I LOVE these sculpts, it's the first time I've had such a reaction to a SD doll. They have such mature and elegant faces.

 

I’m not getting an Allurial, but I do have a Shima waiting for production. I was lucky enough to get in on the second preorder. It’s one of the only dolls since DoD’s Elf Ducan that’s actually made my chest hurt because I wanted it so bad Not gonna lie, drained the savings a little bit lol. They’re absolutely amazing sculpts and I can’t wait to see what else is coming up.

 

I got Shima as well, she is now getting a face up by Apheliondoll.

 

I'm waiting on a Shima head too (from the 2nd preorder) At the moment I plan on putting it on a Fairyland Feeple65 body, mostly because I love how that body looks and have always wanted a doll using it. But I'll wait until the head arrives before making any definite decisions.

Allurial is lovely too, but I just don't know if I'll be in a position to preorder at that time - it's looking to be really doll-heavy in the next few months for me

 

Also twaddling on the Shima waitlist. My fellow is currently hanging with the creator until the shipping situation gets better. I thought I was going to get Allurial but now I'm re-doing my collection. May still sneak her in though- these sculpts are exquisite.

 

I got the normal skin, so hopefully it should be easier to find a body for XD I’m going the alternate route though and I’m gonna make mine a boy, haha. I’m really not sure what body to use yet.

I have a Feeple65, so if someone wants a picture 8 months or so down the road, I can make that happen lol. That body is really lovely

 

Yeah, exactly. I remember first seeing one of her sculpts here on DoA a loooong time ago (it feels like lol) and falling in love back then, so when I saw the Shima mold, I knew my time had come. I can't wait to see what everyone else does with theirs! The faceups were simply stunning.

 

I totally missed out on the last Shima pre-order for some reason (I know I saw him being promoted on FB or Insta and just... didn't immediately stuff him into my shopping cart for some reason?? What was I thinking??), so I'm hoping that LC will have a stock sale sometime later this year or next year, or that I'll get lucky on the second-hand market and find him there. And it might be possible that she'll offer him again if the demand is high?? Maybe?? Please??

Allurial is cool, but I like Shima's little fins and beautiful, androgynous face so much. I'm keeping an eye out for any other sculpts LC makes in the future too!!

 

Does anyone have an idea of what company matches the NS?

 

Souldoll is a nice fit, Shima is a tad more pinkish, so not a 100% fit.
I have been told Fairyland is also a good fit.

@Synthaya Thank you!! That very helpful! I have a Souldoll and a Fairyland, so I'll have to take a look at that when my head arrives. It shipped yesterday and I'm super excited

 

I know, I sent it Hope it arrives soon, DHL sadly takes a bit longer to deliver stuff now.
Would you maybe send me comparison pictures of Shima with the Fairyland when the head arrives? That would be amazing.

 

@Synthaya Yes! I totally can! Between my friends and I, we have a fair representation of doll companies from all years, so I will definitely post pictures!

I only have a few companies here and most are white skin so that doesn´t help much with normal skin.

(Hehe, yeah. I have that name online for like 20 years and used it here too when I signed up. I haven´t even sculpted then but I changed the custom title to my company name, hopefully that helps )

 

I did a quick look and we have over 24 companies represented between the three of us I was surprised lol. There has to be something in there that's close lol. I'll get some pictures for sure!

I hope to open pre-orders for a body in 2021 or 2022 so at least there will be something that fits a 100%.
There are the FDoll bodies too that will fit perfectly since its my caster (No.1 is white, No.5 is normal (called pale pink in the future since its more accurate) and No.14 is tan).

 

That’s good to know! My friend has a Fdoll body and it poses really well I’ve been considering getting one of them for a hybrid I’ve been trying to do for an older head from JollyPlus, so maybe I’ll just get two, depending on how my resin matching goes I’m really hoping it matches the newer Luts body I have. It poses like a dream

 

I've been eyeing Allurial in tan, but I have no idea what company does a good color match for the body. Anyone have advice?

Although if I'm being totally honest both the tan and natural heads are speaking to me. They have stories to tell, different stories, and they are both saying they want to tell me their stories. Very pushy they are.

 

Tans can be hard to match. Once people have them, we’ll know better, but she looks like she could potentially match Angell Studio suntan, Supia, or maybe FL—cool tans, in other words, like more of a light brown than an orangey tan. Impldoll also does custom resin colours, and I’d imagine if she fits a Dollshe body, she’d fit the star/idol.

 

Congrats on the head! I’m super excited to get mine. I got ws with a faceup, but I was super tempted by the tan. I can’t wait to see how she looks in person!

 

That’s so awesome! The Allurial head is super pretty, but I have so many floating heads right now and the Shima on the way, so I couldn’t justify another one T_T

 

I have actually spoken to the artist and she is developing Allurial bodies, male and female, which will be produced by the same manufacturer--hence a similar/same resin color--with plans to release later this year. If you are interested and okay with waiting.

I was weak and got both ws and tan with their stock faceups. They are such different characters that i couldn't decide.

 

Honestly, if I hadn’t already had 2 layaways going, I’d have done it. I can’t wait to see how they turn out!

 

Just for giggles, I tried my Shima head on my Luts Senior Delf and I can say that it definitely looks a bit bobble-headed, so that body may be a smidge too big. Once I have time (hopefully this weekend!) I want to do a resin comparison picture for everything I have, so I'll share the findings with y'all My friends have some different companies than I do, but those will have to wait until we can get together

I have both Shima in tan and a MerryDollRound Zuri from the original preorder in 'chocolate milk', which is just a shade or two lighter than Shima. I suspect that the Lost Chronicle tan is cast with the same colour formula for chocolate milk. It will not match Fairyland, Dollzone, or Impldoll; not even close. But you could ask Impldoll, Angell Studio, or Resinsoul for custom colour matches of course, and I want to say there are a couple of other companies out there who will custom colour as well. Argonautica, I believe, and possibly Doll Legend and Islanddoll? (Not sure on that)

 

It hasn’t been updated in a while, but here is my spreadsheet of companies that colour match.

Allurial finally drew me in enough that I took the plunge and ordered one of the soon to be in stock head sun white skin. I will color match her to my recently arrived DF-H 63cm girl body in normal yellow. I’m stoked to get her though!

 

I think Shima will be my grail... LC told me she wouldnt be produced again T.T

 

She is auctioning one! I saw the post through her Facebook. You might be able to try that! It’s a lovely sculpt

What eye size have y'all put in your Shima head?

I use 12mm eyes for Shima with a 4.5mm iris.

 

Good to know! I was debating between 10 and 12, so I’m glad I wasn’t too far off base

 

I bought a Withdoll body for my Shima head. The proportions are perfect~ I'm going to dye the body to match the LC normal skin color and will put up a picture when I have it done

is that the amadiz body? or the rainman one? or the 2021 Fantasia body? or none of those? It looks familiar, but I just can't place it! I think it works with the head, though. it might be the slightest tad large for the body, but if you go up one breast size, it'd probably make the head look more in proportion. if you don't mind the head how it is and you don't like larger busts then I'd just leave it.

I painted mine on Saturday, and I got her in white to blush to match to the nys body.

Congrats!! My Allurial is also on a DF-H body, but I got it in normal yellow (I intended to hybrid a different doll of mine on it but I ended up not matching stylistically with them), so I color matched my white skin Allurial head to it.
i got the body with all possible joints and the medium bust. I’m really happy with it!
