Loongsoul 1/3 doll discussion Part 4

On second thought, that hand looks like it has the transluscency of the environmental resin though... But yeah, left really looks yellow to me. And might just be me, but in the photo right looks a lot like the mellowed (almost two year old) normal pink Loongsoul girl that I have.

 

oh. it is still less than a year since i bought both dolls. others told me that it's both normal yellow. there is a quite difference since the doll on the left looks too yellow. ill try to send a msg to the company and ask also.

 

presumably you didn't buy both bodies new if you aren't sure of the resin colors, but both look NY to me. (my NPS guy is 4 years old and still very pink, so if one of yours is NPS it's either much older than that or spent a lot of time in the sun)

 

Are 68 cm girl heads compatible with 63 cm girl bodies? I'm pretty sure they are but I need confirmation.

 

thank you. yeah i sent a message to the official site. ad they said it's both normal yellow. the left is french resin yellow skin. and the other is normal yellow skin. i thought if they were manufactured by same company there will be little to none in color difference.

It does start out very pink, but my Vampire Emily had mellowed to a really nice almond color, a few shades lighter than my NSY Xuan Yan. (She's about 9yrs old.)

 

I think Loongsoul started using UV protection in their resin since then. So people should not count on it fading

 

"No more dolls" she said, two dolls ago, as she puts down another layaway on another doll. The new boy is one of the most attractive dolls I've seen in a long time. What a grin. Their photography is amazing too. I can't resist... I wish I could find pictures of his outfit though so I could decide if I need it or not.

Interesting! A while ago in the thread I was complaining about how quickly my white skin Kylin yellowed in less than a year out of sunlight. Maybe I got a different type of resin? Hm

 

Oh my god the new fantasy boy is BEAUTIFUL. I am so happy they have a new fantasy boy out!! I hope he's super popular so they'll release a fantasy boy in the 73-80 cm size!! (Need a boyfriend for my 68 cm girl)

 

Ugh I want to buy Evil Creature Qiong Qi Beast version fullset so bad. I haven't even received Eleven Jr yet. I love the pointy ear and the smirk! But maybe the basic set will help my wallet more lol

 

@aireoko - No kidding! His fullset is gorgeous! I really love that shade of brown resin, too. I hope they release more dolls in that color.

Bi Yue Wu is also really gorgeous! I kind of wish they'd shot a couple of their stock pics on the 63cm body - she looks so elegant on the 69cm, but I'm kind of partial to the smaller size.

 

I want him too! But I already sprang for the human version fullset... T_T

 

...You know, I actually didn't realize the ninja-looking guy and the new fantasy guy were human and fantasy versions sharing the same sculpt name until you pointed it out.

Anyway, I really want Evil Creature Qiong Qi myself but if I get him I will need a long layaway through BJDivas. I'm waiting for them to hear back from Loongsoul on whether the tan and french brown skin are two separarte skin colours and if so, if they are both time limited. If the brown is not time limited I may be able to spring for a basic set with faceup in that resin colour before his ordering period is over.

I really, REALLY hate myself for missing out on Fierce Beast Tao Wu. T_T I really don't want to miss out on another smirky fantasy boy from Loongsoul!

 

Tan and french brown are different color options. Tan is light brown with a tiny hint of orange in it, brown is really dark brown. I believe it's the skin in the promo pics. My dealer stopped offering the brown skin for the human version three days after launch, not sure if BJDivas will be the same. And going off the item description, I think it's only tan that's time limited this time around?

 

We spoke to LS about it tonight, and they said that French Brown will not be limited for Qiong Qi Beast Version. Tan is limited until the 21st. What we're offering will reflect this.

 

Good to hear! Hope I can sneak an order in before his ordering period is over! At least I know if I can I won't miss out on the brown resin!

 

Does anyone got photos of the Normal-pink imported resin? Would love to see if it's a very pale pink colour- or a if it has strong pink'ish tones..

 

I'm wondering the same thing! I love the 69cm body but they are so big. I would love to replace all my girls body to a smaller size but I worry that I'll regret it and can't get their body back.

I may have to sell my Eleven Jr body when he come so I can justify the buy. I guess more floating head to my collections lol

 

It's not a pale pink in the slightest

He's about 3 years old in that picture, and there's a little bit of a yellow cast to that shot (for reference his hair is bleached practically white platinum blond IRL)

 

@Girrl Thank you for the reference photo! For some odd reason I was under the impression that LS NS-pink was a super pale colour! >.<

 

I believe Ringdoll NS is a super pale pinkish color, if that's the tone you're looking for.
The Hus and I joke that Decimus (LongYi) is a "manly pink" because the color is so robust. If it's any help, here's a reference shot of him with his sister Astrid, she's DollZone's NPS from 2014, and has mellowed over the years, whereas Decimus not so much. LoongSoul environmental (imported) resin is remarkably stable, in my experience.

 

@Girrl Thank you for mentioning Ringdoll- I will definitely look into their NS skin colours. And yes, I was after a boy body in a pale pink tone and was hoping LS could work (they make such gorgeous bodies!) but I see now that their NS-pink is waaaay too pink for what I am after! I really appreciate your help- so thanks a lot for the photos :3

Honestly, I consider Loongsoul one of the best companies ever.
The dolls and clothes are extremely well made.
I already had a Wei Huo Hu (he's sold now, but for other reasons)... and he was a really good doll.

Because I like everything about the dolls, the hair, the clothes, the blushing... I think about buying a fullset.
(Gou Mang or Min Yan ... maybe also one of the teenager boys).

Is here anyone who has ordered a fullset yet?How is it?
Does the doll arrive fully dressedfor example?

 

The full sets are very nice. They do not arrived dressed. In fact, some that have large extra parts arrive in two boxes. My White Dragon arrived with his dragon feet in the extra box and I had to put them on the body. I think his hands were in the extra box also. The human dolls have all arrived with the hands and feet attached to the body but the head is always wrapped separately.

 

Loongsoul (with the wonderful help from BJDivas) said that some 69cm female heads might work on 63 cm bodies.

I wonder if I buy the Bi Yue Wu 63cm version it guarentee to fit my 69cm girls? The listing said that 63cm special body is just for that doll and she was on the 69cm body orginally

 

I'm looking into getting a Loongsoul guy, and I was wondering if any of you has one with company body blushing. I don't have dolls with blushing yet, but I'm interested.

I'm also still doubting whether to order form them directly or through a dealer. Do you have experience with that?

 

@Qianna order through a dealer. I think they don't have an English speaking rep for their website, so you'd have trouble following up your orders.

They also announced on their Weibo yesterday that shipping out orders will be delayed because of the enforced extended holidays in China due to the Wuhan coronavirus, but I think that might be true for most doll companies based in China right now.

 

The body blushing is lovely! I have ordered through Loongsoul's site, Alice's Collections and Legend. I haven't had a roblem with any of them. One item was out-of-stock on my first order through Loongsoul and their English communication was fine. It depends who has the doll I want and who has shipping special events.

 

I sent the closest dealer a message whether she can get the doll I want. But I haven't gotten a response yet. I think she's busy. Then again, bit in a hurry I suppose because of the virus.

@nancy_schroeder_ca do you have pictures of the blushing? Does it start beautiful for a long time?

I went through what I could via search engine and old threads, mayhaps I have not searched hard enough. Does anyone know what Loong Soul 63 cm girl next to Ringdoll RGMbody-3 looks like? Awkwardly out of proportion? I’ve been interested in Loong Soul as my second doll because I really love their sculpts and I’d like a Fullset of one of their girls someday.

I now let her wear heels so she's a bit taller, but I think the size difference a lot actually. Acceptable though. Especially if they're constantly sitting.

 

I've admired Loongsoul for years and now I've finally decided that I for sure want to get one of their fullset guys. Qiong Qi was really tempting me but he's a little too similar to a doll I already have. I wanted to look through their site for their old dolls just to get some inspiration (or find some I could look for on the marketplace fufufu) but it seems they've taken all their sold out dolls off their website. I hate when companies do that! I want to be able to see all their old work even if only to see how far they've come, and I remember I quite liked a lot of the older Loongsoul dolls.

 

@bickazer I mentioned a few pages down that the Chinese version of their site still has the pages for the older dolls that were taken down from the English site. Even their first few releases are still viewable there, so I hope you manage to find your inspiration.

 

Oh wow! Cute height difference. This actually really helps me get an idea for height, I’ll look into the head circumferences myself for Loongsoul vs RD as they all vary anyways! Loongsoul is definitely on my future buy list haha

I got my eleven jr today with faceup. When loongsoul does face up do they not put on the eyelashes?

 

My full set Eleven Jr came with eyelashes and the eyes set.

 

I got no eyelashes nor eyes, i ordered through clover singing...hmm gonna talk to Christina, not sure there's much she can do because I'm not gonna send it back to get lashes on. But I've never done faceup before...ugh

 

The fullset should come with everything. I think you might need to confirm if what was ordered for you was the fullset package, or the basic set with the faceup, eyes, wig (add-on wig is unstyled vs. the styled wig that comes with the fullset), outfit, sword, and hat as add-ons.

Still doesn't explain why your faceup doesn't have lashes though...

 

I didn't get the fullset so the eyes missing wasn't really a big deal, but the missing eyelashes is just weird... ( when I order a basic set from Luts with face up they gave eyes for free but I guess every company is different}

 

From what I remember, Loongsoul basic sets should come with random eyes too. But yeah, not having eyelashes with the faceup is weird.

 

Basic should come with eyelashes attached. or at least that was what I received for my basic doll with face up in 2018/2019.

 

It might depend on the doll. My LE Frankenstein from RingDoll didn't come with eyelashes at all, and a doll I bought from DollZone came without the eyelashes attached (but taped inside her headcap in a little baggie). I can see a company not attaching the eyelashes if it's a LE faceup and there's concern that the eyelashes might damage it in transit, or they're trying to churn through a backlog and it gets dolls out the door faster to not attach the eyelashes.

 

I thought they didn’t put eyelashes to leave the choice up to the doll owner. I suppose not all people want lashes on their dolls?

 

I think more people prefer to remove eyelashes than have to put them on, and ordering eyelashes for one doll is a huge inconvenience and expense. If you happen to prefer no eyelashes, bully for you, but personally, if I'm paying for a faceup, I'm really not pleased when something included in the promo pictures isn't included on what I receive

 

I do agree with you though. I love eyelashes. Just trying to come up with a reason why they wouldn't put them on. I had two dolls I ordered with face up come without lashes, not from Loongsoul though. But I was still sad about having to glue them on myself. I'm glad I was precise but I'm not great at it. XD

So I ordered Jiao Mu Jiao from jeeryama January 15th, and I already have a shipping notice. She is coming nude, no face-up, but I'm still surprised at how fast the order was ready! Tracking says she should arrive at the beginning of March. I actually got her because I want to hybrid the body with my Limhwa Half Elf who is currently on an Iple nYID. I wanted something smaller and more posable. I have two of the Loongsoul Sirens, and I was super impressed with their engineering. I could have just bought a 58cm body, but I got a head I liked in case the resin isn't a good color match for the Limhwa. If it is a good match, then Jiao Mu Jiao's head is going to be for faceup practice. I'm worried she'll end up wanting her own body though!

Does anyone happen to know if there's a brand or two that makes modern clothing which will fit the 73cm boys? I tried searching this thread, but really couldn't find anything. I love the fullset outfits that I bought, but traditional garb and ninja outfits can only take a guy so far...

 

Don't get too excited. jeeryama frequently sends a pair of free eyes first. I think because ebay doesn't like long preorders.

 

I had wondered how eBay's system would handle a missed shipping deadline, so creating a smaller package for it to track is pretty clever. She originally told me the doll wouldn't be ready until April, so the package being eyes seems more likely. Thanks for letting me know!

I think Ringdoll grown clothes might fit? They have some modern ones and the body sizes are really close if you compare them. I obviously just ordered my Loongsoul boy so I can't actually try it out yet. Otherwise commission them? I will make my own clothes but I get not everyone can do that.
