Ahhh xuanlong looks really cool! I'm not planning to order for myself but I'm excited to see more owner pics.

 

@GammaVector I feel you. I was like “wow” when I saw his photos, but after a few hours looking back and forth and thinking about future projects for him, he didn’t excite me that much anymore. Also I don’t really collect male dolls. I haven’t received my girls yet to decide he will fit in with any of them. Besides I’m quite put off by LS dolls’ ankles. They look really awkward. Guess I’ll pass and wait until I’m ready to have a male doll in my collection

 

I recommend BJDivas, especially for long layaways. They have the best layaways!

It might be a good idea to ask before you order if the Wizard's fullset is still available. All of Loongsoul's fullsets are limited but their website isn't always up to date showing which fullsets are available.

Hello! I was wondering if anyone had any knowledge on whether or not Loongsoul sells their wigs separately? I stumbled on Yan Qi and I am obsessed with his wig; its perfect for a character I want to make a doll of. I'm assuming that they don't, but I figured I should at least try to ask you helpful folks! Thanks in advance!

Hello all, Happy New Year, wherever you are! Well, my order is in with Christina! Question though, will I see that order on my profile page? (I did make one)

I did have a bit of confusion with my order for Xuanlong, though. After looking at other site's listings, a saw that fullset did not include face and body blush, so i asked to be sure. She said that they included the faceup in the fullset listing option, but not body blush. So, I had to add it to my invoice.

So, I have officially ordered the Xuanlong dragon in brown with fullset and full blushing. I also added an 80 cm body in rose.

Now to settle into the wait. She also said 7-8 months. When I ordered my Beast Baize fullset, it was right at 7 months. So, that's about right. Whoooot!

 

@Alicat I ended up ordering with Christina as well! AC’s has him now but I honestly just couldn’t wait lololol I’ve put the order in—am just waiting for information to make my first payment because I got him on layaway. I ordered his human ver. tho ^^

I realllyyyy hope the faceup comes out nice. I’ve heard mixed reviews with Loongsoul. I’m not expecting it to be 100% but I don’t want it to be super off either, lol. If anyone has ordered a Loongsoul fullset with faceup before, please let me know how your experience was, haha.

The wait is going to be so hard for me I’m hoping my other Loongsoul boy with come in a few months and I can just lavish all my attention on him for a bit, haha. Ever since I’ve learned about Loongsoul I feel like I’ve had no peace LOL

Thanks so much for the pictures! Not sure if I’m just not that picky but honestly I think the faceups are gorgeous and are close to the pictures (especially the first one) so I’d be totally happy if I receive my boys like this. I heard it can also depend on who/where you order from (I’ve only used Alice Collections and now Cloversinging/Christina), but I guess I’ll just have to cross my fingers and hope. These pictures make me feel more optimistic though ^^

 

@fate_xo You're welcome! And just by my experiences so far, I think the face-ups are good also. They're not the most elaborate out there, but I'm happy with them as they match the promos. I ordered all of them from Alice's Collection if that helps any then.

 

I've made my first layaway payment for Xuandi! Looks like it'll be my first doll purchase of the year Congrats to everyone else ordering him too!

I personally think those faceups are gorgeous and look quite close. I'm not really too fussed about receiving the exact faceup in the promo pics, in fact I might like it better if it was simpler haha.

@fate_xo Oh Xin Yue Hu is gorgeous! Please do post a box opening when you get him lol And yeah I think the height extenders come automatically with the body.

 

Here's my two fullset boys with their stock images. I have Fierce Beast TaoWu and Beast Baize. I think Baize is VERY similar, and i like my TaoWu better than the stock images! It seems darker, especially the horns.

does anyone have a real life pictures of Wizard Wu zhen ? Sometimes i find promo pic better looking than real life. I am debating whether i should get Wu zhen or prince min yan. But i like to see real life pic of wu zhen. also still debating if i should get a large boy, have to be very very sure i would like him alot. TIA

Wizard Wu Zhen is so handsome. I wanted him sooo bad when he was released last year, but since I already had 3 LS dolls on orders at the end of 2019, I promised myself to stay away from LS for the entire 2020 Was actually planning to get Wu Zhen this year, but then Xuanlong/Xuandi came along and that means Wu Zhen will have to wait for another year

I wish LS would have a “head only” event and I would buy each and every head sculpt they have available

 

he is soo gorgeous, he looks soft while prince min yan's face look strong, now i have to wonder which one i should pick, i love both guys lol

 

@bickazer I will definitely post pics as long as I don’t get overly excited and impatient haha it’s been a torturous 4 months for me tbh because I just keep looking at his photos and I feel like the excitement to get him hasn’t died down at all (which is why I worry for myself with Xuandi LOL)

Loongsoul makes me suffer so much why do they have to release such gorgeous sculpts and detailed fullsets? I literally can’t resist I was like “I’ll get one” but now I keep on wanting more

 

Was the price different than at the other sites? I was confused by the listing, too - so much that I asked both Alice's and BJDivas, and they agreed that the faceup needs to be ordered separately, as it does not automatically come with the fullset.

 

It was. $540 for the fullset, and alice had it for (technically) $302.

And, if I'm not wrong, the fullset and full options on Alice's is a bit cheaper, dang! $1,589 for Alice's and $1,714 on Clover Singing. Well, pooh!

 

@Alicat Oo, nice - I guess her agreement with LS was a little different than the other dealers. And as for any price discrepancy...ah well, he's going to be so utterly gorgeous when he arrives that you won't even remember that. Congrats! I'm still trying to convince myself that he fits into my budget. My wallet is shaking its hollow innards at me and saying no, lol.

 

Probably shipping is included for Clover Singing. It says free shipping but a lot of shops include the shipping in the price to not lose money. Especially shipping these days.

if you add shipping to AC's price, are they comparable?

Yep, that and their fantastic customer service, especially regarding their excellent standing and communication with Chinese doll companies, is why I choose them every time I need to go through a dealer.

 

True! I did like the 8 month layaway Christina allowed, too. With him and a body, it is a large order, for sure!

 

Alice’s Collections does offer free shipping, but not for this specific release of Xuanlong/Xuandi. I checked all xuanlong/xuandi listings on her website and it’s specifically stated in all the listings that “Free Shipping is not available for this doll, we'll calculate shipping cost for you after you place the order, or please contact us before placing order”. Can anyone that already placed an order for Xuanlong/Xuandi with Alice’s Collections confirm that? Also, I believe with Alice’s Collections, you have to pay an additional 3.9% paypal fees.

And if I am not mistaken, with Christina (clover-singing), there is no paypal fee and you get free shipping. If this is true then I think overall, the prices from Alice’s Collections and Clover Singing do come pretty close to each other.

 

Oh... no free shipping for him? Ouch. And yeah, Alice does charge the PayPal fee.

 

Yeah, it's odd - he's the only doll I see on Alice's site that makes the stipulation. I wonder why?

 

I'm wondering if it will take two boxes for his fullset, then. My Beast Baize was two.

So, when I add the PayPal fees (which I had heard before), plus shipping for him and and 80cm body, I'm sure I come out the same, or even ahead, then.

 

Dunno...my YouZhi was in two boxes, and he still shipped for free. Whatever the reason, it's awesome that you got a good deal in the end!

I was just wondering, how accurate are LS’s face ups compared to their promo pictures? I fell in love with two of their dolls but am a bit scared. Would they actually look like the pictures? Can you post some photos if you have company face up on your doll? Thank you!

 

@Hatsu I'll go with hit or miss. I didn't love the faceup that I received with my guy - it really didn't look like the promos - but when I mentioned it, there were a whole lot of people who chimed in that they were very satisfied. Go back several pages and you'll see their lovely dolls!

 

@celga Yes I’ve read it now! I missed those pages for some reason before. I know it can never be the same but I’d really like the overall character feeling to be the same (if you know what I mean). Guess I’ll just have to try it. I am really thinking about getting The Big Dipper Alioth or Lady Xiang.

 

@Hatsu I have a strong feeling that I am in the minority - maybe the artist had an off day, lol. I expect that you will adore the faceup that you get. And wow, Lady Xiang is so pretty...if I collected girls, I'd snatch her fullset up in a second!

@skyadmirer He is way more detailed on promo pictures. He kind of like is on the path to promo but is not there fully yet.

From what I see I think they sometimes miss the details. And that might be the problem of more companies. Like if the promo face up was 100, but they for some reason stopped at 80. I think it’s a shame. If you see some face up artists they can do 100, so it can be achieved. Let’s say I have to try it and if I am not happy send the head to local artist and hope for the promo results.
Would be fun to see LS’s promo doll irl though.

The black dragon looks so good, the new body too! Unfortunately (or fortunately? ) he doesn’t have the face who would fit my character.

 

i would be so so tempted to buy Xuanlong, his horns! his giant clawed feet! his jointed tail! are all perfection but i hate his wings, i think they make him look to busy and they kind of ruin the effect of a chinese dragon for me.
i can't wait to see owner photos of him though.

@Miss Era I have a newer body with pink skin. The seller didn’t know what it was called but it matches my Dollmore Billy Colin head perfectly. I could post a photo but I’m not sure if is the rose/pink or something else. Definitely not the normal yellow and definitely a light pink. Let me know.

Does know if it’s possible to order Loong Soul horns separately? Their designs are just so well thought out and wonderful~

 

I currently can’t decide on a skin tone. I am thinking about Lady Xiang. Promo pictures are in yellow. I was looking at all photos here, even found lady with yellow skin guy on IG and she was very happy with it. She said is such a gentle colour not orange but very light. But my concern is how would it age? I had Impldoll and she was very yellow. I am afraid white would be too white and pink too pink. ‍♀️ I am horrible I know. I just want her to look as close to promos as possible. And I was surprised she’s not WS on promos because she seemed very light.

 

I love yellow. I have 3 bodies in yellow (with three more ordered for floating heads). It’s a pale color with peach undertones. My first came in May and still looks the same. Impldoll is notorious for turning orange. I haven’t come across complaints about LS over time.

 

My Tom (MuChen) is YS and he arrived in March 2012. He's "tanned" a little (lots of hot and sunny trips to visit the Grands in San Jose) but not much at all considering how old he is now. He's still a pretty close match to my more recent YS dudes. It's been ages since I got a good photo of him, but this is untouched-up, in natural light
