I would say of those Blythe clothing is probably the best fit generally. Shoes they use Blythe size as well. As for wigs, I haven't found any to fit really well (most in that size look bulky or they're still too big) so I do my own.

 

I've had some pretty good luck with Azone Pure Neemo clothes and shoes so far, I dont mind sewing clothes for my girl but I tend to buy all of her clothes. Also I just make my own wigs I know they will fit better or can be easily fixed that way.

 

I make my own because I'm really picky about style and fit and what I want nobody makes, so far. But I won't rule out buying clothes and shoes if I find some already made that I love.

If anyone has the Tirin and Katten Cap Sleeve Dress pattern, the iMda 2.2 size is absolutely perfect for these folks. I would make the skirt at least 5cm longer, but otherwise it's just right.

The top is perfect, but the skirt is a little short depending on the look you're going for. The skirt might also be a bit too full as well, but that would depend on your fabric (mine was a little thick).

Hi everyone!! First time posting to this thread!!

I was extremely lucky to find an MDR Dango [Strawberry Skin] on a secondhand market about a month ago, and she finally arrived!!


She is such a dream, so I named her Yume!! The first owner told me she had her face-up done by Nuria herself!! I paid extra for her outfit, but it is so cute. I'm going to expand her wardrobe by shopping for Blythe clothing on Etsy. Her color palette will be soft pinks, whites, and other pastels. I think she's going to have a kind of Mori-girl aesthetic.

Hopefully in the future I will be lucky enough to find a Cookie Dango, but I don't think that particular girl comes up very often. I did see a Mousse [Strawberry Skin I think??] on the DoA Marketplace a few weeks ago, and was debating on getting her (she has already been sold at this point), but I think I really do like Dango's sculpt the best.

I've been following Nuria's instagram and right now it seems like she's focusing on larger dolls, but I really hope she returns to the 22cm girls when she can!! They are such jewels.

 

Congratulations on adopting her!! She is soooo cute ♥️ I was able to adopt a marzipan Dango recently too and I can't believe how small but intricate her little face is !

Hi everyone! I’ve become very interested in Dango and was wondering how often pre-orders are? Does anyone also have info on the resin colours offered I couldn’t find anything on the website! Thanks!

 

Nuria has had some health issues so they’re a little sporadic. I messaged her on Instagram to ask about Bunyol and she responded I’d email her or something even if only to express interest.

As for the colors, across all Pygmies, has been (to the best of my recollection): Coconut, Marzipan, Strawberry, Cookie, Milk Choco, and Choco.

 

There was a special dark choco cast of Bunyol for LDoll in France iirc, and there are the fantasy colors for Bunyol and Dango if you buy second hand, but your best bet on getting a new Pygmy is to follow MerryDollRound on instagram and wait until Nuria announces another release.

 

I am also hoping they will do another Pygmy release. As for now I am saving up to see if I can get a cute little Dango to add to my group. I think she would go great with my Lillycat Chibbi Moon ^_^

I wouldn't mind seeing a Nanaimo preorder either. Her last preorder was Bunyol and Mousse, and Dango before that, but Nanaimo hasn't been available for the past 2 years. I'd love a fantasy color (and I fantasy mermaid tale ).

 

I would absolutely ADORE a pre-order for a Vampire/Grey skin Dango!! Seems like she's gotten a lot of interest for it, so we'll see!! I hope she announces it soon.

 

Yes if she is released in this color she will go on my wishlist since I'm not buying any more dolls this year.

Hi everyone! I have a Nanaimo and I am having trouble finding a wig for her. : s I have some fiber but I am not the best wig maker.

 

@HelloMyStar yeah, I also had trouble finding a wig. I eventually got a kit that I could make a wig myself with from a friend. I believe sometimes Frapzilla has Pygmy size wigs.. and I think somewhere in this topic people suggested Leekeworld?

Wigs-ETC - LSO(3.5inch)

But I cannot confirm if those fit.

 

I just bought a nanaimo with mermaid and himan parts secondhand and it should be at my house in a few days... im so so excitedd!!

This is Lille, my Mousse! I'm totally in love with her ^^. I've been using Blythe and Pullip clother for her (because I used to collect Pullip dolls and I had lots of clothes from them). I also had some Azone garments that fit her perfectly
BUT, for the shoes I've had some issues... I only found some little shoes that I think where from tiny dolls (like pukipuki or something like that) I bought them because I could try them in a doll event... The other shoes I've bought for her where a total miss.

I have to admit I haven't tried buying shoes for my girl. I put on a pair of really old Lady Lovely Locks shoes on my girl, that are slightly to big, but work XD

I was hoping to eventually look into some Azone Pure Neemo stuff.. not sure if their shoes fit?

I'm new to the MDR Pygmys and just started my layaway for a second hand Nanaimo c: where do you all find wigs for them?

ya I looked through the chat and checked out the ones people recommended, but I havent found anything yet. I was thinking of making my own too to be honest. But I've never made one before c: so I'd love to hear of any other sources as well!

 

Is anyone else getting a little monster? I pre-ordered the amethyst mousse and I couldn't be more excited! I've been eyeing a MDR doll since I first discovered the hobby as a teen.

I have a little box (that I can't currently find) of pukifee / lati yellow / blythe shoes that go really well on the pygmys. I also mean to - but haven't had time - to sit with my alarming number of Barbie shoes to see if any of those might fit, esp since they have started making more barbies with flat feet. I mean - I know she won't fit in barbie's high heels, but probably sneakers and I have some flat feet shoes from various petite and curvy Barbies. If I find any that fit, I'll take pics and post them here.

I also ordered a little monster!! I got Dango with the LE makeup!! Have been looking forward to ordering her since MDR pitched the idea last year!! She'll be my third Dango; I also have one in Marzipan skin and one in Cookie skin.

Did you all get the forehead line? I didn't -- I also didn't really want the fangs to be honest but I am kinda TIRED of waiting for dolls to be complete with having to wait for a faceup artist on top of the OTHER wait! I asked for no forehead line on either because I was a little worried that it would start to get rubbed with wigs on/off. I am a wig changer for the most part, not likely to have ONE wig on any given doll all the time. NOW WE WAIT - this part is the absolute PITS. I try hard to forget I ordered anything, otherwise, the wait is just absolutely agonizing. I wonder how many she sold in the preorder!!

I still need to sit with my barbie shoes and get some pics for everyone.

 

@sher I didn't make any requests for MDR to change the face-up, so both the forehead stitches and the fangs are gonna be on my girl! It's true that the forehead line might rub off with time, but I usually don't change the wigs on my dolls that often, so it's not gonna be a problem for me specifically, I don't think.

I've never ordered directly from MDR before (I got my other Dangos second-hand), so if anyone has any insight into how long the wait usually is, I'd love to hear! I'm guessing 3-4 months, which puts delivery time somewhere in... probably early 2022, January or February?? Maybe longer because I'm an international client and the postal system right now is just... well, madness!!

 

I got my mousse and my dango here on doa years ago so- I don’t know. Didn’t she say 90 days? Gosh I hope it’s not 4 months. This is the worst part- the waiting!!! Auugghhhh
