Luts Honey Delf Discussion part 4

Never heard of kukuclara before but this blog seems to list measurements for comparison. They seem really skinny.

 

they do have a funny body shape (I was surprised when I looked at pictures). saying that, their hips are a lot wider than their waist, which may mean things like dresses fit, but I have no idea why they would be listed as potential fitting clothes otherwise.
Also, I think their body size might be a slightly taller version of RealFee sized dolls.

And the more I research simular sized doll bodies the more I'm sealing my doom to buy 1 I think

I just received my first doll this week, a HDF Madeleine, and I'm smitten. They're so adorable!

Dami is perfect ^.^ I wish my partner helped me name my dolls... whenever I ask I get the same answer... 'Bob'... everything should be called Bob. I ask him to help me name chickens in a game I play and he's like 'Bob', I'm like, there's already a chicken called Bob!... 'BobTWO'!

 

@Mushoom Aww, that's a shame! My wife likes naming things and I'm bad at it, so I usually leave that sort of stuff to her. I'm sure she'll name all of my future dolls too

I'm seeing that all the option parts/Honey Delf bodies are out of stock... does anyone know what that's about?

It could be temporary. Discontinuation sale, BJDP26, head sale, and parts and make up notices. Not all in the same notice. Parts notice was Jan 24, on their website.

 

Dose anyone who has the Honey Delf type 5 body what size of furniture is best in scale with them?

I just ordered a Honey Delf Kai in real normal skin.

 

As much as I swore that six dolls are enough, I couldn't get over the cuteness of Honey Delf Ani . I am now torn between Honey Delf Ani and Fairyland Littlefee Dark Elf Soo as my second tiny because because both match the baby fox character I have in mind. . If looking at their molds without considering make-up and clothes, which among them looks more child-like?

Ani feels younger, but Soo seems more fox-like.

I have three LTF DESs, and I do want Ani too!

 

Thanks! That is why I'm so torn between these two: LTF DES is more fox-like but there seemed to be a mature air about her unlike HDF Ani. In Ani's case, she has the eye shape I love (like LTF DES), and indeed feels younger.

I'm almost convinced that Ani and Dark Elf Soo are siblings based on their sculpt.

 

I agree. Ani feels younger but Soo is more foxlike. I guess it depends on which fox features are more important to you. Like, if the character's going to have big fox ears and a tail, then Ani would work. But if you want it to pass as a human child but still have unsettling foxlike characteristics, then Soo would be best.

 

Hi there due to a sculpt im interested in being in the discontinuation list i'm thinking of getting a honey delf - what is the differences between the multi body and the type 5 body?
I looked at the comparison pictures but it just looks slightly more chunky.

I wrote to LUTS about having options for the HDF sculpts to be purchasable on the 31 (or 21) bodies, so they added a link for it here. (Though it seems like the 21 option is currently broken atm, it's labeled -40,000 dollars... haha... I can imagine they are probably very stressed and busy right now... Hopefully that'll get sorted quickly for those who wanted that. )

 

Hi, I wanted to ask a question. I tried to post it in the right thread, but it wouldn't let me, I suppose because the post was closed.
The question is: I'd like to know how well the Luts Type 3 Honey Delf body performs in poses. My question focuses mainly on the seated pose; the website doesn't make it clear.
I have the standard version of the body, from 2011.

 

Hi everyone! With the discontinuation I’m picking up a honey delf Brownie in tan! I’ve always liked the sculpts sleepy face but it was always a ‘maybe later’ purchase, and I guess later is now haha! I hope everyone’s able to get their must have sculpts!

 

I ordered a Gabriel in bronco and a Raphael head in white! I absolutely love the Custom House Petit Ai and Ange AI sculpts, but I only joined the hobby this year, so missed CH actually being around. There are a few other sculpts (including non-CH sculpts) I wouldn't mind having, but I feel good with just getting those two.

 

I'm planning to order something similar haha! Looking at a Uriel in bronco and Yuriel head in white. I've been in the hobby for a long time, and there's a part of me that feels sad about most of the CH sculpts being discontinued. There's so much nostalgia associated with these older dolls

 

Great minds! I was looking at Yuriel (so pretty!), too, but decided to go with Raphael in the end. Bronco looks like such a pretty color. I bet Uriel will look amazing in it!

I'm sad I wasn't around for CH sculpts back in the day, but I'm glad I can at least get a couple of them now. And possibly grab a secondhand of one of the sculpts someday, haha.

 

Both Gabriel and Raphael are so cute; I was heavily considering Raphael for that adorable smile, but ended up going with Yuriel. I'm excited that you're getting those two so hopefully there will be photos of them shared in this thread!

I'm looking forward to seeing bronco skin IRL; admittedly, another consideration is that in the future, it may be easier to hunt down these sculpts in NS or WS, but these 'special' skin tones may be near impossible to find.

To this day, I regret missing out on some of the discontinued dolls or defunct companies. It was easy to take them for granted and assume that they'll always be around, especially the popular companies. I'm thankful Luts picked up the CH sculpts and also that they announced the discontinuation to give folks a chance before the sculpts disappear forever.

 

Looking forward to seeing you Uriel and Yuriel pictures, too! Raphael's smile was definitely what tipped the scales to me getting her. I love Uriel's cheeks and how soft Yuriel looks, though. If only I was independently wealthy so I could get them all, lol.

I'm excited to see it in person, too! The fact that it will be easier to find WS and NS secondhand in the future was definitely what made me want something different while we can still get it.

Yeah, I've been in the hobby less than a year, but have fallen in love with both Custom House and Rosenlied. Life is hard, haha. I'm glad it looks like Luts will still have Hanael around, but it's definitely sad to be losing all the others. Very glad they're giving everyone a chance to grab them while they can!

 

Has anyone had trouble looking for clothing for the Honey Delf type 5 body? I hear type 3 has no problems and fits into pretty much anything, but was curious if that's the case for type 5 too.
