Luts Tiny Delf Discussion Part 7

Just an FYI, in case you don't already know, Ylang Garden's 1/8 size clothes fit Tiny Delfs beautifully, aren't too expensive, and are cute as a button.
You can get them on etsy or from The Doll Peddlar.
My Louis only wears the boy clothes but I've gotten the girl ones for my Secretdoll Mongs and they are addictive.

My first post in many, many years!
This may be a repeat question, I apologize if it is! I'm trying to get back the swing of searching for information, DOA has changed a lot!
I'm thinking of ordering a Delf, I LOVE elves and the face molds are just too cute. What size wigs do these guys wear? thank you in advance!

I love the centaurs! when were they released? Very sweet dolls thank you for sharing!

 

There have been several releases of centaurs. This deer version is from late 2017 (or maybe early 2018).

 

Congratulations on your Tyltyl ^__^ did you choose the elf or human version? What about the skin color? I think she's an adorable sculpt.

Luts has released the centaurs a few times now so if you wait long enough you might encounter them again.

Here is a photo of my newest addition, a Tiny Delf Gretel in Real Skin Normal. This was taken when these little ones arrived so excuse their disheveled appearance. They both need to be cleaned and restrung. I'm pretty sure Gretel will be turning into a boy. The Alice in the picture belongs to @Iri_Nes ^__^ I'm sure he'll post a far more flattering picture of his new girl soon enough.



Does anyone have an idea of the diameter of the elastics I need to string these babies? x__x;

Wren arrived! I ordered an outfit from ylangs garden, I'm assuming it will take awhile to arrive! Any other doll clothes that fit these guys?

OH...more will join, I will hold out until another centaur release...but these are just the cutest elves second to Bambicrony!

Only a month after ordering, my Keilani (LUTS Tiny Delf Heidi Tan) arrived and is now united with her gf!

 

@clochette Patrick is just the cutest. I love that little face. I hope my new string arrives soon so I can put my Gretel back together.

@fp1989 What a cute little blue baby. Congratulations on the arrival. As far as I know most Lati Yellow and Pukifee clothing fits these little buggers too unless it's too formfitting.

@caiterprince Maxine and Keilani look adorable together. Tan is such a beautiful color.

Does anyone happen to know where I can find S-hooks for these little ones? One of her hand S-hooks is so rusted I'd much rather replace it before it discolors the resin or snaps on me...

 

Funny thing happened at target today! found a marilyn monroe action figure on super clearance and I thought the dress may fit my new Wren....and it did! awesome find! we are still waiting for her ylang garden clothes to arrive, so this keeps her out of her box!

Trying to decide which tiny should be joining my crew. With the current skintones (event) i'm looking for an elf (lavender ) and thinking of Gelda or Dorothy to accompany Alice & Bell. I am leaning towards Gelda ftm :-)

@Iri_Nes Ahhh, the fantasy resin is so so beautiful, I want a purple doll so bad but I can't decide the size or sculpt, only that that is an inevitable purchase down the line! I think a purple elf Gelda would be SO CUTE.

@Siara Thank you for the sweet compliment! And right? I LOVE her resin so much, I am so happy! Also thank you for sharing the the cute picture of your Gretel at work, what an absolute cutie!!! Gosh, you're tempting me to bring my girls whenever COVID settles and it's time for me to go back on site!

She is melting my WHOLE SOUL I have no idea what I am going to do when I finally get to her faceup!

 

It took me years to finally decide to get Louis and now that I have him I'm thinking maybe I should get the elf version in one of the event colors. Trying to decide between Mint Gray and Bubble Mint.
I considered lavender but I think the green might be less susceptible to fading, even with the UV protection.
Anyway, I have some time to consider it.

I've been going back and forth about whether to get the elf version of Louis. I just thought they'd have such fun together.
But ultimately I don't care that much for the fantasy colors. So I did go ahead and order him in brown instead, so there will still be a skin difference, my regular Louis being in normal.
I also ordered some extra hands so they can play rock/paper/scissors, but I have a feeling only one of them is ever going to win.

 

I ordered a tiny20 in April with @caiterprince and it arrived MEGA fast so here's my contribution!

I also got her in Tan, she's absolutely radiant! I'm gonna have so much fun doing her faceup. I don't see a lot of info on the tiny20 bodies, so I might do some kinda review at some point... They are SOOO dainty and cute and deserve more love!

 

@Beedalee There is the little darlin!!! Congrats, holding her was so fun! I am so glad to be introduced to that body, it's DARLING.

@Beedalee I'm interested in the 20" bodies, I did buy a tiny delf, and i'm enjoying her, but i'm wondering if i'd like the larger size better. Yo-sd size dolls are my favorite. Looking forward to your review and face-up photos!

Well, I sold a doll body and decided to get one more Louis elf. That makes three--one normal, two elves. Sounds crazy, I know, but I just love that face and I'm getting this third one in light tan as I have special plans for him. I think this is the first time it's going to be hard waiting for a doll.

 

I ♡ all these adorable babies.

My partner in crime bought me a gorgeous preloved Elf (v.2) Alice with the custom mermaid face-up in normal skin as a birthday gift. I'm over the moon with her. She's the cutest thing ever.

I named her Aoife for now and she's getting along quite well with all the other dolls in the house. Glad to see she isn't fussy at all. I'll link a photo of her below getting cosy with one of my boys.

Aw thank you ^__^ Glad you like her. Where I live Aoife is pronounced EE-fa.

 

Lavender is soo pretty; i really had my doubts about this skintone, now i regret not having ordered one extra :p ooh well, got my tyltyl elf in bubblemint on it's way ^_^

 

So cute, i hope to receive our dolls somewhere in august but might be septembre :s is that the custom face-up?

 

@stellarphenomena Your Yeondu looks so beautiful in Lavender skin. I considered getting a larger doll in the color but changed my mind last minute. I do have a Tiny Delf in one of the fantasy colors on their way.

Oh wow! You have quite the lovely collection. I've decided on an Elf Alice (v.1) in Grey skin. I'm a sucker for Alice so it was kind of a no-brainer. Soon there will be three little Alice's at home.

I also own a Gretel which is so very cute but we're still trying to bond. Her eyes are humongous compared to Alice, haha~

@fp1989 Aw, what an adorable Tyltyl. I can't help you with the eyes, 10mm should give you a more adult look but there might be slight gapping depending on the brand.

@stellarphenomena I tend to also prefer the sculpts with more narrow eyes but little Gretel was a happy accident. I tried making my very first wig and she got the honours of testing it. (Sorry for the awfully blurry picture of questionable quality.)



I'm turning her into a boy soon but I'm still on the hunt for some nice eyes and the right color of yarn or perhaps just a new wig. What eye size would you recommend for Gretel?

 

Funny story. My dad (who means well) kept going on about me learning to make my own BJD except I've never sculpted a darn thing in my life and I'm not a very good artist to begin with. But I thought it wouldn't hurt to at least try and design something. While I was just absently browsing dolls today, I rediscovered the tiny delf 16 line and they were exactly what I was designing!

And so, needless to say, I just ordered my first Tiny Delf 16, a Hansel Elf! She's going to be a little water faerie named Dewdrop.

I introduced you lovely peeps to Keilani a little while ago - now it's time to start working on her faceup! I added her blush, a little bit of eyeshadow and the start of her pink lips and I'm so excited and so nervous! I have yet to finish a full faceup by myself at this point, but something clicked and I have a lot of encouragement from my bestie (thank you @Beedalee so I am feeling much more empowered to get this cutie done!

On the other size, I LOVE Gretel humongous eyes, they are the reason that made me chose her out of all the other TD!



Mine wears Mako eyes 14mm, and suit her well! Reinstudio 14mm also work wonders on her!

I'm having the hardest time finding wigs that fit my Gretel and Alice(s). I know they wear a size 5-6 inch but choices seem so limited, especially for special colors and boyish cuts. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places. Suggestions are more than welcome.

I finally figured out what bothered me about my baby Gretel. They have the limited edition fairy forest face-up and I swear her cheeks and general face-up are dirt brown from old age. I'll try to snap a picture later. It's still really pretty but totally doesn't fit what I want for them. I'd feel kind of guilty wiping it though since it was a special release. What's your opinion on wiping limited face-ups?

Also, very tempted to add more of these tiny monkeys to my crew. How adorable can they be. I love the new spam. Keep it coming.

@Siara Gretel is so cute! I love the sculpt so much that I have 4. I think it's because I had a baby doll that looked a lot like Gretel. As far as wiping the face-up, I think it's ok if it doesn't look good anymore. I don't think anyone is looking for specific face-ups on Tiny Delfs are they? I hope not because some of mine are limited and if they get scratched or stained, I'd want to replace it.

@phanuel Your Louis's are adorable! I love their expressions. The goaty one looks like he's roaring.

 

@Misoup , it's Ulli in tan which I was able to get from Alice's Collections 3-1/2 years ago. I'm not sure he's available any more. I loved DollZone's original Pet Dolls, my favorite being Burton the Siamese cat, but they gradually disappeared from the site. The horns are from Luts.

@Siara , Louis has a great face. If you get close enough to look inside his mouth you can see his tongue on the bottom and tiny teeth on the top.

 

I think some people still look for specific face-ups but it happens once in a blue moon. I guess there's no harm in giving them a new pretty face-up. After all every face-up is unique in a way. Four Gretels? That's pretty awesome! I'd love to see them all together someday.

Louis really looks adorable. I'm a sucker for sculpts with teeth and add the sleepiness and I'm sold. Your little ones look like such a great team. The Faun baby fits right in too.

@brightberry They are so cute together~♡ I can understand why you love the sculpt. I borrowed a wig from @Iri_Nes Tiny Delf a few days ago to try on my own Gretel and oh my gosh! She's a he for sure. I need to try and get him a short wig in teal and he'll be my perfect little guy.

I'm really hoping our Luts order will arrive soon I'm afraid we have more than a month to go though due to all the delays. We have two Tiny Delf in there that we're dying to meet.

She hasn't got a name yet, but I love her.
