@taichas the magnetic line has not been in production for a long time, the magnet aspect failed immediately and Little Monica replaced all the orders with strung versions of the dolls. It has never been introduced for any other of their lines, so you’ll have no issues at all

I never bought little Monica doll before, can anyone tell me how is their body mobility? Can it stands steady?

The only SD body I have experience with is their male Grace body and I do not recommend it if you can help it. Some of the worst posing I've encountered in a while. Just couldn't do anything correctly. If someone has a better experience with this particular body please prove me wrong because it's so pretty and I wanted to love it.

As far as I know with the other bodies people like them enough?

I'm talking specifically about the grace male body. I have no experience with others, but they look not horrible, not amazing. Above basic but it depends what you want. I wouldn't mind having one I don't think, just not the grace bodies xD

 

I own(ed) all versions of Harmony Girl body (NOT the grace line, the original) and they’re average. They can do what I prefer, stand, sit, pull knees to their chest, and slouch. I’ve also gotten some cute off-balance/one#footed poses with them. The elbows are funky though, and bending range is limited. But they can swivel, so that’s a plus to counter the lack of mid-range hinge. I hope this makes sense in words heel legs are pretty unstable especially with other brand shoes, but hey there’s no ankle joint so it’s somewhat expected. Heel feet have an easier time finding balance.

I haven’t owned any of their boy bodies so I couldn’t vouch for those.

 

Curious if anyone has seen owner pictures of Layla or Laura (other than mim_nm on Instagram) like on Twitter or anything? I can't find a single one and I'm really in need. Especially Layla.

 

My Giselle came back from getting work done again, I'm so happy with him! He got modded and repainted, as well as body modifications and head-body matching. Now he just needs me to remake his wig

The angle makes it hard, but it's definitely not a Sophia. Looking up close and seeing the white eyelashes combined, the shape of the eyeliner, the shape of the cupid bow and lips/lip paint... everything is screaming the VIP Monica to me.

She is also currently on her way home to me as some weird, expensive gamble I was willing to take because reasons. Well, not me, but an early holiday gift from my husband. Monica is the perfect girl I never thought I'd get. So either it's going to be her or it's going to be the most expensive basic head I've ever bought XD

And now I'm wondering what resins match with LM white.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has have the Grace Harmony male body and what do you think about the poseability? I've seen earlier in this thread that some have said it's not that great at posing, but it looks nice and would probably be a good match for a hybrid I have in mind so I'm hoping to hear more about the Grace male body.

A bit of background: I do have the Harmony boy body type B (63cm), and have owned the type A body as well. I've found that the knees can be a bit weird sometimes. The pelvis joint in the 3-part torso body gives me more trouble so I prefer the 2-part torso joint which the Grace body has so I'm hoping it'll be at least similar to their 63cm body's poseability, if nothing else.

 

I've decided to order Laura in purple with the B faceup as I think it would look just gorgeous on her. She would look like an elf. I've been planning to get Laura some time next year because I adore her, but purple~

 

I couldn't stand the Grace body. He couldn't do a single thing I wanted, even sit properly and stay that way. However, I also didn't try to fix it. The poses seen in the body's page are pretty much the extent of it. His slouch and arch is sad (like, equivalent to a MNF hip "joint". doesn't move, why is it even there?). The body is definitely meant for looks over anything else, but depending on what you want to do it's not the worst thing out there. The Harmony body is better at posing than the Grace in my experience, but I didn't own them both at the same time for a direct comparison.

 

First of all, thank you for your detailed reply! For the last part, if you've handled both Harmony and Grace body and think the Harmony body poses better, then I'm reconsidering on the Grace body hah... in my opinion, the harmony body was okay, but not great per se...

Some questions: when you mention he can't sit properly and stay that way, do you mean he would lean back and go to a lying position? For example, does he need something to support his back to sit straight? I'm not the type to need my dolls to do alot but they have to be able to sit and stand well minimally because that's how I leave then out or pose them in photos. If they can't even sit without support then it might really be an issue (I already have one body like that, I don't want another )

Also, about torso posing, I took a closer look at the official photos and the torso range of motion doesnt look like much. But if he can at least sit without support I might be able to overlook that >_<

 

I actually ordered a Luke head on the Grace Harmony Boy body at the beginning of November and I took a risk because there is absolutely nothing online about that body. I have high hopes about the possibility from looking at the photos, seems he also has double jointed knees. I’ll most likely be getting him this month so I’ll do my best to post photos and talk about the body when I get him!

 

Ive already placed my order but I just came across a post about how useless the heel leg is... problem is, I ordered the heel leg with my doll, and only the heel leg X.X

Can anyone confirm if the Grace / Harmony girl can wear Volks SDgr high heels and be able to stand in it?

I got my mail, and the head I got is definitely Monica Words cannot explain my excitement. I was going to get Gloomy Sophia and Enrill if I could afford it, but I think I'll be getting Gloomy Sophia and a body for Monica instead if I can. She is gorgeous.

Congratulations, Im really happy you could get one without having to first qualify becoming a VIP White member! She's been there for quite a while, if I recall correctly, I remember seeing her in Nakano Broadway last august. Im sure many who have passed her are regretting it now that you have successfully identified her as the exclusive Monica (with the default faceup too!)

Which body are you getting her on? I personally always loved the pictures of her on the Grace Harmony body, I like her longer neck and broader shoulders, it fits Monica's mature face but I can also see her just as beautiful on the Harmony body.

Did you place your order for Laura in purple? I just checked back the thread to see any mention of the high heel leg, and how it fits SDgr Girl by Volks heels and I came across your post. I promise you its complete coincedence that Ive considered ordering the same thing but switched to Giselle last minute.

Ive seen some event pictures and the choco tan looks very beautiful, sort of similar to Fairyland Tan. Snow purple Im surprised to see looks almost white with a slight purple tint, I expected it more purple but its still beautiful.

 

Interesting! She just showed up on the website shortly before I bought her (I check way too often). So I wonder why no one bought her.

Not sure what body I want her on. I still need to research the Grace body mobility, because the male Grace body (as I've mentioned above) is a nightmare. So I figured I'd just get her on the Harmony body. I wish I could stick her on a white SD16 body though, but I'd probably have to blush the neck and that's a pain. I did buy Gloomy Sophia in purple instead since I adore her so much! I got the high heel feet instead of the whole leg though. I might go back and get Laura in purple as well if I can afford it because the idea of it is just dreamy!! I want to see your Giselle when you get her! did you order her with a faceup?

Can you show us links to the tan? I loved it, but I'm so picky about tan colors and the last few browns LM released were so goddamn dark and weird.

 

Which little Monica doll has the inside label of HA27? I think that would be a regular harmony doll.

LM used to sell their sculpts through Ndoll?
I have an MSdoll Drayton vampire but in his headcap is a piece that says Ndoll.
Am I making things up or does Drayton have some resemblance to Harmony Demetri? I wonder if it's the same sculptor.

I’m not sure if I’m the only one hasn’t receive Innocent Enrill (Head) yet.

The order has been placed from little Monica official website on last Christmas, which has been almost 6 month by now... their expected shipping time was about 4 month.

10 days ago I sent an enquiry through their website, but no one get back to me. Then I sent them an email this Wednesday in case their website has got some problem receiving questions, again, no one get back to me.

This is my first time shopping with little Monica and so far it doesn’t feel good. I’m not sure if they forgot about my order, or the shipping has been delayed. But I wish someone at least can contact me and give me an update.

Just wonder if anyone have the same problem?

 

I have had some of my orders take 6 months, so I wouldn’t get worried about it being forgotten. Have you checked the message board? All the messages from ten days ago have been responded to!

gloomy + secret roselyn are out! they look so good. roselyn is my favorite LM girl so i'm glad she's getting releases! but sad i can't get them, haha.

Hey, I'm still pretty new to the hobby and I have a kind of silly question- was the vampire Enrill a one-off event, or does he come back every Halloween?
I've kind of fallen in love with Vampire!Enrill, but I don't know how easy it'll be to find a one-off rare sculpt.

 

@cherubkeats - No dumb questions! It's all overwhelming when you're new.

So the term "one-off" means more like one-of-a-kind which is literally 1 doll worldwide. The Vampire Enrill versions were not one-offs, rather they are considered "limited editions" because they were offered for a limited period of time and so there are more than 1 worldwide.

From what I've seen Limited Little Monica dolls aren't impossible to find 2nd hand (and usually decent 2nd hand prices)... but they aren't the most common. Little Monica seems to favor Enrill when they do limited releases, so I feel confident that another Vampire Enrill will grace us once again. He has had 3 SD (large size doll) releases as a Vampire and one in the little MSD size.

Vampire Enrill is so pretty.

Yeah, I have a couple MSDs (they were presents from a friend who was thinning out her collection) and I'd like to start thinking about getting my first SD.

 

@cherubkeats : Yes its interesting how terms change meanings across hobbies. But yeah, Vamp Enrill is gorgeous and I'm gonna assume the sales have been substantial since he's had 3 vamp versions. Just gotta keep your eyes peeled.

And as a collector of mostly SDs, they are my favorite size. I have one SD Little Moncia and he's amazing. They are very well made high quality dolls!

 

He's actually just become available again today .

Haha yesterday I was thinking to myself: "I think I have all the dolls I need for now. I'm going to resist Souldoll's Judith and just focus on the dolls I have." And then Little Monica dropped their event on us .

So I guess I need a Symphony Roselyn in the event skin . I'll think about it for a few days as I always do but I'm pretty sure I'll get her.

Anyone else taking advantage of their new event?

 

@laquaza I really didn't understand what their event was about when I first read the graphic and now coming here I'm realizing it's a mass re-release of all their special limited dolls!!! This must be a dream (or nightmare) for people! ...and also with the inclusion of tan resin. I'm going to be kind to myself and throw my phone and laptop out the window so I don't look too hard.

A Symphony Roselyn is going to look like a dream in that tan color! I hope you get her~

 

Yes and my boss just convinced me to work full time for 2 months. I guess I know where that extra money is going . And I was confused by their graphic as well at first.

I'm not sure why it was so confusing to me. When I stopped myself to read it, it made sense... but it just felt convoluted at first glance. I've been looking at their site too much... I'm kinda tempted by the sleepy Broken Enrill, but I'm in the process of purchasing a new home and brain is like... "You can't live inside a doll you nut!". Hope others will take advantage of this wonderful event. A lot of companies never do mass re-releases like this!

I wish I could participate in the limited release event so badly!! But only being available as full dolls puts them out of my budget, so I do hope y’all can get some beauties and share them!

Yes there has been. He was released back in 2010 (OMG 10 years ago... ) Here is his old sales page (HERE), it's hard to find on their site. The first version was very much in the style of old BJD vampire releases... basically elf ears and fangs, but I always thought he was cute. Sadly this version is not included in the Special Event sale going on now. Just his later incarnations with the gloomy eyes and open mouths.

 

I've just placed my order for Symphony Roselyn in the event skin. And they were kind enough to add the event skin option to the additional parts (heel feet and fist hands) for me.
I am still not used to this kind of customer service but so far doll manufacturers have been a lot more accommodating than lolita brands . Obviously it's a different market and dolls are made to order unlike lolita clothing. But still. I am really grateful they are willing to work with their customers so much.

On another note I am kinda sad the Grace girl body has no torso joint. Otherwise I might have ordered this body instead of the Harmony girl body.

And I feel the same about the grace body, I’ve considered it and then decided against it for the same reason

 

@laquaza : Congratulations! Can't wait to see that beautiful head mold in that tan color! LM has always been a great company. I've ordered only one doll directly from them, but they were so quick to process, and their presentation is just wonderful. I'm not surprised they were so helpful~

I'm rather surprised that the Grace body wouldn't get a torso joint either like their older bodies. Usually as doll companies release more bodies, the engineering becomes more intricate as well. Oh well~ She'll look great on the Harmony too.
