How does LS release so many dolls back to back?? Are they a large company? I usually think of bjd companies being small for the most part. I want to see more of him:

@bluebellaen Thank you!!! See, this is why it's so hard to commit with them, LOL. They always have something interesting on the horizon. I think I like him more than the last archer release...

 

I know, right? It’s like just when you thought you finally found a doll that you really liked and wanted, then they release a new one (and a gorgeous one too, of course) so you just don’t feel comfortable ordering one just yet because who knows the next one will be even better lol.

I am already broke from the last release of Xuanlong/Xuandi so I am just glad that their latest 2 dolls are 62 and 68 cm. It they are 73, I would be doomed

 

I really want Chang Qing in a light tan resin. Does anyone know the last time loongsoul had light tan event for any doll and not just specific ones?

 

I bought Chang Qing fullset in the light pink. ;P At this point I'm just like take my money, Loongsoul. I have no regret~ I have lived a fulfilling life.

 

@Miss Era Right!!? I really like Chang Qing too...smh. This is why my collection is like it is, LOL. Congrats!!! I really can't wait to see him in person. I like the eye makeup and freckles on Chang Qing. Did yoh get him with face-up?

 

Yes~ got him with everything LS has to offer lmao. Face up, special hand blush, body blush. I just throw money at them. I'm super excited to see this smol bean (well not that small but first 62cm for me)

 

I just put Yu Ze on layaway yesterday and I'm super excited for him! He'll be my first Loongsoul and first large BJD. Loongsoul has such beautiful sculpts. I already want another haha.

 

Well... I just ordered my second LS doll, the handsome Black Dragon in brown skin. Now to forget about him for the next 10 months! He’s gonna be the lover of one of my other dolls which is OT for this thread (a Soom Chrom), so it’s great he’ll tower over him. I really should take pics of my first LS doll, my ShenLuo beast version....

It seems he is not available for order from either BJDivas, Alice’s Collections or Clover Singing yet, is he? (despite the fact that I saw other Asian dealers have him a couple days ago already...)

 

He's now on Legenddoll.net. I'm sure the others will follow soon! Yep, I want the fullset, face-up, wig B... probably order next Friday .

 

I finally ordered two Loong Soul dolls. They will be my first SD dolls! I am so excited.

Do you think this boy's head would work on smaller body? Any experience with 68cm heads on 62cm bodies?

I discovered Autumn - Yue girl yesterday. She is so cute! However I thought she is much smaller than 42,5 cm. Thank god they don’t have fullset. I think I might be in danger if they would.

@Hatsu Yes...this order felt like it took longer than my others...but it also crossed into the December and New Year holidays, so makes sense.

 

Nice to hear that they are starting to get ready! My Xiang Jun took 7 months, so it's nice if takes less this time. I ordered my fox at the and of July too, where did you ordered from?

@bluebellaen I agree! I waited to see the LS normal yellow irl, and really like it. It's a nice pale yellow. I now can't decide if I want the Swallow boy in yellow...

All my ordered boy bodies are normal yellow. I love this tone. I also have one secondhand pink (or rourou) that is fine but I still prefer my normal yellow color best.

 

He's really beautiful! And it's great to see some owner pictures of the yellow skin tone since most LS promo pictures are white skin and many people seem to go for the pink skin. It looks like a really nice, natural tone.

 

He is so gorgeous, I just love the expression on his face, it could be so many things! from bemused to sorry to surprise, just love dolls that do that!

Can anyone recommend jointed hands for a 69cm Loongsoul Grace? She's white skin but ~2 years old so a little yellowing perhaps? I don't need a perfect match but am having trouble figuring out what company size/color would match well enough. Thanks in advance for help!

 

What is the actual height of her? I don't know if this is any help, but my Impldoll Star and Idol (64-66cm) use ResinSoul SD BOY hands. They are very slim and feminine IMO and are just about the same size. They come pre-strung and are so inexpensive yet so good! IMG_20181015_133450710 by ingiebee, on Flickr

I'm also getting a RS boy body in a few months with their 70cm boy hands to see how that goes?? I'm hoping they will work with other boys I have At $38 it's a steal!

 

She's really 69cm but her extra height is in her legs, I'm told she's the same sculpt as 63cm girl. Do you think the ResinSoul white would look pretty similar to LS white? I hear LS white is pretty pale compared to some other companies. Thank you for the help!


Also I saw someone selling Loongsoul jointed hands but they weren't the color I need. Is there somewhere I can buy Loongsoul jointed hands?

Alice's collection carries them. I don't know about resin match, but I believe RS white is paperwhite? Though I've seen "paper white" look different, LOL, such a pain in the butt to match resins!

 

Do you have any experience with LS’s jointed hands?

I don't have experience with LS's jointed hands. Are they good? bad? other?

 

If it helps any, I do have 2 pair of legendoll hands. I have these, which I put on my Impldoll MGB girl and these which I put on my Impldoll Idol male

Aside from the gorgeous long nails, I think the RS hands are just as nice and less than 1/2 the cost of some hands. Here is a picture of my Iplehouse Grace with RS 1/3 boy hands on.

Anyways, I hope that helps. Resin color wise, I have no idea if they match any Loongsoul resins, sorry I just blush mine to match.

 

I bought a new secondhand LS 73 body in pink normal with jointed hands and I like them. What do you want to know @Hatsu?

I got the black one as a fullset and a blank tan one on super extended layaway with BJDivas. Gonna be waiting a long time but judging by my emperor of the sun that just came in it'll be well worth.

 

@Mahgiep How do they pose? How big are they - do you find them proportionally good?

 

I think they pose fine. They take some effort like all jointed hands.

I got another question. What size of eyes suit your dolls? On the web they say 14 mm with smaller iris. I want to order some from Tianba.

 

@Hatsu The seller didn’t know what skin tone it was but I suspect normal pink. There’s another pink called rourou (flesh) that it might be. The only true Loongsoul boy I have is Wolf and his eye holes are quite small. I’m using 10/5mm for him. So maybe others can comment. Does it depend on the sculpt?

 

hey all! hope this is the right place to get some input. i am definitely ordering Min Yan. he is so stunning and i just can't stop looking at him!
but im torn between the 75 and 80 cm version! for some reason i really want the 80 cm. but that would make him my largest doll by far. my next tallest doll will only be 68 cm.
am i dooming Min Yan to a lifetime of being photographed alone? or will i regret not going for the size i really want? if i go with 80 cm will i be frustrated because its too difficult to find items for him?
i will welcome any opinions yall have!

 

I have an 80cm doll (ot for this thread) and several other large dolls, including a Loongsoul ShenLuo who is roughly 69cm tall. If you like I can do a side by side comparison of them for you?

@ziggymoon if you plan to buy outfits for your doll on Taobao, 73 cm is much easier to find ready made. Most Chinese shops will have 73 cm as a size option, but I rarely see clothes made for 80 cm.

 

I don't have 80cm LS but have 80cm IOS and I second that so far the only clothes that look good on him were ones I had custom sized to him. Costs more and not all shops will do it. That said since it was custom made for him and not some other similar doll the things he does have look really sharp! His partner lady is 69cm LS and it's a nice height difference. She's an odd height too and I've resigned myself to pretty much only get custom clothes for her too. :P My one "standard" size doll is going to have the biggest wardrobe because she can wear all the stuff that didn't fit the other two.

 

Well life is short so I did order the full set with everything possible (face up, blushing, human parts) for XuanLong black Dragon).

 

I ordered Xuanlong in the dark brown skin, mostly because I was worried the black skin would be near impossible to photograph nicely unless you know what you're doing (which I don't lol).

But my dealer didn't tell me human parts could be added on! Now I need to check with her again to see if I can still add them to my order

 

In general how long is lead time? I'm want ti buy a Loongsoul but I'm going to be moving in the next 6-9months

 

I ordered him in brown skin, blank and no human parts as I wouldn't use them.

I paid in full, but I am not expecting him before end of October...

 

@IzabethS ooooh another dark brown skin owner! TBH I already had my heart set on dark brown skin, since the original promo photos they released were in that color, and I missed out on beast version QiongQi which was also in dark brown skin.

So when they released the black skin photos, I could appreciate how cool it looked in the photos, but not enough to change my mind about the dark brown skin.

 

The black skin is definitely cool, but the brown skin is better for the character I am trying to shell. He will get red scales painted on, and a black wig. He’s gonna be awesome.
