I barely ever take pictures of Ruanes because I can't get his body to pose for anything. But he was actually working for me at the park on Sunday.

I want to get him a new body but resin matching stresses me out.

 

It's so nice to see this thread actually getting posts, lol. I haven't done much with my Migis recently - I've been feeling too guilty to after I damaged my Miho's incredible Xanthi faceup! I'm hoping against hope I can snag one when she opens commissions later this week.

I also need to figure out what to do about getting my tan Jina a body. I thought about selling him and buying him again later as a full doll, but it's so difficult when I already have the head...I'm considering getting a resin-matched body from Impldoll, but I have yet to make up my mind.

I don't know how the new Migidoll guy's body poses, but the first one is really a plague for it ! That's why I changed for a Ringdoll's one for my boy.

Is your tan Jina a different tan than what Migi offers now? One would hope they'd match their own tan

I hope so too! I only ordered the body in mid-April, so he's still in production. I'm hoping he'll ship in June, and be at my boyfriend's when I'm down there for his friends' wedding. He still needs pretty much everything (eyes, wig, clothes), but I'm so scared to buy him anything until I know what fits >_<;



Can anyone with the Guy Body II confirm the foot length? The Wiki says 8.7cm, but all the shoes I'm finding are 8.5cm ><;

As for my own Jina, I purchased just a head with the intention of getting him a matching body later. I didn't realize the new suntan would be so hard to match orz Either way, Migi isn't currently offering suntan skin, and the body isn't the right shape for this character.

 

They were offering Suntan when I bought the Guy Body II kit? But Yeah, I can understand the matching would be pretty hard ><;

I'm going CRAZY waiting for Harley's body, and there's still at least another 4-5 weeks to go (today is a month since I paid for him xD)

Ack, I just emailed them about adding extra hands & feet to my order... $18 for NS hands, $25 for NS feet ><; (I've been so spoiled by Resinsoul, $10 a pair for MSD)

 

Oh man, makes me want to get a furry coat for one of my dolls too. I should go check out rrabit again. (I always convince myself I don't want their stuff because I should be saving for bodies lol) He kind of looks like a puppy although the hoodies has cat ears, haha.

@Alchemist's Fire Actually that sounds very reasonable for SD hands and feet >_< (Though $10 for RS's one does make it seem less reasonable, haha)

I've not been keeping track of Migidoll lately, but I do tend to return to them once in a while. They have so many gorgeous sculpts :> And the custom faceups always seem to make them better. Can I request more photos of your Migidolls? *w*

I just checked their site again and it seems the only way you can get it right now is by buying a full doll in Suntan skin. I wonder if they'd let you buy something separately if you sent them an e-mail? The body they offer is too muscular for this character, which is why I didn't buy the body to begin with.

I've tried having a Ryu twice around and ended up selling them both times, but aaaaah your boy makes me want one again. He's so freaking cute!

@cian, I am so in love with your collection, especially your Migidolls. Caillen looks amazing!

 

Well they only had 20 of the unassembled kit available, I don't know if they all sold by they took it down after about 5-ish days (April 15th-20th or so, but I could be wrong). But when it was available it was WS, NS and suntan.

They might offer in suntan if you email them - does the BNB16th body work any better for your chara than the Guy Body II?

I think Resinsoul only charges $10-ish for SD hands/feet too, but I'd have to double-check. I guess $18 isn't too bad compared to Fairyland's $22 for the magnetic hands either xD

i don't think you failed at all. it's in his expression as well as his hair styling. he's just pretty grunge! i do think he'd look totally 90s grunge in a plaid shirt :3c

Is anyone else having issues with Migidoll's site? I can't pick the color of the doll I want, and on Cho's head when I click no make-up it makes the price go up. The full doll option works just fine. I also want to add the head as my gift so would I just put it in the comments? While I'm here, does anyone know why out of special dolls on sale why some are the full doll only and some are both the head and full doll?

 

The same thing happened earlier for me for a different doll, and I left a message for her on the Q&A and she fixed it right away. I don't know if you left her a message, but hopefully it will get fixed asap.

After a rather long hiatus from dolls, I bought a tan Cho (and added a few things on to get an extra head for a 60cm girl body I have)!
I'm so excited! Any tips on what jeans and shoes fit best for a modern guy? I see AC has a sale on shoes right now...

Also, anyone know how well/badly migi normal matches resinsoul normal? I won't mind blushing something to match, I'm just curious how much I'm gonna have too?

Long time lurker here that's pretty excited to finally join this thread. I'm a day away from buying a new NS Ryu head and was wondering what companies' resins match best for bodies. I've been researching but haven't come across a clear answer. I'm not very experienced in the hobby yet so any advice is gladly welcome.

 

I have a NS Ryu head, and I put it on a NS Mirodoll body, the resin match is super close.

Speaking of, here's a spam of my Ryu, Miles, I've been working hard on making his outfit

 

Thanks for your input Meta. He looks great and the outfit is awesome. You're quite a talented seamstress. If I may ask what size body is your Miles on? I'm pretty stuck on getting the Mirodoll body now, but I've researched Akagidoll and Popodoll may match and I like the look of those as well. If anyone can confiirm this I'd appeciate it.

Does anyone have a MD head on the April Story / Classy doll 65cm body?? I was looking at it the other day and it was sold out, now it's up for sale. That's pretty much exactly what I want but I have no idea how it's going to look.

 

@VampireAngel13, I think it could look really good depending on the head you're wanting to put on it. Here's a picture of my Migi Joe on the AS Senior (65cm) body:



Resin match (that's a 2015 head and a 2014 (I think) body) is not quite there, but it's easily fixed with blushing. Plus, the AS resin photographs more pink than it is in person.

Anyway! The fit is really nice, it just didn't work for Joe because he's got such a baby face. I kind of wish I'd kept the body for my Miho, but too late for that now

Did anyone order Ethan? I saw someone posted that they ordered the head in the waiting room. I am debating ordering him, but I've never ordered an SD before. I kinda fell in love with him. I know I have till the 30th to make my decision so I was wondering if people could tell me their opinions on migidoll and SDs vs other dolls they have owned. Or if anyone else made an Ethan purchase what their thoughts were. Thanks!

It was for the first day only, the 6th I believe. I was going to partake too but missed it. I had everything in my cart while I was at work and by the time I got home to complete the order my cart was empty because the sale had ended.

 

I was thinking about that one-day sale, too. But they don't give you time to think! Plus, it gets confusing with the different time zones. I was kicking myself for not just impulse-buying, since the prices were really nice! Oh, well...

Hello everyone i don't know where else to put this ;_; but i'm thinking on getting a Miho head in WS, i don't want the Migi body since its way too built for what i'd like, so do you know of any decent matches? preferably bodies like the fdoll 60 cm boy body, want my guy to be thin! i've searched for hours and hours but just found matches for 2009 batches and so on thanks in advance btw!

Once i get this sorted out and the rest of the boys home, i'll post them so far i got a Mir and a C. Cho but they are at the artist right now

 

My Guy Body II kit arrived yesterday!!

Had to wait until today to assemble it, which went relatively well. I was a bit surprised how small the channels in his arms and legs were! The neck is kinda large, so I'm gonna have to get it sanded down a bit.

Only thing is the 2014 head has mellowed/yellowed a bit, so it's not a resin match =(

I'm SO happy to have him home though!!

Resinsoul has a very slender 60cm boy body, and they'll do colour-matching I'm not sure Impldoll is slender enough, but they'll colour-match as well, and so will 5StarDoll.
