Getting older isn't temporary. I have a bad back and arthritis in hands, hip and knees.

 

Ouch! Paring down your dolls, especially the bigger ones, makes sense with all that Arthritis At least getting older is better than the alternative

Well no luck so they are both staying until either granddaughter wants them for her bjd crew or I can work something else out. I think they are both beautiful and pose fantastic. Just some people can't get over the resins not being perfect.

Hello~ I have come to join your ranks! I am now the happy owner of a LR Andre head (acquired from animemom). Currently figuring out the situation for his body. Debating a Senior Delf or just a Delf body, but I'm not sure yet.

Hey @spindlewood happy to see you here. I had him on a Dollstown 17 yr boy body in the new oriental skin and the fit and size ratio was pretty good. So you will want to look maybe at comparable bodies.

 

Thank you so much! I will be sure to look at bodies similar to that size! I did get to momentarily see how his head looked on a Delf body and the ratio wasn't too bad. Honestly his head just looked narrow in comparison to the Delf head.

But I'm still looking, still on the hunt. ❤️ Thank you again for selling him to me! ❤️

 

@animemom You have no idea how much I covet your Ethan and Jelle...and how little I can manage them. Jelle especially is a sculpt I adore.

@spindlewood I dream of a Kamu on a Delf body, I think that'd have cute proportions.

 

Does anyone know for Little Rebel normal skin and Doll Family resin, is normal yellow a decent match? Is normal pink too pink?

 

Back in 2019 I've got my LR normal + DFH normal pink, the match is good in my opinion. This year I've got my LR peach (I think peach is their prev normal because they have similar color imo) + DFH normal pink, the match is good too. DFH normal pink is not too pink because it matched both my LR heads. I know it's not 100%, but with make-up, the little differences of its color won't be seen in my opinion.

Really appreciate your shots. I have seen Little Rebel normal now with both DF white and pink resin and I think both look pretty good with makeup and/or blushing on the body. But without any blushing, can def see the difference and am struggling to find any comparison pics with DF normal yellow lol. Your boys are exceptional, by the way! So beautiful...

Ah, Moonleaf? Thank you! The original post didn't say what body it was. How is the resin match in real life? It looks pretty close, maybe a bit darker than the Little Rebel resin?

 

Yes, it is slightly darker in real life.

I've got an Ethan head in the caramel skin (which is BEAUTIFUL), and I'm looking to put him on a male body... but I'm not sure what resins will match, other than the Fdoll #17. the Fdoll body looks great, although the neck circumference seems a little small? does anybody have any experience with Fdoll bodies?

I really like the look of the DF-H, which apparently matches the older LRD tan... would that still match with the current caramel color?

and of course, if anyone has an alternative suggestions, that would be awesome too :^D
(my nitpicky, not-so-important-but-would-be-nice preference would honestly be for less buff/defined bodies, but that's not my highest priority)

I got an FDoll 69cm boy body for my Aleksander head last year, and to my surprise it came by default with two torsos: one with a thicker neck and one with a thinner one. The thicker version fitted perfectly for Aleksander who was built to go on a 10-11cm neck. I do not know about Ethan, though? If it sounds ok, maybe ask FDoll if they still include two torsos with that body?

 

I finally got my Jelle, Lucia, painted (she's been sitting on her body blank for a year, maybe more... yikes)

@Gamine - What company body tan resin is that you picked? It looks like it matches the craamel well but a bit lighter?

 

@xyuemoto I purchased the body second-hand, it's a Spiritdoll proud body v2, according to the seller the resin color was a custom match to I.O.S. dark tan. It's a little lighter than the Little Rebel caramel color, and in person it has slightly more red/pink undertone than the caramel. I'm sorry that this probably wasn't too helpful, I.O.S. dark tan seems to be an pretty obscure color

Hello~ I have a question for you LR Andre owners out there:

Any recommendations for eyes? I've noticed that the 12mm eyes I have are just a smidgen too small (some gaping near the corners). Are there any 12mm eyes that are a good fit? Or 14mm eyes with small irises that you recommend?

Question for any of my fellow Jelle owners! Does anyone know the compatibility of Jelle to the FL feeple bodies? I've done a bit of poking around at measurements and while they *might* work, with the shoulders of 11cm, neck just a little on the small side with 8.4cm and the feeple head size being a tad bit smaller at 23cm, I figured it wouldn't harm anything to toss out a feeler over here.

Also! For anyone who has the LR Chocolate- has it been compared with DF-H's Chocolate? I have a body(not for my LR heads, sorry) on order, so I can do a comparison once it arrives, but I'm only 10 months in on the wait and with the queue it looks like I may have a couple more to go. But! Food for thought.

 

@spindlewood I have some CandyKitten eyes in my Andre head and they seem ok but they are 14mm with regular pupils. I can try different styles if you still need?

LR Sarang on Feeple65 body. Proportions is accurate with very little neck gap. The head would need a neck kip to from loose bobbing and hold the head poses. Overall stunning.

Now my specifications are much different than everybody else’s for dolls but it’s just my opinion and these are mostly for references.

I don't have a Kamu, but I've got 3 LR dolls at this point (Haichi, Aleksander, and Jelle). Kamu is a great sculpt! Who's it going to be and what body are you thinking for them?

 

I’ve always liked LR dolls but never had a need for one, so I’m happy to finally pull the trigger! Tho I have literally never paid for anything bjd related with my credit card lol (except at dollism and my bank locked my account so that was fun).

I have a body at home already- I was thinking this would be a temporary head for her but we’ll see how it works lol. I’m making an OC I had kinda thought would never happen but I got an Argo body second hand in a gorgeous custom dark tan, which is perfect for her. No idea if it’ll fit proportionately or not but the neck measurements work so… fingers crossed.

the body has been waiting around for a few months now and I’m dying for her to be a doll

I have mine on an ImplDoll Idol Muscle Girl body. The neck circumference fits the head just about perfectly as is, no modding needed, and she has great head mobility

My LR Andre is slowly coming together! He just got his face-up done and now I'm trying to find eyes. I find that I like 14mm, but the standard iris size is a little too big. Any recommendations? What size eyes best fit your Andre?

LittleRebel will be closing soon. The last two Ángel dolls are being sold by auction.

Hello my friends, this time I bring you some bittersweet news, as I have to announce that by now I don’t plan to open more preorders for Ángel. My time as a dollmaker is coming to an end, and during this year I only made dolls as a hobby and in very limited quantities.

I will put for auction the last two Ángel dolls I have in bisque and in umber color. They come with a special make-up and hand blushing, unique handmade eyes, and handmade wig (similar than in the pictures, or you can chose another color if I have fibers in stock), all done by me.

Ángel in umber color auction starts July 15th at 17:00am and ends 18th 17:00h. Central Europe time.

Ángel in bisque color auction starts July 20th at 17:00am and ends 23rd 17:00h. Central Europe time.

This is very sad news! Another BJD company is closing.

Carmen makes such great and unique sculpts. I own an Aleksander, and cherish him.

 

Yep, this has been long in coming. A tragedy for us, but I really hope Carmen will find new happiness in her life now.

 

Oh no! While I won't say I didn't see it coming, between the rise in resin prices and how quiet so many people in the hobby have become, I had really hope for at least a few more head orders, Andre and Sarang specifically

 

This news has made me very sad as I've been a longtime fan of Little Rebel but it also has made me very determined to get my hands on dolls that I've adored. In that vein, I purchased a LR Tenten head! It has honestly been one of my grails, I just never thought I'd get my hands on one!

I'm sad for Carmen as well that the conditions are not right to keep plugging away at the dollmaking business right now. I was a big fan of Little Rebel dolls since sometime in 2012/12 I guess. My early days. Still remember the joy of opening my Seven from the first order and how a friend of mine on Flickr also had Seven. (then, hilariously I re-acquired a seven from a different Flickr friend years later... Used to be quite the happening spot!)
I'm kind of surprised that this thread was as quiet as it was in the last year or so. I felt like in the last couple years LR became hugely cult-popular! What do you mean @FactitiousEuphoria about "quietness," is it this?
Congratulations on getting Tenten @spindlewood ! I remember that release! I really wanted one but I was telling myself probably should not indulge. Still one of my favorites! I hope to see how yours turns out!
