Lightroom!

Yes! I have only very recently got Lightroom (5) - and as I haven't yet got any kind of manual, it's v much trial and error for me... Here's a before and after when I was trying for a dark and spooky effect...

I use Lightroom and I love it to pieces since it gives you so much more control than just straight up editing in photoshop. I mostly use it since I shoot RAW and It's definitely one of the better programs for managing the files that I've used so far, well... Capture One is arguably more powerful but I hate how you end up with files all over the place with that and how much memory it uses, LR is just a lot more streamline, it's definitely a huge improvement compared to photoshops built in RAW editor since that's pretty clunky. x_x

I usually do a few additional tweaks in PS with a lot of my shots but this one was pretty much a straight edit in LR:

 

They look great though Razzy ^^ It really makes the colours and contrast pop without looking obviously heavily edited.

 

I LOVE Lightroom, I was very disappointed however when I updated my LR3 to LR5. They heavily changed the Clarity function in 4 (didn't knew about that) and I was shocked when I edited my photos for the first time with LR5
Everything looked so different than usual, and I was really glad I was able to switch back to LR3 to achieve the look again that I prefer for my pictures.

(don't have a comparison right now, I only use it as a step inbetween the original photo and PS and thus always delete the Lightroom only photo)
