Little Monica - Harmony Line (Part 3)

Little Monica had updated on their Twitter account that their final sale ends in less than 2 weeks, am really sad to say goodbye to them and their lovely dolls

Hope that everyone who wanted a head or doll from them managed to get their order in! Even though this will probably the only time I could order directly from them, am glad to join everyone in supporting them at least once.

 

Forgive me if this has been posted before, but I couldnt find it. Does anyone know good resin matches for LM white skin? I was hoping to get Luts bodies for my incoming girls but I know LM is very pink-white.

 

@Cydril I think I've read that Switch Rosy white is a decent match for LM white, and Luts real skin white as well. So, maybe you can look into those.

 

Actually Switch Rosy White is paper white, while LM is pink white, so unless you makeup the face it’s not a perfect match.

 

I should receive a WS Luts doll (from 2020) in the next two weeks or so. When she arrives I can compare her to LMs WS (2020 and 2022).
Because I heard someone say they don't match that well. Or at least not as much as NS does. But I haven't seen Luts WS in person yet.

 

@laquaza If you'd be able to take a comparison picture that would be really helpful! I've been reading from some sources that Luts WS and Little Monica WS are good matches, while other sources say that they don't match. But the heads I ordered won't arrive for a bit so I can't confirm till then.

 

Every single Rosy white I've gotten from Switch has been pink white. Certainly not what I would call paper white. Perhaps LM is just even more pink toned.

 

I’m not sure but I have a pair of bunny ears and the Taerin Eclipse head and both of them don’t have pink tone in their resin. The bunny ears puts next to LM white skin looks like paper white, while Taerin colour is closer to AS milk, which doesn’t have pink tone in it either

 

sooo tempted to snag a Tommy head because I think his button nose is just so adorable but I'm currently trying to save for a few other dolls atm... Also love sweet Sophia, I wish they had released just her head, as I cannot afford another $600+ doll

 

Can't you get the heads separately? I'm pretty sure they added that option for their limited heads.

 

@strawberry_parade If you select "Special Harmony Head" and scroll down the type options, Sweet Sophia head is available there!

 

At the very last minute, I finally ordered Sweet Sophia full doll, the heads of Vampire Sarubia and regular Sarubia. All in white skin. I would have loved to get full body for the Sarubia, but I'm already pushing it with the total cost, so I gotta make the cut somewhere. I haven't paid attention much to hybrid Little Monica heads, so guess I gotta worry about that now . I've never made a hybrid before, so this is kinda exciting too.

Regarding a possible WS match between Luts and LM:
I just got a Luts WS doll from 2020 and it doesn't match . Luts WS is a lot creamier and warmer than LM WS.

It's the middle of the night here so I can't take pictures currently but I'll take some another day.

 

Oh man... I wish I knew that before I made my hybrid plans. I really wanted the Luts muse body too.

 

I ordered some migidoll hands in 2 different white skins to see if they matches LM WS, since I saw many Korean collectors hybrid LM heads with migidoll body. The hands will arrive tomorrow so I should be able to give an update.

The downside is migidoll doesn't open for body order frequently so you have to wait though. I do like their grace body so if the WS matches I'll get one this month.

Oh that would be wonderful! I am, too, thinking of hybriding a Sophia head with Migidoll body.
I can never catch their sale because I always have something else to buy....

 

Maybe Luts Zuzu White might be a better match compared to Luts WS? Saw this tweet comparing Little Monica WS with both Luts WS and Zuzu White and the Zuzu White does look like a decent match.

 

I just received the Migidoll hands and sadly their Milk White is paper white compare to LM pink white. There it goes my hybrid plan. But their Sugar White matches my Taerin rose white and AS milk so I may get one body in that colour.

I’m kinda regret not getting another LM white body now. I’m messaging an agent to see if they can squeeze in another order of body with big bust for me, since I have too many floating heads and 1 body isn’t enough.

I’m thinking of Souldoll new white skin. They said it has pink tone so that’s an option too. If anyone has Souldoll that can confirm the resin match it would be great.

 

Feeling a bit of hybrid blues too, but I really did not want to get their Grace Harmony body after reading reviews. It would be ideal if my floating head could just share the body with my Luts doll, since that was my original hybrid plan.

At this point if the difference isn't too big, I'm still willing to accept a hybrid option if the body poses well and the proportions match. Maybe blush the hands to match the face more.

I've heard that for Little Monica, their resin also varies quite a bit depending on the batch. Would anyone with Little Monica WS resin from different batches be able to confirm this?

 

I use LM WS from 2020 and 2022 on a frankenstein'd body. There wasn't much difference to me. Or at least I am pretty sure the difference comes from very slight yellowing. But the inside of the head from 2020 still looks the same as the my 2022 sample.

There's a good chance DF-H has a WS sample from Little Monica. The 58cm girl's neck should still fit while their 63cm girl's neck is definitely too thick.

And I took the WS resin comparison pictures with Luts WS but I still need to crop them small enough for DOA and add the text. I'll try to do so tomorrow.

 

I have seen hybrid of DF-H big girl body with Roselyn head. DF-H will work but I don’t like their resin. It’s too shiny compare to the matte look of LM resin.

Sb told me LM white skin will loose the pink tone over time, but my Giselle still looks very pink after 2 years. In photos she looks almost paper white though. And I don’t think LM white resin is different every time. I got Giselle in white bc sb told me their white shines like pearl, and it’s exactly like that. It has a translucent look itself. I still haven’t found any other white like that. If it’s not bc of LM hands I wouldn’t think of hybrid.

 

So I finally got my ass up and finished the resin comparison between Little Monica and Luts:

It’s a surprised to see LM WS turns more pinkish over time haha. I heard their WS would turn paper white but it’s not true.

 

I've heard that LM white can be matched with supia light rose white. I'm actually thinking of pairing the head I ordered with supia ballerina body. I wonder about the proportions, has anyone done this match before?

 

Does LM white perhaps match Dollfie Dream Semi white? If so Sadol has several SQLab girl bodies that can be ordered in DD SW.

And I initially thought LM white would be as pink as Rosenlied’s white but it is even pinker. I did preorder an AkagiDoll big baby body in RL white to make a big baby Gloomy Sarubia… hopefully the colour difference wont be too stark with a faceup.

I just got notice that my LM heads have shipped.

 

My heads showed up today, and they look lovely. I got mine in white, which is a very light bubble gum pinky white color. Compared to my Switch Rosy white dolls the heads make Switch RS look almost normal peach in comparison.

 

My heads arrived yesterday and I've been putting off opening them up. I want to see them but I'm also so sad this will be my last LM box opening :{

Sorry for the double post- Heres LM NS and WS against 4S Doll. The NS is a decent match, LM is a little bit lighter.

 

I ordered Haazel with a harmony boy body back in September to save money but I kinda regret it now since it might not suit Haazel

Now I'm trying to decide if I should make a hybrid or just hope it looks good with Haazel's head :,)

 

Speaking of hybrids, does anyone happen to know how big the neck hole is for Eden or their other 1/3rd scale heads are? I really want the Luts Muse body but since it's been released in another version I'm not sure which to pick. (/threads/luts-mychoice-senior-delf-muse-release.863974/)

Any guidance would be appreciated!

Edit: I found the neck measurements for the Grace Harmony body 's neck. I answered my own question! Good news, the new Luts body should work well with my precious Eden head!
I'm looking forward to making baby's first hybrid!!

Hello all! I got my LM Chloe in on Dec.14th and I was blown away by how beautiful she is. Feeling really sad that I didn't order from them sooner.

Unfortunately, I thought that LM white would match Sadol white since others said LM white was a pink-tone, but I was surprised to see Chloe was a lot more ghostly pale than I thought! (Photo of White Chloe on White Sadol neck in the spoiler below.) I tried comparing her with every white skin doll I have and she beats everyone out except a Miracledoll Jing I got earlier this year.

Hope this tiny shred of info helps anybody in some way at least. For now I'm alright with keeping her like this since the body is as pretty as she is.

So I'm reviving this thread as my Sweet Sophia + grace harmony body and Sarubia heads are here! I'll maybe take pics later. I'm thinking about getting the dreaming doll 16elva body for my Sarubia in their pink white skin tone.

 

Ok so it turns out that I accidentally ordered Sweet Sophia in Normal skin instead of white skin I feel so dumb that I didn't notice my mistake until the doll arrived. She's still beautiful, but I love Little Monica's white skin and got the bust and flat feet in white skin.
Idk I was so excited but what a let down due to my mistake. So I'm on a hunt for Sweet Sophia in white skin and also the grace girl echo body in white skin as well. I did find white skin sweet Sophia head in the market place and hopefully it's still available for sale.

 

I am so sad Little Monica is no longer existing.. :/ I loved especially their Halloween events and it was super exciting see what they come up each year.

I have my LM white skin girls on Souldoll New Zenith Girl body in white. The match is okay especially with face up on, so I am going to buy another Souldoll girl body at some point.
I cannot remember where I read Volks white matches with LM white (I think Volks normal matches LM normal thou). I have Volks white body and it was more yellow undertone compered to LM in my eyes. I did dye the body + head anyway, so it does not really matter to me, but just in case someone wonders this in the future.

 

But thanks for sharing Souldoll WS works okay with LM WS . However Little Monica NS does not match Volks NS.

And I agree their halloween dolls were always a delight to see.

 

LM white and Supia white resin are also an exact match.

Before their closing they have always had very good customer support and they always answered my emails rather quickly. But that was all before September 2022. So it's not helpful . They probably let go most of their staff already but I think they'll still go through their open emails. It'll just take longer.

I always contacted them through [email protected] but I imagine that's the same email address you were writing to.

But if you know someone who speaks Korean it might be worth a try to contact them in Korean.

 

I think everyone in the waiting room who ordered towards the end (28th and 29th Sept 2022) have all received their orders already.

For people who've tried to contact Little Monica since they've closed down, it has taken Little Monica a least at few days to reply to any emails, but it looks like everyone did receive a reply.

 

Ooh that’s very good to know! Somebody has written in the LM Little Harmony discussion topic around ten years ago, that LM and Volks NS match nicely, so I always thought that.

If someone is still looking for Roselyn, Sweet Sophia or Laura sculpts Dolk BJD website still has few Little Monica heads/dolls in stock. They aso have some Little Harmony (Little Sophia, Enrill, Elena etc) and Honey Harmony line heads. I decided to get Laura head in WS on layaway, because she was one of the Harmony line heads I liked, but did not end up ordering in the final sale. I am liiitttle bit nervous of how long the shipping will take in the end, since people seem to have waited for months for their Dolk orders (not the Japan based Dolk) to ship, but hoping for the best.

 

Not sure if anyone's still following this thread but if anyone knows: what does Girl C mean on littlemonica's certificate?

 

Coming back to the resin match question, does anyone know if LM white is a close match to any of Withdolls white? I'm looking at their light rosy white and rosy white which both seem to have a pink undertone.

I have a Little Monica doll in white - but my Olivia is NS.
I should look into that C thing, though.

 

There's a great resin comparison thread in reference that compared LM and Withdoll whites. I think the consensus was older LM dolls look better with rosy white and newer ones with light rosy white: /posts/13068256/

New Volks Pure Skin Normal can be an acceptable (but not perfect) match with new Little Monica Normal:
Sophia Head (2022) on Volks SDGr Girl body (2022)
Little Monica is a little bit lighter, brighter, and more yellowy than Volks, but it's not a dramatic difference. With a face-up and blushing, it definitely could pass for a match.

However, I did discover a perfect resin match for LM Normal: Luts Real Skin Normal!
LM Sophia Headcap (2022) with Luts Real Skin Normal neck piece (2023) in indoor light and outdoor light

 

I just checked this thread again and see your post. May I ask which supia white are you talking about? Because supia changed their resin colour and I’m not sure which one is the match. I got all my LM order and want to get another white body for the heads.
