And thank you! I really need to get some nice pictures of the two of them in some natural lighting. Hopefully early next week will be nice weather and I can take my three Luts fun resin boys out into the yard for some photo ops.

I actually ended up with a completely different wig for him, which is slightly less fluffy, but ended up matching his eyebrows perfectly!



I really, really need to use my real camera for some pics and not my phone's potato cam.

 

It's so wonderful to see dolls in the Terra Cotta colour!!!! I hope other colours show up too!!!

I haven't been playing with dolls lately because I got a cat and I'm now hiding my dolls in the closet from my new cat who can open door.

@asatou Thank you. I found it on eBay. Seller is Goodboyyer-6. And your poor dollies! I had one cat who decided to chew on my dolls. I have one Dollshe with chewed up hands thanks to him. After that I made sure to keep them out of reach.

Thanks! I've actually gotten into jewelry making for dolls lately, so I made it myself! I was sick of getting stuff that didn't fit quite right or not in the colors I want, so I figured I'd do it myself, haha. Eventually I'd like to make my own store, but I want to figure out what kind of things to make!

 

I sure hope you aren't getting tired of my Elodie (KDF Kale) yet . We took a nice long walk yesterday and I just had to take some pictures because the place was simply beautiful.

 

@laquaza Your Elodie is just pure love. There is such a quiet and stately elegance about her, especially with those smaller eyes. She’s gorgeous! May I ask what skin color she is?

I love how Luts has such a nice range of skin colors available . Eventually I would like to get one in light tan as well. At the moment I am waiting for a MDF Ani in rosy brown.

 

Not sure how I completely missed this post until now but oh nooo, I have so many regrets for not getting my Madeleine with the default makeup, yours is absolutely gorgeous and so cute ♥

 

So after a few years I finally got my hands on the Moonlit Song Yul female fullset outfit! This is on my KD centaur Yul head who is currently on a Model Delf body. (Most of the dolls around her are KD.) Next up I'm on the hunt for the saddle clothing pieces that are for to the centaur body for this set. It's such a beautiful outfit!

 

Oh wow that outfit is really unique and fits well with the head accessory horns. I remember there was that KDF Bory centaur version outfit that I really like too but probably impossible to get now haha

I just received my jointed resin wings from LUTS and I am seriously struggling with how to attach them to the doll.

My boy is a KDF Kale who is the one shown in the wings promo pictures and I have just no idea how they got them to stick on his back. The wings themselves feature three round magnets spaced in a triangle and I was given three identical ones separately. They seem pretty strong but through a whole torso casing of resin they just won't stick. They rather stick to each other instead, even after I tried to fixate them by encasing them in some fabric.

Does anyone have any experience with LUTS' resin wings and knows how to not do it the wrong way?

 

I think you need to attach them on the outside of the doll with removable tabe.

 

Ah yeah, that might work better! even though the unsightly tape makes it a bit imperfect but as long as I display him facing front it shouldn't be a problem.

 

You can hide the tape under his clothes.
Also I've never tried it as I haven't gotten any extra parts so far. But I was seriously tempted by these wings you got. As a newbie the price point scared me off .

 

The problem is, that the Leggiero Set has an open back because it was made to feature the wings! XD

If I'm honest, I am a bit disappointed in the wings. I got them with the rainbow-airbrushing and paid quite a sum. While the color and the sculpt are both beautiful, some of the paint was already chipping the second I unwrapped them (very carefully) and the articulation is kinda obsolete. It can't do much and only produces more possible paint chipping spots. That combined with the fact that there is no perfect easy way of attaching them... not even a guide, neither in the package nor anywhere on their website. Leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

 

Reading all of this makes me kinda glad I couldn't get the Leggiero set because I ordered my Kale at the end of their summer event when it was already sold out. I've never noticed the open back before. I might have enough regrets because I didn't get Aengdu but at least I can put my regrets on not getting the wings and the Leggiero to rest .

But I am sorry to hear the wings aren't that great. Can you repaint them?

 

The Leggiero Set itself is beautiful, I have both, the male and the female one. I never thought about why the back might be free until I got the wings! XD before that it was just a beautiful dress with an open back. Actually pretty elegant.

The wings are fine for now, as I said, the paint job itself is very nice. I might repaint them some day, maybe in a few years when I either get bored by their look or the paint wore of to much. But for now, I will keep them as they are.

Just dropping in, it's been a while since I've posted in DoA and I'm not even sure I've posted in this discussion before...maybe I did I don't remember. Anyway just here to check out everyone's pictures of there beautiful dolls. When I get time I might get a photo together of all my KDF Luts dolls in one photo, that will be quite the chore with all the centaurs...hmm maybe my other dolls can just ride on their backs..lol.

 

I never posted my newest boy, Nullum, an elf Berry. He's on a black centaur body but I have to fix a crack on it before I can get him all together.

Hi! I'm joining this thread with a Luts KDF Sweety Basil, who I've named Amira. She's in real skin brown and on the Type 5 Romantic Body.

 

@ViperOrchid Awww...your Amira is so sweet! The Sweety Basil is such a cute sculpt and I’ve always loved the Luts Realskin Brown. It’s such a lovely and natural shade.

 

@PoeticSoul Thank you! I really like the Realskin Brown, too. This is only my first doll from Luts, but now I'm already eyeballing more of their Kid Delfs!

 

Bryant has gone goth, because apparently I can't commit to an aesthetic. XD

 

@Magnus Vale Wow! I must say Bryant looks utterly amazing in goth! One of the most wonderful things about the Kid Delfs is how well they translate into different styles, and you’ve certainly taken full advantage of that. Those ears are pure love!

 

Thank you! I've been redoing a lot of my old face ups lately since I got better brushes and a bit more skill, and I decided that I really wanted to try something new with him! The Kid Delf sculpts really are super versatile.
Also, I just got the ears delivered yesterday, and wanted to use them for him. I wasn't quite happy with the ones from Resinsoul, the sculpting is lovely, but the color I got just wasn't working out. Maybe I'll repaint them at some point.

 

I swear, 90% of it is me finding a brush that can do fine lines and wanting to redo everyone's lip lines, eyelashes and brows. I'm like an overexcited puppy on this, I've redone about four face ups now. I'm running around the apartment now, holding a nail art brush above my head like some bizarre trophy.

And I love the ears too! I got them from 9AM Flower, I believe, they ended up looking super good on Bry!

My girl's got a new wig and she looks absolutely adorable in it!
I also want to try and redo her face-up myself once I get all the necessary stuff for that. Oh boy. My first attempt at face-ups back in 2013 went all wrong but I'm hoping this time I'll have better luck with that

Is anybody planning on ordering romance!Diez or someone else in the summer event colors? My heart desires for a gray doll, but I have no idea who I'd get.

I'm also wondering if, like during the winter event, they'll add more dolls after few weeks? Diez isn't for me so I was a little disappointed he was the only event kid doll and there are no model delfs at all since they're the only sizes I'm interested in.

Edited to add; also now that I'm here, here's also picture of my Romance!Madeleine, finally found time to paint her face


She was going to be some sort of princess of the moon/magical girl/mermaid but I don't have anything suitable for her to wear for that so this is the look she ended up with instead. Might still one day get her a lovely dress to wear though.

 

This years event dolls aren't for me either. But I guess that's better for my bank account . Though if parts become available again I might have to finally get some extra hands and heel feet for my tan Kale.

She's stunning. I love her unique look . You did a great job on her face up.

 

Thank god they didn't release Diez in a Senior65 size! I'm so broke, and that's the only doll I really want from Luts rn.

Heheh the only doll from Luts I'd like right now would be kid version of Bliss, I think s/he would be absolutely darling. I actually thought my wish was coming true when they released the teaser image of what turned out to be Diez so that really made me more salty over the event dolls than I probably would have been otherwise. I'd grab Kale too if they re-released him though. Oh and I desperately want to buy a body for my Terra or winter event head but as they're not selling them at the moment that's on hold. :/

I don't think I'm interested in any of limited sculpts or colors. But if they ever re-release terra cotta or rosy brown, my wallet may be in danger. I'd love an Annamarie in one of those colors.

 

I've been inactive in the hobby for probably around 5 years with periodic pop ins here but a few months ago, I made the decision to jump back in. I'd been waiting to see what Luts would be offering with this summer event and WOW at these gorgeous fantasy resin colors!! I have my eye on buying a Kid Delf Kiwi in Strawberry Pink but I'm hesitant since the extra hands and heeled feet are still unavailable. I see on their twitter that they are releasing a new Kid Delf and 4 new Model Delfs for the second part of the event so I may hold off on ordering to see what those new additions look like~
