I kind of like that new bory but i don't really know how i feel about the new limited skin colors listed here [NOTICE] 2019 Winter EventNotice - LUTS DOLL

XD If anybody gets those limited skin color kid delfs, would love to see more pictures.

 

Since I have little impulse control over Christmas events for dolls, I'm probably gonna break the no dolls rule and get one. I'm deciding between these and the new little monica special skin colors. Why are companies doing this to me?! Aaahhh!

I love the mint and the purple, and I've been wanting a Bory for years. So... We'll see. Those outfits are gorgeous though!

 

I wonder what that milky orange skin color is gonna look like XD it looks like a really unique tan skin color. I already missed out on the Christmas event (the dollmore Christmas lucky bag) that I was hoping to get, likely safe for now as I would rather get a normal skin color Bory romance head someday.

 

Oh, I've been hoping for some Kid Delf fantasy elves! I'm still debating on color though, I'm not sure if I want normal skin or one of those new fantasy tones. The bubble mint and lavender are both super appealing.

 

The grey skin is tempting me.... I am a sucker for grey skin.

Everyone is all hyped about the new dolls and colors, but lets not forget the old school kids!

oh is that elf ani?! XD Hard to see her elf ears but i love that wig! the color matches so well with the volks hybrid too. I wish the skin color wasn't limited period because then i can look at other people's dolls before deciding if i ever wanted one for myself XDDDD

 

XD a blue or purple Bory sounds great!!!! If I had the money I would’ve gotten a Bory in each of the new limited color just to see what it would actually look like in real life lol. Although it would be kind of cool if ppl just photoshopped their kid delf into the new limited color lol.

 

Luts said 12 KST, which is an hour ago, and still not up. I'm dying here lol. I adore the wig color on Carrot, I think it'd look nice with the grey mint color. And the outfits are so gorgeous. Luts really did a good job with these

 

I guess Luts made the choice for me, since Bory only offered one of the new fantasy tones! Ordered my boy just now, getting him blank so I can get something custom for his face up. So this will be my first Luts doll and my first fantasy skintone doll, super excited.

@A Wee Tiefling Your Bory collection is quite impressive! They're all very lovely, though, so I can't blame you. You're part of the reason that I wanted a Bory boy, and I'm glad I held out for an elf version!

 

Congrats on getting the elf Bory on the new model delf body!

I see that not only do they have the fantasy colours but they also have new skin color called zuzu white and peach obits white, does anyone have comparison for that with the original normal and white skin color?

 

@A Wee Tiefling Aw, but seeing pics of your boys always makes me happy! Besides, seeing the different Bory's helped me see how neat they could look. Hydranemone has definitely been on a Fairyland kick lately, I'll have to look back in their pics for the Bory goodness.

I'm looking forward to my minty boy, though. Yaaaay.

Which color are you thinking for the honey delf Bory? I really like Luts’ default faceup for the elf Bory, not sure if luts is accepting custom faceup nowadays tho. A while back they stopped offering custom faceup, wish it came back.

 

Indeed! So much excitement for these wonderful colors, but certainly your two are utterly adorable! I’m going to jump on board the celebration too. Here’s my 2010 Summery, Sugar, in a photo I took of her today. No matter how old she gets, she’ll always be a favorite!

Comparison of the new skin zuzu white snow and real skin peach obitsu white that's now available, is anyone gonna order kid delf with those two new skin colors?

Anybody has comparison resin colors for those two colors with real skin normal or real skin white?

 

Man... I am super tempted to get a hold of that peach color to see how it compares to the old normal skin color (pre realskin).

I miiiiiight see about ordering a random part like hands or something (though if I get it though a dealer it could take months to get here). If this is a match for either the old normal skin or the newer Fairyland normal... it might be very useful.

AHHHHH now i really want to look for someone in the model delf thread that's willing to split the brown Model Kid Delf BORY Romance Elf ver. Limited head with me XDDDDD.... but i'm so poor but brown bory elf head ahhhhh *in turmoil*

 

Certainly! It was an outfit I purchased from Luts for a doll character that sadly didn’t work out. This is definitely not the norm for my Sugar (she normally wears cute and colorful casual knitwear.) But I thought it would be fun to see her in a more formal look for a change. It’s this one on the Luts site: KDF Girl Han-fu Set (Black) It has so many pieces!

 

Oh! I did not recognize it! Did you put fabric under the beaded part on the stomach? I never looked twice at it as was too "mature" for my girls, but covering the tummy makes it so much better!

 

No, she’s just sitting in a bit of a slouch so the gap (her midriff) isn’t evident. It would be no problem however to permanently stitch that skirt to the elasticized top if someone wanted to go for a more demure look. It’s a beautiful set with a lot of pieces and possibilities.

I did her faceup myself years ago.

ooh late to the discussion here but I just went through to look at Luts' winter event colors and I'm all aboard the "what if I got a Bory in every color" train, haha. I have one of the one-off grey Borys from the event 3 years ago (and just don't take many pictures of him b/c I feel like the faceup colors are odd) and it's really nice, although maybe not the same as the one they're offering this year. Really tempted by the bubble mint and lavender; I have 6 Borys already but not like that

@asatou tbh I think the wig is just an inexpensive one from Ebay; the fact I don't remember deliberating over it backs that up ^^;
No more than half of my Borys are presentable at one time, unlike your pretty pair, but here's a shelf pic:


(elf, elf, standard, dreaming, romance, romance elf... so if I got another standard and/or another romance elf it would be balanced, right...)

@Cennie I think the mix of black and blue look really nice together with his grey. I haven't decided which colors I'm going to go with for my mint grey boy, but will probably also use cool colors of some kind. I do have that lovely light blue ponytail or that plum colored wig...

You have a lovely shelf there! Almost all of my dolls are "complete" at the moment, except for the three that are out having their faceups done. Somehow their bodies are still dressed, so...? Love your Bory boys, and all of your fam there! So happy to be joining the Bory club too, I've been champing at the bit for a kid delf elf ear release!

 

@Cennie that’s such an awesome group picture together!!!! Is that a light tan romance Bory??? I think he’s my fav of the group in this picture! Amazing how he doesn’t look out of place when he’s surrounded by the other light skin colored Borys! My brown Bory always looks a bit like he doesn’t belong with my normal skin colored one lol! Although the gray elf one still looks the best with his blue hair and awesome outfit! He almost looks like a normal color elf in this picture tho!!!

I’m sure bubble mint or lavender will be great additions to your Bory family!

 

@Magnus Vale you're more disciplined than me, haha. I bet plum would look really cool with the mint grey! The way Luts does elf ears is so fun, I'm glad they came out with a release you like :3

@asatou yeah! he's the light tan romance from the bird-footed Zeus release. The lighting in my room isn't doing any favors for comparing how they actually look (especially my grey boy, lol), but it's always fun to see how different skin tones affect the look of a sculpt. In some ways it's even more interesting to see the difference between your two boys, since they have the exact same sculpt. To me the half-lidded romance eyes always look like almost an entirely different sculpt.

@A Wee Tiefling so true >< people say that about Minifees but KDFs have an even more satisfying ability to plonk down on a shelf all in a row, to me. I always like seeing pics of your collection too, with the different size lines. I've been trying to stick to just KDFs for my Borys, haha

 

@A Wee Tiefling Haha, well, give me a couple months, and I'll be there! I'm currently plotting his face up!

@Cennie LOL, I wouldn't call it so much disciplined as a love for collecting wigs and clothing items! Plus I have a tendency not to buy a doll until I have at least some idea for a character for them and I order stuff for them while they're being made. (I.E. Magnus hoards clothes and wigs in her dollie drawer.)

I somehow managed to miss a few of the previous releases of elf eared boys, so I'm very happy right now. Plus Bory is such a cute sculpt. I've officially limited myself to MSD sized dolls only, so that keeps me from going nuts on other releases. I need to take a picture of my shelf when everyone's heads are back (plus guest appearances from my pet mice who sit on the top shelf).

 

@Magnus Vale Still, good practice Shelf photos are always fun, it's neat to see collections all together.

@A Wee Tiefling an eternal problem for sure; I go for mostly fantasy styles so it doesn't affect me too badly, but the just-out-of-reach temptation is real >< Getting a girl makes it juuust different enough - not the same doll, so it's justifiable, right?

 

@A Wee Tiefling oh of course not Personally I love the mint and lavender, but the pink and orange are more unique and interesting in some ways. I feel like unusual warm-tone colors are more rare but that might just be b/c I pay more attention to cool colors in general.

@Cennie Oh the Zues release is so handsome, no wonder! I feel like romance borys do look somewhat different too, especially if they have elf ears that it makes me think like it's a different sculpt as well. Man if I had the money I would get so many different Borys to compare all the different skin colors and different face ups lol.

 

MY GOD, Luts why must you challenge my wallet to a fight to the death. Limited colors. You can currently order ANY available doll and parts in new special skin colors guys.

My dreams of a Starefire doll, I've been to afraid to start because i knew I'd have to dye her. But now! Orange skin!

@asatou Your boys all look great together! The lighting on the second pic is really good, makes their faceups look super intense. All very handsome!

I've also seen a few from StarrshineDesigns, they have both a long and short sleeved one. I haven't ordered a crop top specifically from them, but I've gotten other clothes and they're all pretty nice.
