Luts Model Delf 45cm (MDF) mature mini discussion part 1

I've received my mdf cian earlier this week, but no time to take pic just yet.
I'm impressed with the posing. he can squat with no other aid.
and I'm not sure about the rbs >_< all my dolls up to now all ns.

 

I have a Brown skin cian too! I actually love Luts brown skin option.

I looked at my sister last night and went "I hope Keiji ships soon. Oracle and Ash's shoes are in his order" (Two dolls I have, and needed their shoes in for their xmas outfits)
and literally 2 minutes later I got an email from luts! I've been sick for 2 dang weeks, this is fabulous news Haha.

 

Oh my! Thank you so much for this. I don’t know how I missed your reply but I really appreciate it! I think I can have my hybrid as far as resin goes! And I would very much appreciate if you had a LM head to put on the body for me. I’m so crossing my fingers that it is an okay size. I don’t mind if it’s a little smaller since wigs add volume but I love the Model Delf so!

 

I have cian as well, and consider buying an avalanche... not sure which skin color i should choose. i want to choose tan, but i never had tan skin doll before...

 

I love my Cian in Brown skin. I haven't seen the tan/dark tan in person, but their resin colors always look so rich and lovely. I wanna get an SD in their brownskin too~

 

actually i meant brown color. Tan is bit too dark for me. I just worried it would be a bit hard to choose cloths or wig for brown skin doll since i never worked with brown skin doll before... however i am really eager to try a new skin color

@natsu82 Ah. The brown color is nice and creamy and I love it. Maybe I'll snap a pic of my 4 model delfs together. I only have the one brown but I love him. He's supposed to have black hair but I haven't made him a proper wig yet, so now he has a dark brown that looks nice. I also had a tiny delf in brown skin that had white hair and I love that too. I don't really think there's a wrong color for them. It's just personal preference.

That's my brown skin Cian besides my Normal skin Bory.
I'm pretty dissatisfied with both of their wigs, but because of style not color. I want Prophet, my Cian, to have black black hair, and... not quite that style. (But sometimes you have to make due. Lol!)

Ohhh no, neither of them are too big! Any smaller and they wouldn't fit. :P

Do you have any Kid Delfs, or maybe Minifee or Soom MSD to compare with the Model Bory head? I'm so worried about the size of his head tho I'm very inclined on getting one for myself D: he's so handsome!

Hi all! I've been considering a Model Delf girl and curious if someone here could tell me about how the body poses. I found a body review on YouTube, but it was several years old. One of the complaints about the body was how the legs were strung. I'm hoping to get a more current opinion on the body.

 

Unfortunately, I don't know how the new body poses. I don't mind the old one at all-- Sure, I hate the peg leg system, but I felt like I had less issues with it in model delf females than the males/Kid delfs. And the type 2 arms in the old body were to freaking die for.
But now they changed th ebodies. :\ not sure how many here actually HAVE the new bodies to let you know. I have a male one and it's alright. More ore less the same pose wise, but aesthetic wise, I liked the old body more.

 

Hey guys I need your help I want a mdf girl that looks like victoria beckham and I'am doubting between 3 molds: Annete,Garnet or Dia
wich one do you think comes close to the lovely victoria beckham?

@sylvesther I think Annette looks the closest to her. But I'm biased since I have one. It would also depend on what look you are aiming for. The drawback of Annette is she has a VERY small head and eyes compared to my other minis; a 5" head with 10 mm eyes. Plus her lips are kinda flat. Dia looks like she has at least 14 mm eyes though the same sized head so more anime style Victoria? I'm not feeling Garnet is a good match but she does have lovely pouty lips. She'd be good if your going for a more aloof personality.

 

I really like how victoria is now,not the spice girl version haha and I'm looking for a more realistic style so a No to Dia.
however I'am still doubting between garnet and annette,because garnet has the perfect lips but annette has the perfect head/face shape it is so difficult to choose I just want to get this right

 

@sylvesther Annette. Victoria doesn't have full lips like Garnet and I agree that Annette fits Victoria's facial features much better. You can make Annette's lips look larger or poutier with a face-up. There are many make-up tricks out there that show you how, on human lips. Similar techniques can be applied to a doll.

 

I forgot to post here but I finally got my box opening pictures up. I got the New Type 2 body and I LOVE them. They are super stable can stand and hold poses without a stand. I got a new body for my Cherry and a KDF Aru on MDF body.



Also Sizing Info.
TTYA Jean Shorts and Nine9Style jeans fit. The are a struggle to get on but will fit. However sitting in both is a barely, and I'm afraid the tight fabric may stain over long periods so not good to leave them on more than a photo shoot. The Long sleeve is Nine9Style knit and looks nice, the T-shirt is from Tata's and also fits well.

Their new clothes haven't arrived, I spent all day drafting, then trial and error in a bra for the MDF body. Finally some success.

 

Yay more centaurs!! The boys look so handsome! I've never been a fan of mature minis but I'm thinking I might change my kind now. xD Is it just me or does the centaur body look different too? The joints. It might be just me.

 

I think the Model Delf bodies are different from the Kid Delf. But I’m not 100%. I know my kid delf’s centaur body can look shorter or longer when I arch the back or stretch out the back legs.

I really love Silver’s face. Just on the fence about the body as I’m sure he won’t match my kid delf’s body.

 

Welp there goes my money for the next 6 months. Was wondering how BJDivas was and will be finding out now.

The horse body is different. It looks a bit more lanky than the kdf centaur body.

 

I wouldnt be surprised if quite a few people actually end up ordering their boy mdf centaurs, even if only for the body.

Several other companies have been making centaurs as well but those have all been females. This will be an opportunity for those owners to buy their ladies a hunky boyfriend.

My partner and I are going to have to bite the bullet and order one each because we mostly collect mature minis and have been dreaming of mdf centaurs for years.

We tried one of the kdf satryos dolls but just couldnt deal with the childishness of the head or the pudgyness of the kdf human body. Plus we really wanted a horse, not a deer/goat. So he ended up getting sold.

 

So not gonna lie, but I was super excited about the possibility of another fantasy feet KDF because it's been a long time. Even though I was bummed about that, I'm now super excited about these elves! Female MDF elf Bory is so pretty, but I think I'm definitely going to cave for Pine. My lawd. My first mature mini

Hello! I'm looking at getting the Elf Pine but I was wondering if anyone had asked Luts about getting heel feet for the mdf girls? I like having the option of heel feet but there seems to be no way to add them as they are marked as sold out on the website?

 

would there be KDF heel feet that'd work? I have my MDF guy wearing KDF gun hands and they're only a smidge smaller, the difference looks natural enough.
edit: shoot those are sold out too. Maybe someone could ask them if they intend to restock those.

 

Does anyone happen to have a minifee head they could try on the male MDF body? I'm eyeballing the boy fairyland is teasing currently and I kind wanna put his head on a taller/buffer body to pair up with my MNF Niella.

My partner has 2 mdf boys and is getting a fairyland Woosoo vampire in next week actually. I can get you pics then if no one has posted by then.

Im not sure how the fit will be with how big the fairyland head holes are for their special mechs. Usually you have to mod that hole closed some to fit on non fairyland bodies from what Ive seen other people do.

I CAN say that I have a mdf head on a fairyland moe boy body and it works great.

 

@Alaia Thank you so much! That would be super helpful. I kind of figured I'd have to do some modding, but that's not a big issue, so long as the sizing isn't too off.

 

Sorry for just randomly jumping into this thread, but I’ve been waffling over the idea of a MDF head on a minifee body for some time - can you please share a photo of your mdf head on the moe body? I would greatly appreciate it ❤️

I really love my hybrid. He makes for a great way to get size difference but still stay mature looking. Here is a shot of my Model Delf Blanchet/Fairyland Moe hybrid standing with my partner's 2 Model Delf boys.

I saw you post on a minifee comparison thread earlier that you will probably just go with an A line body but I still have the photo for you as well. I can only post 1 photo at a time in a Discussion thread so you will have to go to my flickr to see the other photos I took there.

I have Minifee head on both Model Delf boy and girl body there.

 

Thank you so much!! What a fantastic hybrid, and they all look so good together! I'm really excited about this, because I do love the minifee body but I want a more masculine looking boy.

 

Really want to try making my MDF alec into a hybrid. Reading through some of these and I'm noticing the same stuff as @vermont chick with the neck I have the MDF Alec and I've only realized after purchasing that his head is the smallest of the whole MDF batch ... I want to love him so bad (his body is BEAUTIFUL) but oh man..that neck. Way too thick for such a little head!! I wonder if some of the other heads are bigger/big enough to avoid the...er.... pinhead look.

Right? I really adore how he turned out. I wish Luts sold heafs separately all the time so I could do more hybrids. Its not that I dont love their bodies its just that not all my boys are Beefcakes and I can't stand how boxy the KDF bodies are.

Next time Luts does a head buying event I will have to jump on it now that Denverdoll and BJDivas are dealers for them and offer layaways.

Yeah. Luts seems to be having trouble makibg MDF heads a consistant size. Avalanche and Abadon are what I have pictured above and are great size wise. Lapis and Alec seem to have the most trouble being small and therefore pinheaded. Then Bory and Carmine look really child like and almost big headed, almost like they wanted to just put a KDF head on the MDF body, (which they've done now introducing the Model Kid Delf elves) which to me misses the point of trying to be a mature mini.

Silver and Green both look to be alright, Green almost looks big headed in some pictures but I think thats just the round wig they chose for him. So I am hopeful that they havent abandoned the mature look but noticed Alec and Lapis were too small.

For your Alec I would advise trying a slightly longer wig that clings to his neck some, like the one they show on Silver. That could help disguise how large the neck is in comparison to the head.

 

@Alaia Thank you so much for the pictures! I probably will still go with the A-Line, but it's still nice to see that this hybrid could work with a little bit of work! Thank you again for sharing.

 

Exactly I'm hoping to either find a wig that can work for him, or honestly at this point, considering buying him a new head. I wish Luts sold the heads by themselves! (I'd even buy a sleep one at this point, but they're always sold out...) Thanks for the advice anyways!!!

I know that pain Dx They did an event awhile back where they sold all their heads separately but its been a few years. I REALLY hope they bring it back again. I plan to grab up some MDF heads if they do it again.

I keep intending to post the suggestion of bringing back the event on the restock request area of their site but my phone doesnt seem to want to allow me to log in to the site to do so and I keep forgetting to do so on the days I can get to computer.

Thank for this thread, I'm thinking about MDF size limited elf girls, but I can't find more clearly inform on their official web.

 

Jumping on that limited elf girl train, because this is the year of unplanned dolls for me, evidently! How drop-dead gorgeous is Pine, tho? It was actually really hard to choose between her, Nana, and Bory. But elf Pine is so distinct from human Pine I felt like she had to be the one. I'm looking forward to seeing how the body poses, as I've heard good things.

Current MDF girl owners, any advice on clothes/shoes? This is the first girl I've had to clothe, and I'd ideally like to have one outfit ready for her when she gets here. I've got too many of my crew hanging around in makeshift togas as it is, lol.

 

Promo-pics have MDF girls wearing 2079realms MSD shoes, so finding suitable shoes shouldn't be a problem.
Also seconding clothes question. I thought MDFs were similar to Iple FID girls, but no...

 

Luts is now producing option parts again! Heel feet, hands, and so on.
