Luts Kid Delf Discussion part 16

My Kiwi arrived, and I'm really in love! Luts is such nice quality... I love the feel of the resin and all the little tabs in the joints to help hold poses. Overall I really like the Type 7 body... my own quibble is I wish her hands were more refined but that's just a personal preference. She's in RS Peach skin, which I also really like.

I got extra heart hands for her but I don't think I can change them alone -- she's strung pretty tightly.
Her heel feet were easier, but these resin ankle hooks are a new thing for me.

As my first Luts doll, she's an lovely first impression of their dolls.





Here she is in her current outfit. She's so dreamy.



I definitely want another Luts gal in the future... maybe a Muhwa in Brown or Light Tan.
I hope they do another centaur event soon, too.

Luts' Creative Director has shared a series of pictures of the new KDF45 girl body. One of them is a comparison between it and the type 6 body. Also looks like we may have a glimpse of what may be a new head



I really like the proportions on this body!

EDIT: Forgot to mention that they plan to release at the end of September!

 

oh that IS nice. It has the nice curve that the model delf body has but seems to be more slender. I'd love to see it alongside the model delf.

 

Oh, it looks like their hands are compatible with KDF body? If I can swap just some more elegant hands for my Kiwi that'd be perfect. I like the overall rest of the KDF proportions, but I'm such a nitpicker for hands.

 

She is amazing, I love Romance Kiwi as well. May I ask how long did it take for you to receive her?

 

I ordered her in June and she arrived this month. So about 4 months.

Anyone here paid the extra to get makeup tweaks for a default faceup? If so, I'd love to see pics!

I would really like a Muhwa with more color in her lips, and am debating whether I should pay for Luts to just edit her faceup or get her blank and get a custom one.

Found out the hard way that not all kid delf heads fit on model delf bodies.
Apparently some of the KD heads have significantly smaller neck holes and I hadn't realized. So I have to mod a model delf neck now to fit my Berry. (Fun fact: this is my ONLY kid delf head that doesn't fit a model delf neck. Aka the one head I needed to fit. All the others fit fine but this body isn't for them.) Currently his head can only rest atop the neck and it's pretty obvious.

 

Looks like the new kiddelf45 body will be available tomorrow, along with the new Carmine and Loe heads those are already listed under the kiddelf45 section.

 

Maybe it would be easier to mod the head? Also easier to fix a head mod than a neck mod should you want to put him back on a KDF body some day, and that leaves the neck unmodded to fit your other KDF heads should it strike you to do so.

 

Thanks for letting us know . I've been anxiously waiting for her release date. Let's hope they'll give us a nice initial discount .

Loe looks super cute as well. But I should be reasonable and only get a body for a floating Aengdu head.

 

Foolish question... but Loe will fit just fine on a regular KDF body, right? I don’t need such a tall KDF45 body in my crew!

 

I assume so. At least they show some promo pictures of Aengdu on a KDF45 body and she was released on a regular KDF body. She looks fine and not too different from Loe proportionwise.

 

I'm really tempted to get a Muhwa on the new body... I really like it!
I'm torn between that combo or a Ttori on a regular KDF body for my next Luts doll.... decisions!

True. In that case I would be worried of messing up the faceup unfortunately (I'm not very well experienced at that sort of modding). This faceup is a limited Luts one from the Moonlit Song release and I'd be so worried of damaging it.

 

Omg I was so happy when I was told this morning that you can get all the limited KDF heads as an option. So I guess now is the perfect time to snatch up the KDF releases we missed out on.

Light tan and tan do not seem to be available yet though. But brown is .

 

I just wish they had a good picture of all the limited heads like they do for the basic heads.

Want the body for my Winter 2020 head, but don't really need an extra floating head along with it...maybe I'll try to do a split or something. I don't know yet.

 

If they had romantic diez available, I'd jump at buying one. Right now, I don't know, maybe lolly...

 

I'm in the opposite situation, I'd love to order Kale or Romance-sweety Bory head now that they're momentarily available again but I don't want this particular body. I mean the body is gorgeous don't get me wrong, I'd just rather have it with a model delf head than a kid one. ^^;

I still hope that Luts will one day come up with genderless kid body like their Muse body is, I'd jump on that immediately.

 

ttori is extremely ridiculously cute but Muhwa has an awesome nose. I'm tempted by a boy muhwa. I love the nose on that dang doll lol. I have a ttori here, on the old type er... 1 body? Every time I think about rehoming him he gives me a look and I go "d''awwww okay you can stay" lol.

I love the new 45 girl body, it really does look like the model delf body but more slender maybe? I'd love to see them side by side. I agree, one of the more mature model heads could look really good on it. I find they often look a little pinheaded on the model delf bodies themselves, but that may be because i'm more accustomed to the big ol' noggins of MSD.

I went and had a look. Luts have images of most of the blank event heads but they're something you have to search for. Wish they had them all on the page.

But I have a question.

Looking up Maska I can only find Hades Maska. It states "maska romance" is the human head, so does that mean the regular Maska head is the elf head? lutsdoll co.,ltd. Or is there a human version as well?
I'm very confused! - Edit - Found the human version! It took a bit of searching Luts site.

ooo it's a lot taller isn't it? More slender arms and legs than the mdf but definitely similar in torso. I like it. I also love the mdf body so... heh.

 

It is 2021 now, how bad are the seam lines on Luts dolls? Can anyone send a pic for reference? Thanks in advance!

 

I don't see any on my gal; she's in RS Peach skin and made this year.

 

Of my newer Luts, only my 2019 Luts Brown has them. My 2019 and 2020 WS doesn't. Tans are known to have more seam lines from any company though.

Not a KDF, but my late 2019ish NS ZDF has very faint seam lines, so much that there’s not a real texture difference and I can’t capture it in photos. I didn’t even notice them until recently inspecting all my dolls post-move for damage. I haven’t seen much mention of seams in general for Luts, especially in light resins.

 

Since they likely start posting teasers for the winter event soon, what are your guesses/wishes?

I hope they go all out like last year offering dolls in pretty much all sizes and I'd die for kid Bliss, I just think s/he would be extremely cute as kid sized doll. For the event head(s) I wonder if they'll rehash some older one (like last year was remake of winter 2010 head) or if they'll come up with a new one. If it's sculpted by SEJEL my wallet is in serious danger ^^;;;

 

Oh, gosh. A kid version of Clary would be awesome. Or more elves would be nice.

I have a kid delf centaur that is desperately in need of a good fantasy head (currently she has an event head) so here's hoping for long elf ears for her!

Also wanted to show off this dress I found at an antique store. I had no idea if it would fit anyone but was pleasantly surprised that it fits my Kid Delf body. Would love to find the doll line it was made for originally. Store tag only said 'antique 16" doll dress'.

 

Oh, man! I do not have a vampire in this size range.... I need to fix that some day...

Hnng! I've been stalking Luts' Twitters daily for the winter event teasers and today they finally posted the first teaser; kid delf Terra & Taro! Terra is one of my favorite sculpts so I'm excited about the child version of him

 

OMG they look so adorable. I really love them both .

 

Ahh KDF Terra is super cute, I love the SD65 version and the KDF version is so cute

 

Both Terra and Taro are really cute! Since lately they've been scaling larger sculpts down to KDF, I hope we get KDF versions of other dolls, like Kathy and Chloe, too. But then I think my wallet would really be in trouble.

Exciting that the winter event teasers are starting! I like that they are scaling different sculpts to fit in to other lines. I was honestly kinda hoping for them to scale some baby delf heads to kid delf size. Pansy and Lily in particular I think would be very cute as kid delfs.

 

The event (kid) head will be Duri which I'm actually kind of glad about since it means I won't have to add extra stuff to the order just to get it if I'm only ordering Terra. Now that kids are probably all revealed for this round I wonder how the hopefully upcoming model delfs look like since they'll likely have some interesting event limited special heads? :3

 

I need some bodies so hopefully i can order during the event to get the head

 

Looks like we're not done with kids yet after all, Terra & Taro both get romantic version too. Nice also this devil theme they have going? Very nice, I hope it continues to the rest of the event dolls too.

 

Well, looks like luts will be getting my money again.
