Finally worked on Prophet's tattoo's again today! Now the ones on his wrist are done (even though they're pretty crappy but after 4 tries I was done) and the upper arm started! There's going to be a bunch of tribal around the butterfly. x_X

sophiesoliday - DO IT. xDD Though when Prophet's completely done he'll probably have enough tattoo's for like 20 differnt dolls. xD;;;;; The crown was better the first... three times I did it. >[ Now it's all crooked and too tall and SUCKY. -_-; Oh well I'm sick of doing it. xD Glad you like it!

 

I've been lurking for a little while, waiting to get my Sleeping Karsh assembled. But I really need some help from you guys. You all have such wonderful Minifees and I admire the variety of styles they can carry off.

I can't find a wig that fits my guy well. The 6-7 fur wig I have is too small on him, and the 7-8 Leeke wigs float! Any suggestions for a good fitting wig?

Waru: I very well might XD If I can think of some other things that he would have a tattoo of!! He has a violin inspired tattoo on his back because he is a violinist, but aside from that, he doesn't have many interested. He's a very lazy character XD

Merangel: Try putting a rubber band around his head, it may make the Leeke wig fit better. If not, the best fitting wig I have is a Monique wig, on my Shushu. She has a medium-sized head compared to my big-headed Ruth and tiny headed Woosoo, and the wig fits perfectly on her. I can pick her up by her hair and she doesn't slip out with the aid of a rubber band XD So try Monique, they have good quality wigs in a bunch of colors and styles I hope to see more of Mr. Cowboy Rouge soon!

 

Thanks, Sophiesoliday I not only had a half dozen rubber bands on his head under the Leeke wigs but a balloon with the blowy end snipped off too. They are miles too big. His head is 7 inches exactly, so I need something less 8 and more 7 I think >.<

Anyone with a good Karsh wig? I guess the Minifee have variable sized heads?

Merangel - FWigs always fit better as 7-8 because they don't stretch at all, while wigs with elastic are best 6-7. At least, for me they are. xD

 

Merangel: Just measured my Shushu, she's exactly 7 inches as well, so Monique should work for you. Their heads are all around 7 inches, but in cms, my Woosoo is about 17, Shushu is 18, and my Ruth is almost 19 XD A fur wig I made for my Woosoo fits him exactly, but no amount of fighting can get that thing on my Ruth's head. Most of the newer heads seem to be on the smaller side.

Sophie, that was really helpful. I'll look at Monique now. I had a mohair wig for one of my Unoa girls once from Monique and liked it very much.

 

I ordered my Karsh a black fur wig from Sunnys wonderful world on ebay. They work by using the dolls measurements, so it should fit well. I don't have him yet though... Maybe DDE will get him in another month... but probably more >_<

I can't wait to get my Karsh! I really like the face up you have on your sleepy one!!

Urg, Merangel, sounds like you've had really bad luck! I understand Leeke wigs run big and you need to get size 6.5 I think, for Leeke but the 7-8 works well for most other brands?? At least for Monique and Kemper I know those work (Jpop, monique good are both made by Monique I believe) Ummmm Poor Rouge! You need to let him know Cowboys rode horses and herded cattle, not the other way around!!! I kinda think he looks good with a head wrap! LOL Oh yes, what sophiesoliday says is a good idea! I've done that with a wig, and with my daughter's doll. Not because the wig didn't fit, but because she plays too rough and it fell off to easily, so I did the rubber band thing, and it stays on quite well!

Oooh, I see much karsh spam coming up again I don't mind one bit!!! Yaay!

Say, I just went to Pupa Paradise and was looking at their stuff and discovered they recently added facemasks. For those of us that have gotten dolls without faceups, we don't get a face mask, so I thought you all might want to check them out. I dove in and bought a dozen because I currently have 6 minis at home and plan on 5 others in the upcoming year (2 for my daughter, 3 for myself) So that makes 10, plus room to expand, LOL. Seriously, though, they're so cheap, I thought I'd give a heads up on them. I suspect they're going to fit loosely, but if I have to, I'll just add larger foam in the head room area, no biggie. Volks sells 2 for $9, so these are way cheaper, also, I don't think the Volks version straps on or anything, which I kind of like about these.

I saw these on Flickr. What a fabulous pair! I love the contrast between the froofy wig and the blunt cut.

 

I totally agree, like day and night those two! So beautiful!

 

Leeke definately runs big. I just bought a few 6.5 wigs for my Soom girls and on a whim I stuck one of them on Aria's tiny elf shiwoo noggin and lo and behold the wig fit wonderfully! The down side is now it looks like Aria wants that size and style in a strawberry blond. Looks like I might need to do a Leeke wig order some time in the future.

For the mnfs, I tend to look more toward the 6.5-7.5 size wigs. And find out if a wig is stretchy or not. Stretchy you can go smaller with, non-stretchy will need a bit bigger. I'm unsure if Mendo has that information on her mnf web site - I know she's been doing eye size, but I'm unsure of wig size.

@MareofNight: I'm going to second a suggestion of Dale Rae. I don't have experience with their heeled shoes but the flats are really nice and soooo cute. The prices are wonerful too

 

Yea, I have taken a look at those and do want them, but I feel weird ordering from someone who lives close to me - I live in Colorado, and it just seems silly to pay shipping, I guess I should just go for it though, they are cute.

 

I live in Canada and shipping was $3 for me I think? So it'd probablly be something like that for you. Still a good way to get nice cheap shoes. But yeah, that would be kind of weird haha.

Emmaboo, I'm totally back obsessed too! Have been for years and years! I love well sculpted shoulderblades and arch to the back, a major reason for falling in love with MNF A-line girl bodies was that they arch their backs so beautifuly

MareOfNight, check out the , I put a pair of boots that are super cute IMO up and there are a few others. If you do get shoes, do update/contribute to the shoe thread please ;D The slim minis have different size feet from MSD size dolls, with slimmer and shorter feet. That's why the shoe thread was created

Oh geez, I wish I could ban myself from the marketplace sometimes!! The floating heads in there are so tempting!! It's so nice and easy just to buy a cheap head off of there, and I don't need any more of them. I already have 5 heads with only two bodies to share between them, and I promised myself I would have no more than three floating heads at a time. Plus I'm trying to find a female a-line for my Shushu before I go buy another head/doll. MY Rheia is also being rather aggressive too; he practically screams to be left on a body every time I put him on one. But there are at least 5 heads in the MP that I'm longing for, two of which are characters that should come up in my MNFs's storyline.

Dear Fairyland, please announce your summer event as soon as possible, so I can get my Shushu a body and briefly not be tempted by floating heads. D:

Oh wow, Waru, Prophet is looking awesome! Love the finish on that arm! I know I've asked before but I've forgotten, does prophet have two heads? One with the more formal made up face, and one (this one) With a more natural faceup?

 

Thanks IngieBee! xD Prophet actually has three heads (It's so obvious he's my favorite. xD; ) His normal face (above), a sleeping head (normal) and his Makeup face for costumes.



I'm thinking about getting him another head too for the more grotesque makeup he does. Out of all the band I want to get he's the only one that does extremely dramatic changes with his visual look. xD The rest of them are pretty normal. I guess he must get bored being vocals, no instruments to pimp around. xD;;;

I agree that Kemper wigs fit. Chiyoko, my Scarred Shiwoo has a royal blue one and it fits perfectly! She still has a rubber band to help hold on the wig, but it works. Her twin brother, Hisato has a Monique wig, and it has an adjustable velcro strap at the back, so I can MAKE it fit!

Okay, I may have a slight problem. I have D'mitri's "prisoner" head in BW, and was going to get his body now I have the funds.
BUT I'm sorely tempted to get him in NS now......as it is only $27 extra to re-get his prisoner head......And since my sprite is in BW and D'mitri is meant to be human.....
What do you guys think ?

I like having a bit of variety in my dolls and I get what you mean with wanting to make the distinction between human and otherworldy characters. If you want to change his skin tone, then I'd go ahead and change it.

On another note, Tiggy and Phe's little cousin arrived today. I can't wait for her to have her face-up done so I can take photos of the three of them together!

 

Waru: I didn't realize Prophet had three heads! And here I was only planning on two for my shapeshifter wolf boy. Maybe he does need a sleeping head. Love the band group picture. I think we need to see more of them playing. Absolutely love their look. They're all grungy and cool.
