Luts Model Delf 45cm (MDF) mature mini discussion part 1

personnaly it's the waist and hip region I don't like. I'm not found of bodies with really defined muscles to begin with, but this one has a little something more that really bugs me and I can't quiet put my finger on it. and it reminds me of soom mega gem.

 

I'm really curious to what kinda clothes and shoes that'll fit. Anyone dare guess what eye size they wear?

Abadon is on my wish list now. I'm as sure as I can be that he needs to come home with me. I think he'll be a good firtst MDF order (when time comes)

 

I actually asked LUTS the other day if they plan on releasing girls, and they said that they definitely have plans to make female Model Delfs in the future. They didn't say anything about a definite time frame, though. Once those are introduced, I'll be a lot more interested. I would be super interested in a mini Mia.

Oh, from those pictures it looks like there are actually two MDF bodies, a muscular one and a slimmer one, so those who don't like the muscular legs have another option.

I'm worried, that even though IH's J.I.D can look very mature, the heads are much bigger than LUTS MD. It's going to be a comparison of 7-8 inch and 6-7 inch.

 

I think the JID and MD will look good together though, since the JID faces are fairly small compared to most 7-8" doll heads.

for example I had a JID Owen paired with my MNF Siean (6-7" head size) and from most angles her head actually looks bigger then his due to the style of her face (see the pictures here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/anthrogirl14/11896735246/ )

 

I have been itching to order one of these guys since Tuesday but had a hard time deciding between Abadon and Dion. Then I couldn't make up my mind on the body combo.

The clothes are all available now, I am hoping they add those moccasins to the shoe section.

 

I can't wait to see if my (yet to ship) gray skin JID demon - Joshua will fit as a friend to my vampire Abadon Can't wait to compare the JID and MDF boy bodies

 

i think they are really cool, but in a lot of images it looks like the head is unproportionally small for the body (at least for sure unproportionally small for the neck)
has anybody else noticed this?

I quite like the more mature boys. I so want Cain or Avalanche. on a type Type 1 *I find type 1 and type 3 for a fighter type character * I shouldn't really have looked. but I was looking for an msd carrier and I just had to click on the new boys. I so thought they were SD rather than Msd, I would have been safe. I was wondering if their WS would match Soom's Cream White.

 

Cain and Avalanche are what I have my eye on too, both of them They would be completely perfect for an existing and a newly invented character to fit in with my current MSD family. Cian would be my character Noah, he was a Kid Delf Yuz before, but that was too immature a doll to work with the girls. For Avalanche I've started to create a character even though I'm telling myself I don't need him, but but but . And I never fall for MSD boys, certainly not this hard!! I really want Avalanche's sleeping head too as the character is blind, but I'm still trying to resist another layaway. Boy is Luts making life hard for me with all the new releases...

 

Ugh, I am so seduced by Soul Hunter Avalanche And they're limited, which means I only have a few more days to make a decision... The only thing I'm not too excited about are the mature bodies though, they seem a little too big for the head! Ugh there goes my doll plans for this year....Juhee will probably have to wait a little longer. Maybe LUTS will release a Model DELF version of her! *wishful thinking* xD

 

So luts do layaway? I don't see it on their site.

I'd really like to get the limited Avalanche and Abadon, they are so beautiful and I always wished for mature tinies. I also like the proportions, smaller head seems more realistic to me. I'd name my boys Kadmiel (Abadon) and Francis (Avalanche). Still need to decide which bodies, at the moment I think 1/1 for the vampire and 2/2 for soulhunter would fit the characters I have in mind.

 

I have we the opposite problem whenever new sculpts are released. Most of my dolls are 10mm or 12mm but with smaller irises, I even have one wearing 8mm! So I was really excited to see that the MDFs were in the same range!

I've managed to make myself all confused again and I really wish that Luts would put up an image of the sculpts blank as that'd really help me along. I do really love the idea of a redheaded Cian to be the big brother of my Withdoll Ruby, but I need to see the sculpt without anything before deciding. That said, I love the clothing!

 

I don't know what to do.. I really wanted the type 1 body more than anything. But I'm not sure I want it for my Abadon. The only face sculpt I personally think suits that body most is Cane I have to make a choice soon. I worry I will regret choosing a type 1 body for my Abadon, and I worry I will regret going type 2 instead

Luts did say though that maybe sometime in the future they could release MDF Cane but they did not have plans doing it any time soon. Mabe I just should go for type 2 and hope Luts will release Cane in the future.

Now I'm thinking of a big brother to my Sakura (Fairyland Littlefee Flora), I wonder who would work better as her big brother Cain or Avalanche. I'm also debating on an upper 1 or 3. I'm not familiar with luts dolls other than my luts dragon. How are the posing with the upper chest piece.

Nico would be either Cain or Avalanche, who's an overprotective older brother, caregiver to his lil sis when they lost their parents. the little one is very imaginative mind. *It's funny that I had a story already plan for my little one. I hope I can work him in. (a told myself no dolls, but how can I give a good price on a Mature Msd I've been wanting for a long time. *I wish Soom's msd were mature.* Anyone can confirm if 2014 ws luts matches sooms Cream white. (I know Soom matches fairyland)

 

I've just purchased a Cian in light tan! Upper body type 1 and lower body type 2! I also bought one of the clothes sets because I don't want to have the fuss of trying to find clothes to fit!

I'm so excited! Two months is such a long wait!

 

I ordered Avalanche in normal skin, with upper and lower body type 2 and some of the casual clothes. It will be interesting to see if he fits into any of the boy's clothes I currently have. From his measurements, it doesn't look too hopeful. I'm expecting longer than two months wait. If Luts is anything like Fairyland or Iplehouse they don't count weekend days, so you end up looking at an earliest delivery date in the middle of the next month. Still, the waiting list is shorter than the other two, so he might arrive sooner. Hoping for sooner!

 

The other two MSD Luts dolls I've bought in the past have come within the two month period. Generally Luts are quite good at keeping within a time frame. I'm a bit surprised more people haven't bought model delfs yet but I supposed not everyone adds their purchase to the wait list!

Hoping someone will buy a Abadon so we will get to see every model delf!

 

I bought an Abadon! And I will post pictures the minute he gets here, I swear — it's only been a week since I ordered and the wait already feels like forever XD

 

I promise to post pics of Avalanche when he gets here, too. Meanwhile, I'm trying to think of a name for him. That should keep me occupied for a while so I don't get too antsy waiting for him.

I'm just so happy Luts has come out with this size. The Kid Delf was really no substitute for the MiniFee, because it looks so much younger. I feel these boys will fill in the gap. I only hope Luts has plans for girls in this line, too.

 

Obviously I'll post pics of my Cian. It seems this thread will be a bit of a waiting thread until the dolls actually arrive! I've sorted out his wig and eyes so I really want him to come soon!

We should all make a picture pact that can never be broken!

As far as orders go, we seem to have everyone covered except Dion. Has anyone ordered him?

 

I really love Cian and will be purchasing with a type 1 top and type 2 bottom. I am in Luts GO with animerockstar and we are so excited! I wanted to get a 7-8 wig for him but after hearing about what size will actually fit him, I hope with the wig cap I can manage to get it to stay on his head. Any suggestions? [h=1][/h]

 

If I get my ducks in a row in time I will be ordering Dion soon... hopefully before the end of the event. We'll see if I can pull it off

I really wish the event extended to the 20th... I get my paycheck then and would have a better idea of my finances at that point (I know Luts has layaway that I could use, but since I'm 100% sure how much work I'll get in this month I kind of want to wait a bit before making any commitment). However worst comes to worst, I can see how things are on the 14th and perhaps order and do layaway there. I do have the money saved up already but I'd like to be closer to getting more money in just in case. That and I don't want to go mad buying dolls either. Ah well, at least they aren't limited so in a worst case scenario I can get them a bit later, perhaps when my taxes come in and/or my vacation money comes in.

 

My main concern would be their bodies, will the mature delf body be able to fit into normal msd sized clothes? Seems like their arm widths are a little large...feet are smaller too.

 

Jenjei -I personally wouldn't buy a size 7-8 wig because even with a wig cap, I think it will be way too big. I have a Kid Delf that wears a Crobidoll wig size 7-8 and its too big for her with a wig cap. So from experience I'm getting a size 6-7 wig. P.S. - I've bought Cian in that combination too!

Grinobsession - I'm worried about that too. So I've bought a outfit from Luts straight away. As long as my doll has one outfit, I can play around with other clothes from my other MSD's and figure out what will fit. You could wait until people get their dolls and more information will be avaliable then. I couldn't wait that long! XD

Mmmm yes. I will be ordering Abadon in the stupidly muscular two part torso and legs in real skin brown on Sunday. I'm so excited to finally see mature mini's!

 

Their foot is a bit smaller than Soom's Little Gem which is at 5.5 and I already have a hard time finding them shoes for both my girl and boy. so I guess I can them Mdf shoes.

I'm still debating on either AVALANCHE or CAIN why is it so hard to choose.

 

Question would it be weird if an older brother has brown skin and the little sister as normal skin.

I would love to see these dolls next to chiclines and orientdolls. MDFs seem to have much larger heads (compared to chiclines 4.5in and orientdolls 5.5in ) i wonder if it'll look overly awkward xD

 

I want to get an MDF (leaning heavily towards Cain) as the older brother of my Withdoll Ruby (who's normal skin) and I'd like to get him in Brown or Light Tan. They're supposed to be full siblings, but I really really want an MDF that's on the tan-side of the scale. In my head, Gabriel (the possible MDF man) is more tan simply due to lucking out with his genes + having a slightly different lifestyle than his sister (who's a musician playing the flute). So I think it could work personally, but you have to judge for yourself

@Jenjei: They're wearing 10mm in all the pictures. I guess they could wear 12mm as well, but there'd be no room left for the white of the eye and it would look too big.

 

I just found out the sale ends on the 15th. I hope I can get in with my layaway on the 15th since I was going to place it then. If I don't that will be really sad for me Since im ordering an extra body for a the extra head thats coming with my doll I plan on ordering.

 

@Fush: Luts will cancel an order automatically, if you haven't paid within 7 days. At least it says so on their layaway note.

So maybe you just order early enough to get within the time frame of the event, but do your first payment once you receive your money? Maybe Luts will accept that?

 

I'll be able to do MNF and JID comparisons. I ordered Dion with type 1/type 2 in brown skin.

 

I hope the future MDF girls comes with three different chest sizes as well. I want one with a type 3 or type 4 chest. I never had a BJD girl that big before.

My cousin who worked with his dad at car repairs and who loves going outside all day is VERY tanned xD Like he's something between the Light Tan and Tan...his sister on the other hand is very white XD So it works!

 

So I've come to the decision that my next doll to get will be a Model Delf and I'm pretty sure it'll be Cian. However, I thought I had sorted out that I wanted as far as upper body went. My plan was to get upper type 1 with lower type 2 however looking at it now I'm wondering if maybe I want upper type 2 instead and I'm giving myself a headache. The character, Gabe, is supposed to be into skateboarding, surfing, wakeboarding and so on so he would be in shape. I'm just not sure if he'd be in upper type 1 or 2 shape and it's driving me nuts. If nothing else I do know that I want him to be Brown... (Or light tan... oh no, not again!)

 

DamagedRoses0 - I'm having the exact same problem. I can't decide between the torso parts. First I want the less muscular one, then I want the muscular one, and now I'm not sure what I want! Why does this have be so hard!? It would be way smarter to wait until there are some owner pics for a proper comparison, but then I would miss out on that discount. Plus that also means *waiting* which I haaate

 

alayaya Glad to hear I'm not the only one who've managed to talk herself into one heck of a dilemma! I do know that I at some point want another MDF but I don't think I'll get one in the same resin colour so I can't exactly switch bodies if I change my mind and I really hate getting something that I might not keep/am unsure about but it seems like there's a chance that'll happen this time :P Right now I'm drooling over the arms of the muscular one and that IS what drew me to them. I just don't know if they fit the character I have in mind or someone else xD

Are the MDF's permanent? I know that there are limited ones, but are the others staying? I would love a mini Dion, but I can't get them just yet.

Haha! That's what I've been thinking for the past day or so too! So I'm strongly leaning in that direction for certain! Still arguing with myself about the sculpt, I do know Cian is the one I want as a brother to my other doll, but I do feel drawn to the rest too :P What colour do you plan on getting your Cian in?
