Luts Honey Delf Discussion part 4

@dxgirly I did order during the event directly from LUTS. I don’t remember the exact day. But, LUTS didn’t send an email or anything. She just... arrived. That’s not normal for them.

I do think dealers take a little longer because their orders are going to be bigger and they also have to unpack them. It saves you on shipping though and they have payment plans. I’m sure everything is fine and I hope you get yours soon.

 

@brightberry She's so cute! Is she on the HD31 body? She seems so slender!

@dxgirly I got my girl through BJDivas and she arrived in a timely manner considering. But BJDiva's proprietor is also severely behind due to COVID-19 so maybe just have some extra patience? They posted last month that they are clearing their email backlog but things are not yet business as usual.

 

@A Wee Tiefling Thank you! Yes, she is on the HD31 body. I was kind of surprised by how slender & tallish she is. I think it's great and very poseable. I'm so happy I got her. Ubwrapping her, I thought she might be as tall as a minifee... but it was a trick of the mind. They aren't very close in height.

I’ve ordered extra hands a couple times and the best answer I can give you is to ask LUTS. They are usually very good at answering their message boards.

 

They have a notice posted about sales of those items: lutsdoll co.,ltd.

@Snow White JOIN US! DON'T DENY YOUR INNER BORY FAN! They're like potato chips...having one is inconceivable. I have been loving the joints on my Camille! She poses so well, and she fits a lot of adorable Barbie outfits (not all, but some). I hope to find her shoes soon, and a fall outfit. I wish I'd got more than one doll in fantasy skin though...maybe an HDF Ani or Darae in pink and purple. I can't believe how much I enjoy littles, considering I originally wanted to stick to MSD and bigger.

@Iri_Nes Is that the brown skin colour? And does the body type 5 poses better than the type 3? Or do you like the aesthetics more?

 

She is indeed real skin brown. I don't own a type 3 one, but i love the way she poses. And yes, i prefer the aesthetics of type 5 more than type 3 too :-)

I know this is an extreme longshot but does anyone have a Honey Delf Tarte in Real Skin Brown? I'd love to see user pictures of any skin tone as well.

The more I stare and play with @Iri_Nes Lolly the more I love the sculpting on these lovely little ones. I am already saving up.

 

After receiving my Lolly i was so in love that i started thinking/considering buying another one... Say a twin sister ^^

Well, today Lolly-2 arrived, also real skin brown but type 3 body. So, not sure if you have specific questions about the two bodies but we will try to compare posing ^^

One thing I was wondering, how is the mobility of the head, hands and feet compared to each body? Especially curious about the head movement because of the increased neck girth.

 

Mobility of the head seems the same to me; though Lolly (body 5) came with a specific tiny transparent ring between neck/head. Lolly with the body 3 does not have this ring (she's adopted though, so maybe that part got lost).
The hands of type 3 are different and more easy to pose. Type5 only goes around 45 degrees (angle), type 3 can go 'bit' further. Type5 hands: i can make them click so they stay put in that specific pose (similar to the final reach of type3, but i think i just block the joint somehow by clicking it out of the wristjoint. I will look into that, probably this weekend.
The feet (mobility) seems equal to me, at first sight :-)
Overall: both excellent to pose (however i do feel like my Lolly with body 5 is overstrung. Sideway movement of the legs (spreading) is not possible, not even a bit.
I prefer nr5 due to the weight & heavy feel of the doll.

Quoting my own post! I bought a Honey Delf Pretzel from a third party seller in the US. Is there a page that says what clothes will fit her? I was considering some LittleFee items...

 

Littlefee items should fit your little darling depending on what kind of body she is on. Really tight fits might be a close call on the type 5 body but so far everything 1/6th sized in the house seems to fit the girls owned by @Iri_Nes. They're so adorable too.

@LadyBossy In case you read this and still own little Tarte and Millefeuille I'd love to see some more eye level photos of them as well as some profile shots. I'm finding it so hard to pick a sculpt.

I have a type 3 body on my HDF and she has fit all my Soom tiny's hand-me-downs just fine, but I hope to get a type 5 body HDF someday too! One thing I like about dolls this size is that they seem to be a little easier to dress than more mature dolls with curvier shapes.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

So I noticed whilst browsing for a Honey Delf to use as a replacement shell for a character, that Luts does Jointed Hands for this size. I thought this would be VERY cool to have but I'm unsure about a few things.

Does anyone know how difficult these are to attach to the body? I've never taken off the hands of any doll before (just the head), would I need a proper tool to help me change the hands? Would I need to string the elastic into each finger myself?

And all that being said, are the jointed hands from Luts good i.e. do they move and pose as well as in the company photos and look ok on the doll?

I can only speculate and tell you what I know from other jointed hands.

To attach them, you'll probably want a hemostat to hold the elastic in place when you detach the original hands (which is hooked on) and hook on the jointed hands.

To my knowledge, the fingers are internally jointed already and do not need to be strung. (In fact, it's apparently super hard to do.)

Not sure about the quality of Luts hands!

I recently got a Lolly in RSB but she's super old and is on a body that doesn't pose for crap. I'll probably have to suede her cos restringing did not do the trick.

 

Painted my Tyltyl today. She took nearly a year to get to me, and I honestly wasn’t sure if I still wanted her, but after giving her a faceup, I’m really in love with her. She’s such a cutie. Decided to name her Mabel.

Is she on a Luts body? My Honey delf is pretty old and needs to be restrung. I think I'm going to give her some TLC this summer -- maybe dye her back to a reasonably human color, which means redoing her faceup and reviewing her eyes, wigs, and mobility. I'm adding another yosd sized kiddo to my gang soon and she should be presentable to meet him.

 

Yea she's on one of the first or second generation bodies where the only body joint is at the waist. She's been restrung but I think it's just how that body was made.

I'm kind of scared to post, as I'm not good talking with people, but I wanted to share my Honey Delf Uriel with you. I got her a while ago, and she stayed in her box for over a year.

Can you help me name her? I'm thinking on some gender neutral name like Robin or Morgan, but I can't decide.

Uriel is one of the sculpts they bought from Customhouse. I have a Customhouse Yuriel, which was kind of a sister sculpt to Uriel. They're very similar, but Yuriel has a sweet little smile. Mine is a boy, though.
