Mature 1/6 Dolls - part 2

I just got a notice that my Argonautica Little Ifi is ready to ship! I am so freaking excited I can't even!

Granado is about ready to ship the tiny Lucifers! Hope mine gets here before I go on vacation.

 

Since these are my first mature minis I have no one to compare to, except a Mattel Ken, lol. Though I'm getting a 10.8" Vincent Valentine figure, also getting the 31cm K figure from Ringtoy, a mini Ringdoll K. They can play together or at least share weapons.

 

Dollshe just announced the first group order for the 33cm version of their Arsene!

Waaah! I feel so spoiled for 1/6s now... I'm so happy! When this thread was started they were so rare... Now to get more people on board with making outfits for them. ;p

 

And eyes and wigs in unusual colours! Every time a company announces a new 1/6 mature, I click through to their accessories to see if they have brought out new eyes and wigs to match.

 

I finished sewing a basic lounge-wear outfit today so my Granado guy will have something to wear when he gets here. Unlike most of my dolls that had to wear whatever would fit when I first got them.

I don't have money for another doll right now, so I hope Dollshe keeps making dolls this size, since they have so many pretty resin colors. I'm also hoping Granado will make more of their dolls available as tiny versions!

 

I have half a shirt done and need to work on some pants for them. ATM I am relying on Ken clothes to keep them covered until I can make/get some better ones. I am going to try out a wig pattern to see if it will work.

 

Welp, despite the questionable decision, I just flung myself into a preorder for Dollshe's 33cm Arsene! It's kind of what I wanted them to make 2 or 3 years ago, when I was buying my King Corey. I'm... "ready" for the long wait. I really hope I still want it after the likely-year-long-wait!

 

I'm sure you will! Patience very rarely does not reward (that's what I'm telling myself anyway while I wait for my girl!)

 

I scaled down a 5.5" wig pattern and made 3 wigs out of some of the fur I have. I'll be making more since they are so small. Twig's head is 3" and the Granados are ~3.8" and these are loose on him so I'm pretty sure they will fit plus I can make alterations in them if they don't fit precisely. As you can tell I've not done any styling at all.

 

I just got the now fashion maxi Arsene so I'm not sure I want another one in the smaller size. But Arsene is my favorite so far!

 

Yup, I put in an order for the Fashion Mini Arsene too. He has somehow turned in to my favorite Dollshe sculpt! I will not be surprised if it is a year...

 

I caved! Mini Arsene is ordered!

 

Hehe! He is so cute and hard to resist (even more so in the smaller size for me)! I already bought a shirt for him and I have no idea if it will even fit. I am looking for FR Homme measurements, because they seem to be at least a similar height. *crossing fingers* That would make finding clothes easier!

 

That would be great if FR clothes fit because I have a nice tux!

 

Oh no! This thread is making me feel like I need to expand my wishlist... Oh well, it's nice to be introduced to lovely new dolls since I adore these types!

 

I have a Momonita in toffee ordered as part of the summer pre-order. I am very excited about the size, and I prefer all my dolls to be my adult characters so I do love the idea of 1/6 mature looking dolls a lot.

My friend also has some Soom fairies that are a very similar size so I think, they are partly what really warmed me up to the size.

 

I got a package of eyes from Dreaming Tree Studio today, and in it were new eyes for Yumiko! She also has a new dress. Now she just needs some shoes to go with it...

Dollshe just released a 1/6 Saint... It only been what, ten days since they released Arsene? Not that I'm complaining. That's great!

Well they're just all gorgeous. And that make me conflicted. What if they release another mold in ten days? A previsional calendar would be great. And why are they limited, whyyyyyyyy...

 

@Flortune if it’s any consolation, I don’t think Dollshe understand what “limited” means! The 28m line has been discontinued so many times that it numbers in the double digits, yet he brings them back every time.

Obviously each time could be that one final time, but you’re probably safe to be honest!

 

He has had a problem with taking too many orders and the delivery time being too long, so maybe we should view it as a limited order period. I still am prepared for a year wait for Arsene!

 

I've been waiting....(how many years ago was Big guy Bernard released???) that many years for a tiny Bernard! I'll willingly wait another year if ever he actually comes into production, now my dilemma is...do I grab a Saint meanwhile and then just be ready to order a set of Bernard heads? or wait and hope that he's in the line-up already? Saint is good....I like Saint...but he's not Bernard and I have needed a Bernard for so long and I can't exactly all at once do the whole crew...


ooooh, next up for the tiny shrinking machine, is Unidoll still out there? I need a 32cm Jace also...where did Unidoll go? are they around? with all this 3D scanning tech around these days I hope all my big doll companies can shrink their gorgeous boys down for us, I have a want list! I'm getting all kinds of greedy/excited that Dollshe is shrinking his boys...maybe others can too!

 

I feel you @DaisyDayes! I've been waiting for a shrink ray aimed at Bernard for years myself... I love my big guy, but he's awfully, well... big! I did ask BJDivas about Bernard, and they seemed fairly confident he was going to be in the lineup. It's just a waiting game at this point. I'll happily spend the year in Dollshe Waiting Purgatory for a tiny version. I do wish that Dollshe had actual prototypes and could compare them to other dolls BEFORE the order, but, well... I guess I'm taking the risk!

My SDs are getting lonely with me getting spoiled on all these small dolls! I'm still just so delighted. When I started this thread our options were so limited that it was reasonably possible to have an example of most lines! Not any more! I'm so happy.

@Idoru I feel the same. Years ago, I wished for more diversity in the 1/6 scale.
Now here is so much 1/6 released I don't know were to look.
But I'm really happy to see all the molds and skins offered now. I'm glad more people like this size, it's so nice to see the pictures of everybody!

I'm usually terribly picky about my new dolls looking good with my current 1/6 dolls, but I tell you, when Bernard shows up into this house, everyone might have to look good with HIM (so long have I wanted!) I might have a little weep at the glimmer of hope!

@DaisyDayes sadly, Unidoll vanished back in 2010 or 11. Haven't heard much of why.

It looks like Granado is way more likely to get my money for a 1/6 dude, since I know their wait times aren't over 12 months and that posing is amazing!

 

Hi there, everybody! Are there any lists of mature tiny/1/6 makers around? I was thinking of getting one, but I'd like to see what's available first.

 

I think someone started a spread sheet but I can't find it at the moment.

 

I'm loving this little guy can't wait for the other one to ship. Got him faceupped and body blushed. I made 9 wigs while waiting on them so here is another one.

Belladonna Chanterelle is an Illusion Spirit “Spirit” who seems to have misplaced her wings...I’ve seen her eyeing the Silkstone wardrobe...no good can come of it.

I had also ordered Mini Agnes and Freya on the boy body. They may be home later this month or early next month.

They'll probably all need new eyes, since Lily's default eyes are too small and gapping.

This doll size is quickly becoming one of my favourites. She poses better than my bigger dolls.

 

Trimmed the wig, and altered a Ken shirt but he is too wide in the chest, still this looks okay from the front.

I used my Ken pattern to cut out some pj bottoms to see how the pants work unaltered. I cut out the shirt and jacket patterns too so I will be using some excess fabric to make prototypes so I can alter the pattern if I need to for their designated fabric.
