Awesome! I'll read it today. I've been having a few problems with her body. I don't know or if she's just strung tightly or not. I'm not at the point to try to restring her. I have to shift her torso up to get her to sit and I don't know if its function or not. I'm also going to get some KIPS to keep her head in place. It is super wobbly that I'm scared it pop off.

@Wabbie-chan Thanks for comparison photos between the two resin colors. Also I appreciate the review and turnaround time from the Taobao store, as I am saving up for a Mana myself.

 

Wanted to post here because I made some eyes this weekend and decided to put a pair in Sinclair. I was shook with how good they actually turned out. So well in fact I took out her Oscar Doll ones and decided these are her new pair. I wish I had taken an up close picture of them before I put them in but now that they are in her head, I don't want to take them out. They are placed perfectly.

 

@fairylin your girl is so cute! Love the sparkly eyes. I've been thinking about picking up a tan Magic Time doll, myself, but there are so few owner photos of them that I can't decide if I like the resin tone. Magic Time's official photos make the tan look very light and orange. What kind of tone would you say the resin has in real life?

 

Thanks so much @Kimchi! Honestly, it really is light and orange. Her tan is nothing like my other tan dolls. I would get a picture of her outside in the sun but it's been raining the past two days where I live in Maryland. Yesterday was a flash flood exactly where I live and today is turning out that way as well. If I can get one of her outside tomorrow, I'll try my best to post it so you can see it in a natural light.

Where my Myou Koko (Delia Sculpt) is like a Milk Chocolate Brown, Sinclair is like Butterscotch. That's probably the best color to compare her to.

I agree that it's a bit orange, I'm hoping to blush mine to more of an olive tone myself. I definitely don't regret getting him in tan, though!

 

Not a problem at all. This is the picture I took this morning. I'm not a photographer by any means and this is the first time I've ever taken a doll out of their box outside. I hope it shows the color difference. If not I can try again.

Not a problem! I may take them out more when my Sircca comes. That way they can get daylight time and not be stuck in my dark craft room.

 

@fairylin I have been meaning to ask, which sculpt is Sinclair?

 

This is a weird question but does anyone know if the MT NS matches Resinsoul NS?

 

She is the Nippponia Sculpt. I just fell in love with her from the official art. Just too sweet.

I almost got Mana too but while I was looking for other Magic Time dolls, I stumbled on her. I hope more people get them or at least show them off. They are really great dolls!

 

Looks like the service I went through got my Mana head in, so yay.
edit: Oh and her body shipped as well!

 

So has anyone else gotten their MT mini strung way too tightly? It's not a huge issue, but I'm probably going to have to restring mine.

 

Does anyone have any photos of a Magic Time next to another company's doll? I was wondering on getting a Magic Time Mana but I am worried she might look strange next to my Withdoll Angela, who has a like 6" head circumference and 12mm eyes.

 

@Epona, I only have boys from both lines (Levan and Kyle); WithDolls are a little tough since they do tend to have much smaller heads, but my Levan's head is a bit smaller too and they do work fairly well together. I can get some photos if you think they'd help (I haven't had time to blush Nico (Levan) yet, so I don't really have photos of him... I wasn't exactly planning to buy him when I did...)

Magic Time is the smallest and most pear shaped with small chest/ rib cage but big booty and has a very exaggerated curved spine.

 

Oh thankyou! It's really nice to see the body up against other companies! I was also wondering about the head size too, though - if I like the size of the head against some of the more smaller msd heads (like 6-6.5" or so), I might get a Magic Time Mana, but if not, I might just get the body for a hybrid (if that makes sense xD)

If you're thinking of hybriding it's worth noting that the Magic Time neck is on the smaller side so need to watch that when fitting ^^

 

So, does anyone know of a source to buy just the bodies? They used to be available through the ebay dealer but their stock has dwindled and they've stopped responding to messages, bodies aren't listed on the Milky Queen site, and Legend Doll lists the full dolls but not parts.

 

I'd try contacting Legend Doll to see if they could get you one anyway. I did recently get some parts from Milky Queen, but with no communication, they just showed up one day. So it seems like they're still operating, but not well....

Yeah, I found it later on TaoBao too, but I guess the v1 body is gone... too bad, I liked the pelvis waist joint a lot more than the weird slanted high-waist joint that the v2 body has. Maybe they changed it because so many people commented that it looked like Fairyland?

 

Popping in to show off my darling Fion's (Magic Time Miro) new face-up. Wish Magic Time dolls were more popular, they're so cute! I'm considering getting a Lei Fan or Alfred to add to my collection.

 

I came across Magic Time's Taobao, and saw a new girl body that's around 47cm, has anyone seen it before or have it?

 

You can contact "Milky Queen" on Ebay. She is an official seller. I got mine through her.

 

Does anyone know if the polarity of the magnets are the same as the ones with Fairyland? I'm thinking about getting a Mana and I have some parts coming in that were originally going to be for a Minifee that I'd like to use on her instead. Will they just work or will I have to reverse them?

 

I do not know the polarity issues. However I had to change the magnets my little Draculria so her wings would stay on her through the clothing. The wings only stayed on her naked body and if she was very still.

@juni-fee My Magic Time Miro and my Fairyline Klaus each have one matched magnet and one mismatched magnet in their heads, if that helps.

 

The magnets are metric size. I actually got some from a Rare Earth magnet manufacture locally.

When I've ordered just the magnetic parts to use with FairyLand dolls, I've had to pop out and reverse one of the magnets to make them work.

 

hi! does anyone know if Magic Time's normal yellow is a decent match for Fairyland's NS? I've seen a hybrid with their Normal Pink, and it is waaaay too pink. The normal yellow looks closer, but I wanna know if it's somewhat decent. I'm looking for contenders for jointed hands for my girls. Thanks!
