My grandma recently had an accident and is being hospitalized for a few weeks. She has an Asleep Eidolon Yara that I gave to her after she lost her husband. She bonded with her instantly and loves making her clothing. I'd like to take her doll to her, along with some pretty yarns and hopefully some nice patterns so she has something to do while being stuck in her hospital bed for the next few weeks. Any patterns or links would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you, I'd gone through it but didn't see many sd sized patterns. I'm trying to track down as many as possible!
My "go to" pattern for sweaters is this raglan sweater calculator. Here is a link to a Google doc to make the calculations easier (just plug in the measurements you take). I also love Ravelry for sweater patterns. I did a search and found two specifically for SD dolls, and both are free. Otherwise I look for adult sized sweater patterns in bulky weight yarn, and divide everything by three and follow the pattern. It isn't perfect, but for basic sweaters I have pretty good luck. I hope your grandma has a speedy recovery. She's lucky to have you thinking of her, and ways to help her pass those hours.
If you click on the pink "knitting" prefix button at the top of this forum, you will see all the patterns with prefix markers in this forum. There are more 60cm knitting patterns without prefix markers, and you can find them using the search (magnifying glass icon, upper right). It really isn't hard to help yourself find information here! Off DoA, a great source is www.dollswestdesigns.com. Best wishes to your grandma!! Doll knitting has gotten me through a lot of long hours in hospitals, and I know you're going to make your grandma very happy with your thoughtfulness.
