I actually read this whole thread before ordering and this was mentioned more than once, and yet somehow I forgot all about it until you reminded me just now. That's good news though! I was going to get him some additional hands eventually anyway so I guess I will try some of the regular SDF hands too. Might wait for an upcoming event just to see if I can get a free wig or whatever out of it.
@Torino - Dominic is so handsome! I love his chibi version as well. He looks great in the RSB skintone, congrats on your new addition. I saw on the site that there are some SD65 brown skin jointed hands as well if that might interest you.
I wanted to share some pictures of my first two BJDs that arrived recently Senior Delf 65 Blue and Senior Delf 65 Bory Romance from the winter event. The lighting isn't great since the weather is quite gloomy today...but here they are nonetheless
Congrats, they are both gorgeous Bliss by ManabuLi010, on Flickr My precious antisocial weirdo's final look! Grew tired of the long girly hair on him so I put him in a wig and eyes that makes him look more boy like and like the little weirdo that he is
Hey all, I'm new to ordering from Luts. About how long is the wait from the time ordered to delivery? I ordered the Muse body for a floating head
I'm looking to pre-order a Senior Delf Abadon from DDE, it doesn't specify what model the body choices are and I'm trying to figure out what clothes will fit him. Does anyone know if it's on the Senior65 Delf New Body? From what I can tell, it's the same, but I'm new to SDs and Luts in general so I wanted to double check before I commit to buying anything for him. Thanks so much! Nevermind, I figured it out. Sorry.
My last order with them was placed 17th of November and I had him at my house on the 22nd of February. However, I had a full doll with a custom faceup that had to be checked, and the email asking for my feedback on the faceup had gone to my spam so I didn’t see it for weeks. Since you only ordered a body, I imagine the wait will be much shorter, probably more like two months.
Kai by ManabuLi010, on Flickr Kai changes so much depending on the hair style he got. Now he's back to his natural hair color and he look more like a flirt this time XD Flirt or not, I really love this style on him It looks like hes wearing a long skirt but he's wearing wide legged pants or Palazzo Pants as they are called. Learned something new through him as I'm not much of a fashion person myself, but he loves high fashion, and vampires XD
Came to the realization that I've never photographed my two SD65 together before. They don't really interact much in my stories. Have also never photographed my two SSDF together but I'll do that another time.
Looking awesome in his new suit High heels is a big part of his background story, I've never had him in anything else but heel shoes With his new look his background storry changed a bit too. They're both very cute, but they look kind of awkward around eachother. Looking as if they don't know what to talk about together XD
I love Raven's sculpt so much! I just want to throw all the pretty clothes, eyes and wigs at him and take a million photos. He's now wearing 14/7 Tianba eyes, and, honestly, they are worth the price. Spoiler: More
I can see why…he’s quite the stunner! Those romantic eyes in combination with his amazing faceup is quite compelling. He just seems to draw you in.
@Niel I told myself that I don't like romantic style eyes so I'm not pining after them but your boy is making that difficult for me with how gorgeous he is.
Hello - please forgive me if this has been mentioned, but I searched with several different search terms and nothing came up. I want to buy a Senior65 boy body, (for the Summer Event head) but I can't decide between the slim and the muscular. I don't want a body-builder type body with veins showing and such. But I do want some muscle definition. From the photos on Luts' site, the muscular body doesn't look "overly muscular" in my opinion. I'm leaning toward picking the slim body to be on the safe side, as it does have some muscle definition, and probably doesn't have veins! And clothing might fit better. But I do like the muscular body too. the legs especially. Indecision! Ack! I think seeing owner photos would help a lot. Do they both pose well? Are there any problems with getting clothes to fit on the muscular body? Are there any owner photo comparisons between the two bodies floating around? If you have either the slim or the muscular body, how do you feel about it? A character I have in mind for him is a quiet Victorian steampunk gentleman inventor kind of guy. But that is not set in stone. Thanks in advance for any advice!
I have the slender 65 body and I like it a lot! I have minor complaints about some of joints - the shoulder joint locks only allow a couple of positions, the elastic falls off the hip socket peg if his thigh is rotated out when sitting - but SD17- sized clothes fit well and he's quite steady on his feet. I haven't had time to take many photos, but this might be useful? The guy on the left is an SDGou, so you can see that despite the Senior65 being slim, he's not exactly dainty.
Hi! I just got my senior 65 Joe on a type 3 body, and I was trying to see if he could sit cross legged and.... his leg fell off? It looks the string came off the peg... has anyone had this happen before?? I don't think I was being too rough with him??The knots gotten stuck in the thigh joint, so I'm trying get that out and re-sting him.
@ItelyNotItaly Yeah, that happened to me a few times. That’s just how the body is constructed, unfortunately. Putting it back on is a pain so I just move everything very slowly and try not to rotate the thighs too much. I wouldn’t mind if Luts reworked their 65 cm body line up…
I don't remember a Sky but there is a SD65 Cyn. I believe it was B&G whom had a sculpt named Sky but there's probably others as well.
I even wrote about it somewhere because I thought it looked like an event head I like, but it was a limited edition and already sold out. It must exist because it's one of the head options for their superior body. I specifically remember it was a 65 head, though the superior body is SSD.
@ninive That sounded familiar to me and I found the Sky sculpt mentioned on BJDCollectasy~ It was released as a limited with the slender 65 body.
That's weird, they still have the page for the romance Carmine but Sky disappeared. I wanted to know if anyone had one to see if it really is the same as the event head, seem to have quite a distinctive lip shape but it's hard to tell with one picture.
Wow, I'm surprised there's nothing about Sky on the Luts website too. Thought they still kept info on their limited sculpt releases. He reminds me of a SD version of the Winter 2020 KDF event head. Edit: Found the notice on the Luts site too but nothing more.
The event head he reminds me of is the winter 13 and summer 09, I was wondering if it was another release of the same sculpt.
Anyone have an SDF and SDF65 head they could show side by side? Or just know in general if SDF65 heads are smaller than SDF ones? I’m being tempted by an Abadon but the one SDF howl head I have is quite a bit larger than the Switch heads next to it…
For the longest time, pretty much all Luts SD same gender heads could switch bodies and still look fine. Luts only recently messed that consistency up. I've have mutliple "hybrids"; a SSDF head on a SD65 body, a SD65 head on a SSDF body, and a SD65 head on a Senior Delf body. But that being said, Abadon looks a bit on the smaller size due to how chiseled features make him seem so. Wig size is the same. I have a Howl right now and used to have an Abadon (no longer do tho). My Howl has been on a Senior Delf body (tho he's currently SD65) and the Abadon I had came on a SSDF body. I think I posted this before but here is a comparison of a few heads including Abadon. Luts; Clary, Abadon, and Brinicle I no longer own Abadon but I still have Brinicle and Howl. They look about the same size.
Hi all! Is there any kind of consensus yet about how the Senior65 girl body poses? I've poked around DoA and only seen comments about the size of her shoulders. Which I agree turned me off at first, however I have a girl character who I want to wear boy clothes and I realized this body might make that easier. (She's on a Senior Delf body right now, and in general boy clothes look extremely oversized on her.) I don't like the look of the SDF65 knees but if she poses really well like the boys do then I could probably get over it. Edit: Realized that I should clarify- I'm not talking about crazy amazing poses or anything, just basic stuff. Can she stand? Can she sit? Can she bend her arms and they stay in place? That sort of thing!
I would totally wait for someone that actually has the SDF65 girl body as I don't have one BUT from looking at the pics on the website and then comparing them to the pics of the boy body, they certainly seem engineered the same. The SDF65 body, to me, poses extremely well. I'm not one to try any wacky poses or have need for them but the things that I do like, which are things you mentioned, are quite on point! The arms should be able to bend and maintain a pose and I would assume much like the boys she should be able to touch her face, keep her hands in the same position, etc. The knees also look similar to the boy body to me so... yeah they do have that awkward looking peanut joint looking thing that I find hard to engage but, it does make for good sitting, especially if you want them to sit cross-legged! I think the standing should be good because in all honesty, ALL of my LUTS dolls are solid standers even my SDF from 2008 that could use a restringing is an excellent stander! If you do happen to take the plunge and get the SDF65 girl body, I would love to see pictures! As a broad shouldered gal myself I think the controversy over her shoulders was greatly exaggerated! LOL xD
OMG I just saw the announcement for the new Delf type 6 body that's supposed to match female SDF65 heads . https://twitter.com/LUTSCOREA/status/1600065201264787457 Eeeeeee I'm so exited. My Shell dreams might come true after all.
That's cool, but still no new body for the Delf boy, and I wonder will the Delf boy ever get any updated, new body type?
OMG Luts is going to sell heads only for a few days. That's so nice and I definitely need to check if I can swing a brown Shell head spontaneously .
Does someone know if sd65 heads (still) fit Senior Delf or Delf bodies? I'm tempted for Dian Romance Elf Unicorn but he's just so big, I'd prefer a bit of a smaller body for him, especially since I don't need the hooves body
not normally browse in large section, but have not seen this anywhere else, such a short time window too. Did Luts or have they ever offer head only with make up?
They usually only offer heads for a limited time during the initial release of a new sculpt. And only ever in NS or WS.
I know it's still kinda early, but does anyone happen to know a rough estimate of when their Summer event will kick off? I'm hoping they bring back the grey resin so I can get a Ginger in grey.
I think it's important what the standard of matching is, if I put bliss65 head on 65 slender, that throat was a little empty. Each head has a different neck circumference, so I don't know how it will be. As far as I know, SDF.ver1 has a neck circumference of 10cm and 65 slender is 9cm. Maybe because of this, the muse body is the upper body parts, thay released ver2. It would be better to ask the staff about the neck circumference information in detail. They will answer kindly.
Bliss by ManabuLi010, on Flickr Kai borrowing something that isn't exactly meant for him, but my little weirdo still look good in it
Well, after swearing up and down I wouldn't be looking at any more big dolls... I'm mildly obsessed with big Luts girls Does anyone know if any of the SDF girl hands would work on the SDF65 girl body? I'm wishing for some daintier option hands Furthermore, do the 65 option hands even fit the girl body? Her wrists look more slender than the boy's body, or is it my imagination?
I thought I'd double post since I brought the question to Luts and got an answer back It always bothers me when I find someone asking my same question, and they didn't share the answer, so I'm doing my part and sharing it "hi SDF65 option hands do not fit girl body. More than the silhouette, the size of the sphere on the wrist doesn't fit Incompatible. I have a plan to make special hand for girl body later. If you have a design you want, please feel free to leave a message. Thank you. Best Regards Lutsdoll." Well, I didn't have any particular design in mind, but I thought I might throw that out there if anyone else is looking at SDF65 girl. Seems that option hands for 65 girl will come, and that suggestions are welcomed Since they didn't answer me about SDF hands, I'm guessing they're incompatible too. Bummer! I am wanting to get a 65 girl in bronze during the summer event, but since the announcement of the new event says they won't continue to offer bronze seasonally for every doll, I wonder if I'll be able to order those girl hands in bronze when they come out. Maybe they'll accept a pretty-please-with-cherries-on-top
Speaking of SDF65 girls, does anyone have a Shell they can show me? I love the eye shape but I want to make sure the mouth is neutral enough to lend itself to looking melancholic. No particular resin color either, I have a pretty good idea of what I want anyways.
I'm confused, what is the event heads this time, exactly? Usually you'll find them in the event head section, labeled as "event head". But all I see is heads labeled as limited time heads, that you can order separately during the event, and some other limited animal ears and horn parts.
The event heads are rereleases so they probably aren’t at the top? KDF Raspberry and SDF Diez Elf are the event heads and Purple is the new SDF65 head. :3
I found them, they were further down Personally I got rules now that I only follow the doll plans I have made. Have to think about how I don't have all the room in the world to keep dolls. But the Elf Diez head is tempting though I'm glad to see Luts re-release past event heads, that's very nice especially if you weren't able to do any doll orders earlier.
I tried making rules like that but I have horrible impulse control so that’s how I ended up with my SDF Bory Romance ;-; I wish you luck and strength!!
I have a feeling I'll end up with a ws Elf Diez though But, I'm not the kind of person that holds on to every doll I've ever bought, I know I have dolls now that there's no point in holding onto anymore. Years back my plans were realistic sculpts, but I chose Luts in the end. I should be able to make room for some new dolls now, by doing some changes. I've decided that my Sweety Bliss who is my most treasured doll will be my main focus. So I'm moving onto a new phase in my hobby where I'll focus on Bliss, his family and friends that yet have to be created and ordered. I'm making some important changes to my doll collection. I've gotten to a point in life where I want to have a doll collection that feels complete! Any doll that does not belong in my Bliss's world, is not worth it for me to hold on to. I'm starting to feel the stress of having a collection that feels too big, or having dolls around that no longer fit in anywhere!
I figure I'll ask here but has anyone had good luck hybridizing a girl SDF65 body and a SSDF boy head? I think Rain could make such a pretty girl and when I asked Luts they didn't exactly seem excited by the prospect...
Do the neck circumferences match? That would be my biggest concern, followed by head circumference differences between Purple and Rain…
Not really for neck size but I noticed at least with the SDF65 listing it does say it's compatible up to SSDF. Head size, Shell reportedly has an 8.2" circumference head and Rain reportedly has an 8.3" circumference head. Shoulder size I am totally not surprised if they don't match up and I may get a different body if I want it to look better in that sense.
I just checked the neck sizes and I think they might not be super enthused because the neck circumferences are a bit funky. The neck’s thicker than the head can support by almost a centimeter, which would mean that you’d get a really obvious neck ‘stub’. Like, you’d be able to see the curves of the neck end. Since the SDF65 heads are made for those 9cm necks, they’d be larger than the SSDF necks and you’d be able to make it work with some smart sueding. It doesn’t look like you could swing it the other way around without having to permanently modify the neck.
Then I guess I'm confused why they specifically have this in there if isn't a good idea "Senior65 Delf Girl Body compatible with DF~SSDF Boy Head, SDF Muse Head, SDF Girl Head (in the option)" Like someone was eventually going to ask if it's possible...
