Magic Time Mini discussion part 1

I just checked them out and I really love the Yuri sculpt! All of the fantasy parts that they offer are really awesome.

 

I'm very taken with Yuri too...I might have to get one sometime this year!

 

I've started giving Rachel a good look and I think she is great too! At first that blonde wig really threw me off, but than I realized she is the one in the pictures (even on Yuri's page) showing off the jointed hands. I think her ears are so unique! If she came with the horns like Yuri I think that would be awesome...I think I was drawn to Yuri's face-up, but I doubt I would be ordering a company face up anyway...
Sadly Rachel is a bit more expensive...apparently they send her with the jointed hands, so they mark up her price. I do want those hands too though!

 

Does anyone think these hands would fit Resinsoul minis? I'm a bit confused, as the hands are labeled as 1/6th, but I compared the measurements they show and they look more like MSD size to me...

 

Xkelpiex - How is theIr resin qualitY? Is it pretty strong?

 

love the idea of exchangeable ears but do anyone know if its posible to get diferent ears than default ones? i mean elf ears for girl with default jointed hands etc?

I would love to know the resin match for these dolls, but can't find anything. I'm guessing because there's not many out there.

I'm specifically eyeing up getting a 1/4 male body in Normal-Yellow for a Volks MSD hybrid, but not sure it'll match. I may just risk it and see if I can't find an answer. :P

I looked at this brand and they are so lovely! I really want a Rachel or a Yuri >.< their bodies are so cute, reminds me of MNF

 

I also checked out this brand...their bodies seem a lot similar to the MNF bodies though...it makes me uncomfortable >.<

 

Just a heads up that the stringing is very much hit-or-miss on the minis. Myself and Ranno both ordered Rachel awhile back, and while Ranno's doll arrived perfectly strung, mine did not, and arrived to me with this weird mixture of tight arms and unbearably floppy legs and feet. The faceplate was also very irritating to work with, since I couldn't get her ears to stay in no matter what I tried, even when the doll's headcap was on.

As my very first doll, I wound up being mostly frustrated and disappointed with her, especially since I was able to handle a tiny from Magic Time and absolutely loved it. As for my doll, she's been in her box, under my bed for awhile, and she'll probably be there until I can figure out what to do with her. I can't restring her due to my disabilities, and nobody around me has the time or knowledge required to restring her for me.

But aside from the stringing issues, the overall quality is fantastic. Hopefully you guys won't have the same experience I did, though.

 

That's weird! I bought a NS-P body for a DIM hybrid and the body is near perfect in terms of posing. There is one problem with the left leg being too tight so it gets stuck sometimes but that's it. Though it was a male body. I'm sorry you had a bad experience.

 

Yeah, it happens. I'm just hoping others don't, though.

So, I'm going to be getting a few doll sometime in December. The only problem is, I've never really heard of the company before and I'm just afraid of wasting money. I have seen a couple videos and everything looks really nice but still, it's hard to tell just on a computer screen. The doll that I'm planning to buy is a 1/4 Magic Time girl that comes with two sets on ears and jointed hands. These dolls also come with the magnets in their heads, upper back and lower back. Anyway, I was mostly wondering id anyone knows anything about them and if so, how high is the quality of them? They look stunning and I've had my heart set on this one for quite a while now.

 

I have had two bodies from them, both male. They are very well made and pose beautifully (apart from the left leg getting stuck a few times, think they might have been strung too tight).

I still have the NS-P one for a DIM doll hybrid, since I don't like the DIM bodies.

You can also request not to have magnets installed, at least in the bodies, if you'd prefer. I choose not to have them because the magnets are visible and not something I like to see.

Also for hybrid purposes the NS-Y does not match Volks, in case anyone was wondering. I got some small parts from them to do a resin match test and it looked like the NS-Y would match but when I bought the body it did not (it was much more yellow). The head also looked odd and bobbleheaded so body blushing wasn't an option. The NS-P is a perfect match for DIM though, as well as Dikadoll NS-P (I bought some jointed hands for it) and probably Dollzone NS-P (which I'll find out this week!).

 

Hi, could you tell me if NS-P of Magic Time matches Dollzone's NS-P? I'm currently saving up for a Magic Time and later on hoping to get a dollzone head to put on the body.

 

It depends with Dollzone as their resin changes frequently so I can't say it's a definite unfortunately. Their NS-P I received in November matches Magic Time NS-P perfectly, but if they decide to make their pink really pink again like they did previously it won't match or you'd have to wait for the pink to fade over time. I was really worried the body I purchased was going to be extremely pink compared to the DIM head but it's just a slight touch pinker and hardly noticeable.

I'll try and get some photos of the DZ and MT bodies together when I get back next week. I've had the two boys sat next to each other on my shelf. XD

I just got my Magic Time Miro about a week and a half ago, and I'm definitely in love! He poses beautifully, and I love his cat ears! I might end up investing in some magnetic wings and things for him later. Love that they all have all the magnets already! (Although I do wish I could buy some elf ears somewhere to swap out for his human ears sometimes. They have the 1/6 size available, but not the 1/4.)

 

Recently,I ordered "Fox ear" from milky queen pass ebay with 2 wig.
But when I received the package, It have eyelash instead ( no fox ear).
I tried to send message to seller, but no response.

I think, I'm not impressed.

Well, I ordered him on November 10, 2014 and he arrived around January 1, 2015. There was a slight delay with the shipping due to the holidays.

Linking is okay, as long as you don't hotlink the images. I found him though; he's awfully girly looking in the default, but since I always order dolls blank that won't be a problem. I'll still hope someone else has one, since I'm waffling between three of the boy headsculpts for the character I'm looking to shell. Thanks!

 

Well, I got my Rachel yesterday. I don't have a name for her yet. But I was able to find a few things she can wear while I wait for her clothes to come in (and shooped her a face up). She's so floppy right now, I need to suede her soon.

 

It looks like quite soon I'll be joining the rest of you as MT owners, since I just got a shipping notice for the tan Levan I finally settled on! They're shipping him via epacket, which always concerns me a little bit, but hopefully with the ports cleared out a bit, it won't take forever.

I randomly surfed arround.. landed on Legenddoll and then saw the body. I first tought it was a Minifee Recast, but they are different and their faces are so sweet
I think I will add Rachael or Milian to my wishlist. Sooo pretty girls *-*

I did it.. After Comparing a lot of pictures I still wasn't sure ^^ I took Milian. I can't wait. Waiting time was listed as 1-2 months.. so she could be earlier then my Loongsoul chuchu that I've ordered 5 weeks ago ^^

 

My Milian was shipped yesterday. The seller is really fast. I hope she would be as cute as on the owner pics.

After a year of talking with liwenjie0310 about this doll and other items they had that I wanted, yesterday I finally bit the bullet and adopted "Magic Time 1/6 girl super dollfie size bjd vampire set [Draculria] Black Angel" I also included the jointed hands. And now the wait begins. She is to arrive toward the end of January 2016. I am also looking at another of her dolls to adopt. The 1/6 Skylark --- The Little Snow Fairy. We will see maybe next year for her. Until then I guess that I will be counting the days.

Okay. So, I really hate the way my girl sits. If I don't put her arms behind her she looks like she is falling backwards. Is there any solution to this?

 

Sreally? Do you try to slough her upper body forward? Mine can sit very well. Maybe she got a super hesvy wig. I knew that leeke wigs always pulls my pullips backward because they arr pretty heavy

 

Well... with slouching she can but then she looks so sloppy. More of without slouching. It's not her wig because she leans back bald and naked too. I thought about removing that extra piece of resin that prevents any movement in the waist. But I fear that will make her floppy. I've also considered sanding the hip/thigh piece to allow her legs to go up more thus giving her a better posture.

 

My Draculria arrived yesterday. Including the articulated hands. Now I need to get her outfit made.

I'm looking at buying one of there boy bodies for a minifee head, I really like what I've seen so far! Does anyone know how well the resin match is with Fairyland NS - and which Magic Time colour to choose? I was wondering if Normal Yellow might be closer to the FL normal.

 

I have the normal yellow and it is much lighter then the fairyland ns..

Hello! Does anyone know if the Magic Time Cream White skin matches Fairylands White Skin?
I've only seen one comparison between MT Normal and FL Normal and these definitely didn't match at all.

 

Going to add my doll to this board because I just got her today.



Her name is Sinclair but the clothes aren't her's. I didn't know that her feet would be wider than my Myou Delia but I didn't have any shoes to fit her but the bigger sized Code Noir shoes I got. I wish I had answers to your question @Wabbie-chan but the doll I got was in Tan.
