Little Monica - Little Harmony Line Discussion

Hey everyone! c: Do the Little Harmony girls have single or double-jointed limbs? It looks single-jointed but I wasn't 100% sure.

 

They have double jointed arms, but single jointed legs

 

As they say... Fiddlesticks. XD Withdoll is the same exact way and sometimes it just drives me crazy! I was thinking of getting a Little Monica body for a hybrid... Might still do it, of course, but, I wonder if that might be modifiable... At least the arms are double-jointed though! Thanks

 

Okay so i posted that i was going to be getting a doll to turn into a Juuzou Suzuya custom, Unfortantly with money issues right now its not going to be possible to have a custom doll. However i am going to be getting the Little Monica Rye 42cm MSD Little Harmony doll and i'm going to be making him Kaija's brother...I found these really cute outfits on Alice's Collections and i think they'd be adorable on Kaija and my new boy. So i am a little sad i can't do a custom boy right now but i love the Little Monica sculpt of Rye so it's all good

 

I have a Little Sophia, and her body is lovely. She poses nicely, and can easily keep her poses stationary. As for head wobbles, I have not experienced that as the body is sturdy and holds poses very well. The only complaint I have with posing is that I find it difficult to lock her arms over a 90 degrees angle using the double jointed system. It especially becomes a little tricky to manoeuvre into place when she's wearing clothes with long sleeves. Otherwise, everything else is nice. I'm a fan of the aesthetic and firm structure.

I only have clothes from Little Monica, Nine9Style and Volks so far and I think they fit her exceptionally well. It's nicely tailored and doesn't look loose-fitting.

Okay. My hopes were answered with Little Monica announcing the release of "Little Haazel" ~ He is the doll I imagined as one of my characters, but his normal size really isn't for me. Clearly, I died seeing the announcement this morning. BUT I am super worried that the Little Harmony boy body is too short. He is supposed to couple with a Dollzone/Minifee hybrid I have who stands at 44cm.

Are Little Harmony boys really 42ish cm?

Does anyone have a DZ girl or Minifee and a Little Harmony boy they could snap together? I'm going to go on resin matching hunt, just in case he's too short for what I am looking for.

 

Hello! Sorry for not replying yesterday, I wanted to measure my doll once more for you just to be sure. He stands at 42cm tall, yes. It varies from head to head (I had my Lariat head on and not my Little Kliff but the difference shouldn't be more than 0.1cm), but their sizing is pretty accurate, yeah.

LITTLE HAAZEL THO

He's so cute!!! I thought they meant they were releasing him and a special version of the little one, nope. Oops. Haazel is my favorite boy from them, I'm happy I get a pocket sized one to tote around now :3

 

Little Haazel has my heart but I can’t reconcile his head on that smaller body. I’m so sad. I will have to look at hybrid options because I just do not like how the head/shoulder proportions look. Good luck to everyone getting him. He truly is a beautiful mini version of the handsome big man.

 

Hi hi, I've been reading up on posts on this thread. Hence, thought of saying, 'hi' All the little monica dolls' pics are really nice. I was seriously torn between Elena and Sophia. Eventually, I ordered a Sophia on Jan 1st. I'm currently waiting for her to arrive . The wait is excruciating lol. I'm currently making the wait more tolerable by reading posts and picking up tips on D.O.A. Have a great weekend, everyone!

 

I got my little Sarubia for Christmas this year. Shes gorgeous. The outfit she's wearing is made for a wine bottle and required minimal sewing to fix up

Yep . Was my Christmas gift and they went all out. The blushing is done beautifully.

That version of Little Sarubia is so beautiful! Glad to see she’s just as stunning as her promo pics Currently I’m excited for Sweet Elena! I’ve always liked her basic version but some familiar faces here may know my obsession with dreamy lids so I’m currently working out finances to be able to order her at her release! May do layaway especially if she has an outfit option, the dress looks gorgeous too.

I just placed my order now too! I opted on the old girl body, white, and with faceup! I stayed up late last night to order but the site was having all sorts of technical difficulties getting her page up, so I just went to bed

 

I just ordered the head with faceup instead. I think I might put it on a Soom Shale body I have, or else I'll just get the LM body later.

Yay lots of Sweet Elena’s! Anyone know what sort of clothes the Little Girl body fits into? I’ll do research too but wanted to ask if anyone had current shop recommendations or at least how they stack up with common MSD sizing? That’ll open up a lot of possibilities I didn’t have before

Sweet Sarubia's blushing is absolutely gorgeous, but I don't like her head shape, it's wide?

 

My Little Sophia is one of my favorite dolls. The little harmony body is very posable, the beautiful resin. I would buy another doll from Little Monica.

 

I’ve been looking at Little Harmony Irin maybe for my first BJD, she is just lovely! I can’t seem to find many pics of her online anywhere - insta, Flickr, etc. Especially not many pictures of her with a face up that isn’t company.

My Emilia is an Irin; I desperately need to redo her, though, because she's WS blushed to NS (she was originally shelling a different character, so now that I've changed that, I need to change her look to match).

Little Haazel has been stuck in New York for one week... hopefully he comes soon. Has anyone else from the winter sales event gotten their dolls yet?

 

I found clothing and shoes by rRabbit is a good fit. as well as Promise of the World (which sadly already closed shop, I believe )

 

@dollsoflace theres some talk of the delays in the Harmony Line discussion! They’re running behind on most orders. Unless they just haven’t come back to update the thread, one person is still waiting on a Sarubia head since December, I believe blank but I’d have to double check that.

 

Yeah. My head is from December too. But if mine shipped, maybe they’re moving along the orders now. Hope to see good news for you all too. They did have a lot of orders during the events so it’s understandable about delays. I can’t wait to see some arrivals.

 

I just received a tracking number for my order placed on 1st of Jan ( full doll with face up). Hence, I think it’s likely that little monica has sorted out the dec orders by now. Hopefully, everyone gets their orders soon

Dropping in to share that after some delays in New York, my Little Haazel finally made it home! I just want to emphasize that in the promos he looks like a younger version of Haazel — almost a bit childlike — but holding the sculpt in my hand, he is truly simply a super handsome small scale Haazel. He is breathtaking even blank!

First of all — he is definitely a very mature sculpt. The promo had me second guess it, but I suppose it was really all in the faceup and clothes they gave him. Compared next to my even the most mature looking of my Minifee, he is definitely more realistic than them. I was also pleasantly surprised that his head isn't as small as I anticipated. I held him up to my Volks Mytyl and the resin is pretty much a match to Volks, but being new as he is, he is a tad paler. What's wrong is that now that I held him up to Mytyl, I think I've found a pairing, and now I want big Haazel for her.

This is how we end up with armies.

The only complaint I have is the area around the eyes are a little thin, yet I know this is something that can happen with a lot of heads. Still, he's even more impressive in person.

I eyed him a lot, because I loooove the Little versions of older Little Monica dolls, but I did get the impression that instead of making Haazel look younger, they just scaled him down the other younger versions are definitely more childlike! I do think this head is better suited for a more adult body~

She is my first doll. Yes she is very adorable.

 

When Little Haazel was released I got his head immediately and then months later I was writing off MSDs. Tried to re-home him but decided to give him a face on my birthday. And now, he’s staying, lol.

Little Monica interests me , can they be hybrid with minifees ? Sorry for being I noob but I love minifee body aesthetics too much and I like little Monica’s heads ..

You can hybrid them sure, but the color won’t match, so you’ll need to blush them head to match the Minifee bodies. I know for sure because I have both now lol.

Oh! What I meant is the hybrid is possible, but I see it that way because I’m not afraid of doing blushing or mods if I really want to make a hybrid work. Here’s a Little Sophia on a Minifee body. And another (NSFW — doll nudity) ~

You’ll need to get rid of the MNF mechanism and just use regular S-hook to connect to the body. I still think mod work is required. I’m not sure if all LM heads have the same neck hole size; it will be something you have to homework. But it’s a high probability you’ll need to mod as shown here. The LM body and Minifee A-line aren’t that drastically different proportion-wise. Have a look.

I can’t say much for the Little Monica posing, as I don’t have this body, but I’ve never been terribly impressed with Fairyland either — especially as I’ve discovered better bodies for posing. But, I do know they’re many people’s cup of aesthetic tea, and a collector should always go for what makes them happy! ^^

As for pictures. I can’t provide any now. I’m in the process of preparing for a trip. What I can say the LM is a paler yellow undertone resin vs Fairyland’s darker peachy tone. Blushing will be a must! Even for white resins. If anything, I think LM is closer to Volks, if only a tad paler. I hope this info leads you to further search whether this hybrid is for you. ^^

 

Did anyone else order Sweet Elena? I just got my head in the mail and she's soooooo pretty. The eyeshadow seems a little less blue than in the promo, but Little Monica's faceups are just so amazing. Even on their little dolls they don't skip a single detail and they just keep getting better and better.

I bought her to fit in an alpaca MNF wig I had and to hybrid with another doll.... but the wig doesn't fit and the color is way off so ooohh no I have another doll now. Shucks xD Time to go shopping~

 

My Sweet Elena is due to arrive tomorrow thankfully I’ll be home to sign for her too!
@Littlebirdzoom yeah LM heads are shaped different and slightly larger than Minifee heads, But you may be able to heat the cap and mold it slightly larger to fit! Hard caps can be malleable in that regard, I’ve done it on an old wig that shrunk because I didn’t stuff it with enough tissue in storage.

 

Larger? I thought they were smaller. @_@ I wish I kept my MNF event heads to compare. The wig fits on her it's just not the right egg shape xD So there's some space in the back that can bend and it makes me nervous. How would you suggest heating it? It's a 4arllin wig so I'd be devastated if something happened to it. The previous owner damaged it enough as it is.

 

None of my hard caps made on my Chloes or Ria are large enough to fit on my Sweet Sarubia, maybe Sweet Elena is smaller? Can touch back on that tomorrow oh I'd be nervous on a 4arllin wig too, hers are expensive and so well made. My method is a hair dryer on warm, but the weakest airflow setting and blow inside the cap. You can ponytail the hair so it doesnt get all blown out of shape when you do it, and only slight warming is enough to make it work. Get it on the dolls head right away and hold it on til ut cools, and itll be a better shape!

However if Sweet Elena actually is smaller than that wig, I'd recommend just getting some double sided tape to keep it from slipping off

I told myself that when Little Monica brought their tan resin back I'd finally cave and get myself that Irin I've been wanting~ Well, I just place an order for her in Choco Brown! I'm so excited!

 

@Boussole congrats! Is she coming with company faceup or will you have her painted yourself? I’m heavily considering hopping on the event for a Caramel Sarubia, I really want Harmony Sarubia but budget may only allow for Little Sarubia given I already have Sweet Sarubia I’d really like the other size to have another!

 

It's so exciting they're bringing back tan, but man, I don't have a reason to order now anymore. Is anyone getting the new Little Enrill in tan?

 

I haven't fully decided how I want to style her just yet, so I'll be getting her blank in case I decide the company faceup doesn't fit her look. I'd hate to spend the money on it and then just scrap it~
