My boy is here! He got here yesterday noon, and I was so freaking excited! Last night, I deboxed him and hugged him after he was out of his bubble wraps~ He is super adorable. Now I'm sueding his joints, and I'm planning to do some body blushing and faceup, then I'm off to his wig. In the meantime, here's my Ryan in his Modern Times outfit, also from Little Monica~

Anyway, I've given Ryan his faceup and I must say he looks quite girly in this pic, yet he tries to look smexily manly. I still need to do his body blushing though.

So my plans was to find the perfect dolls for my Ciel, Sebastian and Grell characters. First I choose Little Kliff for my Ciel. And then I change my mind to Bear instead as he looks much more like Ciel.

But then I find out that Popodoll's site is down.. And NanGongYou were perfect for my Sebastian character. And I can't have Ciel without his butler. So I'm having second thoughts about ordering Bear now. I don't know quite what to do

If I'm going to get Bear (Ciel) I'm gonna have to search all over again for the perfect Sebastian. And finding the perfect sculpt that is not 70cm in height is hard

Anne got tired of waiting for her body so she's borrowed one for a while

 

I'm new to the little Monica dolls, found out about them because I was looking to put together a Unoa hybrid....mainly because I am looking for high heeled feet!

Could anyone help me with the circumference of the ball joint at the ankle so I can figure out if the high heel feet for Little Harmony would work with the Unoa body? I hope this isn't off topic...apologies if it is and sorry for the intrusion..

Cydril I'll be fine I think I might just take a break from my plans for now. I have to pay for my MDL Vampire Abadon and face-up for my FF Iruhi anyway. Maybe sometime in the future I'll be able to put together my Black Butler family.

 

Snowfern, the ankle is 5.7cm. the ball should be smaller, since it's sitting inside.
do you already have the unoa body?

 

Hey marxwyn! Yes I have an Unoa body, could I bother you to measure the diameter of the ankle ball joint? I'm assuming it's a normal S-hook system? I'm so excited now and I might just go ahead and buy the foot!!!

 

Diameter of the balljoint is about 1.5cm
and yes it is a normal S-hook system.

Finally got a new wig and some new eyes for my girl... sadly, the eyes aren't quite the color I expected, but she'll keep them for now. Her wig's nearly perfect, on the other hand, just needs a little additional styling.

Yes, he is! The posability is good, I think. I haven't really tried anything complicated, but he can touch his face and stands really easily.

 

Hello, everyone! Would it be possible to see any pictures of someone's Elena?

 

They now have released an LH Demetri, ugh, all these pouty boys are killing me, they say he is "smiling", but he looks awkwardly nervous at best to me, and that expression is too adorable…^,^;

 

I absolutely adore the Little Demetri head! I am hoping beyond hope that I win the head, although if I don't, I will probably end up getting him anyway. What does everyone think of him?

CONGRATULATION! I love him for his smile too. But not gonna get him I think. I am so in love with my one and only kiddo, Ryan. Here, have one spam of him. It's been awhile since I uploaded his pic. Yeh, he does look girlish with those lashes, but I guess that's what makes him different from the other LH boys.



Next month, we're going to a dolly gathering and we're gonna have a potluck. But I'm still not sure whether I should make apple pie. Or apple crumble. Or maybe apple candy. One thing for sure though, Ryan isnt unreliable with kitchen help. Oh how I wish he can be more helpful.

Hello, everyone! For the sake of having some activity in here, does anyone have any Elena spam they could give us? It looks like there are only two owners on flickr who have her, and it's so hard to find owners' pictures of this lovely sculpt!

 

Would their resin match Napi Doll (Yeriel sculptor) heads?

 

Sadly Irin is my only LM doll ^^;

For resin matching, there seem to be more activity, or get better answer in the bigger size thread. while on the matching Question, does anyone know which other doll brands' hand can be use for Little Harmony?

 

It's so sad that the large Little Monica thread is more active than this one! I have a Little Monica Elena on the way (yay!) and I promise to take many, many pictures of her so that this place can be more active.

I agree that it would be best to ask about resin comparisons in the larger thread, because more people seem to frequent there!

I'm actually thinking to get hands from Luts, and I'm not really bothered by the resin match coz Ryan is white skinned. So I'm just gonna order white skin hands from Luts. Maybe it'll match, hopefully.

Congrats Kalhirst! I cant wait to see her. I am STILL waiting for a body for my Elena, but someday when Dollzone gets their act together, I will have lots of pics for her too, haha.

@kallasdoll, I wonder if not many people know about the little harmonies. They are a fairly new line. LM has been around forever but theyve never been hugely popular.

 

I think that most people probably don't know about the Little Harmony Line because it gets such little exposure. I know that Little Monica isn't the most popular brand of dolls here on DOA, and personally I chalk that up to most people simply not knowing how wonderful their dolls are. Plus the Little Harmonies are a relatively new line, as Cydril said. Elena was just released recently, I believe! I really wish they were more popular so I could talk to more people about them, though. I'm so excited for my Elena.

Thank you! I can't wait to see lots of pictures of your Elena when you get her body. Are you making a Dollzone-LittleMonica hybrid, then? That sounds interesting! Any particular reason you're going for that hybrid?

I agree what others have said re: popularity of Little Harmony line. The line still young. and I'm not really helping either by not taking plenty of photos of my Irin

By the way, I've gotten a Little Harmony body recently and it's super YELLOW (totally does not match my Supia head like Irin's body does T_T). Did LM change their resin again or was I just unlucky? o_o
Makes me wonder what colour my Demetri will be...

 

I don't think they changed their resin lately? That makes me worried for my incoming Elena. Maybe ask LM if the body's resin is supposed to be so yellow? It's weird that they might change the resin color without warning anyone.

 

Lanilu, your Irin is lovely! I hope you'll take some photos of your Demetri, too, since I'm starting to consider getting him... it really is a shame there aren't more of these dolls around, but I didn't know about them myself until I found my Irin. Hopefully they can do a little more promotion of the line and make it more popular!

 

Ok, I asked them and it seems I really was just unlucky. Their resin is still the nice pink colour. ^^ (They even would have exchanged my body if I had asked sooner. o.o )

@Kalhirst,I chose that body because I need a slim and willowy one for my character (She is Anne of Green Gables)-and those prayer hands you can get for it are fantastic
Also DZ white resin has no color, so its easy to blush it to match other resins!

@Lanilu, My NS LittleMonica doll is very peachy-yellow as well. I much prefer the white skin, since its a pink-white.

Yeah, his resin is more on the yellower side. Actually, it matches well with the LM kitty ears I got in 2011 (forgot to add them in the comparison pic).

Ever since I laid eyes on the Little Monica heel legs, I fell in love. I love high heels and love my dolls in high heels, so they gotta look good :P

I own an A-line Minifee in Fairyland normal skin and was wondering about whether or not I can integrate those feet onto her body? I asked vicemage on the MNF thread and she confirmed the Little Harmony line are indeed Slim MSDs, but sadly she doesn't own the heeled feet at the moment. Sorry to barge in with this if it has been asked before, just thought I'd ask here in hopes of seeing if this hybrid has been done before!

I would really appreciate it if someone could guide me on any resin colour matches and I would be forever grateful if anyone owns a MNF and tries the heel feet on their Little Harmony

 

Hello Chamillia, do you mean the heel leg or the heel feet? Minifee has their own heel feet.
I don't have little monica heel feet, but can compare the ball joint of the normal feet to minifee's.
There's an unoa owner here that use LM heel feet for her unoa, she said it fits and match nicely. Not sure if unoa's and minifee's ball feet same size or not though.

It looks like they don't match very perfectly but maybe blushing it would help? I know LM has two skin tones, yellow and white but I know yellow would never work haha!

Can you please direct me to the Unoa owner? I would like to look at her photos and contact her if possible, she may have a MNF as well!

 

Chamillia, that member is Snowfern, and it's actually heel feet, not heel leg, sorry my mistake. (page 16 of this thread)
I forgot I have heel leg, and tried/compared it with minifee I have here; https://www.flickr.com/photos/winm/14501677140/
I think LM can be blushed to match minifee, but the knee joint is a smidge bigger. Might be able to force it in, but could break or deformed the joint on minifee's?

 

My little Elena just arrived!! I do have a question, though. I tried my 14mm Makoeyes eyes on her, and they were way too big. What sized eyes do you guys have your LM dolls wear? I'm seriously wondering if 10mms would fit better.

 

I have 14mm's in my Elena and I agree, they are too big! 12mm's work a lot better, IMO. Ive never tried 10mms, but I can try it and post some pics in the next few days if you like.

That would be amazing! I'm placing an order ~tomorrow sometime for new eyes, and I would really love it if you (or someone else) could hold 10mm eyes up to your Little Harmony doll and post if it looks like they'd work well for a realistic look (or if they'd be too small).

 

Heres a quick pic of 10mm's, soory for the bad quality. They look ok, but they are gappy on both sides.

The stupid weather is always against me when I have the time to do face-ups. ;-; But I managed to snatch up a body for my Demetri. (The neck is too long though so I'll have to shorten it. >.<)

 

Been awhile since I last posted a pic of Ryan up here. So here's a little photoshoot I did with him during the last Eid Fitr. I wish I had spent more time to make more outfits for him.

 

To those who own elena, may I ask just how prominent is the tooth gap between the lips? In the official shots it looks very central/obvious which is what I really love about the sculpt, but it looks rather hidden in the picture cydril posted. Just looking for some opinions from owners.

 

It is rather hidden on a blank sculpt. I can post a picture of my Elena's mouth when I get back on Monday if you want!
