Luts Kid Delf Discussion part 16

OMG I thought I was safe for this winter event since I didn’t like either Terra or Taro nor the event head. But the Romance version of Taro! And as a devil!?!? Sigh. Guess I better figure out how soon I can order her. Though it looks like she is going to be on the 45 body. I would rather she didn’t tower over my others like that. Wonder if the wings are attached or external?

 

I am right alongside you, I am absolutely losing my mind at the Romance Glance Terra! That black devilish outfit is just *chefskiss*

 

I was originally only planning on getting two bodies during the event but wow the romance Taro and Terra! I'm kind of hoping Romance Taro can be purchased on the KDF45 boy body but I really don't need another head. I might just end up getting the outfits and wings though. They look so good!

 

Looks like last year's special skin colors also make return along with a new bronco color which Romance Taro is in the pictures, it's so pretty now would be perfect chance to grab a doll in Bronze since I regretted not doing so last year but I'm trying really hard to tell myself that I have more than enough dolls and don't need another one. That all kind of already flew out of window when they released pictures of the romance versions though, I really want to at least grab one of the heads. Too bad they can only be ordered in white and normal if bought separately, but on the other hand I guess it would be silly to order just the head in special color and not have a body to go with it anyway with no guarantee it'll be available again in that color. I'm still gonna hold back a little from ordering though since I need to see the possible model delfs too first before I make any final decisions.

 

Does anyone know where I can see the photos of the event skin tones?

If we look at the actual dolls then Devilish Taro is Bronco skin and devilish Terra has Terra Cotta skin. And last year's winter dolls had some of the others, I think there is a post in the notice board that contains pictures of each doll and they always list the color used in the details of each page.

Does anyone have a bronze doll by chance? I'd be interested to see what it looks like in owner pictures.

 

I also want to see a bronze doll. I have a hard time choosing between bronze and terra cotta. It will be really helpfull if there is an owner photo of bronze skin and terra cotta skin side by side.
I am going to buy KDF body. Can anyone recommend which one is better body? Kdf body type 1 or 3?

 

I might be considering putting in an order for Romance Taro, but I like the Model Delf body so I might try to do the MyChoice and get the Romance Taro head on the MDF body instead. I couldn’t find the measurements for the new KDF45 body which is why I am feeling reluctant to get her on that body.

 

This event is convincing me to take the plunge and order my first KDF! I really like the Kiwi Romance Version head.

As an aside, if I qualify for one of the event heads, can I request a faceup for it?

 

The measurements are listed in the body sales page but on the image only lutsdoll co.,ltd. .... And now that I look at them better they must have posted wrong size data there since it says she's 63.5 cm high with head. ^^; I'm sure there was a post with the correct measurements but of course I can't find it now. She is slightly taller than model delfs though since mdf is only 43cm tall.

 

I am in love with the new Kid45 Delf TERRA and considering ordering him, but most likely at the end of the event, since I recently bought Kid45 Delf AENGDU and Kid45 Delf CARMINE Romance ver.

Since I have been so busy, I did not get the chance to share that I placed an order on October 24th for a Kid45 Delf Girl (Limited Head Choice) BORY Romance on the Type 1 body in Real Skin White with face up! I'm so excited to have twins ('cause I own a BORY Romance Sweety).

I do want my BORY Romance to be a boy, so I also purchased a Kid45 Delf Boy Body in Real Skin White with the help of my sister (@Shougi), who purchased the Kid Delf CARMINE Romance ver. Head Limited in Real Skin White with face up. I'll be giving her my BORY's Type 1 body~

And, I absolutely love that Kid45 Delf TERRA Romance ver. DEVILISH Limited!!! But, I'm completely broke...
I just could not pass up on that BORY Romance that I have missed out on for as long as I can remember...

I love kid delf Terra romance so much. I am going to order him in bronze skin this December.
I am planning to make him into Ozymandias from Fate Grand Order.

 

I should be ordering a bronco taro in jan, though im still waiting on the rsb berry i ordered 5th september.

 

I’m wanting a Taro Romance in either the Bronco or Rosy bronze color. I can’t decide. I’m going to try and wait until January to order but might get inpatient and go ahead and order her this month. We shall see. She’s gorgeous. I’m just confused why she’s not being offered as a full set. Instead you have to order everything separately if you want to get her like the promo pics.

 

Ugh, I really like the Bronco skin; should I bump up my plans for a KD45 Muhwa so I can get her in that color?

Hard decisions.

 

I have been thinking for the past few days, which type of boy's body should I got.
Should I get type 1 or type 3 for classic body or should I pay extra cash for boy's body type 5?
Can anyone suggest what body type should I choose? Please give me some advice.
I am in a dilemma.

 

I guess there is two things to consider. Which one do you think looks best? Also like the general silhouette and what the joints look like.

Then there's the important question of what joints you like/need. Do you want double jointed knees or does that not really matter to you?

 

@Shien2 I own a Bory on a type 1 body, and I can only suggest you get one of the other two, lol. This body type is not ideal for posing and holding a pose unless you maybe suede, restring and wire it. I restrung mine recently and it's still quite...floppy. My boy can only hold his arms up in a certain position, which is very limiting. That's because this body doesn't have indents inside the shoulders unlike the other two bodies so the arms just flip flop around. Then again, sueding and wiring might help, but I've never done it so I can't confirm how effective that would be. Same with his legs. Unlike the other bodies, type 1's thighs aren't separated into two parts, which can make rotating the legs and fixing them in a certain position (like sitting on the floor) quite a challenge. From what I can see, type 3 body looks like it's fixed most of the problems that type 1 had, and personally I would have bought my first KDF on this body if that was an option back then. Type 3 and type 5 don't look much different in terms of posability, though, just a bit different aesthetically, so the choice is still yours. ^^

 

The most important thing for me is that he can pose, stand and sit stably. It doesn't really matter if his leg double jointed, but I prefer if his elbow is double jointed.

^ I have three different girl bodies and definitely prefer the newer ones (mine are type 7 pretty and type 6 lovely) with legs strung separately and since they have double jointed knees. Meanwhile my Ani has the older Romantic Body and her knees pop out of their socket every time I try handling her. I've restrung her and added hot glue sueding which both helped a little but she still has plenty of issues and definitely has the worst body what comes to handling out of my girls. Due that when I'll finally buy a boy I'll definitely go with the 'boy type 5' or 'boy type 2 (multi body)' because those two bodies have the legs strung separately from the rest of the body and double jointed knees while the other two don't. They're the more expensive ones but you're saving yourself from a lot of frustration for that price the kiddelf45 body is good too as far as posing goes but I personally don't like how tall and broad shouldered it is so I have model delf using it instead of one of my kids.

Ugh, I cannot decide if I want to spring for a Bronco Muhwa before the event ends or wait til later next year and get her in Brown like I originally planned...

For those who have owned dolls in RS Brown for a couple years, how does the color hold up? Does it go greenish or look strange as it ages?

I'm torn because it seems like every pic of RS Brown I see makes it look different, even in Luts' own photos.

 

I have a luts jamong romance in brown skin over 4 years and the color hold up. He has not turn greenish.

Would you say that many of the photos on the Luts site make the color look a lot more yellow than it is in real life? Like your boy looks much softer in color than this photo:



There's another photo which makes it look more like Bronco even, so it's just so confusing for me to know what each color actually looks like.

 

My brown KDF hasn't arrived yet but if I compare rosy brown and NS then I think this comparison looks way less red than in real life. But I must also say that is incredibly difficult to capture the reddish undertone on camera. My rosy brown MDF Ani looks very different on pictures compared to real life.

I've kinda been planning to shell one of my D&D characters for a few months. I wanted to get a KDF boy (Carmine or Diez) in bronze skin for him and I was going to order him together with a SDF65 shell head in January. And now that January has come I don't feel the need anymore . Like I still want him eventually but not now I guess. So I won't be able to share owner pictures of bronze skin . But I'd still be very interested in seeing them.

 

My current oldest Luts RSB is from around 2012/3 and my newest is from 2020. They still match perfect. Brown seems to hold its color well, as does light tan. The other original tan option, real skin tan, is the one that turns green. I have all 3 of those colors in fact and here's a recent picture (with indoor lighting).

So it seems that Luts has teased that a KDF45 centaur will be released sometime this year according to one of their latest tweets. I don't have plans on adding a centaur to my collection but I always love seeing them! Would be awesome if the release coincided with a fantasy color resin event

 

I hope this means more centaur/elf heads! Also looks like they're working on a new Model Delf body version. So many new bodies lately! Now if we could talk Luts into making a Baby Delf aesthetic doll but in the 80-90cm scale like those big Dollmore dolls. I love me some big beefy guys but I want a bigger baby too!

 

Oh lawd, a Luts centaur is one of the last 'must haves' on my wish list.

Heh, I keep hoping Luts would release just a tiny bit smaller and shorter, softer looking bodies (I just like small cute things) and they're constantly like "new body coming soon, it's even bigger than before!" But honestly, it'll be interesting to see both the new model delf body (and I'll be super angry if it's mostly just going to be taller since that would have been perfect for Varis who's supposed to be elf...) and the centaur body. Wonder if there'll be release event with the limited heads available again?

 

If they give me the ability to get a centaur in that lavender of theirs, I may just have a problem. Or a lavender horse bit with bubble mint skin? Ooooo....

Of course, I'd be very happy with regular skin as long as there are pretty elf heads...
