I don't think the brown skins are back Only the Fantasy ones. Grey, Mint Grey, Bubble Mint, Strawberry Pink, Lavender, and Milky Orange are on the table.

Oh, I see! I kinda missed that part, hehe But I've been looking at Terra Cotta dolls lately, and they look amazing. I'm sure Luts are going to release those colours again in the future! Maybe next winter event? Who knows!

 

My 2020 Winter Event Kid Delf Head's body finally arrived yesterday! (My longest wait from LUTS yet...)

Hey all, I've finally succumbed to the KDF temptation... I'd been eyeing a few sculpts and settled on Kiwi as my first Luts doll (and first non-fantasy sculpt MSD)! I'm looking forward to seeing her in person; I'm really enamored with her facial expression in the site photos... anyone else here have a Kiwi to share? :3

...I'd also like to get a Muhwa eventually too; it was a tie between the two of them and Kiwi won being my first by just a smidge!

Also, what are Luts' turnaround times like? Are they pretty consistent?
Also-also, what does 'Renewal' mean on their site? Are they changing up default faceup options on certain dolls or something?

 

@RinSetsua, The renewal is just a freshening up of Faceup and product photos. The sculpts don't change! They choose a few of them to freshen up now and then and generally offer discounts for a short time on those dolls.

@Snow White I’m so jealous! I fell in love with the KDF 2020 winter event head but was kinda broke at the time. I was hoping to find her in the MP but the only ones I’ve seen didn’t have the faceup. I love your boy!

And, thank you! I had planned on making him a girl, but when he arrived, he looked like a feminine boy~ So, another boy joined my doll family~ I definitely need more girls~

Dropping picture of my winterevent2020 head now that I got it painted, I'm more and more unsure of their gender but they're cute and since I have amazing ability to name my dolls I'm calling them 'Winter'

Not all of my dolls have faceups yet and she's the one with the biggest wardrobe so she's my main photo model .

 

Looks like Luts' weibo page has picture of the upcoming new kid delf Olive already.

 

Ooooh thank you . She's adorable. But I heard about that female SDF 65 body so I gotta be strong . But let's see if I really manage to resist. My track record isn't exactly great when it comes to resisting cute mini dolls .

Hello everyone, just wondering if the kid45 head is bigger than the kid delf head? Or is that the same head? Anyone have pics of them side by side?

 

The kid45 body can use any kdelf head - is there a particular one you’re asking about? There is some size differences among the kdelf heads but most will still wear the same size wigs.

 

I was looking at Kid45 Romance Diez and trying to see if that head size was different from a regular Kid Delf.

She was my very first doll and I've had her for about 7 years now!

I was actually very afraid of changing her look, I thought she look completely different. But I think she looks like herself (but better lol)

Thanks for that info. I was just curious, because I wanted to get the KDF45 Romance Diez head on a lovely girl body, but I decided to get a regular KDF Diez with the lovely body and the KDF45 Romance Diez head as an extra head. I saw a post that the model delf head was super small, so I was not sure if the KDF45 head was bigger since its a bigger body. So I am good now, Thanks!

 

There's a size comparison between the model Diez and Kid Diez in the Kid Delf 45 page, at the almost bottom. The model delf head is a lot smaller than kid one, the difference gets even worse with older heads though, My Ani has downright giant head compared to the two model delfs I have. I can snap a picture of them to show the difference if you (or anybody else) want(s)?

 

Really? And I thought my MDF Ani had a small head . Then I guess other MDFs might not fit in with my collection at all.

 

Ah sorry I wasn't clear; I only have kid Ani so I don't know how big/small the model delf version is.

It seems that the older the head sculpt is the bigger they are though, I have Mdf Avalanche and compared to my werewolf Terra his head is much bigger, I posted comparison picture to model delf discussion some time ago.... here (hopefully the link works)

 

Ahhh now that makes more sense. And thank you for the link. That is very helpful. I am tempted to get another MDF in the future so my Ani has some company.

Yesterday Aengdu finally made it home to me. I got her from Dolk Nagoya. They refused to ship her (even withing Japan) so it was bit of a hassle to find someone who was able to go pick her up at their store. But at long last she's here .


And I took some pictures together with Elodie (KDF Kale) as well because they were released together .

@digi Thanks for that resource! I see a Bory Sweety on the KDF body, which does look bigger than the Diez head on a KDF45 body. Maybe that is because Diez and Bory are different sculpts, so they are different sizes too and there isn’t a difference at all in a KDF or a KDF45 head. I’m just glad that it looks like it’s not too majorly different and they would fit with either type body. The MDF head is way smaller than both.

@A Wee Tiefling I already made the purchase of the KDF45 Romance Diez head as an extra head, so I will be able to see it in person. Thanks for offering!

 

There is no head that is specifically “kid45” - only the body is a different type. I don’t know why Luts has it labeled as “Kid45” in the head description like it’s something specific to that body but it’s not. If you go to buy the Kid45 body on Luts’ website you can choose from any kdelf head to go on it. There IS some variance in sizing among the kdelf heads (for example my Basil head is bigger than my Bory’s) but it’s not significant enough to make it majorly stand out in a group of other kdelfs. I have a Kale which was a limited sculpt that was advertised on the Kid45 body but I could have bought him on any of their msd sized bodies and his head isn’t a different size - it still uses a 7/8 wig. He does use 14mm eyes but several of Luts’ newer sculpts use 14 instead of the traditional 16. If you look at laquaza’s post her Kale is on one of the kdelf bodies. The Bory Sweety head you saw likely isn’t the exact same size as the Diez but they’re still both kdelf heads.

Luts’ model delf series DOES have a significantly smaller sized head - small enough to use smaller wigs and eyes. You can still put a kdelf head on an mdelf body (and vice versa) but you have to get a different S hook. Mdelfs use a different sized hook from kdelfs.

I hope I’m not confusing you further. The tldr version is: your romance Diez won’t look hugely different from your regular (kdelf) Diez since they’re both the same type of head. There may be a slight size difference but not enough to look odd.

edit: Here’s a couple pictures I took of three kdelf heads this afternoon:

It’s a Basil, a Bory and a Kale. The Kale was released with the Kid45 body but the Bory head is actually a bit smaller. Both are smaller than Basil.

 

I also find that my Aru is SO much bigger than my Cherry, not mention my Kale. It really varies unfortunately

 

Yeah. There is not consistency with KDF head sizes. I ended up parting with my Maska as he was such a peanut head next to my Ttori girl. Now I am doomed to only get the ones with big noggins.

Does anyone have the newest girl body? The pretty ver.? I’m trying to see the difference between that one and lovely body. (Besides the chest piece)

 

I ordered it but it'll be at least month/two more until I'll actually get it supposing Luts is able to keep their usual speed and it doesn't take even longer. I'm pretty sure the difference is just the chest size though, I spent good while comparing the pictures of the two too. Once it arrives and if no one else has gotten it before then I can take some comparison shots though, Lovely body is the one Madeleine has.

 

I agree the only difference is the chest. All other measurements are the same and they don’t look different in promo pictures except for the chest size. The type 6 body is very nice so I’m glad there’s a smaller chest version. I’ll probably get it on my next Luts girl.

 

Does anyone have any Yeonu spam? I've always loved him and I'm wondering if I should go crazy and order one in one of the new limited skins!

my newer girl matches with bimong narae40 NS

 

Oh my gosh...I love everything about her faceup, but the lower eyelashes on this girl are FABULOUS!! And those tiny piercings!!

I admit the more mature vibe of this body is really nice.

I ordered a kdf berry girl in brown skin yesterday, pretty excited. She will be my 7th kdf. I want to get berry in normal skin at some point too so they can be twins.
