66cm+ Dolls Loongsoul Black Dragon

    1. Loongsoul Black Dragon in French White. I did not attach his talons as they were split with another user, but I thought it'd be nice to show the images for reference! I hope someone posts the full dragon in white because it would be stunning to see. I kept his human bits, horns, the wings, and tail. Unfortunately, he's too short with his human legs to support his tail, so I'm trying to purchase the heightener for his ankles to help.

      Lord was he packaged badly by Loongsoul. Pieces were just haphazardly thrown in the box. How everything arrived in tact is baffling to me. Some things had foam space (like..one single thigh did but not the other), some things were wrapped in bubble wrap, some were literally just loose in the box(..like..one leg was wrapped..one wasn't). There was a giant tear in one of the boxes too because the outside box was so mangled. Not the dealer's fault at all, it was 100% on Loongsoul.

      BUT ANYWAY.
      I had to unstring him because his dragon legs and arms were being split with the wonderful Kami
      ! I'm so excited to see what they use the bits for. I didn't want to risk damage so I didn't try the talons on his strung body but I did test them to make sure the hooks fit when unstringing him. Lord are the talons massive.

      The translucency in the wings is incredible. More incredible than my complete and utter lack of motivation to clean my living room.

      Restringing this bad boy was incredibly hard. They use REALLY thick elastic and very small openings in the body.

      Unfortunately, his human legs are too short to support his tail, so I need to go buy the Loongsoul ankle extenders to help offset it. In the meanwhile he can just stand on my Gratitude Journal. It's finally getting used!

      Can't attach the tail fluff because it'll be virtually impossible to remove and it'll be easier to mail to the artist for painting with them separate.

    3. Wow! It's a shame they packaged him so horribly (my gods, what an irresponsible mess)... but goodness gracious he is gorgeous! The translucency on the wings is stunning, his dragon parts are amazing, totally jealous!!! lol

      He looks really good too with the human arms/legs with the tail and horns and wings. They strike a nice balance, even better when he's able to be tall enough I'm sure. Can't wait to see him posted here on doa after he gets painted *_*

    7. I got him in French black! I'm still waiting for mine to arrive though! This is so exciting! I can't wait for mine!

      I hope they release him again! Now I want a white one so I can paint it! :lol:

    10. those are some incredible fantasy parts, but the removable butt is me me laugh MY ass off omg
      i LOVE that fluffy tail too, i'd love to see it all together once it gets painted :D

    13. Thanks everyone!! The butt piece still makes me laugh. It fell off during transit so I just assumed he had a cavity where his butt went for the tail. Then as I was unboxing everything in full to re-string him this unidentified piece fell out of the box and I thought "what is this? it looks like a butt? :? OH WAIT. IT IS A BUTT!" Sadly it won't stick to my fridge which makes me very sad.

      @Kiarla I'm so excited to see your doll in black. The darker resins are STUNNING in the photos. Did you do the fullset with painting or just blank?

    14. I did the Fullset. It was super expensive though! *_* I can't wait to get him home either! I'm almost done with my layaway! 1 or 2 payments left depending on shipping cost!

      But now I want one in white to paint myself!

    15. @Kiarla I'm so excited to see the fullset in black <3<3<3 Did you order through a dealer or direct? I went with a local dealer and it still cost $75 to ship ($50+insurance) and that was local shipping. The boxes are MASSIVE. The fullset wasn't unavailable in white unfortunately, so I couldn't get it, but I'm so so so excited to see how it looks.

    16. Congrats on his arrival! My French Brown one arrived about a month or so ago. Sadly his tail fluff ended up arriving broken due to the haphazardly packaging… but Loongsoul did finally send the replacement part a week ago so that should arrive eventually.

    17. @IzabethS I'm so sorry to hear parts arrived broken :( I've honestly heard it's far more common for parts to arrive broken than arrive safe when it comes to this doll. LS really just did NOT plan out how to package this properly to avoid issues. I'm curious how many parts they've had to remake because of this. At least they are being cooperative! I can't wait to see you boy <3

    18. Yeah no kidding, I was vastly disappointed when I opened the fantasy parts box and saw that the tail fluff had broken in to 3 parts. I was able to glue it for the time being, but I wanted my doll to be pristine since he came with a hefty price tag. He also needed to be sueded in the ankles (I only have the dragon version) as he fell over. I was honestly more impressed by my Western White Tiger ShenLuo and her posing from 2018... But, I am glad he made it home.

    20. That's amazing! I wasn't sure what their French brown would look like!

      @akaisha0 If I were to get Black Dragon in white, I wouldn't get any faceup or blushing! I would do it myself as the white makes a great canvas!

    22. Oh my gosh! I didn’t know this model was available in white! :o he looks stunning on without any make up on already! I hope u post pics of him here when he gets his face up done. Would really love to see him then!

      On a side note about the ankle height extender. I put a set of it onto my Xuandi (from WuZhen’s body that has the height extender) but the ankle extender doesn’t sit quite right. It works but it’s def not made for his leg cuz the edges has a bit of a different cut from the bodies that do come with the ankle height extender. However if u do get yours to fit lmk how cuz I too want my Xuandi to be taller lol

      also Why is his but removeable? Can u make it bigger? Asking for a fren :lol:

    23. I will def let you know! The butt is removable because it's how the tail connects. The magnets in the butt are quite strong but it still needs a bit of room to help anchor the tail.

    29. He looks amazing in white! Congrats on his arrival. I am waiting to hear from BJDivas as I ordered one in black and I saw another member post that theirs has shipped. I am a bit worried about that packaging. Surely with a doll this expensive they could have made special packaging to protect him.
