Companies that colour match

I think that spiritdoll does! And so does mirodoll which I will be doing for 2 of dolls

 

Correct me if I'm wrong, but i think Doll Chateau and Dollzone are sister companies as well, so their resin colors should match.

Edit: Only now I understood this is about color matching services. sorry!

 

Impldoll has a colour matching service.

 

Angell Studio will color match for a fee. I made my RS Yun a hybrid onto their Charm body that way.

 

Dollzone and Doll leaves have a great resin match for normal pink skin!

Maybe we could make a (more comprehensive) list with what the different companies will and wont do, quantity, fee's etc. ? The idea is great though!

 

@Chameleon I'm all for it, since I have some projects too and I am a sucker for matching bodies! Especially since tans are so hard to match. Hopefully we can get enough info for it to actually work.

 

Iirc Granado offers resin matching, it's expensive though

Awesome! It looks really good thank you for making this. As for a pricing section, I think a section with estimates would be good (if anyone has info on it, since it's dependent on the companies). Like X company cost from ex: 15$ - 30$ for resin matching or other terms that the individual companies may demand. This is just an idea though, but I think for people who have a limited budget it would be easier to navigate. These are just ideas though

I emailed Ringdoll about color matching and they sent me this email in response.

"We don't work with other companies on it .
What we help is when you order doll parts or doll from us and send us any doll part(no matter from which company) as color sample,we can make your order with color adjustment."​

However they didn't say if it would cost more for the service. Hope this helps. I know I'm going to give it a try once I have the money saved up.

Really?! That's way lower than I was expecting it to be. I think that's really reasonable for something like this.

It's wonderful finding out that there are so many different options for hybriding when your picky about matches. I think it's amazing that an actual list is becoming reality!

I think I saw that Fantasy Doll does. Is that true?

 

I was cruising around and I saw something interesting. At the bottom of this page ( 65CM female body-Products-DikaDoll 2016 Summer event ), Dikadoll said they did tan and grey commissions. Not sure if that means what I think it does, but it could mean custom colors.

 

Does anyone know if LoongSoul offers color matching?

 

Hello! ^^ I discovered this thread while trying to find companies who color match. I'm actually going to be getting a body resin matched from Granado (specifically a LADs) and the service fee is $100 ~ $198 if you want to add that to the spreadsheet.

 

Does Angell-Studio still color match? They redesigned their site recently and I can't find anything about it (then again, that site is just difficult to navigate....).

 

@Chameleon Hehe thanks for pointing out. By the way, it is a very good compilation. And yes popodoll does colour matching service, but you need to contact them through taobao, one of popodoll's authorized dealer. The agent speaks english pretty well and will guide you through on how to do it. You need to send headcap to the address they will specific after you order. Its the popodoll official address.

5Stardoll no longer do custom color. They've removed most colors they usually do and only do WS and NS now.

I saw that green dolls thread, and it turns out that Argodoll does custom colored dolls and bodies. Or just whole dolls, it was a bit hard to tell.

 

Gem of Doll did colour matching on request for me. i don't know if they'd do it again, and i can't remember what the fee was and their service i currently wouldn't recommend at the moment (they're hard to get a hold of and apparently put non-chinese customers on the backburner and were having website/database/order info issues, but i think that part is fixed now, plus sketchy paypal use), but the match was perfect from just a photo. but the body is great and colour match A+. if they get their overseas selling act together i would highly recommend them. I have Iplehouse head in light brown, Iplehouse change resin quick (every year) so match will be hard, and they have havy body, not good at posing, not worth their price (of course it's beutiful, remember it's only my opinion), I don't want to play with resin match, so I need your help, I can't find any list of this on DoA

I need names of all BJD company that make custom resin color. I mean companies where I can send headcap, and they make me body in the same color (:

 

Resinsoul I know will do custom resin colours! Though I can't think of any others off the top of my head, but there will be others, good luck!

 

Impldoll will also do custom colors/color matching.

I'm currently searching for a body to match my tan Littlerebel Kamu head. Alice's Collections tells me that Loongsoul isn't taking custom color orders so I've emailed them directly to double check. I'll report back if/when I get a response. Has anyone else ever worked with Loongsoul on this?

 

@Chameleon are you still managing/updating the spreadsheet? I just found out Miracledoll will also colormatch other companies.

 

I enquired with AC about a colour match service from DFH, their response was no once they saw the colour I needed (a darkish tan) so I suppose they will only do certain colours.

Annnnd I just enquired about ImplDoll and got the same response, they're not offering this colour they won't do mid or dark tan.

 

Just that they 'don't make dark skin any more' no idea if that's a temporary or permanent shift. A shame as they have many sculpts that work really nice in darker skin tones.

 

I believe I've seen that many companies stop offering dark skin during more humid and rainy months, due to it being more difficult to cast and more prone to issues, especially when there's a lot of humidity in the air. I was able to order a dark tan doll from Impl not terribly long ago, but the order was placed in the fall.

An update with this. Shortly after AC telling me they won't colour match, I messaged BJDivas, who told me both Impl and DFH do offer colour matching and do offer dark tan. I made my order and they said it's all fine. I'm currently still awaiting my order.

I have no idea why AC told me they don't offer it, it's not like I just asked once we had some back and forth conversation and they insisted they checked with them, yet Divas told me different and put my order through. Hopefully it all arrives fine.

Perhaps, although AC were clear in telling me those companies no longer offer mid or dark tans and will not make dark tans, which turned out to be untrue as DFH has 'chocolate' as a standard colour. (This is the colour I ordered in the end). I have no idea why AC would want to avoid ordering mid to dark skin tones. but there you go.

 

Someone over on the Ramcube thread recently asked DFH directly if they could colour match with Ramcube's Arctic Ice skin (which is a purplish skin tone) if they sent them the headcap but DFH was unwilling to do so and said that they won't do colour matching.

They then tried asking through a dealer on Taobao, but got the same response.
