Luts Kid Delf Discussion part 17

Does anyone have a doll in their milky orange color? I would love to see other photos.

I wish I could get centaur parts in light tan or milky orange. But only tan, white, and black are offered. I tried to email and ask if it'd be possible but they haven't replied. I assume it's a no anyways but man that'd be swell.

I also am thinking about hosting a split and group order for LUTS. My order with my brother and i will qualify for the event gift items but neither of us have a need for the head so I figure I may try to offer a split if someone wants to jump in for it, or order wigs or a doll with us to save on shipping! ^^

I might try a split for the Kid45 centaur as I'd really like to have a taur body, but also to have a human in one of their special colors instead of NS, RSB, or Bronco, I also have no interest in the limited heads and faceups they're offering on it, only the horse parts. So maybe if someone wants a limited head/faceup but not to have to go all in on the horse body, that'd help someone and also help me and everyone wins! It'll depend on what they say with my question about possibly just ordering in special resin colors. I'd love a MDF head on the taur body but in a special color. But idk how flexible they are with this kinda thing. It may just be to much effort and confusion for them, and that I definitely understand.

I can't order a MDF head on their Kid45 body using their current listing options.
I can order a MDF head and MDF type3 slender body, but then I don't know if that'd fit the centaur half.
It'd be easiest if I could just order the body in the color(s) I want but, a split and hosting a group order is one roundabout way I can manage that if they're not able to offer it.

At the end of the day, I definitely want something in their Milky Orange resin color. Even if I have to settle on passing on the centaur parts. Gosh I was not prepared for such a nifty summer event. My wallet weeps. :'D

I have a HDF Bory in the milky orange if you'd like some pics of them beside some NS Luts. It is a lovely colour but it lost the pinkness very quickly and now is more of a, soft mellow colour

 

Oh I'd love to see it if you can share! (Especially if it's mellow tbh.)

A whole lotta Borys goin' on. The HDF Bory is in milky orange. This pic is lighting adjusted but is otherwise pretty accurate. The KDF is severely yellowed NS. The MDF is NS but with no yellowing. You can see that yellowing in NS is a different kind of mellow to the milky orange. TBH my milky orange bb is still a nice colour and not the same "yellow" as a yellowed NS. My poor KDF Bory is banana yellow in comparison.

 

What a wonderful grouping and a fabulous photo! Thank you so much for sharing this with us because your boys look positively amazing together like this. And thank you also for the very valuable description of the skin colors. The differences actually add to the lovely diversity and colorful nature of this grouping…and to the realism of this shot. Your photo put a smile on my face this morning!

 

@PoeticSoul Aww, thank you friend! Bory has always been my favourite sculpt and the summer event has me reaching for my wallet in the worst way. Aiming to get a frosty purple at some point. Maybe? In the mean time, I think I have enough Bory. For now. Could add more Bory. Make it a full set.

 

Aw, the crew looks great as always! Milky Orange really does look like a nice resin color. If we have another release of more elf kids with fantasy resin in the future, I might end up getting one in orange or pink! Also, this reminds me that I haven't taken pictures of my Bory in a while, need to get some newer photos of Milo.

I ended up going with the bubble mint for my romantic elf Diez, though, thought the blacks in his faceup would look good on a blue base. Now to settle in for the wait!

I just purchased a type 5 body and now 1) I'm anxiously awaiting her and 2) I need to see how people dress and style it since methinks it's a bit bigger and curvier than standard KDFs

Awww, she has HORNS and WINGS! I was planning to do that for my demon boy also but the LM closure had me putting all my Luts event orders on hold. What romantic glance head is she?

She is a babe! I'm waiting on a Luts body and I hope it will wear the hell out of an outfit.

 

So... i really like the big delf face Raina. But i think 1/3 scale is much too large for me. I dont think kid45 has the same sculpt? Any chance there is one under a different name?
Or does anyone know other sculpts that are similar, luts or not?

 

@A Wee Tiefling what body are you waiting on? I have to say while there are things I like about the body my Taro has I am very disappointed in how flat chested the Type 7 pretty girl body is. I’m almost thinking of just saying she’s a boy instead

 

I have the Type 5 Romantic in RSB coming. I am hoping I can resolve myself to how curvy it looks because I have a Type 5 "flat" and it's very round. Since it's shelling the sister of a boy on the DV loooong body they will make for an interesting contrast

 

Pretty sure the type 7 body is just a flat chested version of the type 6.

Huh. I never noticed that before. I think you’re right. I wish I’d noticed that before. I’m really hating how flat chested she is.

Just to clarify: I don’t mind a small chest but this body is SUPER flat chested.

 

I vaguely remember comparing the measurements and/or the promo images when the type 7 was released so I’m pretty sure. If you like everything else about the body consider eventually switching to the type 6. The chest on it is a little bit smaller than the type 2 chest but not by much and I think otherwise 6 and 7 are the same.

 

That would be kind of hard since she’s in a limited skin tone so I’m kinda stuck with it as is.

 

@laquaza my taro is in the bronco skin tone. Honestly though even her face kept giving me more masculine vibes. So who knows. Maybe a head with more a more feminine would have made me not be bothered by the flatchestedness

 

Im never ordering from denverdoll again. Ive been waiting a year for my berry and now they just sent me another order that took 6 to 7 months and its the wrong dolls and the event head has no faceup. I dont even know if the event heads correct. Im so tired of the way companies treat people in this hobby. This is not cheap, these are luxury items, and bjd companies treat us like we are mad our fries are cold. It sometimes feels like we are being scammed paying this much for resin figures in the first place, and you throw in ridiculous wait times and you start realizing, oh im a fool soon parted with their money.

 

@Tragedy I'm not ordering from them again, either. Back in October 2021 I ordered a Rika and I was notified that my order had been cancelled by Luts along with all other September/October 2021 orders. According to Denver Doll, Luts is trying to get all of those orders shipped by the end of August. But to be honest, part of me feels like that's not realistic to fill 2 months worth of orders by the end of the month, so I have a hunch I'm going to be waiting a lot longer and my patience is started to run thin.

 

My berry is apart of that mysteriously disappearing luts sept/oct order as well and I was also told the end of august but it is now the end of august...I'm trying to get refunded for both orders now

 

I hope you can get refunded, it's not right to wait so long and have an order never show up/be incorrect. I've been contemplating asking for a refund so I may inquire about one, too.

 

@Tragedy and @ViperOrchid im so sorry guys for your experience guys. I know how frustrating it is especially when we’re used to Luts being one of the “fast” companies that rarely takes more than 3 months. My last doll from Luts came through DenverDoll and she took 7 months to get here. I think part of the problem is 1) Luts has actually fallen behind so is not taking just 3 months but much longer now and 2) shipping what we’ve not been told is that shipping is now through a service that takes about 2 months to arrive (at least this is what someone else told). I hope everything gets fixed for you soon and that this doesn’t sour your love for the hobby.

 

I received refund for the berry. At least dde will sort it out but was told luts is under new ppl and i think that means lower quality, lower customer service and higher wait times.

 

Wait what, really? I wonder why they have new management, could they have financial problems? I hope if that's it they'll pull through it somehow, would be sad to lose Luts.

 

Wow... I knew a while back DDE was having issues even contacting them, but I had hoped that things got resolved.

That would be tragic. We already have lost way too many older companies.

 

Is there anyone with Korean knowledge who could check their local social media and see if this is an international customer issue? I'd be so upset if we lost Luts. I'm a Luts devotee.

 

This latest news is putting me off of (eventually) grabbing a Kid and Honey Delf from Luts. Hopefully it's temporary...

I asked on the Luts FB page, and they said only their warehouse management is new. Nothing else has changed with them. Seems a bit extreme to start worrying about the company going down the tubes just yet.

Another teaser from Twitter - this one looks like kid delf so I guess the two elves are the event heads? I hope it won't be another elf theme for all the event dolls... but then again; if it is I can save my money so that wouldn't actually be too bad.

Oooh the event head looks a bit like Kiwi from the mouth. I won't be able to buy any dolls this event but I'm excited to see the new releases!

They really are, Luts' dolls and previews are gorgeous and I can't wait till they add the full pictures to their site so we can see them in their full glory instead of tiny bit here and there. I wonder if elf ears also mean they're bringing the centaur bodies back? (Which again is just "not for me" thing but they're really cool to look at) I also always keep fingers crossed for kid version of Bliss, I just think s/he would be ridiculously cute as a kid doll and I'd probably buy him/her although I already have the MDF version of him.

 

Kid Delf Bliss is seriously a dream of mine. I keep crossing my fingers every event that they'll release one so I can make a child version of my Senior Delf. I've already thrown too much money at Luts but a Bliss kid delf would draw me in again instantly.

 

Your were right, it is Kiwi the SD event head is Carmine and then there's another new teaser I'm not sure if it is KDF but the little shown is really cute at least. Guess we'll find out the answer next week when they'll post his/her full face

I hope this event will be kind to my wallet what comes to limited dolls, I'm excited they're adding new ones in sizes I like instead of just more of those giant 1 meter boys and grand seniors, but I hope the ones I'll like aren't limited so I can push back purchasing them for later time. In the worst case I'll just have to grab some heads if they release something I absolutely need and it's limited though.

 

Oh wow! Have I spent too much time staring at Luts sculpts to be able to identify them by close up detail shots? I've always wanted a Kiwi or Romance Kiwi but I'm not sure I want an elf version. If I see one for sale secondhand, maybe I'll pick one up.

I'm hoping for the same since I know I won't be able to buy anything. I won't even speak on what type of special doll I'm wishing for for fear I'll speak it into existence!

 

I keep wishing for kid Bliss but at least so far nothing shown looks like Bliss. And I'd die for some really nice expression model delfs without elf ears but I'm likely save from both so I dare to say that out loud.
