Maskcat Doll waiting thread!

I ordered Feline October 22nd and Bellis December 24th. I guess I've still got a long wait then, especially with the Chinese New Year holiday coming up soon

 

A small update for those still waiting: I placed my order for a fullset Bruna on the 24th of September and she arrived in the 21st of January. So that was 18 weeks from clicking the order button to my front door.

I did get the factory faceup that took a bit over a week to complete.

However, I was amazed how quickly she arrived. The package was mailed on Saturday and arrived on Monday! From Hong Kong to Denver! So that shipping charge is absolutely worth every penny.

@rosewader Thank you for the info!! I was banking more on 8-12 weeks like the Etsy listing says. I ordered almost exactly two months after you!! I can wait til late March, these girls are worth the wait totally!

 

Have you received your Feline yet? :'( I ordered in December and thought I would have received her this month....looks like I need to be a bit more patient...

Today makes 4 months since I ordered my bust stand I know Banyo is probably overrun with orders from the anniversary event, but I sent her an email today checking on my order anyway..

I sent her an email last month and never received a reply :'( Hopefully you'll hear an update! I'm a little worried because I ordered my Gladys in tan and after hearing the little setback with tan dolls on here has me a bit anxious...
I saw that she posted a new body on Instagram (which I'm looking forward to!) so I guess she is slammed!

 

She did reply to me quickly! She said my order should ship in a week or so

 

yes, I got Bellis also. She actually rushed that one since she wanted to ship the 2 dolls together, so Bellis only took 3 months They are both gorgeous, btw but I haven't had a chance to take photos yet

 

I think my bust stand shipped today? I didnt get an email, and my order status didnt update, but I got a DHL text notification from Taiwan. I cant think of what else it would be

That is amazing! How does the head stay on?

 

The stand is hollow and has elastic, so the head stays on with a regular S hook

 

I received my Feline today, and she came with a damage. A small metal part in her foot came out, and it's impossible to connect a foot with the rest of her leg, because there is nothing to keep hook on.

 

That is so heartbreaking! You must be so disappointed. I feel your pain, my Minifee arrived with some problems and it was so upsetting.

Is it the metal eyepin that connects the hook to the foot? I'm hoping that there is a way to secure it so that you can enjoy your doll until the replacement part arrives.

I asked the mods for help and they were so helpful and made me feel so much better about the situation.

 

Thank you so much for your kind words! Yes, I suppose it's called "eyepin". I was slightly disappointed at first, but she is so pretty and detailed, I love her anyway. And Banyo was really kind and helpful when I wrote her about this situation. I hope the replacement part will arrive soon.

 

That is great news! I would expect nothing less from Banyo.

I just saw a repair of this exact problem on sighthoundlady's Instagram stories this morning! It looks like she put the loop part back in the hole with super glue and then mounded some more glue over the join for extra security.

 

I'm on month 5 of my wait. Not terribly thrilled as I was told that the wait time would be no more than 3 months. I don't mind waiting in general, but when I choose to purchase a doll over another because of the wait time, it's kind of frustrating. I was told by the agent that my doll would hopefully ship in the next week on April 3, and when I reached out to them again, they said that there are no updates.

Here's to hoping that I'll get some sort of update next month...

 

I did notice their times listed 3-4 months, on average too. I ordered my MaskCat Margo March 30, so I knew it would be a while on her but thought I would post here and update when she arrives. Can't wait to see yours when they arrive, everyone in waiting!

 

I ordered a Ronia direct on Feb 24. I hope she and all the dolls can arrive quickly and safely I'm so excited for her, I've been shopping and making inspiration boards for her and everything.

 

Quick update...
I ordered Gladys from a dealer on November 21, 2018.

She shipped to me on May 7, 2019... and she just cleared US Customs today!
I will probably get her next week. FINALLY!!

 

USPS tried to deliver her the very next day - so super fast after clearing Customs - but my office was closed. So I got her today!

She's a little bit rough in terms of finishing (such as a speck of resin embedded in her face that had to be sanded off/slight flaws on her cheek that looked like two bits of hair -- kind of hard to explain), but I still adore her.

All in all, the wait was a bit under 6 months. Good luck to everyone else waiting. Hope your dollies get to you soon.

 

I figured I'd post for everyone waiting or about to order. I ordered a Bruna head beginning of Dec and she came in may.

 

Ahh 6 months? Little longer than expected but glad you received her ! Please let us see some pictures when you have time? Be very glad to look at her !!!!

 

How was your Bruna? Are you super excited ?

 

I ordered two 26cm dolls in normal skin on July 8, 2019. They told me when I ordered the dolls that they were behind and to expect a longer wait. I will post an update here when the dolls ship.

 

I messaged Nouma yesterday, and she said the Ronia I ordered direct on 2/24 will ship soon. I'm super hype!

I would love to post some pictures when they arrive. I also will hopefully post some pictures of them with some bigger dolls for use as a size comparison in case anyone is curious of what they look like next to some bigger dolls.

 

I posted her on Instagram, but she went off to get a faceup within a week or so of coming to me. I am hoping she comes back home soon!

I talked to Alice from Alicescollections.com, and she said the order is almost ready from end of March orders, if anybody else is in that group with me. That Maskcat is about to send the orders to her.

 

I forgot to let everyone know my Margo arrived! Her name is Hester. So I ordered her March 30, 2019 and arrived late September. Face-up by CloakedSchemer.

 

Does anyone know if wait times are back down to 3-4 months? I am treating myself after our busy season at work, and six months would feel like forever.

 

I love seeing everyone photos, I'm half way through a lay away for Yeal tan skin, I bought her second hand, I'm so excited for her to arrive! When I first joined the hobby I wasn't in a good financial place so sold my dolls very quickly (within 6 months of receiving them) I'm so glad to be rejoining the hobby I've been watching for so long ❤

 

Aaah after reading some of the recent posts I'm super nervous. I just ordered my first BJD on Jan 18-- MaskCat Juni. I saw 3-4 months and went with it. I'm moving in June.
Really really hope she gets here before then!!

Hello everyone. I recieved new sd body yesterday, 2020.01.25. Odered it 2019.10.06, and it was shipped 2020.01.17. So, the waiting time was around 3 and half months. Earlier I've ordered Frances head and the waiting time was about the same.
Maybe this information will be helpful to someone.

She is so beautiful and delicate. Thank you for sharing the pic and the info on your wait time. I just ordered a Maskcat Feline in tan skin with face-up. Given the current global situation I expect that the wait will be more prolonged than usual. My excuse for buying her now was that the anticipation of having a doll that really excites me on order will help the time go by more quickly. The other thing that will help is seeing photos of other people's dolls when they arrive, so please share

 

I just ordered a Maskcat Ronia from Alice's collections! It's the first new doll I've bought since 2016, and the first SD girl I have ordered new(and not second hand), so I am very excited!
It would be super nice if it would arrive for my birthday in September but I expect I might have to wait longer given the current situation...

Yes she is super cute! I had a really hard time choosing which one to get because all the maskcats are lovely. In the end it was a battle between Ronia and Evelyn, and Ronia won by a small margin after long deliberation x)

 

NGL the lack of knowing is killing me. I mean, the world is essentially on fire so I definitely understand. But having no idea of an ETA is bothering me more than I expected

I ordered in January too from Alice's.I emailed and was told another two months on April 15.

It is what it is, I also think shipping will take longer. I have another doll stuck in Hong Kong, so update.

I today ordered my first Maskcatdoll, a lovely Joy from the 26cm line! I'm a huge fan of their face sculpts but, since my favorite size is 1/4 or smaller I have not ordered a doll from them before.
I can't wait she arrives
