You're very welcome. Bjdivas does do layaway so it's a good way to spread payments while they get your items made. I keep hoping I will get notice my bodies are shipping or there. I have been waiting now five months. Hopefully not much longer.

 

I was thinking Doll Family - A 68cm? I asked Alice's Collection to send me a photo of their skintones and the Normal Pink looks close to the Little Rebel Peach Normal.

 

I was thinking of that one too actually. I have also been looking at Spiritdoll.

 

Has anyone gotten a doll head in the new chocolate color yet? I picked up a Noelle in chocolate and now I'm looking for a body and I have no idea what sort of company might match it. I'd also love to see some more photos of the color!

 

I ordered MYou Coffee bodies for my two heads, but it has already been 5 months and no idea when they actually will ship.

 

@Riverboat I haven't seen anybody receive their head yet(I wasn't able to snag her this that last round, but maybe next time!) but as far as possible resin matches, I only know a few companies who consistently cast that dark; Dollshe/Dollstown Pure Skin Tan or their Honey Skin Cocoa Tan; Impldoll Dark Tan may be within range for it as well; Iplehouse Dark Brown may be an option as well, but their more limited Ebony may be even better; Fdoll, who little rebel used to cast through offers a custom color labeled 25, but for all it is an extremely dark brown, I wouldn't shy from call it an ebony tone. Luts has some new limited tans, but I wouldn't even put them in the same ballpark, still all too pale for the examples of the new Little Rebel Chocolate.

Now! There are companies who will do custom colors. Doll Family A most notably. Or if you're not afraid to either dye a doll yourself to match or send it out to someone else who is, that's always an option too. I was planning on a custom resin match from a company personally!

Fingers crossed for an Ethan release!! I've owned my Ethan(Tay) for a long while, but I'd reshell him into a Chocolate resin in a heartbeat! All of his heads, that is. (All four, hehe, but I'd happily settle for two, if only to try and spread the love for such a lovely sculpt!)

 

Thank you so much! This is such a comprehensive list! It's exactly what I was hoping for. I may end up getting a Dollstown body in that case. I had not even considered a custom color, that's such an awesome service. I think I'd prefer to blush the body to match rather than trying to dye a lighter skin doll, but we shall see!

 

I will say having an Ethan head that the head looks odd on the 15 Yr boy Body I would only suggest the Elf body for heads like Jelle. But I will have or do have bodies here if someone wants to see what they would look like.

 

I've definitely fallen for Andre and Kaylar. I would love to see the chocolate colour soon.

 

I would love to see some body comparisons. I have a Zaoll body that I can try for scale with my Noelle head once it arrives. Although it will be a wildly inaccurate color.

 

I can put his head on my 15 Yr boy body from DT tomorrow and share a photo. The skin tone won't be the same. I do wish my MYou bodies would ship.

Here is my Tan Ethan head on a NS/Oriental skin Dollstown 15 Yr boy body. While Dollstown does make a tan, it's a darker tan and shinier then Little Rebel, but if you have a NS Head the Oriental skin body will work I think and if you went for a paler head the fresh skin would be my choice for body. Jelle could work on the elf body, but I think a bit off as Elf Body heads are generally best under 8.4 inches and the 13 yr girl body would be better. I hope this has helped. While the DT bodies I love I wouldn't have chosen one as the price is a $100+ more then the MYou bodies I am getting.

 

Thank you! I like the body proportions on that one a lot. The Noelle head I'm waiting for is an 8.1" (a bit smaller than Jelle), so it seems like I could pick between the elf and 13yo body and both would look in scale, but it might change how old she looks.

 

I would recommend the Elf body as more slender and better proportions. The 13 year girl would look very odd. The 13 year girl heads are nine inches.

Dollstown is having a 15% off sale on bodies and heads. It ends Jan 3rd. So if you go with them it could be almost six months for it to arrive as they share casting services with Dollshe.

My Noelle has arrived! I'm in love with her. Her face is has so much personality. She's chocolate skin tone and in this photo she has 10mm eyes. I like the pupil size, but they gap badly and aren't her color, so I will be getting her some different ones.

This last photo is the most accurate one of her skin tone. She's a milk chocolatey color, which I love. It's a bit of a cooler brown undertone and less yellow than the first photo that I posted, which was edited.

 

@Riverboat Congrats! I am happy she arrived so quickly considering the postal service chaos. Look forward to you sharing her again as she progresses. What name did you give her?

 

Thanks, I'll try to post progress pics. No name yet! I tend to take a while naming my dolls. I think once she has a face up her name might come to me. Sometimes it's in the painting and trying on of clothes and wigs that their personalities really come through.

 

Ok! I’ve read every page on both discussion threads. I have my handsome Little Rebel Ethan Tan. Narrowed it down to the SDF 65 or Doll Family-H Tan or Supiadoll 65 boy body.

Now for the Senior Delf 65 body, what color option do I choose? Is the Real Skin Brown or Real Skin Light Tan.

Would anybody have reference pics of any Little Rebel doll head on the Supiadoll 65cm boy body? I’ll be getting it custom dyed if the proportions are to my liking.

 

I'm so happy to finally join this thread! August, my Little Rebel Andre, has a body now He's on the 2D Doll 68 cm v2 body, and I really like how the hybrid turned out. The proportions look great and the head has fantastic mobility on the neck.

@Gamine That's helpful to know, neck mobility is something that me fras me when it comes to hybrids

 

The new eyes I ordered for my Hachi finally arrived (Soul in a Box shipped them 2/25 and they only arrived yesterday) and I had to take pictures to celebrate their arrival (and finally being able to hold my camera again, 4 surgeries later...)

 

@Girrl the eyes look awesome and so happy you're able to hold a camera again. Please be careful and use a tripod when possible. My arthritis is saying the tripods I have collected over the years maybe used more and more in the coming years. Thank you for sharing your wonderful boy. I hope to share my Little Rebel dolls soon if MYou would ship my bodies. Eight months is to long!

 

Your point about tripods is well made, but I had severe bi-lateral carpal tunnel syndrome, cubital tunnel syndrome, and De Quervain's tenosynovitis - I couldn't even pick up my camera, much less attach it to a tripod Technically, I've still got the tenosynovitis, it's too severe for surgical intervention to be particularly successful, and cubital tunnel in my left arm. My 5th (and hopefully final) surgery is going to happen sometime this year, probably within the next 6-8 months

15mm Eyeco (Fantasy A214) on the left (her right) vs 14mm small iris SoulinaBox (Everglades) on the right (her left) there's a teensy bit of gaping with her SoulinaBox eyes, but they're absolutely gorgeous and photograph so very well

 

@Girrl Oooo, a Hachi! I'm glad to hear about your successful surgeries too. I really like the Eyeco eyes' luminosity, for some reason they look keen and aware. Though the colour is great on the SoulinaBox set.

@dotworkdoll It's a mix! They're doing artist casts like @animemom said but their last order with Andre was through Harucasting; not sure if they will continue using Haru, but definitely keep it in mind, as the resin colors are different!

Personally I hoping for more artist casts, as I'm looking to reshell my current normal skin Ethan to a chocolate Ethan! But that also involves buying 3-4 new heads, hehe.

I blame this thread for the fact that I said no more dolls, and was firm, and then wound up spotting Noelle today, exactly 3 days before her release, when I just so happened to have gotten my work bonus this same week. I accept no responsibility for my actions. I will not reflect. I am not sorry.

 

I hear you, I have a body here that would be perfect for her, but I shouldn't.

 

I am happy to finally have the white skin Kaylar I've wanted for a while, but I am trying to decide on what body to get for him.

What are people using? I was looking at the body recs on the Little Rebel site and i will not lie the Fdoll body is tempting simply due to price, and it would give me a really nice size difference, but I would love to see photos of other hybrids because I am not 100% sold on one yet.

My other 2 Little Rebel hybrids are both girls (Hachi and Jelle) so that might not be as helpful

 

If he's white skin you're pretty much open to bodies just look at neck size as you want head to fit right as well as shoulder width. Hopefully @Kim you will have more choices then myself. I was only able to order Tan Ethan and Jelle and was told MYou coffee was best choice for resin match, but it's been eight months and still no bodies. Have had the heads for five months and anxious to finish the brother and sister for my Parker.

 

I have light sand freckled Noelle coming home soon. Not at all sure what girl body to get. I still havent ordered a tan Doll Family H for Kaylar. whose face is unpainted.
Anyone have a fave bod for their girl?

 

If I had ordered a Noelle I was going to order the peach and use a oriental skin Dollstown 13 yr girl body I had. But thankfully found a buyer for body.

 

My Hachi is on the (now discontinued) Doll Chateau 1:3 Adult Female body (seeing a pattern here, lol) and my Jelle is on the Impldoll Idol muscular girl body. Lucia (Jelle) is still blank, but the proportions are good and Impl will do color matching on request

 

My Andre arrived from Spain. He was in Spain, then Germany, then OH and now IL. Made trip in like 3 days. I deleted some of the steps as there was a lot!

This is my Kaylar! His name is Jewels. He's an astrophysicist. I have had him for awhile but I really like the looks of Andre. Thinking maybe one day I will have to get one.

 

Long time no update here. It's a little hard to find Kai's owner's photos (at least in my experienced before, the new photos especially).
So here is mine, my LR boys together. I received Kai (II) last month

 

@animemom Glad he's made it home safely. In the 19th c such a tour of Europa would have been de rigueur for any young man looking to be someone in the world!^^

@riezyoe @AkioMoichi What is it with the handsome LR boys and those gorgeous bright red wigs? As if they were made for them. Did you guys make the wigs yourself? I can't stop looking. I mean, not just at the wigs obviously^^

Yes! I made his wig! It was such a pain in the butt though. I think (its been awhile) I used dyed goat fur. Im pretty sure this is Angora Goat fur. Bought it off of etsy. They have many many many colors. I usually am a yarn wig maker. So to me I think working with animal fur is SUPER HARD. I have made quite a few animal fur wigs now and I STILL cant figure out the best way to go about making them. But sometimes a doll requires this type of wig.

 

@Mandagore Yes, I made those wigs on them Kai should have use brown wig actually, but I've not making them yet orz

@AkioMoichi It looks great! Love those soft waves. I have recently tried out hard cap wig making using yarn, but found I really, really suck at cutting hair and turning it into a hair do. I messed up everything I had achieved so far^^ Thanks for the additional picture of your sweetie!

@riezyoe Those wigs give your boys a real cool, authentic look I think. Making short hair wigs is so hard! Red or brown haired, your Kai is a gorgeous boy.

I'd suggest using an Eyebrow razor for yarn wigs! I couldn't cut wigs either until I bought an Eyebrow razor. Muuuuch easier to do layering, thinning, styling.

 

@AkioMoichi Thank you, dear. I used thinning shears and this razor blade knife thing hairdressers use, but I just had no idea how to cut the hair to achieve a certain style or at least make it look good. I also watched tuts, but they don't have that kind of hairdo specific info usually.. Maybe I'm just hopeless

Question guys! I have a normal skin kaylar head. And I want to get him a dollzone body. Does anyone have any comparison shots of the DZ resin normal pink or their normal yellow against/with the little rebel resin? I have found some photos on Google. But one photo makes it look like the dz normal pink looks better. And another makes the dz normal yellow skin look better. I'm at a loss. And maybe could someone inform me of more places that has good resin match? Thanks!

My Little Rebel Andre is called peach so he was closer to normal skin yellow tone then a pink tone, but he's blank so he will be done to match the body better. Good luck.
Oh and my boy is on a Dollstown 15 year boy body from 2018.

 

@AkioMoichi - My head is normal resin from before the current artist cast colours (which are not the same). It is yellow toned and the body in my photo is dfh normal yellow which is slightly yellower and darker than the head. Check the little rebel gallery, maybe it can help with comparisons. My MYou bodies in coffee arrived finally after over a year waiting. I am disappointed that the coffee resin isn't darker, but since my hands can't handle big dolls so much they are just background for the stories of my 2 main dolls. This is Lincoln and Kennedy who are Ethan and Jelle heads from Little Rebel and the smaller kids are the twins Harrison and Parker by Irrealdoll.
