Luts Super Senior Delf Discussion - Pt. 2

So, after all the lovely info you guys provided me with (thanks again btw) I went on and purchased the body I was eyeballing and it arrived over the weekend....

Omg. His feet. HIS FEET!!

Are enormous. He has no shoes lol. I have Dollmore Model and Glamor models and an EID so I'm use to giant feet, but his problem is the shoes need to be white. Like, I can't have anything other than white. So where do you guys find shoes??

I haven't tried the Glamor Model shoes on him yet (I just assume they'll fit ok, GM feet are EID sized) but I don't actually have any DM Model shoes, just the doll. They have a pair that would work for me but I don't know if they will actually fit him? Anyone know if actual Dollmore Model shoes will fit?

 

I'll see what will fit on my boy when I get home (if I remember). I have a pair of white boots but I don't know who they fit, so I'll check for you! The SSDF feet are hard to buy for because they are narrow but long. I think Angel-Stuido might work but you have to be careful of sizes because they have a few different ones in each category.

 

Thank you!! Narrow but long describes Dollmore feet as well, so I'm hopeful. I really should have tried some of my bigger shoes on him. Or compared his feet to John's at least. I'm assuming Dollmore Model shoes should fit their feet XD

I had some great white shoes in what I think of as Dollshe sizes as they fit all my classic and Pure feet.....they're way too small for him now D:

 

SSDF feet, ugggh. I have a pair of Luts SSDF sized boots that don't even fit my SSDF boys! TTYA SD17 boater shoes fit (snug) if you can find them.

Edit: Don't buy these Luts shoes for SSDF feet! Welcome to LUTS - Ball Jointed Dolls (BJD) company They do fit SD65 feet, however.

 

Not much help on my end, since I was gifted shoes with him when he arrived, and they're the classic colorful converse anyway :'P

Hilariously, though, SSDF's feet are actually more proportionate than others i've seen!! the toes themselves are a little short, but the foot overall is close to the correct length - feet are generally the same length as one's forearm, elbow-pit to the heel of the palm. fun fact ;D

 

I have angil studio, sid iplehouse boots for my SSD

 

So the pair of boots my guy is wearing right now are Luts so that doesn't count. I tried on a pair of white sneakers/high tops that my Granado guy is wearing and they fit him perfectly. They are from Tata's Paradise but I just checked on the website but this pair is not on there. I know they make SSDF sized stuff though so I'd look into that. They don't have much in the way of shoes right now though unless you want high heels. Their clothes are good too. I think the Soom Idelian shoes would fit him but may be on the bigger side? Sorry, not much help

Also why I think all doll feet (but Dollmore and now apparently Luts) have tiny feet! XD

Oh!! SID is what my DM model wears! So Dollmore model should fit! Great news! Thank you! I haven’t tried tried my one pair on him because I’m paranoid that they’ll get ruined and only one doll is allowed to wear them. I am that person.

Meanwhile my Luts Abadon head (hyprid impldoll idol female body) from @snowgray has stolen a far more suitable wig from one of my other dolls. A serious face needs a serious wig! In spite of the wonky fringe (I cut it years ago - not that I'd do it any better now) I do love this wig on her - Sarah has a whole new mysterious personality going on now, which I need to figure out

Hi guys, it's been ages since my last post on my boy Sirius (SSDF Ignis) but he's been hibernating in my grandma's closet until I can retrieve him haha.

On the topic of large feet is it just me or LUTS pants doesn't fit their SSDF either? I ordered my boy as a set and even in his own tailored pants, the buttons just popped out whenever I sit him down because the pants are just so dang tight.

Because of that my grandma made a bunch of clothes so he won't go naked or uncomfy so thank you grandma! Here's one of them (she called it his Alibaba outfit )

Your boy is handsome! I love the face tat. Blueblooddolls has some jeans that are made specifically to fit SSDF! I have one pair and they're great. Otherwise I don't know the brands of my other pants I have that fit. Blueblood also has shoes in their size, or Alices Collections has a few pairs of shoes made for 70cm dolls that fit SSDF because they're in the 9.8/10cm range.

 

I really love the luts super senior delf sculpts! The body is amazing too! So beautifully sculpted

 

Holy cow, have you guys seen the new Super Senior Delf boys? SHINE especially, although HALO is gorgeous too! I'd never been into Luts' sculpts but I happened to go to their site to look for some accessories today and my jaw was just like, *hits floor*.

Omg, I hadn't even noticed them! And that new body! I'm so freaking tempted. I have some complains with the first SSDF body but I love my SD65, and the new updated SSDF looks more like the SD65.

 

The B makeup on Halo reminds me of Tom Hiddleston...

Has anyone ever ordered during an owner favorable price sale? Can you just submit a pic of your doll and coa as proof or do you have to have proof that the doll was ordered directly from Luts? I don't think I have anything from when I got my Flood since it's been a few years. >.<

Does anyone know the wrist opening diameter size of the forearm of the senior delf 65 body? I'm interested in ordering the senior delf 65 body and doll legend jointed hands, but they have two sizes in the SD range. One with a wrist diameter of 1.7 and another with a diameter of 1.9cm, so i'm not sure which would be the correct one to order

 

Time to revive this thread. Anyone have owner pics of the newer SSDF bodies? The older ones are pretty awful yet I have two of them. Debating if it would be worth it to upgrade.

I'm going to be putting in a huge order to Luts soon. One of the dolls I'm getting is going to be an ssd Cane. I was originally sold on Flood first but after seeing so many handsome owner photos of Cane I changed my mind.

 

I have a Flood right now and I just sold a Cane head last week. Cane has an odd chin in my opinion but they're both gorgeous heads!

 

@Cap'n It was hard to choose between them because they're both very handsome, but in the end I realized I don't really like Floods lips and I actually really loved Canes eyes over Floods so I chose Cane.

 

Have you guys seen the new Super Senior Delf Muscle and Slim bodies? They look a bit like the GSDf one but more proportionate, I think. I never liked the older SSDF bodies but the new Muscle type blew me away!

 

The bodies look nice, but the head their using looks to pin headed on those bodies to me. If all of there heads end up looking that way then....hmmm.

 

I'm curious to see them next to the other body. Those look like the grand senior delf just shrunk down. I have two of the original SSDF bodies and have been considering upgrading at least one of them to the new type SSDF but I honestly don't care much for the new slim and muscle versions because I feel like most SSDF heads would look massive on them. The GSDF line heads are the same size as a SSDF head only with a bigger neck. So wouldn't a properly proportioned head on these new SSDF versions be like a 7" head? I looked on Twitter and found this pic from August. Is this a new head? If so, it looks like a smaller SSDF head size. Especially compared to this pic that has the first new SSDF (and GSDF next to it). I'm only comparing the necks since I assuming the necks are the same size since the shoulders are obviously different. So smaller SSDF heads?

 

In figure drawing and sculpting typically male head to body to shoulder proportions are determined by the length of the head, not the width. You'd use head width to determine the width of the shoulders in a female figure. If one is going for more realistic proportions. For male proportions the shoulders would generally be two head lengths long. I also think the heads on the GSDF body are to small compared to those really wide shoulders.

 

I'm very much digging Tide. Think I might stretch my budget and pick him up in January.

 

Eddy has me smitten. Might try to get his head before he's gone.

 

@Majorshay Eddy is such a handsome sculpt too. Had a hard time choosing myself.

 

I love Eddy too, he is so beautiful. But I shouldn’t buy another doll while my diez and raven if last year event still need bodies

 

I checked out the new SSDF body versions pics and this can't be right, can it? This and this shows 10.4cm head size? Thats like a 4" wig size!!! The prior "new" body version that was an update on the old type shows 9-10" wig for girth of head for reference and all my older SSDF heads are about 9" so that tracks. It also looks like the neck on the Superior bodies are 1.3cm bigger. I really wish this pic showed what heads those are on the bodies but it looks like Luts is scrapping the thing they've had for a long while where Senior Delf up to Super Senior Delf heads could be swapped. :/

 

@Cap'n The 10.4cm measurement is probably a typo. One of the heads being shown on the body is a Romance Raven and his head is 20.5cm

 

Oh good! Then the biggest difference is the neck size. I'm wondering if they'll have to make their old heads with larger necks or perhaps they won't offer certain heads with certain bodies in the same scale? A 1.3cm difference seems huge in terms of neck sizes.

 

I think they'll mark certain heads as sculpt name+i if they have to change the neck circumferences depending on the bodies. I believe I saw something about it on their site.

 

Anyone else also interested in Abadon Romance head? XD or interested in getting the new SSDF body?

 

@skyadmirer : I am tempted by their limited re-releases in the new skin colors on the SSDF body. I kinda love the idea of a LUTS Ethan in one of their new tan colors or a Dreaming Dion in tan. But sadly I don't think I'll be able to afford one prior to the winter event ending. ToT Too much Christmas spending! Are you going to get the Abadon Romance head since they are offering separately?

 

It'll be nice that they'll change the neck sizes as needed. Buying/selling secondhand may become a bit harder due to needing to remember which neck size your head is but even with the kid delf line there's some variation in neck sizing. Found that out the hard way. .-.

 

Oh no that's sad.. Have you considered doing layaway? I believe Luts offer layaway through direct order.

I already have 2 GSDF Abadon head as it is lol. My friend said I have too many Abadon lolol but, I am still tempted xD

I'm actually kinda looking for split partner. But if I still don't get anyone, I might just have to get the head itself. Also, the head for SDF65/SSDF (I recall that Luts usually list them as interchangeable) fits LS73 body that I already have xD and their color is pretty close. So I'm very very very tempted

Oh yeah, it might help with shipping fee, if you buy through local dealer. I'm considering to buy the head through DDE (their shipping is much much cheaper than Luts shipping )

 

@skyadmirer : lol yes I considered layaway but I just paid off one layaway yesterday, and still have two more I need to finish so I gotta take it easy right now. Way too many dollies at once I already have both an Ethan and Dreaming Dion so I think I'll make peace that I don't need tan versions too... hehe

I hope you are able to find a split partner to bring the dreaming version too. Abadon looks great in any size and style they make him!!!

@Cap'n : You know I never considered this as well! My Grand Senior Delf Dion's neck hole is HUGE although his sculpt itself is identical to my SDF and SDF65 version... so if I every tried to change him to smaller body, I don't know if he will fit properly or have a lot of gaps. Oh well~ He was meant to be beefy I guess lol

 

I keep flip-flopping between Tide and Eddy. I'm driving myself (and my friend) nuts trying to make a choice here. Luts, why you gotta do this? Haha

I ordered Eddy a few days ago, but he's on SDF65 slim body as it's my most favorite size. I'm excited and a bit nervous to see how the head looks with that body haha! I have a neck donut ready...
At first I couldn't choose between him and Tide. I like them both

hello folx, happy new year! i'm popping in on the off-chance that any luts owners have both a luts doll in either tan or light tan (not real skin brown) and also a crobi doll in tan resin? i'm trying to see if either crobi tan/luts tan or crobi tan/luts light tan may be an acceptable resin match! i have a thread in photo reference here: /threads/luts-light-tan-tan-vs-crobidoll-tan.851048/ if you have any photos or insight, i would highly appreciate~

 

Popping in because I also ordered an Eddy! I ordered him on the new SSDF slim body. He's going to be my biggest doll yet so I'm nervous cause I cannot visualize just how large he's going to be but also excited!

 

@Serein Congrats! Eddy is so handsome! The bigger dolls can be intimidating but they're so fun to dress and hold.

 

I finally bought the Eddy head!. I hope he matches the upcoming Popodoll body I just bought.
