Mature 1/6 Dolls - part 3

I’ve been making yarn wigs myself, they look pretty good and not too voluminous.

In regards to wigs form Monique, it helps to check if the wig is "Monique Gold Collection", as its a line developed for BJD dolls. Most of my mature tinies have Monique wigs. Unfortunately they don't offer all their wigs for size 4 or 4-5, and some are only available in a few colors.

 

Hey all! I ordered an MYou Bettina a little over a week ago and I’m so excited for her. Does anyone have owner pics of her? They seem difficult to find.

 

I have Bettina on order. It shouldn't be too much longer before she is here!

@Dionysus I think your wigs are impressive! It's hard to get the scale right, yours look very realistic.
Here is a very average, messy wig I made for my Lumedoll:

She wears it all the time because it can be styled so easily (it's made of mohair wefts).

 

@Saba - Love the wig! I wouldn't call it messy, just windblown. After all, she is on a horse so we can suppose she's been riding.

 

That wig is lovely, and so is she!! It's got a real wild charm, I'd say. I also resorted to learning to make my own wigs, I'll be honest. It's really fun and rewarding! The nice thing about doing it for this scale, too, is that they use so little material you don't have to worry as much about messing up an experiment.

@Idoru so true! They don’t take as long either at the smaller scale- who says delayed gratification is better lol?

 

I really love them as well and I think a Bella might have to come to live at my house sometime. Ooh which face up artist is that? I am on the search for someone to do a faceup for a future doll.

Yes the 12cm is a completely different doll that Metis doll studio is still working on. The others are 24cm. I am waiting for the 12cm Alice so badly. So perfect for a project I am planning. I really really hope that they are OT as she will be my first doll.

 

I'm looking for clothes for my Ana Salvador doll, Lucy. If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it! Thanks!

 

She's 29.5 cm, right? It means she might wear some Barbie clothes, probably? There are some very cute modern clothes that you can find on etsy, I think.
I also might have a couple of cute dresses of this size, you can dm me if you want.

I have an MYou Gina and I'd like to finally get her a friend...and though I love Bettina I am sorely tempted by the Maskcatdoll event kitty.

Anyone have one of the new body Maskcatdoll (Inez, etc.) and an MYou they could put side by side for comparison?

I'm so glad I found this thread! I currently own a 27cm Gina from Myou. She's so cute and tiny. I just love her.

Ever since I got her I have been obsessed with her. I love her small size and poseability. She's the first mature tiny I own and certainly won't be the last as I am waiting on a Veruodis from Myou.

The only downside is finding wigs and clothes that fit her, but that just gives me a reason to learn how to sew for her.

But thanks to some of the suggestions in this thread I have found an etsy shop that sells things in her size. Yay!

For wigs, I use the Tibetan Mohair wig from natrume in 11cm. Without a silicone head cap, it's loose and it will fall, but with it, it fits like a glove. There are a lot of colors available, I already own 4 of these and another is on the way. What I like the least from these wigs is that they're a little too puffy for my taste, but you can always depuff them with water or half a pony tail and it looks great and the quality and feel is top notch.

 

@Calust oh my gosh thank you! I will probably be ordering one soon. Can't wait to see how she'll look in a wig her size.

 

So I ended up making her a wig myself with suri alpaca fiber. This was my third wig attempt.

I read your blog just now. It´s very interesting that you mentioned how smooth the resin and smell free he is. despite he is not printet but casted! One of my little ones still smells like crazy if I leave him in a box for a long time.,
Myou seems to have great quality from what I have read so far, and he sure looks like a dream to pose for such a small size! I must say that the coffee color skin is growing on me a lot.
it also seems like there is not a lot of shoe options of these tiny feet, so it´s going to be quiet a challenge making my own. The few selections of taeyang shoes on etsy is not the type of style I am looking for. But you very lucky for having a pair that fits

 

@Miko_Chan Thank you! He did not smell of new resin, but of course he smells of something if you hold him directly under your nose. The coffee skin is pretty close to other company's "normal". I don't know yet how yellow it will look after a couple of years. My normal skin Myous yellowed quite a bit.
I was just goin to post an "shoe making for lazy people" in the crafting forum section, but I'll link this here for you. I made shoes for him in about 15 minutes like this.

it´s been awhile since I´ve seen different types of "normal" skin so their coffee choice stands out for me. i hope it will age well for you. I am definitely curious how the normal pink will turn out, since you mention how the standard normal became

I was looking at the DoA Marketplace today, and found a grail I didn't realize I had. I guess I thought the odds were too low to even bother looking for a Heart Strung Ruse. But I just bought one. I'm so excited! Now if I could just fix my problem of not being able to upload photos from my phone...

I am considering getting a MYou doll Vieruodis! I find her so beautiful. I am just concerned about finding clothing to fit her. How easily are you able to obtain clothes for these size dolls?

 

@cherryblossoms She should fit into some Barbie, action figure and even Blythe clothes. Rod can wear Barbie and Blythe clothes, but then he's a boy and has no boobs .
