Hi Valli The bob wig is a 3-4 can't remember what brand, it doesn't have a tag in it. I looked in my other tiny wigs and they also don't have tags in them, I guess they are just too small to fit them in. Cheers May
mary-lee, thank you! maisiedoats, I love Lilica's blond wigs, which look great with her blue eyes and dresses.
The wig is darling. Yes, the detail is amazing, I love it! So much more detailed than any other outfit I have seen for Lilica. Hugs Mary-Lee
Does anyone happen to know all of the old Little Genie sculpts? I'm editing the AngelRegion Wiki and I would like to know. So far I only have Lilica, Edward, Mini Ren and Kohaku.
The originals were Lilica and Edward, who were sculpted by Rainman. In 10/2006 several other fullset versions were added (Mr. Hamster, Queen of Hearts, Gloomy Rabbit, etc), but they were repaints of those two face molds. A third face mold, Mini Ren, was added at that time, and I'm not sure who sculpted him. He's pretty different from Lilica and Edward. He appeared to have white skin, but I've never seen owner pics, so I'm not sure. Risi and Ziti are the newer face sculpts released last year. They use the standard Genie body. I'm not familiar with Kohaku...is it a different size, perhaps? I don't recall a Genie size new face sculpt with that name, and nothing comes up when I Google it. Can you post a picture? Edit: Ah, I see...you went to Gigglegeek. Koharu is just an Edward repaint, just as "Memorial Genie" is a Lilica. If you're editing the Wiki, please check on the price listed. The price on my Genie Lilica in 2005 was $220, not $175. I do not believe I had a choice on faceup, and it's not listed on my receipt. Unfortunately, the website change eliminated all their store records from back then.
clochette, great info. I really didn't know anything about these dolls, even though I have one. Rainman designed Lilica! no wonder I love her!
De nada. You fill your home with enough of these little people, you learn a thing or two along the way (plus, I just happen to have a Lilica fetish Wonder who caused that......) . I still wonder if anyone bought Mini Ren...I can't recall ever seeing owner pictures of him. Has anyone else?
Lilica is enjoying being out of her box, she spent such a long lonely time there being neglected. Cheers May
Thanks Clochette I am always on the look out for tiny motifs but they are hard to find. Sfbeck Yes Lilica's dress would suit for St Patricks Day, I forgot all about knitting some this year. TJ001 Risi is lovely and looks so different with the white skin. Cheers May
Eek! Something's growing on her head! tj001 How cute. Is she a plant fairy? clochette, I love your girl's eye color, especially with her cute dress.
ha ha sfbeck, yeah she is risi the apple fairy (has a cute little apple suit too) clochette, hi to frankie, wow she looks like a different girl, it's amazing what skin colour and a different wig can do!
Thanks...they're her defaults, and seem to be the same color as the ones that came with Grace, my Queen of Hearts Lilica. I really like them, which is unusual for me and acrylics. Part of it is also the set of the eyes. These girls can look so very different...my two Lilicas are the same way. Same facemold, very different looks.
Thanks for all the beautiful pictures of Genie. There are very few people on this thread. Clochette your little babies are adorable as always. Maisiedoats ,I like your green knitted dress .I wish I could knit as well! Cherry -Risi is a cutie ;but where is the worm ?
tj001 I forgot to ask...is that the wig she came with? If not, where did you get it? It's really cool.
clochette, yes, that's what I love about bjds, the look of a single mold can be changed so drastically! By the way, both your Lilicas are adorable!
Lilica just popped in to wave hello and show off a jumpsuit that was really for a Kelly doll but she wanted to try it on. Ooh ooh !! Cheers May
Maisiedotes and Valli, two darling girls with great outfits. My Kelly dolls are almost all naked because my tiny bjds keep stealing their clothes!
My two girls got to model at today's meetup: Fee in a sundress Grace modeling a new mod dress design...waiting on some new trim to finish them up, not digging the ricrac. (Fee thinks Poppet's dress looks mighty familiar.... )
Clochette, two darling styles from the '60s! Fee looks like a tiny hippy and Grace is a mod... what a memorable decade!
Thanks sfbeck, I've been trying to make some different styles with all the interesting fabric that's out there at the moment. Bright/mod print is everywhere! Valli...that's actually Fee's favorite dress. She wears it whenever she goes someplace special It looks so good with her hair.
So many people with adorable tinies in this thread...I'm hoping that one of you might be able to help me out, since I'm a total noob. I bought a Risi for my daughter, and she's cute as can be - but she's strung so tightly that she keeps slapping herself in the face, kneeing herself in the tummy, and even lightly touching her head makes it jerk to the side! I looked for some kind of tutotial on restringing these teeny creatures, but I haven't been able to find one. Is it difficult to do? Are there even tools made for the job?? Any help would be SO appreciated!
Fee met a new friend at Wondercon this weekend The armor is resin, just like she is! celga I just restrung Fee a week or so ago...it's not hard at all, and the only tools you really need is a pair of hemostats and some ribbon. Nothing fancy. Is there enough slack above the knot in her head to loosen it, perhaps?
^ Lol, that picture is priceless! Um...there's supposed to be a knot in her head? All I see is the S hook and a bit of the elastic that's looped over it. The knot must be hiding elsewhere. ^^; Here she is, by the way, undoubtedly begging for help from anyone but me. She poses just fine...as long as we bend only one limb at a time, and at less than a 45 degree angle. Beyond that, she tends to start curling up like a dead spider. XD
The knot is probably slipped down into her body. You could always try wiring her...thread some plastic-coated thin wires into the elastic channels of her arms and legs (like twist-ties they use to hold together cords when you buy something). They should go from ankle to hip on each leg, and thread one long one through the upper torso from wrist to wrist. That works really well on my Elfdoll tinys.
Thanks, clochette, I'll give that a try! I really need to suck it up and learn how to restring, though. I just wish I could find a tutorial aimed at these little ones in particular; I'm so afraid I'll take her apart and not be able to put her back together properly.
Honestly, they're not any different than the bigger kids, you only really need to be concerned with attaching the hands and feet. I usually replace the original string with stiff thread, like for stringing necklaces. There are a ton of restringing tutorials on YouTube
Thanks so much for this information! I'm a fan of Angelregion but not of tiny-sized doll so I'm gladd you helped me out. You can edit the Wiki yourself by the way, not that I don't want to but it's nice to add your own first-hand information on i.e. prices.
Is it possible to bump up this thread! No more little Genie?Where are they all gone?My Lilica would like to say Hi!
And Poppet waves hello too, though she seems rather busy riding her new car. LOL Can you believe it by ValliPink, on Flickr Waving hello to Fee, too.

Adding to the revival of this thread, since I'm fortunate to own a Little Gienie Ren, a mini-me for one of my Littlefair Ren girls. When I bought LG Ren off the Marketplace in 2012, I had no idea Angelregion made Rens in that size. Haven't seen any others since!
Congratulations for your little Ren! I am still in love with lilica,(angelregion)...and Yuja (Soom-neo angelregion).. I am so happy to see your pic !
My girlies are still here, Fee is still the favorite and travels with me, but I'm not as good about taking pictures as I used to be, sadly. Good to see some Edwards and a Ren, I don't have either of those molds. I always keep an eye on the marketplace just in case a Lilica appears, but it's been a long time. Oh my goodness, I love this little Ren, did they come with the black lip paint? I've been spending an excruciating amount of time on the "way back machine" trying to find stock images of Little Gienie's but almost every link is broken though.
So sweet all of them together. I'm so new to these Angel Region tinies. I just want them all and I want to see the stock images that are no longer available.
@midolls*melissa, as far as I know, the black lip paint was default, which makes sense since their Littlefair Ren was styled that way It's sad that so much info has been lost or can't be easily accessed. I wish that when I was first seriously collecting I'd tried to copy and save more things.
I hope to find one Little Gienie Ren some day. I have 3 of the Little Fair Ren so far none with the black lip paint unfortunately. All of these dolls seem so reclusive so to speak. Having just found them it is kind of like a treasure hunt and helps to not only delay gratification but also to slow my growing collection.
It makes me wonder how many of the old Angelregion dolls were made, and what happened to them all. They seemed to be popular back in 2005-2006, when I was first on DoA. I like your thoughts about delayed gratification and slowing the collecting.
I found this stock pic of Little Ren on the wayback machine! Thought you might like to see it Angel Region Little Gienie Ren by Melissa, on Flickr
@midolls*melissa, thank you! That looks like the blue eyes that came with my Little Gienie Ren. And the cat applique on their hoodie is so cute. Giving me a sewing idea...
