Hello everyone.
Been a while since I posted here, just wanted to share some Sophia love.
Still my grail doll after all these years.

@Amadiel : Such a gorgeous Sophia! She is a lovely angelic mold. Who did her custom faceup? I particularly love her forehead marking

I haven't paid doll tax in a while either, and I don't share this boy nearly enough~ He is one of the Artist Editions of Dyuke customized by Mihwa. I got him several years ago but never really "found his look". I got this leather Dream of Doll outfit in a trade and switched out his wig and voila~ whole new boy!

Guys I'm having issues, I really want that new Sweet Sophia and I don't know what to do. The new Grace Echo body is gorgeous too I'm in love.

 

@DessyChan I'm in the same boat! Sweet Sophia looks so pretty, especially with how they styled her. I think I'm going to order her head sculpt soon so I can make another hybrid. I was originally planning on getting regular Sophia down the line, but I like this sweet version a lot more. I recently received Chloe and she is my first Little Monica doll. I guess it's time to get a second one...

 

I'm really loving the new Grace Echo body. The large bust looks really good,, but I'm questioning how hard it would be to find clothes that would fit that size
Sweet Sophia is really pretty too, and I'm on the fence to whether or not I should get her.

 

Anyone knows a good agent that can allow long layaway plan? I got Gisele vampire last month and now I want to order Roselyn in coco cream with new echo body. I was hoping I wouldn’t like the event skin so I can pass this time but oops too bad. And now my wallet is screwed again lol.

I know denver doll but they don’t lower package value so I’ll end up paying extra few hundreds for tax which is not an ideal.

 

Hello everyone ^_^ It's my first time posting here. I got my very first bjd last month from Little Monica (-:

He's currently on a grace boy body, but I eventually want to hybrid him with a 70cm one. I know there's the grand harmony line, but I was looking at other company bodies like from popo or switch too. I've been doing lots of research on resin matching, but it seems a lot of information is older. Does anyone have any recommendations or pictures of 70 bodies that match well with Little monica normal skin?

I have been looking at the Grace Echo body too! I have a vinyl doll with a larger bust and I haven't had a problem finding lots of clothes for her. I feel the echo body would go well in dollfie dream clothes (:

Luts NS matches with Little Monica NS quite well. Their SSDF should be in the right size range or if you want him to be even taller they have taller guys as well.

Thanks for the info ^^ I just took a look at the ssdf body, looks pretty! Though any taller and the head to body proportion might be a bit off to me I feel. I wonder if little monica would ever touch the 75cm range.

 

Does anyone know which company with white skin match LM white? I want to change the grace girl body to another one as the body drives me crazy. It can’t pose anything good enough. The whole body is like single-joint to me. I like Angell Studio body but not sure their white skin will match, and their neck is thinner than LM

 

Thank you for letting me know! But wouldn't the shoulder areas not fit as I think dollfie dream has narrower shoulder width than the Grace Echo body. Now that Little Monica is offering cocoa cream skintone, I'm thinking about getting Sarubia in that skin tone on Grace Echo. Aaahhh, I already have too many expenses for the month so I wanna say no but also yes lol

 

Unfortunately, the measurements make it really clear that Dollfie Dream clothes are *not* going to fit on the Echo body.

DD waist: 14.5cm
Echo waist: 16.3cm
DD hip: 22.5cm
Echo hip: 25.7cm
DD shoulder width: 12cm
Echo shoulder width: 14cm
DD L bust: 25cm
Echo regular bust: 26.4 <-- already bigger than the largest DD bust size
Echo big bust: 28.8cm

And if you're thinking that DDdy clothes would work, I have more bad news for you: the DDdy bust is still only 26.5cm, about the same size as the Echo *regular* bust, but still waaaaay smaller than the Echo *big* bust.

Maybe some DDdy clothes might work on the Echo's *regular* bust, but you're still dealing with a 2cm difference in the shoulders and a 5cm difference in leg length, meaning any shirts fitted close to DDdy's shoulders won't go over the Echo's broader ones, and any skirts/pants for DDdy will run short on the Echo too.

 

Oh no, that's not good news. I guess at first glance they seemed similar in size, but should have checked the exact numbers. ): This is going to make me reconsider that body.

 

At least skirts made for SDGr girls should fit Grace girls and the new SDF 65 girl body from Luts has similar measurements overall. And I bet Luts is going to release Clothes for her.

But the regular Harmony body has absolutely no problem fitting in SDGr clothing and thus has an amazing selection at her disposal.

 

Hello! I need some advice! I had ordered the Enrill Symphony head a while back. I received it and he is gorgeous! I now have the funds to purchase a body for him, but I wasn't sure which way to go (harmony/grace/grand). I actually don't have any SDs yet, so I don't currently have a preference in size. I was originally leaning towards the Grace body since that's the one in the company photos.

I wonder if those that have multiple sized Little Monica male SDs have any comparison photos? Or even how they look with other company SDs. This probably won't be my last (:

I don't have any comparison photos since I only have one sdboy, but I do have the grace body if you had any questions on it ^^ I wrote a few pros and cons about it on my doll profile too.

Sorry for the late response lol! I've had him for over a year now and I am really satisfied with this body. The sculpt is gorgeous in person, especially the detailing on the hands and torso. Compared to my other BJD, this doll sits so firmly due to a notch on the legs. I never feel unsafe while displaying him since he sits and stands really well. On to possibility, when I first received him he was strung pretty tight so posing was difficult. However, after a year, his range of posing has definitely increased. If you're looking for a body that is good for displaying and looks aesthetically pleasing, the grace body is a great option. If you want to do complicated poses though, the body might not be for you.

I’m just wondering if anyone see the earlobes of vampire sarubia looks bigger than normal earlobes or it’s just me? They looks weirdly big imo. I wish they made pointy ears like vampire chloe but they went with this ear shape

and I’m debating about the sandy gray skin because it looks almost like white skin to me but LM photos don’t really reflect the real colour usually

 

Does anyone feel like that kid in school who raises their hand after a quiz and says "Does Gloomy Vampire Sarubia count as the right answer?"

She's cute, but not needing any seductive vampire ladies right now. I hope they might offer the masks separately though!

 

They do offer the masks separately . And I feel you on that "Gloomy Vampire Sarubia" . She looks amazing but I shall refrain. That wig on the other hand...

Does anyone own the new echo body?
I'm very curious about its posing abilities, and if it's true that works better than the other LM body types.

I searched online for some reviews too but without much luck.

Today I took advantage of the nice weather and took my beautiful Soraya (Roselyn: Symphony) out for some pictures. This isn't her usual style but I think the colors suit her well.

 

Ugh I'm so heartbroken to hear of Little Monica's closing. Their dolls are truly something special... wondering if I should snag those "always admired" dolls before they're gone. With how few I've seen of certain sculpts, no doubt certain LM dolls will become a rarity.

 

Me too, I'm so sad. I just got into the hobby so i haven't gotten one of their dolls but they were on my list to get in the future. I dont currently have the money. So sad..

 

Such a fast shut down too! Last sales in August?
I think dde has some LM dolls in stock but not the ones I was hoping to get. There's no way I can get them all before they go away, what a bummer.

@Cydril : It is very sudden... I was curious as to the reason too but like you, I hope everyone is ok and if this is what they need to do to be ok, then I support the decision. Just so sad when such a big name in our hobby goes away. Reminds me of the shock I felt when Dream of Doll went away. *siiigh* I may finally get an Eden/Enrill if finances allow~

 

Man, that news had me crying all morning. They just released new things, I wonder why it happened so suddenly. To say I'm heartbroken is a massive understatement. They brought all the magic of this hobby to me and I wouldn't be here without them. Nothing can replace the beauty of their dolls and there will forever be a hole in my heart from this loss. I wish we could do something to keep them around, even if it's funding somehow. This world is getting so difficult for everyone to survive in. I truly wish them the best and all the happiness. There will never be another company like Little Monica.

 

Dream of Doll was even worse for me because we never even got a bye your leave, they just up and disappeared. At least with LM I can pick up some heads I'd been meaning to get. It'd be nice if they offered them in choco brown or some other tan though.

 

omg I'm so sorry. That sounds so difficult to deal with and get past. I'm very nervous that they will get too many orders and close early. I plan on ordering 5 or so heads of the tops wishlist ones I've been wanting. There's so many sculpts I want, but money is so difficult right now. If they offered any tan shade at all I'd be over the moon. It seems quite a few people want it, so let's hope they consider it.

 

It's so weird they decided to close suddenly after new sculpt release this summer and new clothes. I know they make most of sale during events, especially with limited skin colour, so I don't understand why they don't offer more events like that to make sales. They even attended the doll event in Korea and sold offline Sweet Sophia.

There are so much potential they could do. One thing I could think of is the sculptor or the founder decided to quit and they have no one to keep the brand going. It's a pity because I haven't found any company offering such special resin type. Their resin feels good and not shiny like other brands. I hope they offer all special skin colour and limited sculpts in their last sale so people can get the chance to collect their dolls.

 

I'm glad they gave us a forewarning so people can do their best to save and get something before they close their shop.

It is such a shock... I never expected them to close. They seem fairly popular. But perhaps there are more personal issues at play. People can only speculate, but again, I do hope the people behind Little Monica's brand are ok. I'm so happy they shared their art with us as long as they did.

I would love it if their tan resins were available for their final sale, but I suppose it's up to them if they have time/capacity to accommodate all the special resin colors. Regardless I do think I'm going to try to get Enrill and Eden at least. Maybe Kun too. >_<;

 

I was a little confused... Does the final sale start on August 1st and goes on for two months? Or August 1st is the last date to purchase anything?

Been waiting for gloomy Roselyn so long but it seems to me that the head would not put on this sale ...

 

The sale will start on August 1, but I think they should update their website because many people will try to access for purchase. There will be a lot of questions so I'm not sure 2 months are enough for them to close the sale.

I regret I didn't get Sweet Sophia head, since I mostly just want to get their dolls in special skin colours. I just really hope they will open all limited skin last time

 

I’m actually so devastated, my first doll was a Little Monica Luke and I had always hoped that as I got older I could collect more of their dolls. I really wanted a grace echo body and now I feel like I’ll never get a chance to own one.

Wow, this is some sad news. I have been interested in this company for years and haven't gotten anything yet. I have been eyeing Hush while my friend wants Haazel. If the price is right, maybe we can bring them home.

Hopefully, I can place the order when I get paid this Friday.

I wonder if the company will offer layaway and looks like several ppl in the q&a section were wondering as well.

I really regretted not getting sweet Sophia so I'm glad that they're offering all the limited heads, but I wish they fave us a earlier heads up. I'm trying out for Volks Pink House next month too, so I'm not sure if I'll be able to get Sweet Sophia with grace Echo body now.

 

I was really hoping they'd have a tan option. I've been wanting a tan or choco brown Enrill for a while now. I guess there's always dye.

 

Ok, so in their newest announcement they said that they plan on taking orders for 2 months, but will give a heads up if they plan on stop taking orders earlier.
Gonna have to think about if I can afford to pay for the entire doll this month
Also, yes with tan skins! Would love to get Sarubia in tan but maybe that's for the best as I wouldn't be able to afford 2 dolls

 

Does anyone know which head is modeling this wig? I thought it was Chloe at first, but the eyes seem more open then the regular Chloe head.

Luckily I snatched Roselyn and Laura in soft choco from 2nd hand market before this announcement. But I regret not ordering Chloe with sandy gray last year. Now most of my girls will be in white skin lol.

I see people are asking about Monica head. I wish they sell Gloomy Monica head too because well why not?

 

I would have the points necessaryto become a VIP. So I was looking forward to receive Monica next February . Guess that won't happen.

And I'm bummed about the lack of tan skin option as well. But I guess my wallet's glad about it.

 

Bummer, I had a feeling none of the tans would be reoffered. Makes sense, when you're trying to close up shop, the last thing you want to do is overcomplicate orders by offering your entire catalog of sculpts in 4-5 different resin colors.

Now waffling on which heads to get. Way too many FOMO feelings now~ I am trying to be good... but I want like 3 heads and my cart is getting unreasonable. >__<

 

The model for that wig looks very similar to the 2016 Gloomy Yuria sculpt.

@Majorshay Oh, you're probably right! I missed this Gloomy version of her, and only saw the other where it looked like she had teeth.

 

I FOMOed my way into debt and picked up most of the heads I wanted. 2 full dolls I didn't want to miss out on too. Even though the list is still long. Had to decide between things I need to secure and things I am okay with maybe taking a while to look for. Super bummed out about no tan, but totally understandable.

This may be an odd question, but I'm actually really upset that they aren't going to keep the website up. I know it costs money, but it's a piece of doll history. Does anyone know if it's possible websites can be "saved"? Or backed up? I'm saving a ton of the pictures now because I loved their photo stories. I'm not the best with tech so I hope the question isn't ridiculous.

 

I get you. I order 4 heads and 1 grace echo body. I was debating if I should get the body because I have another grace echo but in cocoa cream. And then thinking if I should switch to harmony body end up to be more than 1k
