I've been toying with the idea of buying a Mono straight from Eosdolls. Has anyone done this recently? I am a bit confused by the fact that there is no price mentioned on the site. Where do you find the price list?
I wondered too if she does provide another set of hands for mono. I dislike nails and I don't find his hands aesthetically pleasing and I am not sure if it is due to his nails only. Has anybody replaced them with another doll's hands?
Another question is: is she (the sculptor) planning to make a double-jointed body for him in the near future? I love the body but I already have 2 single jointed dolls and wish for better posability.

 

Please ignore my questions above. i've decided to go for an iplehouse jid instead. Still, the boy is an heartbreaker, i hope she'llupdate his joints.

 

Lim Hwa has answered my email very quickly. At the moment (I don't know if the prices will change in the near future), it costs $300.00 for Limhwa Limho Mono with eyes and wig and $280.00 without eyes and wigs. He has only the one set of hands and his creator will not upgrade him to double joints. This last bit is a real pity. My dream would be that she finds a manufacturer willing to upgrade the joints and have the end product looking less rough. The boy would sell like hotcakes.

 

Lilla the body isn't too bad though, even with single joints. JIDs (at least the male ones) - despite being double jointed - also aren't that posable (+ they are HUGE and never fit in regular MSD stuff). I funnily re-shelled the character of my JID Ryan into a Limhwa Mono back in 2011 (now I'm waiting on a new Ryan and I can't wait to take pics of him next to my two Monos XD)

 

Roterwolkenvogel, will you do a comparison between the JID and the Monos?
I haven't bought mine yet and I would be very interested to hear what are the pluses and minuses of each body.
I love the mono's skinniness but am very attracted by the JID's double-jointness.

 

Lilla I can certainly do that once he's here Should be fun to see how the skinny Mono body compares to the HUGE (not kidding) JID body xD

Oh no...I found a picture of Limhwa Mono and it was love at first sight! but I'm not familiar with this company so I have a few question for the owners of these lovely dolls!

I read that they are made of french resin, I also know that french resin tends to yellow faster and tan can get green over time. Do you think this will happen to these dolls? or do they have a special resin like Iplehouse who also uses french resin but has been able to come up with a less yellowing/greener alternative?

Can they wear regular MSD clothes? I'm still looking for pictures of Mono next to regular MSDs, if anyone has them please share!

yumi~ No experience with Monos in french resin here, but Limhwa does sell them in normal urethane (and not in french resin anymore if I'm not mistaken). So if you order a new one you should not have to worry about the disadvantages of french resin!
Clothes-wise, Mono does fit in regular Slim Mini clothes (they tend to be a wee bit short as Monos have rather long limbs), regular MSD stuff however might be too big. I sadly can't take a picture of my Mono next to a regular MSD, I only collect Slim Minis.

On another note, Rajko, my second tan Mono shipped from Junkyspot And Varekai finally got his amazing outfit by Nezumitoo and once I get his wig by eclipse I can finally show him all done (after he waited for three years, poor guy)!

 

Roterwolkenvogel Thank you!! I feel so much better now because they don't use french resin! congrats on tan Mono!! I'm still debating the skin tone I want to get...not now because I have to save money for Christmas x_X I'll probably order him next year...so please post lots of pictures of your guys

Got Rajko today and of course had to make a comparison with his half-brother Varekai… I lol’ed.

 

I just found out about this company and I'm in love with Mono!
I normally hate open mouths, but for some reason I'm just in love with this guy and is adorable teeth! I was planning on getting a fairydoll Mika, but I'm dying to get my hand on a tan doll and then I see this boy *u*

Does anyone know if the tan would match a spiritdoll tan? I'm not a big fan of Limhwa's joints and would want to hybrid Mono's head with a spiritdoll...another question can you just buy a head from them? Their site is difficult and if I buy from the junky spot the shipping to me would be at least 60usd for a head ;n;

sevenfawm I can't help you with the color match apart from my pic in the post above you about the new tan being really range but they sadly don't sell the heads on their own. And their site only accepts bank transfer and is IMO pretty confusing so I opte to order through Junkyspot as shipping wise it'd have made no difference to me xD

And Varekai got his eclipse21 wig recently ;u;

 

Hmmm...so I'd probably be good trying to buy from second hand if I just want the head? Or do you think the junkyspot would sell just the head?

Wow the difference is a lot o.o but both colors are pretty, did the 2009 Tan Mono came with that color or he mellowed during the years? I really like that color it looks the real skin color from Iplehouse.

 

sevenfawm it might be worth asking but I don't know how good the body alone would sell tbh so no clue if Junkyspot would agree to that. But it's worth a try I'd say! (for buying second hand same thing applies, no clue if anyone would split)

yumi~ I've had him since 2011 and he was rather pale-ish even back then but I'd say new he was a darker tone and definitely mellowed over the years

 

Double-post but Rajko came back from Dr. Krow and I'm still laughing over the difference between him and Varekai (both are tan Mons... xD)

I´m new to this doll discussion. I really like this mono boy and was thinking of getting one as Christmas present but I can not decide if I want him in NS or Tan.
Does anyone have a tan boy with the new tan resin ? Is it possible to have few pictures or links ?
I have seen Roterwolkenvogel pics but still can not make my mind. I have hard time seeing how really is the tan. Any daylight pictures ?

Sjota The on picture with the two Mono heads was taken in broad daylight, the new tan really has a pretty visible orange tint, like fake spray tan gone wrong.

Roterwolkenvogel, Rajko really does have a orange to his batch. I thought Lily was a bit orange and has settled some (she's from June 2014) but I think he's more so! Amazing how tan batches can really vary!

And yes it is one of my T-shirts, in addition to those for my shop I made a series for my boys, adapted to their personalities: Caïn ( my psychopathic geek) have a skull, a zelda and one "hello my name is god" and he my Willy (alias pony warrior ^^) have this t-shirt (the traduction is "I'm a princess and I f**k you"), one " I wanna be a pony " and one peter pan

Oh, @Youpla they are delightful together! I need to refresh James's face up (eek). I think I've honored the original face up long enough. I love the custom Lily faceups. My factory face up suits for now, but wow, I just love what you can do with these sculpts!
@Lady Jabberwock I love your boy too. Mono is such a versatile, lovely face!

As a side note, the loafer looking shoes on Alice's Collections are a bit big on Mono, but they fit James and he can stand in them! They look okay once he is standing. If I just had him a sweater and the right shirt, he would look so himself. I might have to suck it up and order their Argyle sweater for him after all and see if I can make it work.

Wow, so many handsome Mono boys! I neglected my boy for so long, I started to feel really bad, but he is now getting a complete makeover! He's currently being faceupped, I'm hoping to get him a custom made wig, and I might try to snatch a pair of DollBakery eyes for him in their upcoming preorder. Hopefully I can show him to you soon! In the meantime, I will look at everyone's lovely boys and be jealous, lol!

Roterwolkenvogel- May I ask where you got those clothes? I am looking for some fantasy-esque clothes in this size and you always have the best outfits!

 

@Youpla Thank you As for his weapon, I'd love to make it myself but I'm absolutely untalented - I'm trying to get my hands on some of the Withdoll weapons though.

@zomijrate Rajko is wearing the shirt from the Tonner Aragorn outfit and the vest was a gift from nezumitoo - most of my fantasy stuff is made by nezumitoo though b/c she nails what I want xD The kimonos are mostly by flowergirl. I can wholly recommend both as really talented seamstresses!

 

I adore nezumitoo's work! I have a custom outfit by her on one of my SDs and it is flawless. I didn't know that she sewed for this size though! I shall start saving up And flowergirl is currently finishing up a commission for my Supia girl! Lol, we have the same tastes in clothes! xD

And I have been searching ebay for that Tonner set, but no luck yet. And there are sooo many other Tonner outfits that I'd love to eventually get for my other MSDs.

Youpla- You have a 3D printer? How cool! I'd love to hear about what weapons you decide to make. I love doll sized weaponry!

 

@zomijrate She thankfully works for MSDs too xD Otherwise I'd be so SOL with my fantasy clothing addiction, esp. since I rarely find what I wat pre-made and am depending 99% on custom made stuff xD
