Resin Comparison Loongsoul Resin And Size Comparisons

Is there a one with Dollshe WS against Loongsoul WS? Lots of pages to hunt through I plan on putting Meiji on Dollshe more slender body O.o

I am smitten by loongsoul's 80cm body, can anyone help me out to see the resin comparison of Ringdoll's normal skin and loongsoul's resin that is closest with Ringdoll's normal skin?

Okay. So I saw two post about migidoll and loongsoul but was normal skin. I'm trying to choose between migidoll head in white or tan and I was wondering if loongsoul's resin matches or close enough in both tan and white skin?

Has anyone compared the new loongsoul resin to a newer doll of either fairyland or dollzone white? They're pretty paper, but with a bit of cream. I think the newer Soom resin may also be pretty close to this same color as well. Thanks!

 

another request, does anyone have a photo of normal skin fairyland resin with either the yellow or pink normal skin loongsoul. i want to hybrid but am unsure as to which LS resin colour will best match fairyland now, ive seen some comparisons but they have been from a while ago, does anyone have one a bit more recent, like withinthe last 2-3 years. i know company resin colours can change over the years.

 

@Praesagium: My dolls are unfortunately delayed. I've been told December, but honestly with x-mas season around I'm not expecting them to arrive this year. Sry.
Is the LS NS head a newer or older one? And do you know if it's ns-y(ellow) or ns-p(ink)?

@Biff: Can't help with a comparisson but if you are looking for a white with a touch of cream depending on what you need, you might want to look into Withdoll (several white and white-ish colors) and Doll-Leaves (creamy white that is close to Soom CW)

@onelittleorange: How old is that FL of yours? Again, once I have my orders, I could take them to the same friend that has the DollShes, as she also has a Karsh in ns, thought he is a bit older.

@Snowy, it's actually a Charmdoll head (Trista), but with Loongsoul and Charmdoll being sister companies, I'm going on the hope/assumption that they're using the same casting service. I also haven't bought the head, so I have no idea what shade it might turn out to be

Status update:
If I'm lucky my order is coming in tomorrow, if not, it should come on Monday, afther that I'll be seeing when my friend and I can meet up.
These are the matches I've written down to look into:

White:
Mystic Kids - Loongsoul

Normal:
DollShe - LS ns-p / ns-y
Fairyland - LS ns-p / ns-y

Anything else please let me know.

Note: I'll be having white, ns-p and ns-y from Loongsoul at home :3

 

@Biff: I got my dolls yesterday. I can tell you that LS white is unlikely to match your FL or DZ white going by your description. LS white is pretty paper, but with a touch of pink.
Seeing as how I've made a white skin comparisson (pic below) I can also recommend Souldoll, Mystic Kids and Only-Kids for possible resin matches, additionally to those I already mentioned.

@onelittleorange: LS pink skin is unlikely to fit your FL. I can tell that much from looking at my William-girl as I remember my Karsh head back then being a good match to Souldoll. This pink, is not anywhere close to THAT pink. I'll take my ns-y and my ns-p both with me when meeting up with my friend thought, to document it in pictures
It seems NS-Y is more likely to work, thought I'll have to look into it if it works at all.

@Praesagium : Dolls are here. As soon as I can meet up with my friend that has the DollShe's I'll take both ns-types with me to see if we can find a match.

@Logan Lovett : I've just compared the headcap of my LS ns-p doll to ALL NS skins I have and unfortunately haven't found a good match, so I can only tell you what won't work. The 'closest' one that 'fit' was that of a D.I.M. body and here the LS ns-p was very obviously pinker and darker than the LS-ns-p. You might be able to make it work with a good blushing.

NS I tested LS ns-p against and didn't work: Luts, Asleep Eidolon, Ringdoll, LeekeWorld, Switch, Granado, DreamingDoll, Souldoll, Doll-Leaves.

I THINK - but I can't test or proof it for you - your best chances are either Impldolls ns-p or having them custom color cast a head for you OR perhaps Mystic Kids, from what I've seen of the pink skin on pics. As mentioned before thought, I can give no guarante on those. I can only go by what I've seen on pics.

Hi to all! FYI resin and size comparison: Loongsoul normal yellow (NOT french) with Soom Sabik head, NS - the rigth one.
Left one is DollClans S-line body and also Sabik head (mod and blushed a lot), both normal.
Loongsoul matches pretty good, but the neck is not perfect.

 

I forgot to say in my last post that i put a 2006 Dollshe Bernard on layaway that has suffered some colour fading. I don't have the Trista head yet, but once I do, I'll post color comparisons as well.

A friend of mine told me DOD has a good match as color resin but the girl body has a big neck than the DOD head hole..
i think this will be a loooooooong serching XD

 

Are these the Mecha Angel versions or the Super Gem versions of the Sabik head?

I'm planning to get a Loongsoul 42.5cm Girl Body for my normal skin Tiny Fairy head. I don't have other NS dolls to compare her to, so I really don't know if her skin is more on the pink or yellow side. I can provide photos if it helps. But basically, I just want suggestions on whether you guys think Loongsoul's normal pink or normal yellow would be a better match?

I doubt it'd be a good match. Loongsoul is a picky white and Migidoll is a yellow white.

 

This is just the thread I needed, haha. I would looove if someone might have a Bluefairy normal skin doll to compare with either LS normal yellow or normal pink (or both!)? I'm hoping to get a body for my TF girl head (made 2015, so no yellowing).

It's lighter than Tan but darker that Normal Yellow, I got it. It looks a whole lot like Doll Chateau Normal Yellow.

I need your help wondereing if somebody had experience to change Grace body feet to Dollshe 28M or to Venitu 5th Motif feet, cause LS seems to me very small for this body and not so realistic. Same about hands, I'd like to have Venitu's instead. I'd be very glad if someone shared photo of hybrid or size comparison at least

Another request: I have 2 floating heads I want LS bodies for. The resin matches I would like to see are:
-Volks Old and/or Pure normal skin compared with Loongsoul N-yellow;
-Bluefairy normal skin compared with LS N-pink (and/or N-yellow)
For reference, the Volks head I'm getting is somewhat yellowed, but the BF head was made 2015, so not yellowed at all.
I would really really appreciate the help. Thank you so much.

 

TL;DR: Looking for comparisons between:

I looked all over for these matches and asked in some threads but couldn't find any answers! I am really hoping someone can help me out. I have a Bluefairy Tiny Fairy, normal skin, head from 2015 that I want to put on an LS body. Comparisons with N-pink and/or N-yellow would be amazing.
I also have a Volks head coming in that is somewhat yellowed. I want to put her on an LS 58cm body. Hoping for a comparison between Volks normal (old and/or pureskin) resins with the LS N-yellow resin.

 

@TheBodyVolcanic In case you aren't aware Loongsoul offers their colors in both transparent/environmental resin and "normal" opaque resin. Be prepared for the colors in each to differ. I'm sure the hybrid would work best with the non-environmental resin simply because of the visual quality of it, it won't look the same as Volks. Something that may or may not bother you.
I'd love to help but all I have is a LoongSoul body in environmental (which is their default) pink from 2012 ish and nothing from Bluefairy. Still if I can offer any help somehow by telling you how it does compare to other resins I have here let me know. Good luck!

I have a Loongsoul doll in NS-Y from 2012 and a Volks in Pureskin from 2009, both have been kept away from sunlight. I'll snap some comparison photos for you tomorrow (or the next time the weather cooperates).

 

@AlisonVonderland i do know about the environmental resin, hut didn't know it was the default >.< I was planning to order from Alice's collections, should I just contact them about it?

To answer your question, I am not 100% sure. At the time I purchased my Momo, LS was relatively new and there wasn't a choice. Environmental resin costs extra (as did tan at the time of my order, which LS only offers in environmental), and I did not pay an extra fee to the dealer. My doll's body is also solid and does not remind me of other environmental dolls I've owned, with the exception of her fingertips/toes which are a little translucent---but I've read that is a complaint among others who have ordered LS dolls in solid resin (you can view another owner's similar experiences if you scroll down on this video's comment section).

So based on the fact I did not pay the extra $$$, she's not like other environmental dolls I've held, and she seems in line with the confirmed solid doll in the above video, I would say my Momo is not environmental resin.

Either way, she's the best poser out of all my 1/4 dolls. Apologies if this reply seems like a jumbled mess; I haven't had my coffee yet this morning.

Okay, here's a photo for you. 2009 Volks Pureskin is on the left, 2012 Loongsoul NS-Y is on the right. Photo was taken in natural sunlight.



Overall the LS resin is a lighter shade but I'm sure it could be blushed to match. Can't speak for newer resin batches, though.

@TheBodyVolcanic Well, when I purchased my doll from Mint on Card (already in stock and several years ago) I read on the item page that environmental type was default. I don't know if anything's changed or if that was true to begin with. I looked at Alice's Collections and what I see on the resin choices menu are selections in two resin types, one of which they're calling "imported" and costs $40 extra (or $80 extra for tan and real skin) so I really don't know. I hope you can figure it out without too much trouble.

 

Does anyone have references or recent pictures on Loongsoul PINK Urethane resin compared with their French/Environmental PINK. I am having a hard time finding both pinks and from recent batches. I am hoping their normal pink would hybrid well for other Chinese doll makers. I really need the help, thank you.

 

Is there anyone that owns both a 73" loongsoul boy and a 58" loongsoul girl that could take a comparison picture for me? I want to eventually build a doll family and I want to make sure the sizing of the dolls will be right before I make any purchases. It's kind of weird that I couldn't find any pictures anywhere XD

 

I'm considering getting both a Loongsoul body and a Dikadoll body, both in tan. However, I'd really prefer if the Loongsoul body was lighter than the Dikadoll body, but I am having difficulty finding owner photos for either in tan...or even any company photos of Loongsoul tan!

From what little I've found, I think Dikadoll might be darker, but I don't want to take the chance on guesswork. So can anyone help me out?

Also, just throwing it out there, I am looking specifically at the Loongsoul 1/4 Girl Body Version 2 if anyone has that body to share, tan or not!

 

Hi there! ) Hope for some help with LS existing colors ^^ I'm a bit confused about them. What do french real and french tan skins look like in reality? Can they be any match to skins like Dollshe/Dollstown copper oriental, Iplehouse real skin or Luts brown?

 

Does anyone know if any Loongsoul urethane color matches LLT tan? I really want a Blue Magpie, but I think I want her in tan and it would be nice to put her on a Loongsoul 58cm girl body.

 

I have a WS DF-A practice head on a WS LS 1/4 body if anyone is interested in seeing it. There is no visible resin difference in person or photos! The neck fit is also perfect, but I'd say the head to body proportion is more on the "cute" side (IE a large head for a smaller body). Though the large hips of the LS body balance it out nicely to me.

 

Please post photos! I'm really interested to see how the hybrid turned out

My friend and I are thinking of splitting a doll. I won't be doing any hybrids but she needs a body for a head of hers. Her head is Volks normal skin (is that the same as pureskin?). Can anyone help us decide if Loongsoul (White, Normal Pink or Normal Yellow) would be a good match for her head please? I looked at that big resin comparision thread for LS but haven't been able to find much that could help us with that.

 

I don't have any Loongsoul dolls...so grain of salt here, but I do have Volks dolls and their NS resin does have a yellow tone. My impulse would be to steer you toward the normal yellow.

 

Thanks! Looking at photos of both Volks dolls and LS normal yellow dolls it does seem to be the best direction, but I figured I'd make sure. It's not particularly accurate to compare resins in two separate photos after all.

Hey guys! Could anyone with an Elegant body tell me how big his neck circumference is? Couldn't find anything on his sales page ... I have a troublesome floating head with a tiny neck opening and I'm looking for a 66-68cm body for him. I'm fine with a bit of modding, just comparing which body would require the least work.

 

@Jany Well, the 68 cm body is listed with 10 cm neck circumference on various retailer's pages, so I'm guessing it should be correct.
