Does anyone have a Soom Mega Gem head they could try on or put next to the 68cm body? Just so I could get an idea of the proportions? I'm thinking of this combination for one of my characters.

Meanwhile here is some spam of my Drow, he's on the 68cm body in black resin. He still needs a faceup. He is a Luts Abadon head, I added elf ears and spray-painted him

DollClans head is so big compared to the body, the skin color is match 80% for me. Oh, I'd like to see DC head with 68cm Mirodoll body. ^^

 

The older 1/4 bodies are more mature. The 'new' 1/4 girl is more a child. The neck sizes are all the same, so all Miro MDS heads fit all the bodies and so do Luts KDF heads.

And that head actually looks better on the Mirodoll body than the Akagidoll body. Are the shoulders wider or something?

I don't take nearly enough photos of my Doll Chateau Erica ♂ Hybrid. His Mirodoll body makes him shorter than most of my mini boys but I still adore the combo and the resin match is spot on.

Last pictures of my gray Hybrid ( impldoll iris/mirodoll 1/3) before the complete makeup (faceup, bodyblush, nails and tattoos)

 

[MENTION=69547]Arconcyl[/MENTION] - Unfortunately none of the default Miro colors match IH's Peach Gold. For a hybrid, you'd want to go with the custom color option - you'd be able to do that while the sale is still open, you just have to contact them and arrange the custom order (it has a color matching fee, but that would still be added to the discounted body price), and then ship the hand out to them. It doesn't matter if it arrives later than the event's end, since you already will have placed the order beforehand.

My thick neck 68cm body also arrived, and I promised some pictures about how some of my heads fit, so here they are:

Iplehouse Arvid:





It's a good fit and the head poses great. I might take a tiny bit off the thickness of the neck, but not sure if it's really needed. The color match is not great, Mirodoll is lighter and pinker, but it's decent so I'm not bothered by it.

Soom Idealian York:



It posed well but I think the head sits too high (Soom heads have so small chins), I'd sand the neck a bit for a better fit. My York is also from an old run when they had some strange dark pink thing going on, so the color doesn't really match.

Granado Andrew:





No way no how. The poor head just sits on top of the neck. The shoulders would look nice, but I think a lot of modding would be needed to be able to fit Andrew on the body. Color match is almost perfect though XD

Granado Charles:





It's practically the same as Andrew. The head just doesn't fit on this huge neck - I think the version with the regular neck would work better.

 

My Mirodoll hybrid favorite, Reed. He is a 5Stardoll Tumnus in gray, the Mirodoll body was a special Iplehouse gray but seemed more purple to me, but it matched Reed's other characteristics namely his purple horns and facial tattoos.

My Namonaki Murph's Mirodoll 68 body has just arrived this weekend. My Murph is a "junk" head, he has a strange color - but with a little blushing he could be matched to the Miro light tan.

Adding a bit of info for the hybriding, maybe this can save someone a lot of research ^^ Sorry to barge in the conversation ^^;

This is Karin, she is a Winterrain U-hwa head in Normal Skin (their site says that their normal skin should be close to volks normal and they are a prefect match with my relatively new (a year old, kept in box) IoS head).
I bought the Mirodoll 60cm big bust girl body in yellow normal from the marketplace for her and here is the resault:

With her faceup the resin match is good (of course not perfect, but nothing too different). Now without a faceup the head would be a lot more pink. She still has that new pink hue but since she is painted, my sealant is toning it down with lighting up her skintone.

For me her porposions are good, I don't feel the need for bigger shoulders. However the head will not fit them out of the box! I recomend getting a resin piece for under the head, otherwise it sits really low and her head will not move. What I did was build a little top to the neck out of hot glue when I was fixing her joints up and it heightens the head just enough plus the posing is way better this way. She is originally a boy head so her neck hole is pretty wide that is the cause of this problem.

Otherwise I really like the body, for the price they come, she can do allmost anything that my Zaoll can and a bit more since she does have some extra joints. I mostly can compare her to the AoD body I have, they have a similar posing style but boy you have to tighten the ellastic! I'm not complaining, but my girl was bending backwards all the time untill I tightend her cords really well.

I will be getting her some new hands from dollzone (but seeing these in person they really not that bad) and I'll probably bend these to try make her some custom hands to hold her camra

 

I haven't had an awful lot of problem dressing my 68cm Miro body. I've mostly got 70cm slim guy regular pants for mine. SD17 can be a bit tight sometimes, but even those work often. The notorious part that we're talking about here can cause a little difficulties on occasion, hehe, but I've got a lot of pants from Ebay, Pink Fantasy store/Wamami, for 70 scale that well.

Yeah, they're not the most mobile ankles or well-engineered ankles, but the ankles are usually the least of my worries for posing problems. No, those look normal for a Miro. If they fit flush you could only twist the foot back and forth, no bending up and down, so those are how they look. You don't NEED metal hooks, the string works just fine really, also not the biggest concern. I do hot glue suede mine for friction and that generally takes care of the problem, but if you aren't worried about moving his ankles, then I'd glue them. Again, low tempt glue so you can just peel it off if you want to restring in the future.

The biggest worry with copper wire is it scratching the inside of the resin. You can get 14 gauge copper wire already coated; but if that's not available use plumber's tape to wrap the ends so they don't scratch. The copper won't just spontaneously oxidize, but taping will assuage your fears. You can run the plumber's tape all the way down the wire length too. Tutorials... yes...


it's a very simple process, but really not sure if it'll help the ankles. However, it'll help the legs and standing.

 

Hang on, I seem to remember doing that comparison before. Both my DiM and Miro bodies have aged some, in the pic the DiM would be about a year older than the Miro ... let me see if I can dig it up for you!

The DiM is a bit paler, but seeing as how you're going to put a DiM head on a Miro body, even the basic blush of the faceup will probably take care of that.

I was asked to take a comparison pic of an SID or EID girl on the Miro girl body ... my nYID Bianca looked okay on it, but Stella? Even with a neck donut ... uh-oh.




Please excuse her weird pose, the head kept slipping on the neck donut and she wouldn't stand up straight :-/

 

Someone asked me for a ref pic of this hybrid- EID head on XM body. I am very surprised at how great she looked! Use a donut/spacer and she has decent head mobilty and looks spot-on! Be aware that XM does not color match and offers only pink normal (quite pink) and beauty white (creamy white). This hybrid is the beauty white:

I finished my Hybrid girls last week
Both have the Mirodoll 60cm Body in normal.
Heads are Mystic Kid Alina and Eileen in normal pink, which is lighter and pinker then the body, but I blushed it a little bit, but if you look closer you still see it.

Not sure if this was already touched on, but I thought I'd share. I found that Mirodoll tan is a nearly perfect match for Resinsoul's light tan.

Got my Mirodoll body (60cm girl, small chest) a few hours ago. And still waiting for a big-chested one. Ordered it for DF-A MSD practice head, since it's too big to be an MSD in my doll family (mine are slim-type). Not sure if anyone already posted something like that, but hope it helps, 'cause this head surely caused me plenty of headache searching for a body. Head is white skin, about 1.5 y.o. Body just arrived, also WS. Here's the result. Color match is perfect. The neck is a bit too big for the head, but some modding should do it. More photos in my Flickr.

Ok, here he is!
The head is Granado Hansel in their current Normal. I have already put jointed hands on him (Dollzone 65) but I will probably change them out for a different pair.

Sits and stands on it's own, and I think when I get around to tightening him, standing will be easy (he is very loose right now and it was a little difficult, but not bad).

Lower torso movement is good, the joint doesn't pop out on it's own constantly so I don't even think it will need sueding.


Joints - I don't remember the old one but I think they're an improvement. Knees work great, arms are finicky, but again, he's so loose it could be that.


I like the chest sculpting, it's not flat and angular. And I kind of see him as an older-yet-still-in-shape guy. Which is good for Constantine XD


How the Granado head fits


Chest joint which doesn't stay put - this would be my biggest complaint. I hope it can be fixed with sueding. If not I will be forced to mod.


Clothes!


With clothes on the super-long neck isn't as noticeable. And since he'll have a trench coat eventually, it'll be even less so. I don't want to mod him just yet, the old body I had him on had too short a neck and it bothered me. This is a huge improvement.

All in all I think this is a fantastic body for the price. I did not have to mod the wrists to get the hands on him since they're no longer that odd oval shape (yay!), and he seems like he'll be easy to deal with, which I prefer.

I plan on trying a bunch of heads on this guy asap, so if anyone has any requests....well, I own a lot of heads. Now is the time to ask XD

My immediate combo's are Little Monica Kliff renewal and various Migidoll heads. I pretty much hate all my 65 cm bodies, I would prefer to unload all of them and replace them with this one, as it already drives me the least insane.

 

Ok got a few shots of my grey skin IH nYID Chris/Miro 66 Hybrid. Sense all those wonderful body shots of John show off posing, I focused on head fit and resin match. However lighting is less then great at my boyfriend's new apartment, and my older camera hates me. I hope these few ok shots from my shoot help though.

This is my boy Kieran Bleak he's an O.C. I made for one of my group's many DCU RPG games.
He's a jerky teen magic user I feel the lankiness of this body works well for him.

His face up's blushing makes the resin colors look a bit more off then they are. I have him with both head and hands from Iplehouse on the miro body, the hands look like they match the body better. However no photo of just the hands and arms came out. (it might be new camera time, as blurry as this last shoot was.)
Also in person/better lighting the match seems much better for the two shades of grey. The neck has some gaping, but not enough to need a fix or at least it doesn't bug me. And in clothing you can hardly tell.

The body needs to be restrung as it's a bit loose, and makes posing tricky. It might also need to be wired in the arms, or maybe some sueding. And I agree the upper chest posing is awkward. Otherwise it's just wonderful and I love it. I might try my Doll Chateau Dolores head on this body later as I need a body for that, though no clue if Miro's nat pink will match DC's nat pink. if the head fits nice I'll take a photo and throw that in here too.

Sorry, I can't do any of the requests - but I did want to share my Iple nYID Noel head on the (old) Miro 60cm body:

If DiM works, so should Iple, but I can't confirm for sure just now - I do have an Iple nYID boy head on the 60cm Miro body and he fits great, but the body is much older than the head and has yellowed quite a bit.

Hey I got my Mirodoll 66cm body on Monday, and I took some pictures with my Switch Ryun:R head on it, if anyone's interested.
(Excuse me for the bad lighting, I don't have much freetime during the day)

The proportions look pretty nice in my personal opinion :3 But the hands are a problem... they look awkward and they don't have much movement.
Colorwise I'm content as well. My Ryun:R is from 2012 so yeah, he has yellowed, however, in person the difference is not that obvious.

I actually don't have the 66cm body (only the arms and legs ), but I did have my Dia on the older 60cm and later the 68cm body! It's all about preference. The Dia head is pretty big, but here's a pic on the 60cm:

 

Here is my two cents, Dia vampire head on Mirodoll new 66cm. The head sits on top of neck but still has wonderful range of motion as far as I'm concerned. I have my Dia on a 60cm Ringdoll which works well enough. DSC Saint is the owner of this WS body.

@elve : Finally, I've uploaded a photo of the Dollmore Glamour Eve hands on my 60cm Mirodoll female body. Sorry it took me so long! /o\

Both bodies are normal skin tone and show you how erratic Mirodoll can be on color tones. It's more apparent in person than my bad camera shows. Also, I chose the Glamour hands because the character they are for is a Fairy Queen and I thought they were perfect for her. I plan on getting some normal Eve hands for the other body, too~ Size wise they are perfect and fit well on the oblong wrists with no modding. I do want to eventually round mine out a bit, but even without doing so they work with no issues and pose much, much better.



@Alewife : Adding this here to show off how the Unoa hands look on the smaller 1/4th~ Here is my Mother's 1/4 Lili with default Unoa hands.

I was gifted with a pair of Doll Family H 1/3 jointed hands for my Miro 66cm body, and I thought I'd share in case anyone's interested~ ^^

The fit is perfect! It has much better wrist movement than the original hands too!
The color match is not that great though, as you can see the hands are much lighter and pinker. Both the body and the hands are in normal pink and were made in 2016.

 

Sorry for the late reply. Had a meet and just haven't been feeling up to snuff since, so pics are late. Eeek! Anyway, crappy low-light makes for crappy photos... but hopefully they help you all out! I did two comparisons, one for the 66cm and one for the 68cm. I'm only going to post one for each but I did upload more to my small comparisons album on flickr for future references. Go here: Comparisons for the rest of the pics which show some different angles.

The SID hands look perfect on the 68cm body. Even with the odd oblong shape of the wrist joints, the hands move smoothly and hold poses perfectly. Far better than the default hands do. And of course, they look gorgeous!

The SID hands look a bit larger on the 66cm... but stylistically so. They can work if you really like the effect! I actually like the large look and it could work for another character or two of mine. They look more long than they do too wide. Kinda makes me think of how long the Dollshe/5th Motif hands look.

All in all this swapping has me suddenly wanting to order a pair for at least my 68cm boy... @_@ Hope this helps some of you out!

 

For those who are interested: Dollmore heeled feet came in some days ago, but have been feeling a bit run-down. Got some snap shots to share, though! My assessment is that they look great! However, they definitely need sueding or even some modding if you would like her to be able to stand with them. The ankle channels are too narrow for the ankle ball-joint, so the ball-joint sits on top of the shin-ankle part. I plan on hot-glue sueding to see how much that fixes, but I'm tempted to just do a hot-water boil on them and allow for the ankle ball-joint to sit just a teeny bit further inside the channel for support.

I will be boiling the Mirodoll heeled feet and altering their shape some more. The way they just sit at the ankle without any movement... they're basically just flat feet with the toes pointed up. I do want to angle them downwards some and maybe build up the ankle-ball-joint so it's not lost inside the shin-ankle channel.

Also, my camera is really starting to bite it... =snuffles= Really need a new one, lol!

Ok my turn to post some spam! While I'd love SID hands instead, I have only the EID hands, and they don't match but I like the expressiveness. I'd love to try Island Doll hands in their darkest color for funsies. So this is a 68cm Miro doll boy body in dk chocolate, with a Deesee Project head in ebony and Iplehouse EID hands in some special color made for the Kamau release way back in 2012 I think. I LOVE this boy! I do wanna switch out his elastic eventually for some tan Dollmore stuff, but he has me over the moon!

SID sized hands would look good. I have a 68cm Miro body with EID hands, but SID or YID would be better.


I can do SID hands on the body when I get home but the resin won't match. Still, you can see the size. The 68cm body is the same in most aspects to the 60cm- the wrists and all are the same, only length was added to the neck, torso and limbs.

@TasiaChiba, soooo good to know! I have a spare 70cm girl body needs a head! Also, I have an Iplehouse brown Asa you can look at... it isn't far off, I think blushing the body would fix any differences.

Wayyyy late to the party, but I have my Vipo 07 on the 60cm body and he's perfect. Uranus will most likely be just fine. (I have one but he's tan and on the old Nuevo body, so with a smaller neck hole than the Evol/Embody version they've been doing.)


Dave's body is the oldest Miro I own while his head is just a couple months old, hence the slight mismatch.

 

A Granado or old Starman Impl (Aaron) would work very well. A DZ 65cm boy head would work (like Cosmo):

To everyone: I also went ahead and did some major overdue headswap photos! And then, when I finished... I realized I totally forgot to add my 68cm body!!!!! T____T Ah well, there's tons of info as is! There's over 10 doll heads, 4 1/3rd sized bodies, and two 1/4th to switch everything up amongst!!! Lighting isn't the best as it got dark on me.

A few notes: The three normal skin Mirodoll bodies, while looking different shades, were all ordered as Normal Skin Pink, lol! I was told the 61cm (far right) body was sent to me as Normal Skin Classic. It matches my 60cm female to the left, as well as my 68cm not pictured... just a wee bit "fresher" as it's still new. I also have a second 60cm female body ordered as Normal Skin Pink that matches the 66cm pinker body. I did once order some hands in Normal Skin Yellow and they were a much different shade. All this goes to show is how slightly different the resin skin tones can end up as.

Also, by doing this headswapping, I finally noticed that the top of the 60cm female body neck is actually slanted at an angle. The slant caused a few heads to tilt downwards, lol!

A good one to share! This is a Feeple Chloe head painted as a boy on a Miro Doll 66cm lean body. Works GREAT! The head was originally white, blushed to match Ring Doll NS (pale pink) and atop an NS Classic body. I can live with the match, but I may ask for one in light pink as their NS Pink is Soom band-aid pink.

 

Dika Doll actually works great! I have pics of those on a Miro body. The only 70cm hands I say stay away from are the Dollzone ones- they are HUGE. DF-H 60cm hands work too. And I will have to rescue those pics from photobucket and put them on flickr. But also, this is a 68cm Miro buff boy with 64cm Granado static hands, no wrist mods:

Many hands seem to work as long as they're not too dainty (the Df-H jointed hands for male 60cm dolls is as small as you wanna go) or too big (DZ 70cm jointed hands). Ah! Here are some more. These are Miro 68cm body with DF-H 60cm jointed hands:
