Luts Delf Discussion

I have my El boy on a Domuya flexi body, and while the shoulder width is 13cm, because he's a little taller at 64cm, he seems to be a little better proportionally to me. I think it looks lovely.

 

I am love love love love loving all of this spam. I haven't posted in a while because Tesla is still just a head (albeit with a faceup now at least).

I want to get his body so bad... but with the prices just going up it's post-poned me even more. Oh well... In the mean time I've been wig shopping... what you're fave wig company for your delfs? I'm looking for long, sleek, pretty-boy hair! ^_^

 

I like wigs from LUTS and Leekeworld. I have only had wigs from these two places - had one from Coolcat for half a day and decided I wasn't going to keep it. My EL has long sleek pretty boy hair (check out his latest gallery shot) and that wig is from Leeke. It is thicker than his LUTS one, and longer, but similar in color. I am very much in love with both company wigs anyhow =) But it frustrates me that sometimes LUTS does not have all colors for each wig style.

 

Razaera: I just got my first Leeke wig for another doll and I REALLY like it. It's heavy curls, so I'm still trying to figure out how to smooth down the fly-aways. Do you find you have this problem with your straight leeke wigs?

My leeke wig was second-hand, though the seller said it was brand new. I did notice that there were some fly-aways especially at the top, which I suspect was the case because it was so thick there anyway. I plucked out some and trimmed others over a couple of days and it is a lot better now. I use the dollmore wig conditioner from time to time too and it is REALLY smooth. His hair always gets stroked a lot at meets. xD

^^;; Oh, that was months ago though. ^^;; It is from LUTS... I am not remembering the wig make number right now very well. >.< But it is black color, not natural black. =3 It is still not really jet black I daresay.

i ordered a souldoll body for mine. i know souldoll fits pretty well with newer luts resin but i dont know about 05....
the shoulder-width is not written on the site though but the body is a bit taller. and the head doesnt look bubbleheaded on Delf body in my opinion ^^

It's nice to have so many suggestions for bodies. I shall go check them out... when my finances recover. =_=

That's why I like the Domuya flexi body also, it's fairly cheap as far as bodies go ^^; And it has a chest joint and is double jointed, which is what I wanted.

I'v got a bw nanuri 07 head without a body. I don't want to get him a delf body from luts - so which comapny & which body do u guys recommend for my bw nanuri 07 head? ^^

Yeah, comparing my Kid Delf, albeit she is a little older, and my Delf head, there is a massive difference, even though they're NS, I'm guessing WS would be just as different.

Im going to sell my delf el head, but Im not sure about the price..
The head is new & recently got a new face-up.

Are 90USD too much or too little ? ( I paid 40USD for the face-up )

Actually, for a new head with a faceup, $90 is a really good price. A new head from Luts is around $90, and that doesn't include a faceup.

 

I agree with Stormlight, it IS a really cheap price, especially if you're selling it in the hopes of the monies going towards another Resinoids. Personally, if I was you, since you spent $40 for a faceup, I'd add at least another $20-$30 to the head. And that's not even counting S&H.

But then again, I need to save for Tohma.

SO last Friday (June 25th) was my 23rd Birthday. My incoming Delf El was actually a gift to myself for the occasion, but I knew he wouldn't be here in time since I ordered him late May. WELL, I posted in the incoming doll board, following track of my business days periodically, and what do you know!? Luts shipped him out ON my birthday! Super awesome! So he's in customs now, and should be here by Wednesday! I'm SO excited! I'll be sure to post pictures when he arrives!

 

Well I search for a Chiwoo thread, I found tanning and elf, and some one asking about BW chiwoos and NS chiwoos. But how about a thread were we talk about all the chiwoos? Pros and cons? I have a BW chiwoo. Plus I want to know what people think of them.

Anyways, my Delf El boy arrived yesterday! He's soooo adorable and perfect, Luts did an amazing job on him! I really can't say enough good things about my purchase. I bought him for my birthday, and I lucked out and got my order in just two days before the price increase! Then, Luts sent me the shipping confirmation ON my bday, which was awesome! He arrived in perfect condition and I had no trouble picking him up from the post office. Everything looks great! AND, Luts even threw in a free gift, this really cute red event shirt and a pair of devil horns! I didn't even know they were still running that event and it was a great surprise! I'll be taking some pics soon, I'll spam when I do!

Thank you! I picked the body Type2 (new) I honestly had no idea what the big differences were, but I had seen someone comment that they liked that one so I just went with it, hehe. He's so great!

I managed to get a couple rushed shots of my new El, Aloysius. (al-oh-ish-us) He is seriously SO cute!!! I got him a heat resistant wig from Luts, but I think I would rather have a fur one for more texture, volume, and movement so I'm having one comissioned for him. His eyes are fuschia but they look a little darker than I wanted, so I'm also thinking of replacing them with something more vibrant pink. What do you think? Anyways, he is just as cute as can be! I can't wait to get better pictures of him with my Miyu Priscilla this weekend.

No. I did have the original face up on him but then decided it was a little too stark and asked byouyuuken to redo his face up to something more dramatic. I was so happy with the result of it!

 

Just popping in to say OMG ALL OF THIS EL SPAM IS SO AWESOME!!!

My boy needs a body... like, REALLY bad... now where to come up with a big chunk of change really fast, lol. Oh, the #1 question of a doll owner, lol.

Welcome! It seems your thread got merged in in the midst of an El spam, so, let's change the subject. I like sleeping Chiwoos... but they're really not for me. Heads are too big compared to the rest of my crew. Handled one head briefly, gave up, but I still like seeing what other people do with them. ^_^

 

They are big heads. Even the Elf Chiwoos which are recasts (and therefore smaller) are still so big compared to pretty much every one of my crew except for my Woosoo and my Dolkot Kiss. XD They can look good next to smaller heads though, you just need the right features to work together.

And I just spent 20 mins going through my pics to try and find a shot that could highlight this point! XD Not the best, but still here's Phoenix with Eiji (who is a Nanuri 07):

 

I do want an EL but yay for chiwoos! I never found their heads big. =D

 

Chiwoo heads are a little bigger than some of the other Luts sculpts though the ones we have seem about the same size as the El and Shiwoo. I think they can look very large next to smaller sculpts like the Moon and the Shine but it's not bad. They're adorable though and they look really good together and pretty good even with smaller sculpts. Kawaii_mon is right; you just need the right features. In the picture below, Amet's SSDF Howl (Wren) definitely has a smaller head than either of the Chiwoos but his features make that less noticeable.

I have to say that when I started out this hobby, I wasn't a big fan of Chiwoo as a sculpt but it's come to be my second favorite sculpt after the Moon.

Chiwoo elf! I love Chiwoo, especially the elf sculpt. I'd sold his dreaming head awhile back for some needed monies and have always sorta regretted that. But at least I still have my Journey (who has stolen Evensong's default wig and refuses to give it back. That's okay. It doesn't look that good on Song anymore, anyhow. heh heh).

I see the point about the size of the features... unfortunately for me, my other dollies have tiny head and tiny faces to match, so Chiwoo... well, it really did look quite strange. Fortunately, there's always DoA for me to admire them from afar~
