      I called the resin store around 3pm yesterday, and they said that the MoldMax 30 they'd sent me would probably not get here until Monday. But when I came downstairs this morning at 9am, there was a big box waiting for me with a full gallon of MoldMax 30 in it (I somehow expected a pint)! So next week someone will come pick up the bad batch and I'll need to order plastiline clay and make new mold boxes, and then we're back in business, yay!!

    10. How cute she is! With the little scrapes on the nose and other places, it makes her look like she's made of metal. The eyelids are perfect! They're the exact right thickness. Not thick at all like even the most professional doll makers sometimes make them. I can't wait to see her when she's all completely done! Oh, and when I make molds, I usually use Rebound 25 made by Smooth on. I've used the Oomoo stuff before, and found that the rebound is both more durable and cost-effective. It does take longer to make a mold though, as it is a brush on mold (you also need to make a mother mold for the outside of it). It cuts down on bubbles too, you get a virtually bubble-less mold with the Rebound 25. Anyhoo, good luck!

    15. Reading through this topic, its amazing to see the effort and love you have put into making Fay and even though you had couple of little bumps along the way she looks beautiful so far. I'm defantly subscribing to this thread :D

      I know I haven't updated this in a long time, but that's because I had a graduation thesis to write. That's done, just about, and in the meantime I've dragged Fay to two meets (and at the second one the poor girls head came off so she had to spend the remainder of the meet in my bag in pieces). I want to finish her now (she's starting to crack at the ankles) but the weather isn't cooperating. I need a week or two of hot, dry weather, but so far we've been having a wet, lame Dutch summer.

      So all I have to offer here right now are a few meetup pics. At least you can see her compared to other dolls (my tan El for example, whom I didn't have when I started on Fay).
