@stellarphenomena , I like Louis as a faun but, unfortunately, I had to give the goat body back to the goat! Buckley was happy to get it back, though. by Nadine, on Flickr
Wig and eyes recommendations for Tiny DELF? I am getting one of these cuties and would like to know the best eye and wig size for them. Would love to see photos of Mako eyes, as I like their colors and I am guessing if 12mm would be a good choice. Thanks!
My two use 12mm eyes and 5" wigs. The wigs seem to be the same across sculpts (elf ears might intrude) but eyes can vary a slight bit depending on shape or how open the eyes are on the sculpt. Speaking of, teeny gang time.
Login • Instagram My newest Tiny Delf: the Louis sculpt, elf edition! Still in the process of naming him.
@stellarphenomena Not to worry, I have plans for many more pics to show off those ears! He's as precious as you could imagine, for sure. Once I can get props and such together, he's going to be magical to work with.
Finally named my Tiny Delf Gretal. Omg it took me forever to decide. She's a fairy and her name is Erythinia or Eryth for short. My Myou little one next to her used to be a fairy but I've since decided she is a leprechaun.
I've been knitting tiny cardigans lately. Hansel got a plain one but Gretel wanted something more fancy, so she got one with puffed sleeves and embroidery: Gretel and Hansel by spih_2, on Flickr
Oh my goodness! Those are absolutely precious! I so admire your knitting ability, and that you can work so beautifully this tiny…just wow!
I've been curious about the TD21 too. Do they have any issues with standing with the large heads? Seem a little top heavy. Put a brown wig on Eryth and I like this look a lot better. Also took her to a local shop last week for some cute pics.
I have a TD20 and she cannot stand up without a stand, it's my least favourite thing about her, she's cute though. I could just about balance her without a wig on, but the wig she has is also pretty heavy.
I just won a fullset Incubus Kai off Yahoo!Japan. He'll be my first Tiny Delf (and my first Luts doll in a decade, I had to sell almost all of my Luts back in 2011-2012) and a gift to myself as I'm recovering from surgery. I first saw him on Mercari, but his listing was taken down abruptly and that bummed me out more than expected, so when he popped up on Y!J instead I went for him. I'm thinking of eventually getting him a unicorn body/legs if i can get my hands on one so he can be a hooved little devil (I seem to be amassing a whole tribe of those lately), but we'll see. He'll fit great with the Zuzu Delf Devilish Kong I have incoming. Now to find him a wig and eyes. Anyone have any suggestions as to where I might find black wigs with red streaks in Tiny Delf size?
Sorry, yes they are TDF20, and mine stand horribly (they don't lol), stands needed! They have slight bodies and they are strung loosely. I'm sure Luts knows they aren't meant to stand... Love the size, but....
Congrats on the cutie! They're a bit hard to find these days, but Monique Gold made some black wigs with red streaks so if you can find one of those in 4-5" then it would fit. I believe they offered that color in a few styles too. Frankie and Buttercup are two them I know off the top of my head that came in the striped color options. Maybe Jojo too.
@stellarphenomena The TDF20 size always kind of reminded me of Blythes and similar-proportioned dolls, to be honest; I figured they might similarly be a little top-heavy to prop up and position without a stand. I love the idea of a taller, "older" Tiny Delf body, but I wish they could pose unassisted!
@Cap'n thanks for the tip^^. Except I just woke up to a message from my Y!J proxy saying the seller cancelled my bid, so I'm not getting him after all Might try via Buyee since he got relisted, but if they refuse one proxy (without stating so) they might refuse all of them, sigh.
Not sure if this is within the thread scope, but has anybody successfully hybridized a Tiny Delf head with a taller, "older" body from a different company? I'm kind of curious now.
@AspiringAngel I've done the opposite! I have a Tiny20 Delf body with a Little Monica Muse Harmony head on it. The body is still child-like but he fits with my mature tinies as an older child/ small pre-teen. Here's a photo from when I first put his head and body together.
@Leo Pheonix What an awesome hybrid! Judging by the photo, it looks like he stands alone better than a TDF/Tiny20 combo too; is that the case?
I got a WS Elf Dorothy last week, and then I also picked up a brown centaur body that arrived on Monday. It came with an old NS body. But somehow due to all the blushing on the Dorothy head, it works?
She's super cute! and that NS looks very pale but yea, it does work! I dont think I would have noticed if you didnt tell us the resin colours were 'different'
She is so cute and the match is good. I’ve always loved the little Luts centaur bodies, and that outfit is beautiful and looks well designed and well made. You’ve created such a wonderful litttle bit of fantasy for your collection with this one!
Hansel and Gretel by spih_2, on Flickr Gretel: "What are you doing with those donuts?" Hansel:"I'm dropping donut crumbs on the path so that we can find our way back home." Gretel: "It won't work. Domos are eating all the crumbs."
I’m joining this thread since my tiny delf finally arrived and I noticed a few things new to me. I didn’t know she would come without her lower legs and feet attached. I had to flip the S hooks for the feet because the feet don’t fit on the small side. The stringing is really tight all over except the arms, they hold a pose but are almost floppy. The eyes were held in with a putty that got hard so it was a chore to get out. I got everything put together and situated, I was just curious if this was normal for Luts and tdf.
I received mine last year and all three of them came assembled. I got them from DDE who got them from Luts. Was your TDF one that perhaps could go on a centaur body?
It was a preorder from DDE, so came from the factory. If it went on a centaur body I would think it would have no legs attached at all but she had the upper legs and knee joints attached. The S hooks were poking out of the bottom of the knee joints.
I would contact them and let them know. That's not normal unless something changed recently. Did you take pictures when you opened the box? (Let them know whether you took pictures or not.) The best way to contact them is through their email. I contacted them this month when the doll I ordered came with different hand than were in the listing. They answered within a day. I decided I actually liked the hands that the doll came with better, but I wanted to let them know so they could check the other dolls.
I did not take pictures, I’m horrible at doing that and I just got right to putting her together. I could let them know since some collectors don’t know how to put things together or have to tools to do it.
I messaged them and they got back to me the next business day like they usually do, they apologized for any inconvenience and asked for more details. I responded letting them know nothing was broken and I had a little trouble attaching the lower legs and feet due to the tight stringing and the s hooks being the wrong way but got her put together. It wasn’t really a complaint, just to give them a heads up that dolls were arriving that way. They responded once more and sent me a $10 credit “for my trouble.” It wasn’t a problem for me but might have been for someone else.
So, the little Incubus Kai didn't get relisted for quite a while, but a few weeks ago he suddenly popped back up on Mercari so I jumped on him. He arrived just now^^. He definitely needs a restring and the pleather on his fullset outfit started disintegrating while I dressed him (no surprise there really=_=). I couldn't get his wings to stay up, his overcoat thing seemed way too large and with his boots on his pants interfered with his knee joints so he kept buckling. So he's just not wearing half of his outfit, but I do like the little guy a lot^^. Luts incubus Kai by jefvonk, on Flickr
Congrats @ShuriTigerH, love the look! I found a good look for my Alice who I call Finn. I’ve since changed his eyes to green and found him some green shoes but have not taken a new picture yet. These little ones have big personalities.
Thank you! I was so excited to get this sculpt and when nothing I tried on them looked right I got really disappointed. Then I decided to try the dragon/dino suit and it all came together.
