Oct 10, 2013

1. So happyto see all the girls arriving to their respective homes!! Yay, It is such a relief. The making of this last batch has been particularly painful, but I always believed in happy endings. Please, keep posting them! :^DD

2. Oooh, where did you get that fabulous outfit Heteferes?

3. It's one of the ensembles that Pandora from Bunny Heart makes from the fairies of Glendalough! If you are interested, she is soon starting a collection of outfits for the Fairies. You have all the info here:

8. New preorder ongoing! Who's getting Sinéad? ; )

9. I want Sinead so badly! I've been waiting so long for her preorder. Here's to hoping I can grab her up before the end of the the PreOrder! I am sure she will be very popular, for sure.

10. Do you have any more pictures of Sinead Nanyalin?

11. Is it possible to order only a faceplate?

12. Yes please! I don't have a Flickr account but I would love to see Sinéad with body and a wig on... :)

13. I've got a borrowed PC, since mine is still on repairs (>_>). I will try to take some better pictures of Sinéad. Some people had the chance to meet her in person in Dolls Rendez-Vous in Paris, and I am extremely pleased to have had such a positive feedback about her :^D!

14. So excited ! Just sent an email to preorder a light tan Siobhan ^^ Is there a Magic Mirror Studio waiting room here on DOA ?

15. Sent my mail for a Sinéad, just couldn't resist :)

16. i´ve send a mail for sinéad and siobhan. so excited! can´t wait to have her home:aheartbea

17. Yay! Congratulations everyone!
It looks like I'll have to pass on this preorder (seems my horse will need an earlier annual vet check this year!), but I can't wait to see everyone's girls!

18. I love all Nanyalin's creations so much! Sadly I have missed all the ordering periods because of lack of money :'(
Hopefully soon I will be able to bring one of these beauties home! Loving everyone's pics!

19. Hi guys! Just wanted to refloat the thread with some news. The Maeves have arrived home, but the small girls will need a couple of weeks more since they got caught in the Chinese New Year vacation. In the while, I have a little surprise that will be unveiled soon, but I can say that it is related to Lilac Skin resin and the three Glendaloughs ; )

Ah, it's so great to have a computer again and come back to communication!

By the way, Nelene, I think there is no waiting thread here in DoA. Why don't you open one? ; )

20. Oh nooooo, a lilac Siobhan, I already know it.... T_T That would be even more amazing than white skinnnn~! xD

Welcome back to the internets~ xD

21. I have stalked your facebook page since you mentionned Lilac glendalough fairies... I am really impatient to learn more about it!

22. Good idea :) i will !

Thank you for the news, i am so happy to get my own faery !

23. Glendaloughs are incoming. Urgh, this time the manufacturer really took his time. But I bet they will be gorgeous!

24. I have a question! Wasn't Pandora going to make twelve different outfits for the Glendaloughs? How is that coming along? I'm hoping she does a water themed one~

25. Y es! Pandora is on it and the idea is still on. It simply got postponed until this seemingly neverending preorder reaches home with the Ivy, so more people can have the chance.

26. Hi, the last saturday i gone to the doll party in spain, I take my Little Sinéad i called her Iona and i won in a raffle a saoirse that Nanyalin donated for the event i called her Amethyst.

27. Congratulations! Amethyst is gorgeous! The pearlescent sheen she has on her body is so awesome.

28. SUPER excited to see all the Glendaloughs that will be coming in. Can't wait!

29. I'm dying to get on of these girls and it looks like I just missed out. When will they be available again? They are stunning!

30. Hey Sylvin, you're actually in luck because nanyalin is starting to have an instock system soon! If you check out Magic Mirror's Facebook page you can read the details ^^

31. Oh wow!! Thanks for the information, kamia! I'm dying to have one of these girls!

32. They are pretty amazing. I'm really looking forward to the instock system... No more waiting! But if you need to wait, I heard that there might also be a long layaway option.... So yeah, I'm impressed with a doll company making decisions that favour the customer the most, right?

33. That's pretty unheard of for a company. It's nice to hear!

I got lucky and found a Siobhan here in the marketplace!. She'll be home next week! I've been thinking of outfits and stuff that she's going to need / want. This is going to be fun!

34. Sylvin congratulations on your incoming girl! I can't wait to see her! What colour did you get?

35. Thanks, kamia! I'm very excited!! She's a tan girl and is exactly who I would have ordered.

36. I'm sorry for posting back to back but I wanted to post a quick shot of my new Siobhan. She said her name is Áinfean meaning Storm. I completely love error and need the other two girls!

I'll take some better photos of her this weekend. She is in need of real clothing of her own and a wig that fits! And eyes! Yes, it's beginning already! She's a pretty little borrower though!

37. Sylvin, she is sooo perfect! Congratulations! Such a fitting name for her too <3 She does look amazing already, even if she is demanding clothing :P :P

38. kamia, thank you! I'm going to see if I can take some better ones tonight. She arrived at 7:30pm last night so I just took a couple of quick snapshots. :)

Yes, I can tell that this girl is going to be trouble! Thanks also about the name. I wanted to keep it close to her sculpt's name.

39. She's gorgeous - can't wait to see what you do with her.

40. Tide N Thyme, Thanks! I'm excited to see how she morphs! She desperately needs a wig and eyes. The clothing will have to follow.

41. I hope I can see the Glendalough fairies showing around more often! I already have a couple of them in stock, so stay tuned to my social media! Not that Kamia does not make the most amazing work keeping you informed, guys <3 (Thanks a MILLION!!)

42. Nanyalin, it's so exciting that stock is already being built up ^^ (And I was too excited not to share :P :P)

I do feel like every time I see a Siobhan I need to have her cute body, cute face, and cute little hands in my life. I would love to see some spam of any fairy, but extra kudos for Siobhans xD <3

43. Hello!
I have a favor I wanted to ask if someone on here doesn't mind.
I am not lucky enough to have one of these cuties, but I really want to try my hand at making an outfit in their size because they are such an intetesting scale and I adore faeries!
I saw there are some measurements on here, but I would need a few more to draft a pattern. If anyone wouldn't mind taking some extra measurements of their girl, please let me know as I would really appreciate it!

45. In stock announcement guys! I hope this means I'll more of them around!! I have one I am already paying off---a Saoirse--so I will be foregoing this event, but this is an oppurtunity for me to enable others into owning one of these beauties, haha.

I am so excited to finally have my girl home soon. She should be here January, I estimate. Her name will be Sasha. I did not intentionally make the names so close sounding. It is an OC I have had since I was 12 and this doll just happens to embody her so well. I have however, been considering changing the name to Saoirse (yes, same as the sculpt) as she is supposed to be a kelpie and Sasha doesn;t ring true as much of a Celtic name to me at all, haha. I was but a child when I created her, and had no clue about regional names. But, would it seem unimaginative to keep the same name as the sculpt even though I'm not doing intentionally but only changing it to a name that is Gaelic and sounding much like my OC's original name? Opinions please! (BTW, phonetically, there are three ways to pronounce Saoirse. SEER-sha, SAIR-sha, and SOR-sha. I would say SEER-sha, as I babysat a little girl growing up, who was from Ireland, who pronounced her name this way)

46. It shouldn't matter if it's unimaginative or not, if you feel the sculpt's name works as your character's name that's really all that matters.

I'm eyeing Sinead and I totally can't wait for it to be the 12th. I'm thinking of naming her dun dun dun... Siobhan! Yea, that's really gonna confuse people, haha. I just think that Siobhan is a beautiful sounding name and it fits in my mind. :)

47. Haha, Siobhan is a GREAT name. In fact, this trio of Gaelic 'S' names are some of my very favourites.

I'm so happy to have found a BJD artist as fascinated by Faery lore/legend as I am! I have a character in mind I'm hoping that one day a future sculpt would be able to fill, if not one of her pre-existing sculpts (The Seelie Queen).
I already have big plans for my incoming Saoirse! She will be the older 'sister' (more in spirit/essence) to my Kelpie prince, Murdoch. She once came from the oceans herself, long ago, as she is an ancient fae, but that is her little secret. Embodying a sense of youth, she now lives in the Willow Wood as advisor to the Seelie Queen. I want to buy her a Bunny Heart/Pandora outfit and I have some shell jewelry for her to remind her of her long-ago home and she'll have short, slightly curly black hair. OH, I am dreaming of her already!

48. For the longest time I have been playing with the idea of the getting a big sister for my Maskatdoll tiny. But because my little girl has really odd proportions (she is a little bobble headed) I couldn't find any doll within the 30cm range that is to scale with her.

I found that Magic Mirror was the best fit by far and they have elf ears to match! But as gorgeous as Saoirse and Siobhan was they didn't fit the image I had in mind for my girl's sister. So for quite some time I thought I was safe. (I have enough dollies as is. XD) When Sinead was released I was quite attracted to her but still decided against getting one. My biggest worry was those really curvaceous bodies and how hard it was to clothe them, but I'm thinking of practising sewing so it's probably not a big deal now.

It wasn't until I saw a Sinead made up by Rakeru that I couldn't resist her call any longer. I also bought a Barbie doll house a while back that seems kinda empty with just my one tiny girl, so it needs at least one more occupant. Haha.

49. Sinead IS a gem! Did you buy an in-stock doll @Humbug? Or did you get her at a con? I love seeing Nanyalin and her dolls at cons. It's a real treat to be able to talk with the creator of these lovely dolls and I was able to see them in person for the first time at Dollism Plus NY. I was so fascinated! I haven't seen Sinead in person yet, though, but I hope to someday.

50. She's an in stock doll, because Nanyalin just confirmed my payment yay! But this Sinead is not on her list. When she posted about what dolls she had in stock, I was disappointed to see that only tropical skin was available. I emailed her asking when Fair Skin will be in stock and she responded that she had one last Sinead in that skintone she almost forgot about. And now that Sinead is mine! I can't wait for her to come home. :D

I would love to see Nanyalin's dolls at a con, but it's not possible due to me being in a different country. Ah well.

51. Oh, that is wonderful! I am so glad you are able to bring your girl home in the skin you wanted :3nodding:

I am lucky to live in Canada, right acorss the border from NY so I saw her at Dollism NY and again at Doll North in Toronto. I got to take a peek at her Lilac skin beauties:o

52. It's great you got to see the Lilacs, I'd never get fantasy colours even though I think they are super pretty. But I would love to at least see how they look in person. :)

53. I can't wait for my siobahn! Mine is going to a be a punkish girl with shaved sides and a long Mohawk pony tail!

What size clothing do they fit?

54. I'm so excited for everyone's new girls!
As far as I know, there are a couple people who make clothing for them (Bunny Heart is one, I can't remember the other) but I don't think there are regular sizes that fit those lovely curves. I don't actually own one though, I am currently just a lurker and admirer :P
So someone who has had the opportunity to try different things on them might know better!

55. From what I read, they fit YOSD tops but not bottoms (Unless they are skirts, because of their really wide hips). For the most part I don't find many YOSD styles that work, because they tend to look like they are meant for little girls.

56. Waiting on a tropical Siobhan and very excited ^.^ ~lurking here until she arrives~

57. @SunshineGirl I can't wait til she gets to you! I'm gonna be super jealous :P Honestly, Magic Mirror girls pose the best!

58. @kamia Yay I'm so excited!! ^_^ I love good posers!
