving them. I'm very concerned for what to do if we ever have to restring the spider, it looks extremely complicated. It's unfortunate, because it's strung so tightly we can't really pose it very well, and that seems to be the entire point behind having so many little joints. I was honestly a bit disappointed in them, personally, and they arrived both shoved into the same little bag, which didn't seem safe to me at all for international shipping. A few days after I placed my order a "Christmas sale" happened which I was very discouraged by, as none of those dolls would arrive by Christmas anyway and I felt as though I had overpaid for my own late arrivals. Bad luck, but overall part of a negative experience. They ended up being Valentine's day presents, as they shipped on the last possible day of the manufacture window and took three weeks to arrive. I realize artist dolls take a lot of time and energy to produce, but it seems to me that if you're already having a holiday rush, slamming yourself with sale orders just doesn't make sense. The dolls are cute, but to me and to their recipients the quality just didn't hold up to what we expected from the photos and the reviews. Our two are basically just figures that can't really be played with. At that price, not bad at all for an artist figure, so I suppose it's alright in the end. I don't say this to discourage anybody from liking the dolls, but I do feel like I'd be remiss if I didn't mention my experience. Your mileage may vary, I guess! I'm glad everybody else has had such a good time with their MN dollies.
I ordered a white, black and iridescent violet Skullaranae yesterday. I have long admired these little spiders and decided it was time to bring some home. I would love to see more photos anyone has of MIssNekotaku's cute creations.
I got an update that they are ready to ship. I am looking forward to finally having my own little resin spiders.
I am gong to have 3 little spiders coming home. A white, transparent black and an iridescent blue/purple/white. I am really looking forward to seeing them irl.
I realised I forgot to post this pic when my little spiders arrived. Their package was opened and inspected by biosecurity which gave me a good laugh. I would love to have heard the convo when they opened them.
