@taykung thank you so many Luts faces are pleasing to look at indeed. If I'm not careful I might get the original Carmine sculpt too lol! I see you're waiting for an Eddy- those eyes! do you have a character or anything in mind for him?

 

@SailorEris Yes, I've prepared wig, eyes and clothes for my Eddy. He's going to have black hair and light eyes. Can't wait to try all the eyes I have on him haha!

 

I'm a bit nervous, I ordered the bliss blossom muse head with the plan of putting it on the senior delf girl body 7 later, but it's only now occurred to me when I'm about to order the body that it could possibly not fit girl body 7 @.@ the muse body doesn't look bad, I'm just not keen on wider shoulders so I figured the girl body 7 was androgynous enough, does anyone know if it is or isn't? this was my first time ordering a doll so I'm scared and excited and trying my best to not mess up too badly ^^;

 

check the neck circumference of both bodies, if theyre the same/close in size, the head will fit just fine

 

@LillyBelle Before I ordered my Muse Carmine I asked Luts on their Q&A if I could put the head on a Senior Delf Type 5 or 6 (Lovely/Sweety) girl body and they said it wouldn't fit. According to the Wiki on DOA, the type 5/6/7 have very similar neck circumferences. However, I have seen someone put a Muse head on a Delf girl body (it was somewhere here on DOA) and they used a delf neck part I think? You can always ask Luts on their Q&A, but I'm guessing they will say it won't fit..

 

Thinking it over, I tried to look at the muse body and convince myself it could work, but the issue is I just am not a fan of bigger necks, so maybe if I mod the muse head hole size to fit the smaller neck it might turn out fine. I just don't think I could work with a muse body myself @.@ they look nice but my pickiness might get in the way with it

 

Have you guys seen the new sculpts Luts is introducing for their summer event? I'm personally really disappointed that they're continuing the 'tiny head on a massive neck and body' thing with the girl sculpts, I really prefer the older proportions The sculpts themselves are generally very nice.

 

Luckily I am safe from the new sculpts so far. I am still hoping they will eventually release a tall female body with proportions I like. But I guess with the whole super broad shoulders + tiny head thing it's not going to happen. I fear their taller ladies aren't popular so far so they might not do another body at all.

 

And, I'm the opposite. I rather like the more realistic head to shoulder proportions. I just don't like how square and stiff the shoulders look. I really like Sepia, she could work as a character I've been thinking about lately.

 

Hello fellow Luts enthusiasts ^-^ I was wondering if some of you more experienced folks have an estimate on when the summer event heads will be available and for how long these events usually last. Also, are the heads extremely limited or will everybody qualifying for one get one?

This is my first time falling head over heels for one of the event heads, so I'm checking their website and SNS religiously everyday x'D

 

Don't worry. The heads are only time limited not quantity limited. If you order during the event (usually from end of May to middle of July) you will receive the event head as long as your order qualifies.

I'm generally getting more and more interested in Luts dolls! I've always checked them out occasionally but never really fell in love~ But I adore the slender and muse bodies (as well as the new superior SSDF slim body, but that's for another thread ^v^). And lately they have quite a lot of head sculpts that appeal to me! Just love (re-)discovering a company ♡♡

 

I received my Carmine yesterday. As promised, here are some pics for comparison. I ordered the Muse Carmine head on a Delf Type 4 boy body. ^^ He's exactly the size I was going for and the body poses so well! I'm so glad I asked Luts to do this head and body combo for me.

Oh I was curious to know how these kind of joints pose. Are they easy to engage? What about the knees?

He definitely looks great on this body . And the wig suits him so well.

 

Wow, he's adorable!! And I love him on the delf body, the proportions work really well with your other dolls too. How does the head/neck situation look from the side?

@laquaza yes I think they're pretty easy to engage. He sits upright with legs in different positions pretty easily!

@Ruinscathedral The end of the neck looks a little bit big from the side. You can tell it's not a 100% perfect fit, so for the perfectionist, they could sand down the top of the neck a bit and the head would sit perfectly. It doesn't bother me really and I'm too scared about breathing in resin dust to bother with sanding

OMGosh, he's too darn adorable That really were the perfect size for him, congrats on getting him finally home Size and height difference in my doll crew is really important. And I can tell your own little crew over there look so much better with a little bit of difference between the boys I just hope I can also order Muse Jean on the Delf Boy body when time comes!

I had that body for a CP Delf Lishe many years ago, but I don't own him anymore. But I know just how nice the body is. Aesthetically I love it very much, and I'm really missing having a boy on that body!

Sadly for me there's no knowing when I'll be able to order, so many things getting in my way or ordering these days. One of the things I also need done is getting a SDF65 Maize on the new SDF boy body if that's possible. I'm really struggling with figuring out which boy to save up for first, Jean or Maize

I desperately need to upgrade him from his awful SDF type 1 body. Handling him is just frustrating right now. So I tend to neglect him quite a bit. But he's so pretty he really deserves better.


Any thoughts on the SDF type 4 body? How does it pose? That's the body I'm currently eyeing for him .

Hi! I'm thinking of buying Howl during the summer event... And I have the same question about the Type 4 body and how it poses.

I've also been looking for the measurements of the Type 4 body - I can't find them anywhere! any help would be really appreciated! ^_^
Is the SDF Type 4 body a new release, perhaps this year, or for the summer event?

 

The SDF type 4 body is from 2014 or something. At least that's the date they listed on their online shop. Sadly old body listings from Luts just didn't come with measurements at all.
I think generally SDF (and DF) boys are too small to be popular so Luts dropped them. They were kinda ditched in favor of the tall guys.

Has anyone got anymore muse's to share? Also what other heads are a good fit on muse bodies? I'm new to senior delf matches and the way other heads fit from different companies

All the Luts dolls are so gorgeous! I was considering using one as a base for my character, but I will wait and see what else there is.

 

The Senior Delf line is similar in measurements and sizing to a Volks SD13. Not exact but very close!

 

Hello there, beautiful people. I arrive with a question. A friend of mine has a Muse cutie on order and while she waits, I'm helping out with research. I am specifically interested to hear about shoes that might fit - especially heels. If you've got any reccomendations or sizing suggestions, throw them my way!

 

Here are some measurements to help your search (check which feet your friend has):
Flat feet- 7.8cm long x 3cm wide
Heel legs feet- 8.2cm long x 3cm wide
High heel legs- 8.5cm long x 3cm wide, heel height 4.3cm

The LUTS website sells shoes so always convenient to check there, sometimes the webpage will include shoe measurements and which sizes the shoe will be compatible with. For the high heel legs, I think there's just one pair of shoes from LUTS made specially for those feet
The flat feet are slightly shorter than SD13 feet so most SD13 shoes should be compatible.
I managed to find shoes made for POPO68 heel feet that fit well on Muse heel feet, again the dimensions are close

I definetly had this body in mind when I mentioned the SDF line being very similar in measurements to a Volks SD. The new Muse bodies have slightly smaller measurements as they are slimmer and taper in different places.

 

Has anyone bought a special skin of Muse Kai? If you arrive, please show it to us!

 

So Luts is discontinuing 3/4 of the Senior Delf male bodies, as well as 4 of the female bodies. (And more from other lines.) There's only going to be one Senior Delf male and Delf male body left.

I have an incoming secondhand Senior Delf Howl that should be delivered today (but I can't open til I get home from work this evening). He'll be on the SDF type 2 body.

 

I got an e-mail last night that my Senior Delf Muse Kai shipped??? Kind of shocked to be honest since I expected the production time to be within the 90-100 days that was posted as I ordered him and a ton of other things during the winter event. Hopefully, nothing is wrong with my order and I just got lucky. lol

 

Finally opened my new (to me) Howl on the type 4 male body. I know @laquaza was asking about this body before and he seems to pose just fine. I personally have a love/hate relationship with the type of hip setup Luts uses on this body (as well as many others) but otherwise I like it much better than the very old type 1 body I had long ago.

Lyle is a reshell back into a Howl after thinking he should be a different sculpt but his first shell was perfect all along.

 

Darn, Luts is discontinuing the Senior Delf Type 3 body, I literally just made plans for an Amy in their Real Skin Tan but I'm nowhere near having the money. Does anyone know if Senior Delf heads fit on taller 1/3 bodies? I'm going to have to hope to get in on a head choice event and hybrid her, now.

Have a question though. Does anyone know how cross-compatible Dream of Doll DOT Heads are with Senior Delf bodies? I’ve had a DOT event head from like 9 years ago, that I never got to get a Body for before Dream of Doll went under. The Senior Delf 1 is pretty similar to what the Body I’d wanted looked like, but I don’t know if the head will fit ‍

 

:] Hello!! I wanted to ask if anyone has any opinions on the Senior Delf high heel legs (type 8) vs the basic flat feet? The high heel legs look double jointed so I'm thinking it should be good but wanted to know if anyone's experienced any difficulty standing in shoes or anything like that.

Also wanted to ask for people's experiences with the type 8 glam body in general!

 

I bought a Luts event head in realskin normal off the marketplace here made in 2021, and was curious if anyone here knew how much normal resin mellows over time. I'd like to get him admittedly the superior ssdf body and I'm just wondering how different those two will be for like face-up purposes.

 

My first Luts doll from 2017 still matches my newer dolls. I haven’t noticed any mellowing and I’ve switched bodies around my kdelfs a few times. They’re all from 2017-2021 with no noticeable color difference.

In my experience, Luts resin colors hold up really well. (Except for Real Skin Tan imo.) Here's most of my 2011-2021 Luts NS compared.

 

I do think new resins hold up much better. It felt like my RS normal yellowed fairly quickly, but mine are from 2008-2015ish

 

I wasn't sure where to ask this, but does anyone know how long it takes Luts to do the shipping payback they were offering during the event? My order says confirmed but the shipping hasn't been deducted or anything yet.

I'm looking forward to owning a senior delf Raina, though! :]

 

It is applied as points. If you're doing a layaway the points will be applied once it is paid in full. If they forget just post on q&a and they will process and give you the points~

Last summer Ramon (SDF Howl) fell down and broke his nose. He has been repaired and recently got a gorgeous new faceup from Ms Stein .


I hindsight it might not have been the worst thing to happe.. Because I probably wouldn't have wiped his old company faceup. And now he looks better than ever . But I do not wish to experience the anguish of seeing him smashed ever again.

 

@Cap'n, @laquaza, your Howl boys are both so cute! I love how their faceups are so different, and yet they both have a sweet, wistful look.

I wanted to ask, does anyone have Volks Bronze (like SD17 Regulus) to compare with any of the Luts tan resin colors (brown, light tan, or tan)? Thank you in advance!

@laquaza : Wow!!! I'm so sorry your Howl had to get a makeover such a drastic way... but popped into this thread and it totally reignited my desire for a beautiful Howl boy again. Ms. Stein did a fantastic job on his repairs. I cannot see anything to would allude to damage, just a very beautiful faceup to enjoy~
