Mature 1/6 Dolls - part 2

I just went to the Argonautica site because I saw their sale notice and it says Little Ifi is sold out Right when I've almost saved up enough. I guess I'll just have to wait for her to restock and try not to spend it on another doll!

I've been working on sanding the seams on one of my Lume dolls, and while I was working on getting the flashing out from between her fingers managed to crack one. Which broke when I was trying to work super glue into the crack. I glued it back on and can hopefully get rid of the extra super glue and make it less obvious. I also now have a restoration project. I tried to remove the yellowed spots on my first doll, a Mini Gem, with sand paper, and since she's tan, got pale spots.

 

@Leo Pheonix Oh goodness, I feel your pain! I was modding the nose of a doll once and accidentally took a chunk out of the spot where her nose and cheek meet. The fingers on these types of dolls aren't much to work with. Good luck in your repairs!

 

Guyyyyzzz!!! Irrealdoll is starting a pre-order for another Setitas (Annic) on March 18th!! I'm definitely getting one! Anyone else?

Sylph's face drew me in and before I knew it, I had picked out a name for her and added her into my cart. I'm also saving up to buy Agnes on the boy body; he also has a name picked out already. Once they have a name, I'm doomed.

 

@maboroshi I'm looking at them, I love the grumpy faceups they do; I hope Annic will have different options like Enoki. Atelier Momoni is also having preorders for 3 mature tiny-size dolls in fantasy colors, and I saw Merrydollround is finishing up the sculpt for a 33 cm doll. I would buy them all if I could but one will have to do.

 

I've also fallen for AE's Sylph, though I like Anges nearly as much. If I get both, I wouldn't have to pick which girl body to get, I'd just get one of each! Don't think I can afford that though... I just asked on Legend Doll's order page for Sylph how the wings are attatched since there are no pictures.

Sylph will be named Lily. I plan to blush her wings to look like the petals of a Push Off Asiatic Lily. If I succeed in getting Agnes, he will be named Lotus with wings blushed to match the petals of a Lotus. If I find a different flower I like more for him, he'll possibly get renamed.

They're supposed to be their respective flowers in fairy form. I've also never done blushing myself, so that should be a fun experience.

 

Coppelia!!! Yes! I love her so much. I asked about a pre-order but MDR responded she has no plans for one currently. Looking at Coppelia has such a calming effect and I'd love one; she's definitely at the top of my list. MDR posted an open-eyed head next to Coppelia, but I think it was in her stories because I can't find the pic again. AM Somni on the younger/boyish body is cute, but I'm happy admiring AM dolls just I'm pictures.

 

Limwha Too You Mari at a fashion doll meet yesterday. She's wearing a Bubbles wig sized for Amelia Thimble, Barbie top and skirt, and a Madame Alexander coat. I love this girl!

In mature dolls I like realism most of all, so I really like to shoot Polyn' in action scenes. If it turns out to create a realistic pose, this makes me happy.

She does look so natural, it's almost a surprise to see her face lifted to the sunlight in the 3rd picture and see that she is a doll, after all.

Yay for more mature tinies! The SisterFox boys look similar in scale to Batchix's Clever Littles.

 

I recently learned of BJTales, and I'm especially in love with Mouse. In some pictures I found on Flickr it looked like Mouse is similar to a mature tiny child (like Dollmore Banji).

 

So would mouse be in scale to be a child to these mature 1/6 dolls? (adopted, or maybe one parent was a mouse fairy? Or maybe fairies choose what they look like and this one wants to be a mouse!)

Oh, man, I am wibbling hardcore over Granado's new 'Vigor body at all sizes' thing:

A 30-32cm Granado Lucifer with the Vigor body? I think that might be worth taking a chance on! He'd definitely out-muscle all of my other mature-tiny boys, that's for sure.

(Trying to find clothes for him, though... that could be an issue!)

 

I would be more tempted by tiny Vigor if I didn't already have my heart set on Asleep Eidolon's Mini Elf Sylf. Though the double joints on Vigor look amazingly flexable, and the order page does seem to say that he comes with a normal "private part" along with the uh, happy ones.

 

I can't get over the hilarious 'someone put their hand over my happy zone!' piece.

Anyway, I went ahead and put in for one, since I'm not waiting on any dolls at the moment and I've got a bit of slack in my budget. I guess we'll see if four more people want the same thing! I hope so!

 

So I ordered my Little Ifi! I got her in tan skin with all the extras (fist hands, heel feet and legs, pumps and platforms), and Lany let me add on an extra bust part because I couldn't decide between size 2 and 3. I'm so excited

And that Granado lad is very nice! I went to the site and his...uh...options...had me laughing so hard I got the hiccups. My roommate wanted to see what had me in hysterics and I quickly closed the page because I was not explaining the 'handy' and 'hardy' pieces

 

I may put in for one once my current doll-related guilt subsides. I just pre-ordered an Irrealdoll Annic a week and a half ago, and also bought two heads off the MP, and a Maskcat Ronia so that guilt is pretty bad right now, but I really want one of these guys.

The handy piece is brilliant! I follow Granado on IG and I never realized the hand they use for decency was an actual part fit for these guys.

 

Three more to go. These head and body are too beautiful to pass. I hope they'll have a lot of success, and that will encourage more companies to release mature tinies!

I'm expecting these boys to be a challenge (should they actually turn up, that is). Eyes, clothes, shoes... heck, since Granado's just scaling their boys down in the 3D printer, they might hit a snag or two with magnets or elastic before they get everything together. Imagine if the holes in the knees or elbows turn out too narrow!

But I relish a challenge.

 

We have to wait till Granado cast them to see the finals measurements... I hope some ken, fashion royalty or 1/6 action figure clothes and shoes will fit!

 

Yeeeeeeeeees the 30-32cm Granado Lucifers have met the minimum number of orders and will be produced! I have flung tan-boy money in their general direction.

 

Why are all the pretty limitied dolls all released at once? I'm now going back and forth between Asleep Ediolon's Elf Sylph and Granado's 30-32cm Lucifer. She has pointy ears, but that Granado body... And his face is so perfect too. And Granado makes tan... Ahhgg! I can't afford both!

There have been 3-4 dolls I've wanted to order within the past couple weeks, and just recently I saw a secondhand fullset Soom Verna Mermaid for sale for $330 and I nearly died from excitement and then grief because I know I shouldn't buy her as well as all the other dolls.


This Granado boy...he is the most magnificent mature tiny man ever imo.

 

30-32 is the first size available!
And I didn't have enough time to decide in what skin I want him. So much hard choices in this hobby...

 

Please tell me those of you with lil' Granado men will post lots of comparison pics. And pics in general.

 

I really like the xaga doll bodies for the smaller dolls but not so much their faces since they can look a bit young at times, would it work doing something like a iple J.I.D head on a xaga body?

 

That would be a 1/4 head, 6-7 inches, and probably far too big for a 1/6th scale mature adult body. My only 1/6 mature dolls have 3-4 inch heads.

 

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that the neck hollow on a JID/MSD-sized head would be deep enough to entirely swallow the neck of a tiny-size body like the Xaga Red Obsidian, unfortunately. If you filled up the neck hole with Apoxie you could craft a smaller neck opening and create a hybrid doll with an oversized head similar to a Blythe or Pullip; it could be made to work, although in that case it might be kind of difficult to make the doll balance or stand properly.

It could be done! I'm just not sure it would be what you wanted, in the end. Even Yo-sized heads are too big for the little Barbie-sized dolls.

 

I have a Xaga Red Obsidian Ken and to me he looks like he's in his late teens or early twenties. Little Monica and Dollmore sell their mature tinies heads separately. Maybe they would look older?

 

I can't promise you a lot of pics, I'm ashamed by the terrible quality of my phone camera, but I'll definitely take comparison pics with some of my 1/6.

Maybe it's just me, but I think Ken is just fine for an adult character. Make-up does miracles to change a mold.

Ooh, I'm not as up on the girl tinies as the boy tinies, but those AE dolls remind me a little of Souldoll Little Metel... although you'd never know it from Souldoll's own pictures of her! (And I don't know that that's of any use anyway, since the Littles haven't been up for sale in years.) I hope someone else can help you here.

 

The Vigor Crowdfunding page no longer has the 30-32cm size on it. Does anyone know why that is? I didn't order one yet and I really want to.

 

I thkn they intend to only do a certain number of each this time around. I am sure if it is as successful as it looks like being they will do this various size offer again, though.

 

I just created an account with Granado and the 30-32cm Vigor now has a separate order page, so I can still order one!

soo many new mature tiny dolls. I too am tempted by the small Granado vigor body. Does anybody have the 8cm doll by Nenedoll? I know she was mentioned previously but would love to see owner pics.

The new size Theil of Bardo research (Oaxana Geets) is nice too, I especially love the ears. Have to say the 18cm line is my favorite as they would fit well in my 1/10 furniture (yes she would be close to 6' tall but would still fit). Would love to see Theil in the smaller size... Ah now all I need to do is win the big time lottery LOL!!

 

Funny enough I bought Omi-kopto during her preordert his past December from Bardo Research. Its nice to see other people are interested in their dolls!

Remembered a company that has not been mentioned in the lists so far. Dream High Studio. They have several fairies that have mature bodies. Was thinking more of their 14-14.5cm line as it's closer to 1/6.

-7cm+ DHS dolls are all on topic
-5.5cm dolls are on-topic as long as the stringing/jointing criteria are met
-A couple of the DHS dolls have pin joints in their wrists and ankles, and those will have to stay off-topic

I think that as this is the Mature 1/6 thread, DHS dolls are off-topic for this thread because they are much smaller than the 27-30cm average height. So they are a different scale than other dolls in this thread.

Do you mean Asleep Eidolon's Sylph? If so, why is she off-topic?

 

Don't worry, DreamHigh Studio have made a mold named Slyph too. She's off topic because of her joints.

 

I was referring to the DHS Sylph sculpt. True that most of DHS are much smaller than the rest here but I was thinking of the "larger" 14-14.5cm line. Thought maybe it would be worth mentioning as some listed here are 20cm or under. Sorry if I posted in the wrong place.

I really hope to get a Xagadoll red obsidian someday, too, though! Sugar is so cute, and Emily too. One doll at a time ^^;;

I got yet another mature doll the other day. The artist Anatoly Zhukov isn't represented on the international platforms and at the moment he works only for the CIS. Anatoly still hone his skills and releases small quantities of dolls.

Technically this doll is for those who can finish the doll in their needs. With the proper approach she is very responsive. She has feminine rounded forms and the beautiful sculpture. I'll follow the creativity of the artist, I'm sure that in future he will improve his dolls.
