Minifee MNF Discussion thread Part 3

I finally did a photoshoot with Mina today! Poor girl's been very patient. She came home way back in March and these are the first photos I've posted. This is my favorite shot from the session. Click the photo for more.

 

@ Daeliriel: *makes grabby hands at Mina* So pretty! *dies* I can't wait to get my own girl. 10 days and the wait is starting to kill me. Gorgeous pictures like that both make me really want my Shushu to hurry up and get here, and make me more patient about it! It's so bizarre! Her eyes are so subtle...

Completely understandable. I started out with three floating heads and gradually got their bodies. Meanwhile I bought a ResinSoul Mei (msd) before I bought my Spinel head a body but that's because I was waiting for the right one to come along and it did!! Soom won't sell bodies alone
I hope you find her personality soon, it's so much fun isn't it?? I have picked personalities & characters for dolls on my wishlist that have changed once they came home, so I understand.

MeowMeow & sspearls: That is another reason I love the ShuShu, so many people DO have the sculpt and I find it fascinating to see how differnt every one of them look from the one before it.

Totally! ShuShu was my first Fairyland love! So she's the one I have to have first. I love the Miyu sculpt too as well as most of the other sculpts but in the end that would be extremely costly!

Like I said to Printenna, It's so easy to want all of them. But it's financially doubtful.


Is Karsh a new sculpt? It seems to be growing quite well in popularity.

Hey BanSidhe are you out there? Have you gotten yours yet? I have to sew the ribbons on those shoes and I can send you a pair. But being real Sansha miniatures I don't know how well she'll be able to stand up in them. I have them on my ResinSoul but she doesn't stand for me in the first place so I couldn't go by that.

Yep, she finally made it. Crazy thing is, as much as I was looking forward to her, she might as well still not be here. Except for opening the box I have had NO time to play at all. Everyone keeps going on vacation, so I have am always at work. Ugh.

Mina looks GORGEOUS there, I just love Shushus. I need to take photos later in the day, so I'll try to get some of Finn while I'm at it. Ruth is the focus of the shoot so I should have a few new Minifee photos this evening!

 

Redderz, does your Kobal have the default face up?
He's gorgeous!! He reminds me of Prince Zuko from The Avatar :heartbea (before the burn to his face of course). Just dreamy!!

 

AmyAngel- That would be a daunting task! For one thing, I wouldn't consider it complete unless you have both boy and girl versions of each sculpt, they look so different. Then again, I'm slightly obsessive like that, it probably doesn't matter to anyone else!

All this talk about Shushu when I've had to push Sasha down the list a bit... you guys will have to keep posting photos to make up for my lack of Shushu love. I promise I'll try to repay the favor when I actually have a whole Minifee in my hands!

I just wanna hear what you guys thing of dollmore for MNF or if theres a better place to shop for her? o.o;

 

my favorite place to shop is brennil but I also like Karin's shop: cheerydollusa.com has great Unoa size clothing. Also seamstresses in the MP. I've only had one MSD dress from Dollmore and it was too big. I like things fitted to show off the MNF tight little bod.

 

I've been stocking up MNF stuff for both boys and girls from either etsy or here on the MP. Diverse Designs just started doing female MNF stuff, and eightl0ngmonths on etsy has great tops and leggings for MNF.

 

meow meow, I am also wanting dollmore stuff for my girls, so I am curious too

 

I know, it would be like a Minifee mob! I am not so good with math, but with 21 standard heads, plus the scar heads, vamp heads, elf heads, sleeping heads, boy and girl versions of each, 3 different possible boy bodies, 8 possible different girl bodies... that would be a TON!

 

soo... for clothes its a no/alright fit, what about wigs,shoes,bottoms from them? o.O;

 

AmyAngel - Don't forget the skin colors - at least NS and WS...and why not the tan skins also...its more or less a Minifée army.

 

Please check post 1 on this thread for discussions on fit. Generally any 7-8 wig will fit them. i wouldn't get shoes or underwear from Dollmore, but some people don't mind a loose fit.

 

I'm wondering most about what shoes fit. My boy desperately needs shoes! Well he needs more clothes too but I get so nervous about ordering things for him because I don't know what's going to fit. So far for him all I have is a style9 outfit, I like the way the shirt fits but I feel like the pants are a bit tight... then again I have nothing to compare it to so they might just be normal.

My boys have a pair of Dollzone boots, they fit very nicely. But don't buy other Dollzone shoes (dress shoes & sneakers) they are too big.

Luts seems to have Minifée boots $39 (I've got two pairs of them) and dress shoes $25 in stock.

Leeke also has 5,4 cm shoes, I think someone said they had shoes from Leeke for their Minifées.

 

If ONLY it was Shushu and Karsh ;>. Since I´m looking this thread I want a Miyu and an other Seorin (in white skin - thanks to mendo´s pretty Alister <o<)

Dollmore tops are usually way to big for MNF... Never bought a dress, skirt are fine... In fact all bottoms are fine.
Why don´t you have a look on the marketplace for seamstresses, some are doing really cute dresses for Slim MSD. I personnally like "Tanya Style" dresses, cheap and beautiful.

I have the same problem finding shoes for my boy.
I tried many shops, I can say that all Unoa sneackers fits, some Luts MNF shoes, some Leeke shoes, Dollzone boots fits too.
My boy have some Nine9 Style clothes too (you can see him lower) but I did not get a pant. Is it really tight ?

Mendo - Talking about that, I´m gonna check what´s my woosoo head circ., I saw that you are missing it in your FAQ.

MeowMeow - Some MNF fit in 6-7" size. For exemple my Shushu, Rheia and Woosoo were wearing 6-7" wigs from Luts

I want my Karsh home !!! Bah I just can´t wait anymore, this is 44 days and Ive to wait end of september for Fairyland to send it to Forbidden, then wait some more till it goes to the make-up artist and come back to me...
I won´t have him before the 15th-20th October >.< !!!

I'm curious, since the bodies are pretty much the same size, do people use the Luts Kid Delf clothes for their boys? How's the fit?

Im getting a Ryeon and their heads are good for 7-8?
dollmore bottoms are good... what about their shoes?

 

dollmore's shoes fit fine

and not to be the bad guy, but... seriously? how many times are you going to ask the answer is the same as it was before, you even know ryeon's head measurements now and i've lost track of how many times you've asked about dollmore's clothes and 7/8 sized wigs. we don't mind answering questions, but not the same questions every day

 

Okay guys, I'm a dork. I got really curious about the Minifee mob and decided to do the math! However, since I can't recall which sculpts were available in tan, I didn't include them. Not that it would have made a huge difference... wait until you see these numbers.

There are 48 head sculpt options (I did include the My Choice #7 head) when you include sleeping heads as separate sculpts. There are 11 body options (3 boy, 8 girl). 48 x 11 = 528. And if you need each skintone separate, double it- 1056! Holy cow! No wonder some of us have such a hard time choosing our options. This doesn't even take into account having to choose the hands in a la carte...

Oh, and thanks mendo for the FAQ, it made figuring out the number of head sculpts SO much easier.

Klae is back from getting her new faceup. I'm so pleased! (Faceup is by *Meee* here on DoA.)

 

Mendo- Yes, that includes every head sculpt- elf, vampire, and scar in addition to normal and sleeping. Ooh, though I just realized that I might have left out the Vampire Elf Woosoo sleeping heads, in which case it would be 1100 even.

 

Cherrykitsune: holy CRAP thats a lot! Soooo if you're not taking into account the hands, does that mean you're not considering the multiple bust and LEG options on the a-lines too? XD SO MANY OPTIONS!


And now i need to look around for Karsh pictures, because he's been on my mind all day from that freakish dream. (did i mention i was keeping wigs in the fridge in it? And that i was actually looking for this karsh head in the fridge? @_@ i have no idea what caused THAT XD)

InvisibleWings: Ooooo, she's gorgeous!! I love the makeup around the eyes combined with the blue shirt and eyes!!

 

I think the 8 girl body options take those into account - 3 bust sizes for A-line, two leg options, so that's six, and then the two B-line girl bodies. But holy crap that's a lot. Over 1100 without counting hand options? Amazing!

Klae looks really beautiful, I love her lip color and her eyes are just gorgeous!

 

Invisible Wings, I'm loving the faceup! I really like one tone lips (without lines) it seems so much more natural to me.
Her eye work, eyebrows and blushing are just gorgeous!!!

InvisibleWings- Her face-up is so striking! I especially love her dark eyes and heavy lashes. Those are the kind of eyes I want for my future Shushu.

Sophiesoliday- If you could think up NAMES for that many dolls, much less give them characters, I would be impressed!

MY LUKA IS COMING HOME!
I just got shipping notice from DDE... completely unexpected since I didn't think he was gonna be in for ... at least another few week!


... None of his clothes has got here yet so he might have to cross-dress for a bit. XD

I waited almost two months for Mina, ordering through DDE. If I hadn't had classes to distract me I may have gone crazy.

@IW I'm loving Klae's new face-up! It looks so sultry and mysterious.

 

sophiesoliday- Cheater! I'd make you remember them all or it wouldn't count.

 

...okay, never going to get all MNFs despite my dreams... maybe I'll just get the different head sculpts? o.O

 

Sparrow- One of each awake head isn't too daunting, that's... 27, I think. Or you could just say you want one of each basic sculpt (the ones they offer in a la carte) and it would be 21. If you're splitting it between two people, 10-11 each isn't too bad. That's only a few more than I want!

 

I figured they must be mostly heads. XD Good luck with the modification of the head and all though!

I haven't been reading terribly much on DoA this week (slammed by projects) but I ended the week by giving all three heads new face-ups around here (two floating heads and Aidara)
And because I'm feeling silly, here is Aidara as she currently is, I may need to work on the eyebrows just a bit more, I had to rush them, as I had a guest waiting to running around the city, and her lips don't look as gooey as the camera suggests, it's a trick of the multiple lights on in here. I'm very happy with how much it's beginning to show her attraction to many bold colors. But....I need to trim those lashes, but they're so silly at the moment!

I plan on having at least 7 MNFs (Ruth, Lishe, Shushu, sleeping Shushu, Carl, Luka, Ryeon, Luka) but that number will probably change. I'm awfully tempted by the Seorins and Eliyas. And I love my Ruth so much I'll probably get another.

 

LOL you'd be like one of those moms with 10 kids, all named after snack foods or all starting with the same letter, just to make it easier to remember them all

 

Haha, yeah, exactly! Like the mom on 18 Kids and counting. All her kids have J names.

Well, if I had them all look different, maybe it would be easier XD Like: "The one with the mohawk is ..." "That one has tattoos all over", etc.

 

Although I never met the mom, I know a pair of identical twins who's mom would put an upward facing arrow or a downward facing arrow shaved into the back of their heads since they were so prone to switching places or pretending to be the other to get out of trouble. (meaning they had a ^ or a v shaved on their head for Aaron and Vin respectively)

I tend to name things in a pattern for my stories at least. My dolls are having something a little bit of a related name to them. Aidara is difficult to explain the connection, while Gelert, my Chrom, has dog feet (Gelert, after the tale of Gelert).
